This is always a fun place to eat and we've been coming to this chain for years. We came on a Saturday night and it wasn't too busy at 6pm. The food was great, portions are big, and overall we are very pleased. Service wise there were a few hiccups. Our main entrees didn't for a loooong time and our dirty appetizers plates were never taken away. For about 15 minutes we sat there while the plates were sitting and my glass of water empty. Someone in our party ordered a cup of coffee and even after appetizers it still didn't arrive. I actually spoke to the manager on site at the time and she was really helpful and had the food brought out shortly after that. She made sure that we were taken care of and we really appreciate her. The server also came by to apologize, stuff like that happens we all have a bad day. Glad that we said something so that they knew what was happening and fixed it.

Lasagna (I cut it in the middle). Volume-wise, it fills less than half of the container.

I ordered lasagna to go, noted to be good for 3-4 people, $40, $50 with tax and tip. I was impressed with the size of the aluminum container 12" x 6" at the top, 3" tall and tapering toward the bottom indicating the it would be substantial. I opened the cover at home to find the lasagna only filled 2/3 of the container and actually much less than that considering the vertical sides of the lasagna. Suddenly, my view changed from "a pretty good deal" to "another over-priced deal". I ate 1/4 of the lasagna + noodles I added for lunch. The lasagna was great! It just happens to be very small. I am grateful that they were open on Thanksgiving!!!

Okay. So my parents are in town and I got a takeout order for them. Whatever... the food is pedestrian and underwhelming. I expected that, although this Buca is worse than the average Buca. I'm giving them two stars largely based on the immense number of fake reviews that they purchased. Look at all the recent reviews. Look at how many call out "Cynthia" or "Emily." When do you see that? Who remembers the server's name at a chain restaurant? Am I supposed to believe that around 50 people did in the past few months and they all had a flawless 5-star experience? Please. Note that this place has like 480 not recommended reviews, all of which are terrible. Also this is the saddest neon sign that I have ever seen. I think if you want a image of the quality here, check out how there is zero attention or maintenance to this thing.

Not going to lie: came here after I heard of many of the stores closing I had a great time. I so liked the ambiance. Guilty pleasure ? Maybe. But the food was very good and our server , Andrea , was awesome. I had a great time and I actually enjoyed the food. The service was awesome

Penne alla Vodka Prosciutto Stuffed Chicken Carbonara lemonade

Food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Chicken Carbonara and the Penne ala vodka. Those are my two favorite go to orders. All the food is fresh and with great quality. The whole ambiance had great aesthetic and service. Both Bianco and Emily helped me a ton with any questions that I had. Even the manager, Dalia, personally answered and helped me out during busy times just to show how important they value the customers. By far the best restaurant you'll find. Family friendly and easy. Matias assisted me with any to go boxes and saw that I needed some. They have an amazing team, huge kudos to the kitchen. 5/5 stars check them out!

Andrea left a buca sized impact on our party of 11! Single handedly took care of everyone's needs with great customer service and quick responses. She surely deserves B.I.P, and cannoli believe how great she is. Bonus points if you get the pope room.

Food is plentiful. We started with the chopped antipasti salad and proscuitto stuffed mushrooms. Salad came with pepperoncini, which is a plus. Stuffed mushrooms were delightful! Next came our entrees, lasagna and pizza. Lasagna was piled high with a hint of sweetness. Pizza was thin crust. Bring your appetite because these are family sized portions.

OMG!!! I took my mother out last night around 6pm for her birthday, and we decided to stop here. Our waitress Andrea was incredibly helpful with suggestions. In just got back to bucca and I'm so amazed that the service has only gotten better in the last few years. Buca has gone downhill from 15 or so years ago. Our meal for a party of 12 was completely disappointing. Nothing was good, most dishes were just average and some poor. Frankly it breaks my heart since we used to celebrate so much (not at Redondo location, so maybe it's just this location). I would avoid. Server was great however. read more

We eat here a few times a year and we happened to have a great server named Cynthia. She took our order with a smile and got us drinks right away. We had her on our last visit and she was great then too!!!!! The manager on duty was great too her name was Vetta. She touched tables and made our night memorable as well. First time here and we were pleasantly surprised with the food and service! It looks like an Italian mom and pop shop! We ordered the summer value meal, which came with garlic bread, cesar salad and fettuccini Alfredo. We also got a side of fried mozzarella and they were amazing. I had a terrible experience here at the Redondo beach location. I ordered the lasagna I had to send it back. I ordered three kids spaghetti and meatballs That I Had to send back because one of them had a hair in it. I paid $15 for garlic bread which is free at Olive Garden and $27 for a salad that it is not even as good as Olive Garden my 10yr had minestrone soup which she did not care for We also had 4 soft drinks totaling $20 my bill was $80 I wasn't happy. We decided to treat ourselves to a wonderful meal at Buca tonight. It had been in a while since dining here, the food and the service never disappoints. Our server Christopher was especially helpful with ordering, super attentive and pleasant. I have never had a bad experience with service at this particular location , everyone has always been incredibly welcoming and friendly. I also really enjoy the homey atmosphere. The decor is wonderfully kitchy and I love looking at everything on the walls and ceilings. Of course the food is the star and we left completely satisfied and happy. The most disappointing part is that they sell themselves as a mom and pop Italian restaurant... when in reality they are not and owned by a company that runs other franchisees. So, the lot know better... it was just a bust and we will not be returning.

We've been coming here for around 20 plus years. In all that time I've never encountered any problems until I had to deal with the worst manager ever whose name is Felipe. He is a definite "0" stars alone & should be fired because he's horrible at what he does. He made the situation about him & what he wants rather than the customer. He obviously has no clue as to what customer service is. He needs a lesson in that department. I phoned in an order to pick @4:20. It was estimated 20-25 min. I arrived at location @5. Abigail, which was very sweet informed me my order was never put in. They put a special rush and 15 min later it was ready. I went in because I had a email for $20 off $40 offer, which I used. I spoke to the manager Felipe to see if he could take off a little something for my inconvenience of waiting and their mix up with my phone order. He responded "well you only had to wait 15 min." I told him I shouldn't have waited at all because of their mistake. He had a smug smirk while he was addressing me and proceeded to argue with me and instead of listening to ME the customer, instead he told me I only waited 15 min. I feel that he didn't care about the customer and I have been going to this location for over 15 years and this experience has been the worst, due to the manager. He said that he could give me a $15 off, but couldn't use my original discount. I told him it didn't make sense since mine was a better deal. Waiting almost an hour is absolutely not acceptable. He pretty much ignored me and took my credit card. As a manager, he DOES have the authorization for make adjustments, even if it is a small token for a customer that frequently does family catering with them. He was a horrible example of management skills. But again Abigail was very kind and sweet to help manage the situation. Now, I'm no Italian but I grew up in Little Italy in NYC and my mom's boss was a straight fkn Guido from Sicily. I can tell you now that for a corporate restaurant chain, this is as close to home cooking as you can get. The pastas are all fabulous. The specialties are also amazing. Chicken Parm, Frutti Di Mare are my personal faves. And the amount of food you get should be illegal! A "small" feeds 4 people, seriously! I take my kids here all the time. And they offer really good coupons if you sign up. This isn't just dinner. This is dinner/lunch/dinner. I fed 5 people for less than 60.00 if you do it right. I wish I could give this place zero stars. Our recent experience was an absolute disaster, all thanks to the rude and unprofessional behavior of the front hostess. We arrived with a large party and simply asked if we could be seated together at one table. This seemingly straightforward request completely flustered the hostess, who then had a meltdown and cussed at us. To make matters worse, the management did absolutely nothing to deescalate the situation. No apology, no attempt to rectify the issue - just silence and indifference while the hostess continued to glare at us as we were seated. The lack of basic courtesy and customer service was astonishing. We won't be returning and strongly advise others to avoid this place if they value being treated with respect. read more

Still a fan...went here today for my son's birthday celebration. Eleven of us ate for $250 w/ tip - that's about 23 dollars each. Not bad, plus we came home with 4 boxes of left overs. Man, is it noisy in there...a very festive environment, which was great for the whole family. When we arrived at 5 PM, there were 6 servers waiting next to the hostess podium, and no one in the lobby. It got busy quick. I felt sorry for our server - he had 3 huge tables, including ours. When we left, there were about 40 people waiting for tables in the lobby. It was packed. Would recommend a weeknight, not a Saturday, and call in your reservation at least a day in advance. The best thing is the prosuto-stuffed chicken...wow, so amazingly good. read more

I am from Phoenix Arizona and I came to California for a funeral with my family. After the funeral we made a reservation at Buca Di Beppo. We had a party of 18. First we get there and they tell us our table isn't ready, then when it was ready the table only sat 14. The remanding 4-5 people that didn't have a seat sat at the table across. They got told that the table that they were at was reserved for another party so they cleaned a half ass slanted booth table and that is were they sat. The food was late and cold the service was awful. Their "fake sorry's" are pathetic. Kristina ( "the manager") if you are reading this ...... you do NOT know how to run a restaurant. I advise people not to eat here. Save your money. read more

Overall, my experience at Buca di Beppo was just okay. I chose this restaurant for my graduation dinner. The food was satisfactory. Making and modifying my reservations with Kristian and Jennifer was seamless; they were prompt, professional, and accommodating. The service was also professional and polite. However, one major issue significantly marred our evening. The photographer persistently harassed my guests and me to buy photos, despite our repeated polite refusals. This added unnecessary stress and significantly detracted from the celebration. In summary, while the food and service were adequate, the aggressive behavior of the photographer seriously undermined the experience. read more

Just got home from having an amazing dinner with my family. It was my son's 25th birthday and we had a party of 18. I apologize that I didn't catch the wonderful waitresses name, it was a little chaotic and loud at our table. She was so sweet and on top of everyone's glasses and had great recommendations for us. We all had a great time and felt like we were at home! Also I wanted to say that the valet went above and beyond. My mother is disabled and he was so patient and even made sure that he parked as close to the curb as possible so that she could easily get into the car. Things like that might seem small and simple but what a great act of kindness it was to us!! read more

We came here after a beach day in Redondo. First thing we ordered was a pitcher of Sangria. The sangria was pretty much all ice and water with a splash of wine for color. Spaghetti was bland and waay overcooked. The service was barely keeping up - wanted to order more drinks for obvious reasons, but no one came to take our order. Our pizza was all burnt on the bottom... maybe this place was great at one point - but it felt like no-one really cared about the food quality. best part was the pepperoni on our pizza - really tasty. Worst part? $100 for small spaghetti, small pizza, and calamari - don't mind paying for quality but c'mon! Never coming back. read more

I have eaten at a few different Buca's and this was the first time I was disappointed in the experience. I love their food in general but this one time I ate at the Redondo location with my family they brought out a pizza but it had a hair on it, that kinda ruined my wife's and my appetite, but my son went ahead and ate the pizza anyway! I wanted to be very discreet but the staff kinda made us feel like we made it up so it was very uncomfortable. Anyway they comped the pizza and of course we paid for the rest of the meal which was fine but the manager and server really made us feel bad when it wasnt our fault. I'm visiting from Kentucky and decided to try Buca di Beppo for the first time. Our server Emily explained the meal sizes and helped us decide between Spaghetti and Meatball and Chicken Parmigiana. The chicken parmigiana was amazing and left me and my family full! Emily warned us that we would probably have left overs and we sure did haha! Thank you so much for your awesome service, my family and I will definitely be back! (I also want to note that we brought our younger children with us and Emily was so great with them, which truly meant so much to us as going out with younger children can sometimes be nerve wracking) read more

Our experience at buca was as usual...outstanding. Got seated right away with a nice table, the waiter Santiago was very helpful. Took our appetizer and drinks as soon as we sat. It was my girlfriends birthday so we did want as perfect as can be and unfortunatley she ordered a new pasta that wasnt up to her taste...but not a problem, the manager Alex came out and swapped our meal no problem and even made us laugh and feel comfortable(great manager). My dads chicken marsala was THE SHIT ;) hahah and it made alex laugh so overall this was a great dinner!!! Will definitley be back for more read more

I think this place is great for groups and families. I came with a group of 7 on a saturday night and it was pretty busy. There were other large groups here as well. So I believe the place is always loud. The service was great. The food - eh. I didn't really have anything I loved. To me, the meatballs were great. The calamari was ok, I've had better. The portions are very large by the way so definitely share. Which makes the price worth it i guess. Would I come back? Maybe for a birthday or something. Not a place I'd die to try again. read more

Joined 2 other families with dinner reservations for total of 6 adults and 5 children and wasn't expecting much. Parking was a little challenging walking across hilly parking lot as their parking lot is tiny. Place was packed with people but no wait and seated within 5 minutes. Seated in nice corner with bench and comfortable. We all enjoyed all the dishes but we especially enjoyed the margharita pizza, cold cut salad, and chicken pasta primavera. The pasta was very garlicy and tasty. Waiter provided good service. read more

That visit please do not visit this customer we had a reservation for a have a birthday in last minute they called us and canceled our reservation because they had kitchen problems! They said they would offer us a gift card which never came and now we had to make other arrangements. This is not professional. This is not acceptable. Imagine if a TGI Friday's defecated in an Olive Garden. That's the best way I can describe this establishment. The food lies on a spectrum between average and terrible. If you ever wanted to eat Stauffer's tv dinner Italian food in a room with random shit on the walls, this is the place. I went to Buca Di Beppo to watch a basketball game and let me tell you...This place has a sweet DVD/VCR combo 21" tube tv. Like I said, this place is awful. I love Italian chain restaurants, but not this one. read more

I'm not a good judge on food because when i'm hungry i'm hungry! but to me the food here always tastes great I really like the fact that when I order things I always have special requests being more cheese less croutons whatever they always live up to the request. I think its a great place for parties and sharing the portions are really big and the price is great. I think its worth it! I came to this restaurant a few days ago. My server was by far the most interactive and friendliest server I could have asked for. His name is Bianco. He was very patient with me, even when I stuttered or couldn't say the name of the dish correctly. Furthermore he brought my Spicy Chicken Rigatoni as quickly as he could. I would salute the chef as well if I had known their name. Overall, Bianco made my visit very magnificent and i do plan on coming here again. read more
