This is always a fun place to eat and we've been coming to this chain for years. We came on a Saturday night and it wasn't too busy at 6pm. The food was great, portions are big, and overall we are very pleased. Service wise there were a few hiccups. Our main entrees didn't for a loooong time and our dirty appetizers plates were never taken away. For about 15 minutes we sat there while the plates were sitting and my glass of water empty. Someone in our party ordered a cup of coffee and even after appetizers it still didn't arrive. I actually spoke to the manager on site at the time and she was really helpful and had the food brought out shortly after that. She made sure that we were taken care of and we really appreciate her. The server also came by to apologize, stuff like that happens we all have a bad day. Glad that we said something so that they knew what was happening and fixed it.

Lasagna (I cut it in the middle). Volume-wise, it fills less than half of the container.

I ordered lasagna to go, noted to be good for 3-4 people, $40, $50 with tax and tip. I was impressed with the size of the aluminum container 12" x 6" at the top, 3" tall and tapering toward the bottom indicating the it would be substantial. I opened the cover at home to find the lasagna only filled 2/3 of the container and actually much less than that considering the vertical sides of the lasagna. Suddenly, my view changed from "a pretty good deal" to "another over-priced deal". I ate 1/4 of the lasagna + noodles I added for lunch. The lasagna was great! It just happens to be very small. I am grateful that they were open on Thanksgiving!!!

Okay. So my parents are in town and I got a takeout order for them. Whatever... the food is pedestrian and underwhelming. I expected that, although this Buca is worse than the average Buca. I'm giving them two stars largely based on the immense number of fake reviews that they purchased. Look at all the recent reviews. Look at how many call out "Cynthia" or "Emily." When do you see that? Who remembers the server's name at a chain restaurant? Am I supposed to believe that around 50 people did in the past few months and they all had a flawless 5-star experience? Please. Note that this place has like 480 not recommended reviews, all of which are terrible. Also this is the saddest neon sign that I have ever seen. I think if you want a image of the quality here, check out how there is zero attention or maintenance to this thing.

Not going to lie: came here after I heard of many of the stores closing I had a great time. I so liked the ambiance. Guilty pleasure ? Maybe. But the food was very good and our server , Andrea , was awesome. I had a great time and I actually enjoyed the food. The service was awesome

Great service and good they are so kind and Efficient thank you so so much. This will be our 28th luncheon. 15 years we have been meeting at Buccas.

Penne alla Vodka Prosciutto Stuffed Chicken Carbonara lemonade

Food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Chicken Carbonara and the Penne ala vodka. Those are my two favorite go to orders. All the food is fresh and with great quality. The whole ambiance had great aesthetic and service. Both Bianco and Emily helped me a ton with any questions that I had. Even the manager, Dalia, personally answered and helped me out during busy times just to show how important they value the customers. By far the best restaurant you'll find. Family friendly and easy. Matias assisted me with any to go boxes and saw that I needed some. They have an amazing team, huge kudos to the kitchen. 5/5 stars check them out!

Andrea left a buca sized impact on our party of 11! Single handedly took care of everyone's needs with great customer service and quick responses. She surely deserves B.I.P, and cannoli believe how great she is. Bonus points if you get the pope room.

Food is plentiful. We started with the chopped antipasti salad and proscuitto stuffed mushrooms. Salad came with pepperoncini, which is a plus. Stuffed mushrooms were delightful! Next came our entrees, lasagna and pizza. Lasagna was piled high with a hint of sweetness. Pizza was thin crust. Bring your appetite because these are family sized portions.

I just remember waiting quite a long time since the house was packed on a Friday evening. Came today (also on a Friday evening), and they asked if we made a reservation, which felt silly because the restaurant was basically empty! Joined the waitlist anyways, we were the first in line, and they seated us like a minute later. I love the ambiance and bistro feel, especially the caligraphy on the walls and the open kitchen. The lights were flickering a bit, and it was slightly stuffy as well. The menu is designed beautifully; everything was designed to point to the food, pique interest. The Uni Truffle pasta was ok; couldn't make out either uni or truffle flavors, but it tasted great. It did leave a profound fishy aftertaste in my mouth though. From the one bite I had, I liked the Yuzu Peperoncino better; perfect balance of umami, tang, and spice. I remember appreciating the al dente noodles then, and I still appreciate it now. On the pricier side, I really do wish bread was offered (the only bread on the menu being $6 garlic bread for two slices). Great date spot, would come again for special occassions. Keep it up!

I WISH I LEFT A BIGGER TIP! .. and I hate tipping!…read more We just came back from Italy and had an amazing time there with the food we tried. Fatto a Mano sells pasta and pizza that takes us right back to Italy. If we ever miss that country, then this is the only place we have to go to satisfy any nostalgia. Marco is such an amazing host. He makes everything from scratch and is up front with how long it'll take for him to make your food. We got there right when it opened and the place filled up quickly. But he still made time to ask for our names and check in on us frequently. You can tell the customers love him because so many people came in and talked to him like they had known him for years. We got the carbonara and Estiva. The carbonara was perfect. Just like the way they make it in Italy. Al dente with the sauce perfectly integrated with the noodles. Generous with the ingredients and a flavor explosion with every bite. The Estiva is a pizza with basil pesto, yellow tomato confit, and "fior di latte' mozzarella. All I'll say is that it was delicious and any one who likes pesto needs to try this. Now, why do I wish I left a bigger tip? The delicious food would be enough but it was Marco! He addressed us by name every time he passed by. The most memorable aspect was when we were getting up to leave. He loudly said if we could please wait 5 minutes so that he could give us gelato for free! He was making it fresh as well so his machine needed some time. It was delicious! We threw our trash away and started to walk out, but then he told us to wait so that he could give us gelato again! I told him he already gave some to us and then he said we needed more... and that he insisted because "it is like 1000 degrees outside!" I'm guessing since they're coming to a permanent closure, it only makes sense that the quality of the experience (food and service) had began to going down. We were seated immediately, so we were off to a good start. It took a bit of time for Daniel (yep! We got the same server from the last time) to come around and get our orders. It wasn't too bad since the wait gave us the opp to decide on apps and mains, so we got to put all our orders in at once. CALAMARI: Battered thin and crispy. Dash of lemon juice made it better. Quality? Yes. Quantity? Not so much. I thought it was pricey for the amount we got. PEPPERCORN POLPETTINE: Meatballs in cream sauce. Even with the whole peppercorns, the sauce was good. The meatballs, however, didn't taste or look homemade at all. (I recently made frozen meatball soup at home and the meatball's flavor was pretty much similar.) So.. meh... BRUSCHETTA ALLA CHECCA: This was the best app out of the three. Crostini was perfect and the toppings were all perfectly balanced. SPAGHETTI AI NERO DI SEPPIA: Looked great, but lacked flavor. Asked for fresh grated cheese and added black pepper which helped a little, but still missing something... Hubbers got the linguine pesca mare which he loved (he emptied his plate!) So I guess that says a lot. And I'm really glad he liked it, being his birthday and all. He also chose crème brûlée to finish off his birthday treat. (No, they didn't comp it - which is fine, and I don't expect them - or any business - to, even more since they are shutting down. I understand they need all the profit they can get.) Overall a little less stellar than the first visit. I'll admit I was a teenee bit disappointed since we had an amazing experience the first time. We started with cocktails. I had the Mary Sue ("Pornstar Martini") with vodka, vanilla, passionfruit, salted lime, fino sherry, and champagne foam. YUM. Dangerously good. My husband had the Rob Gentile, an elevated Old Fashioned, and was thoroughly impressed. Service was great, and the food was top-notch. Let's dive in! Meatballs with beef, pork, ricotta, potato purée, tomato sauce, Grana Padano, and arugula--WOW. Cheesy, saucy perfection. Beef Tartare with tonnato, shallot, marjoram, crispy potato, and toast. Delicious and a generous portion. I ordered Coop's Pork Shank with Lambrusco-mustard glaze, aromatic jus, and potato purée. Tender, flavorful, and that broth was incredible. It paired perfectly with the broccolini... ...which we didn't order. We spotted the table next to us enjoying it with burrata and immediately added it to our "next time" list. My son ordered the Chicken Parm with capellini. He loved the huge chicken parm portion, which successfully fed his bottomless teenage appetite, but declared the pasta "too eggy." Teenagers are basically unpaid Michelin critics. My husband ordered the Scarpinocc with braised beef cheek, brown butter, sage, and saba. He loved it, but our resident food critic chimed in with, "I don't really taste the beef." Dessert was the cinnamon bread pudding with ice cream and caramel drizzle--absolutely worth saving room for. Everything was delicious, portions were generous, and we left happy (and full enough to feed a small submarine crew). Definitely coming back!

I was in the area looking for a lunch spot, and thanks to good old Yelp, I came across Jame…read moreEnoteca. Pressed for time, I opted for the lunch special menu, which offered several tempting choices. I started with the meatballs and followed them with the paccheri lisci. Both dishes were well-seasoned, packed with flavor, and did not disappoint. Jame Enoteca takes pride in its hand-rolled pasta, and it shows. The pasta tasted exceptionally fresh and was cooked perfectly al dente. The service was friendly, efficient, and attentive, which made the meal even more enjoyable. I especially appreciated the staff taking the time to explain the lunch specials that weren't listed on the menu. The restaurant itself is bright, welcoming, and filled with natural light, creating a cheerful atmosphere. I could easily see it serving as a great low-key dinner destination as well. If you're in the area, Jame Enoteca is definitely worth a visit.

Appetizers: beef carpaccio, calamari. Fresh ingredients, plated with care, well seasoned, sized like the starters they were. Pasta: Seafood Stuffed Ravioli in lobster sauce, Meat Lasagna with béchamel. The fresh pasta in both was exactly right. I ordered a bread basket just to chase the lobster sauce around the plate. The lasagna sent me back to Italy. No dessert this time. There will be a next time. And the three after that. I recommend.

Operating a restaurant is not an easy task, and as such we are understanding when something goes wrong. We are not as understanding when there are multiple issues. First off, the service was almost insulting. We had early reservations, so I don't think they were overly busy yet, but you wouldn't know that by our server. For all we know he could have been the Italian owner of the restaurant, and if that was the case, that made it even worse. Barely a greeting, no explanation of the specials, just a cheap plastic sleeve one would buy at Staples office supply thrown onto our table. He found our questions about the menu bothersome, and when I asked him about one item, he wrote it down as if I'd ordered it. Luckily we caught his error when I told him what I wanted for dinner and he said, "So you don't want the lasagna?" Um, no, I was just asking a question about the lasagna. We both ordered our meals along with the Heirloom Burrata appetizer. We asked if there was any bread with the appetizer, and he said no, so we asked for a bowl of bread to have with the burrata. It didn't show up, and we had to remind him. It finally arrived with our pasta. Oh well. My wife had ravioli stuffed with crab and lobster. She barely touched it and couldn't have been more disappointed. I told her to send it back, but she doesn't like confrontation. I had the cannelloni, and I have to steal a line I heard from another table: "This tastes like the stuffed shells I buy from Costco." It really did. I guess the pasta is homemade, but you sure couldn't tell from this dish. They came and picked up the dish without commenting on how little my wife had eaten. They asked if we wanted dessert, and, clearly expecting a no, plopped the bill down in front of me. We paid, yes we tipped, and immediately walked a few doors down to get my wife something to eat for dinner. We will never go back.

I ordered the truffle mushroom pizza and it was absolutely phenomenal. The crust was perfectly crisp on the outside while still light and airy inside. The truffle flavor was rich without being overpowering, and the mushrooms were fresh and perfectly cooked. Every bite tasted balanced and authentic, like the kind of pizza you hope to find in a small Italian spot that truly cares about the craft. Then came the Nutella calzone, and that alone is worth the visit. Warm, perfectly baked dough with Nutella inside that melts just right. Sweet, indulgent, and honestly one of the best dessert calzones I have ever had. Also the best and most polite service, wonderful people. I have had a lot of pizza around Los Angeles, and this is easily one of the best I have tried. If you are in Redondo Beach and appreciate real quality pizza, this place is a must. Great flavors, great execution, and a spot I will definitely keep coming back to. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend.
