I love pho, and buckeye pho is the best. The broth is delicious with the onion and cilantro- you gotta get the rare steak pho and add in the jalapeños and basil and Duce while it's still cooking the steak so all the flavors meld together. My husband loves pho and so we were very excited to try a new Vietnamese restaurant. He had the jumbo pho which seems to be the same size as the others but with all the meat options thrown in there. He enjoyed it and it compared well with his favorite pho place in the North Market. I ordered the beef and spring roll vermicelli noodle bowl. I thought the pour- over sweet sauce was a little weak, but overall, it was a nice dish with a good balance of noodles, veggies and meat amounts. We liked the decor of the restaurant and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. There were a lot of Vietnamese customers there which I always take as a good sign. As we like to go out for a late supper on Friday nights, the fact that it is open until 10:30pm on Friday and Saturday is a plus for us.....and it was still pretty busy when we left at 10pm, so we didn't feel we were keeping the staff from going home as we have in other places. OK...After revisiting Buckeye Pho I'm tossing them a few more stars. My soup was delicious and a perfect remedy for a shitty, cold and wet evening. I was in such a good mood I don't even recall how much it was. Life is short...what's an extra buck or two for good food? We got pho and the beef bahn mi. The bahn mi was pretty good. The meat was tender and flavorful. The bread was fresh with the right soft to crisp ratio. The vegis weren't as flavorful as i would have liked and it didn't have that nice spread of mayo that coextensive on bahn mi. I would eat the sand which again. The pho was the problem. It was okay, but not great. The broth was too bland. It lacked the depth and clarity of Mi Li. I would not come here for pho again. They do give you a stair amount for the price. read more

I love the food, it's vegan friendly, I highly recommend the subs with tofu instead of meat. There s only like 2 or 3 options for pure vegans but that's ok. I still love the all vegetable soup and sub!! The only down side is that sometimes it gets SO busy that you'll have to wait for a table, you'll have to take your food to go or you'll kinda be rushed out to seat someone else. I am an out of towner. I visit Columbus often and always disappointed in asian restaurants. Today my luck as turn around. I ran into Buckeye Pho. The taste was genuine vietnamese. Pho was perfect, not too salty or sweet (which mean lots of MSG). Their spring rolls were just fresh and NOT chewy. I also recommend their stew noodle, just delicious. The restaurant workers were helpful and dedicated to serve their costumers. I just love the modern look of the restaurant. It makes eat more pleasurable when you are eating at a clean atmosphere. What is Pho? Well I don't know, but it is DAMN good! A wonderful soup with noodles, meat and then some make your own bits. It is a great "make your own" environment as you are given a plate of add ons to put in your soup to fill it with the flavors you want. As my other reviews state; I love Bun and Springrolls...both excellent here. My husband got the Bahn Mi sandwich and it was SO good and authentic, like I used to get back home. I may actually order the Bahn Mi when I go back, which says a lot as I never go off track of the vermicelli. They had a lot of what I assume authentic menu items I hadn't seen before.
