Called Budget Pest Control at 11pm on a Friday night after discovering a rat had gotten inside our house and after trying unsucessfully for 2+ hours trying to trap it. Mike was very calm and friendly and advised us it was not a good idea to chase after the rat, but rather, to isolate the rat and use a traditional rat trap to catch it. He said he would come by the next day to provide us with a complimentary inspection, recommendations and a quote for any services. It turns out we happened to have a spare rat trap and was able to set it up in the room where the rat was hiding, and voila, the rat was caught overnight. Mike still came by to make sure there were no more rats lurking in the house and did a thorough inspection inside and outside the house, identifying the likely entry points and what needed to be done to prevent future breaches. He said there didn't appear to be any serious infestation, and even though he wrote up a quote, he admitted I could probably take care of the minor fixes myself -- which we agreed. He even gave us some extra traps he had for free to help us trap any rats that may still be hiding in the attic after I seal up the identified entry points, and he carted off the dead rat we had caught. Mike was very friendly, professional, gracious and helpful. If we or anyone else we know ever have a rat problem that needs professional help, we will be sure to call on Mike again! read more

I'm hoping to be able to increase my star rating for this company because Mike is a nice guy and I think he does good work if you can get him out to your house. We have a roof rat problem; he charged is $290 up front supposedly to get rid of them but they are still here. Mike's voice mail box is full today, and I cannot find a web site so I have no way of contacting him, but I hope he reads this and empties his voice mail box (apparently a real problem: others have complained about that here) so that I can reach him. I'm losing sleep because of these rats and want him to complete the job we have already paid for. Hooray! I'm able to up my star rating to five stars. Mike has been very diligent about coming back to check on our situation, replace traps, etc. We finally had a tree trimmed that was touching our roof and allowing the rats easy access, so hopefully this problem will be over very soon. I met with Michael on a short notice, because there was a rampant bug problem specificaly with black widows and large roaches.! Yuck! I am a recent father of a beautiful daughter of 10 months, and the utmost importance is my family and loved ones. I called Michael and explained to him my situation via text messaging. Oh my gawd, Mike from Budget Pest Control is a life saver! We had a possum crawling around my neighborhood and I've seen it numerous times hanging around my home typically. Soon after, I started getting bug bites and it just kept getting worse and worse. Not knowing where it came from, I called Mike desperately to figure it out. He doesn't try to up sell you and instead had no idea what kind of bites they were without a bug present. I had a good experience. Mike came with fairly short notice due to a serious ant problem. He gave a warranty and explained that with ants it may not be 100% done on the first visit. He wiped out the main issue, the kitchen, but we still had an issue with a few stragglers upstairs. he came back and resprayed, and set bait upstairs. I was very satisfied with Mike's work. We had a huge problem with roaches coming into the house when we first moved in. The very best thing I can say about Mike is that I will definitely call him in the future to get rid of any pests around our house. Mike is totally professional, thorough and best of all, honest. Mike came out to get rid of our flea problem, and he sprayed inside our house and in the front and back yards, but I told him he didn't have to do the inside of the garage (he offered) because I didn't think the fleas were there and it was packed (and embarrassing!). I was able to find Mike and make an appointment with him. It seemed he was very busy and lots of customers that he has missed my voice messages. He came within the time-frame he had promised and we walked through the backyard as well as garage. He made some good suggestions regarding possible holes that rat/mouse can get in. The next spray would be after rain season ( noways, rain is fancy wish ) and my contract stil is valid for the quarterly treatment. I called Mike to help deal with rats in the attic. I discovered the problem after I heard gnawing on a light fixture and found droppings along with gnaw marks in the attic. I called and scheduled an appointment and he arrived within the timeframe we agreed upon. Mike was very informative and thorough, being able to identify the type of rat from the droppings, finding out where it got in, and finding the various places on the exterior of the house and inside the garage where they could get in. I discovered that the rat had even gone into the garage, and I hadn't even noticed! He gave me a very reasonable quote and I scheduled an appointment for the next day. Mike started out by setting traps on the first visit following the inspection/estimate, catching one by the second visit. The traps were all clear on the third visit, so he finished up by sealing up all of the places on the exterior of the house, roof, and inside the garage. We then had a walk-around where I could inspect all of the work. He has a good warranty in case there are still rat problems in the near future. All in all, it was a good experience. He was always on time and polite. I will contact Mike if I have any future pest problems. read more

Mike is the best. Patient, considerate, a class act. He is someone who knows everything there is to about pests. Yet he listens patiently, studies the nature of the problem and does everything possible to help. Let me explain the last bit some more. Mike came out to our place as we had a rodent issue. We had previously called someone else. They came sniffed around pulled out a dead rodent from the attic and left. The problem persisted. Mike came out and helped us with the problem. Not only that, he went around the house and roof multiple times to ascertain any areas the rodents could get in from. He also helped sealed what he thought were easy access areas for rodents to get in. All with a smile on his face! all the while carrying himself professionally. He left with additional advise for us to give to Orkin our pest control agency (who in my opinion failed to do their job). Mike was great, professional and friendly. It was back in September when I had called about a roach problem my mom had at her home he came out sprayed the home and bated the kitchen. Well now in February find out my moms bedroom had roaches in there. When I heard noise in the attic, I knew it wasn't good . I called Mike at Budget Pest Control and he answered my call at 9pm on a Tuesday night. He was very informative and polite. I made an apt with Mike the next day and to my surprise, Mike showed up on time and found the holes those SOB's where coming from. I had no idea and would have never imagined them coming from there. He plugged up holes on the roof joints and closed up some vents. After a couple of visits and 5 dead rats, the issue was gone. Went with this company b/c of yelp. Mike came right away the first time, fixed up some holes. Mice went away for ~ 2 weeks then came back. Don't know if b/c of the rains or not. Called him, and he came, but not sure if he did anything else, left without letting us know he left. He came back later, telling my dad that the mice are still trapped inside the house and that we should wait until we catch them all. ~$300 for a huge house.
