Stopped by here based on reviews as we were in the area. Service was excellent! The entire staff was outgoing and fun- yet professional. Hometown feel "for sure"! We came here for a light snack and felt welcome the moment we walked in. There is plenty to look at-lots of fun themed decor on the walls, cool jukebox playing a variety of music, and the restaurants atmosphere has a good vibe. The menu has much to offer. Seem to be a popular spot amongst the locals too! Our food was decent. We had two adult beverages and an appetizer-the wings. Prices were reasonable. We would DEFINITELY return if in Payson again. The food is good. I often get the wings extra crispy and they are in the top five in town IMO. Service can be hit or miss depending on how busy they are, but mostly hit. I always love going there whether for food, bar or both because it is a comfortable atmosphere. My biggest suggestion is that sometimes, I am not in a going-out mood. Nice pub and grill. Expanded menu. Decent prices. Patio is very cool, with a fireplace and a double waterfall, where birds come to drink. Also, dog friendly. Woof/yay! Had the pork tenderloin sandwich. Massive. Easily could have been shared. Fries were crispy shoestrings, and had a nice seasoning on them. Friend had an excellent cheeseburger that was charcoal grilled. Onion rings were also excellent - flavorful and not too greasy. Staff was very friendly and efficient, and lunch was perfectly paced. I had the zucchini appetizer with ranch dressing. Was a good amount. Crispy, flavorful with thin slices of zucchini. Hubby had the cheesesteak with onion rings. He said the meat was plentiful, flavorful but a bit greasy. Was your typical bar type atmosphere. Service was good as our waitress made sure our drinks were full and checked on us often. read more

I ate a warm salad. The noodles on the salad were stale. The only good thing on the salad was the chicken. I went in there I was starving so I ate all the chicken off and I attempted to eat the salad when I told my server that it wasn't good she just took half off. She didn't ask me if I wanted something else to eat so we ended up having to go somewhere else so I could get some food. Poor service, poor food. It's only a place for the locals the staff made that very clear. Place was dusty and stuff all over the floor. I will not visit again. read more

First off I loved our server Lindsay. She was great and super friendly. She hooked me up with the burger of my dreams- a burger I will dream about and make me drive up here to get again. MANY, MANY years later, nothing has changed as if this place is stuck in a time warp!! Their lunch specials are really a great value!! They have a lot of lunch choices for $10.00 and $11.00 which includes a side!! I honestly expected that they would have raised their prices like every other restaurant everywhere!! (I hope the owners don't see this review!! LOL!!) The teen ordered chicken strips. They were a bit flat, but they were big, and he ate them up with a smile. The fries were good. I ordered the fish. It was really good for the price!! I have a couple favorite fish fry places, but they are much more expensive! I would order the fish again I and have in the past as well!! The onion rings were really good for a dollar upcharge!! My hubby ordered the chicken philly cheesesteak, which has been on the menu for many years, and it is really good too!! The service was good, the food was good, and the atmosphere is very enjoyable as there is a lot of cool decor to observe and enjoy!! We arrived a few minutes before them opening at 11:00 and there were already other people waiting to get in!! Buffalo Bar and Grill First of all.. the service! This was one of the best places we've ever visited in terms of service! I think our waitress was either an owner or at least a manager and we were treated so amazing! We ordered the following: Crispy chicken salad - 7/10; everything was fresh and the chicken was great, it's exactly as you would expect! Shrimp and fish - 7.8/10; the shrimp was the star of the show (along with the cocktail sauce) my daughter really loved the fish. I would order it again! Cheeseburger - my son said this was his favorite burger he's ever had. He claims a 9/10. Kids shrimp - my daughter loved the seafood and for a non coastal town.. that is awesome! It was fast, it was fresh, and we left with full bellies! We also got the buffalo chip for dessert and it was freaking amazing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! read more

After the rodeo last night we stopped to eat at the Buffalo Grill. The website indicated they were open until 9 pm so we left the rodeo at 815 thinking that would allow ample time to be served dinner. We had guests visiting from out of town and this was one of two restaurants we were excited about taking them to. I went in to the restaurant at 8:25 and wasn't even greeted by the three staff chatting at the bar. I politely interrupted and asked if they were still serving dinner. They hesitated and finally shrugged stating they "guessed" but had already started to clean the kitchen. I said great-we have 4 adults and 3 kids. Everyone came in and we started to sit down when the server approached the table with attitude. My daughter asked again if they were serving. She said "well we ARE closing in 20 minutes" which would have been 8:50 pm. We got the hint that our business wasn't needed or wanted so we decided to leave On the way out I said, "If you're open you're open. If you're closed, then you're closed and you need to lock the door." She snapped back with a comment about the 20 minute closing timeframe. Disappointing. The food there is decent and atmosphere is usually lively but last night's experience was so less than that we won't be back. If you're looking for a good, casual dining experience in Payson, El Rancho across the street consistently serves great food, drinks and most importantly truly excellent service! Don't take your chances at the Buffalo Grill! They already have enough business so yours just doesn't matter. read more

Stopped in at the Buffalo bar and Grill based upon our friends recommendation. Supposed to have the best burgers around... Have to agreed, And onion rings or sweet with a delicious batter yes side to perfection! Good service and the best part is the dog friendly patio. We always look for dog friendly restaurants because our furry friend goes everywhere with us. And true to the name you can actually eat buffalo and other interesting meats like elk. We dropped in Sunday. Place was packed but snagged a high top. Ordered the jalapeño poppers, just delicious. Crispy cheesy with some heat. Considering it was the weekend we both had the elk burger. One medium, one medium rare. Medium rare was definitely the way to go. Amazing taste, great tater tots, great onion rings. Can't beat it. We will be regulars next time we are in town. This bar was great when we visited Payson this weekend. It's cozy and decorated with tons of western decor. The waitress staff is slow with service but courteous and the despite waiting a little longer than I would have in a valley restaurant, the food was great. I had the open face chili burger. Menu said the chili was homemade and it didn't disappoint. For dessert, I had the Buffalo Chip which was delish. Chocolate chip cookie with ice cream and chocolate sauce.
