Pablo on the phone was incredibly friendly -- like, too good at his job -- which may or may not have influenced my ordering decisions. I started out with a simple extra-large pizza, then suddenly found myself adding garlic bread like I was preparing for an important life event. No regrets. Customer service? Absolutely top-tier. Fast, polite, and dangerously persuasive in the best way. I really love this pizza place! They consistently deliver great quality, and it's my go-to for pizza night. Even when my fiancé suggests ordering from a closer location, I always prefer to make the drive to this little gem because the taste and quality are just that good. Their service is solid, and I've always felt a sense of pride when they're giving us our pizza. They may forget to ask if we need anything else before we pay, so have that in mind if you're going to order extras, like they yummy ranch or jalapeño, as they do charge for those. Btw, the jalapeños used to be our fave but they may have changed brands, as they're not as delicious as they used to be. The location is in a small spot, so there's no dining in, and parking is tight, but worth it every time. While some reviews mention parking being a bit shady near the liquor store, I've never had any issues and always felt safe picking up my pizza. Of course, we always want to be aware of our surroundings no matter where we're at. I highly recommend Roman's for anyone looking for reliable and delicious pizza! AWARENESS: The wife and I stayed in West Sacto this past weekend (12/28/24) and I was craving pizza. I didn't want to drive too far so, with the help of my fellow Yelpers, we found Roman's Pizza. NARRATIVE: After calling in our order for an extra large, combination pizza, without bell peppers, we were given a 45 minute window for pick-up. When we arrived at Roman's, I mentioned to the wife the place reminded me of the corner pizza shops in New York. Walk in and take out only. No seating. No tables. No counters to lean on. After inspecting our pies smell and looks, we boogied back to our hotel for the taste test. The pizza comes with a foldable, thin crust. Lots of meats, green onions and cheese. And the sauce was good and tasty and not over-powering with flavors. A really decent pizza for the cost. SCENE: Roman's Pizza is located off W Capitol Avenue and Westacre Rd., behind the Capitol Gyros and across the street from the McDonalds. Wanted to try a local pizza spot and was recommended Roman's pizza. When entering, the worker was very welcoming and suggested the current specials available, when I visited. I opted for one of the specials. They only offer takeout, there's no dining in. The pizza was alright, but was very impressed by their wings. I asked for extra crispy and it turned out to be my favorite, wish there were more flavors available though. A West Sacramento institution! Best pizza in town. The service here is always on point. The pie here is always fresh and hot. My family and I love it and it's always the first place we think of when craving pizza. Now that they're on DoorDash it's even easier to order and have it brought to the doorstep. They no longer do dine in. But they do offer a free 2 liter when you pick up. Parking lot can be a bit sketchy but you can park at the door so you're safe. The wings here are really good too! Recently moving to W Sac had me scrambling to find my new "go to" pizza place to order when hosting a party. After crowd sourcing the neighbors and coming up empty, I decided to take a risk and order from Romans for a Halloween block party. First off, the girl I spoke with on the phone was very helpful so 1 star! Sadly, they don't deliver directly so minus 1 star. However, they do deliver through DoorDash which is a great alternative if you use the app. But the best part of my impromptu order is that the pizza at Romans is GREAT! I ordered 4 large pizzas-a couple of cheese and a couple of pepperoni. Now, you may think these are basic, but I tend to gauge how good a place is on how well they make the simple things. I'd be skeptical if a pizza place couldn't make a delicious cheese pizza! It highlights the sauce, the crust and if they do the cheese to sauce ratio right. I'm happy to report that Romans did both really well. No burnt crust or cheese on top (ugh the worst). Perfectly cooked pizza with crunch at the initial bite on the crust but a soft middle with perfect sauce to cheese and cheese/pepperoni ratio. Everyone who ate the pizza that night asked me where the pizza was from. I grew up eating this pizza and it's definitely a favorite! It's usually ready before the estimated time and the staff are friendly and efficient. The crust is just right and they are willing to make a lot of adjustments to your pizza to fit your needs. The only down side I would say is that it's pretty much take out only due to no seating inside. read more

I am very disappointed with this establishment's delivery service and customer service. The woman that answered the phone to take down my order had me repeat my card number numerous times. She informed me that my card was declined multiple times, which is incorrect. Then, she accused me of giving her an extra number. I am reading her the card number as it is displayed on the card. After numerous attempts, she eventually punched in the correct card number. The delivery driver did not wear a face covering when delivering my pizzas. After reading a few of the reviews, I decided that I was gonna give this place a try. I didn't know the location I just went for it and let me tell you despite being over 7 miles away. Although the wings were baked, they were quite good (for baked). Was disapointed in the bbq chicken pizza - the sauce seemed overly sticky/sweet.
