A Night was Had!!!! Ambiance was divey but super friendly. We came based on a recommendation from Paisley Park tour guide. All ages, ethnicities were represented. I felt so alive. Doc Mamba band was fire!! They blew the doors off the place!!! This was my favorite experience of Minneapolis

Fun night out with the girls on a late Friday! There's a $10 charge to get in so bring some cash with you. The place was packed so we decided to order drinks first and make our way towards the stage because why not lol. The vibe was chill but fun if that makes sense! My friends appreciated the fact that there was a variety of age range so if that's something you like too this will be a good place to check out. The band was engaging and had some good songs ranging from slow to upbeat. There was a very helpful server and she made sure we were hydrated especially water because we danced the night away! I think we will go back again soon

Four stars for an authentic and rowdy good time! Bunker's Music Bar & Grill is the ultimate dive bar experience. If you're after cheap drinks, phenomenal live music, and a vibe that's buzzing with energy, this place has it all. Atmosphere The venue itself is spacious, but don't let that fool you--you'll still find yourself crammed nose to neck with fellow patrons on busy nights. The tight quarters only add to the electric energy of the place, making it feel like a true dive bar classic. Everyone's here for a good time, and the packed space makes it easy to soak in the excitement. Drinks The drinks are cheap, no-frills, and generously poured. Whether you're going for a cold beer or a mixed drink, you won't leave disappointed--or broke. Live Music The live music is absolutely incredible. They bring in top-notch local and regional acts that make every night feel like a concert. Even in a crowded space, the sound carries beautifully, and the performers always bring their A-game. Service Despite the wall-to-wall crowd, the bartenders are fast and friendly. Be prepared to wait a bit at the bar when it's packed, but trust me--it's worth it. Final Thoughts Bunker's Music Bar & Grill is the kind of place that stays with you. The drinks are affordable, the music is unforgettable, and the atmosphere is unapologetically dive bar perfection. Spacious yet packed, lively yet intimate--it's a must-visit for locals and travelers alike.

This is a great spot with a wonderful happy hour, live music, and tons of memorabilia. It's your classic dive bar without horrible bathrooms! So glad we stopped by and had a few, its worth a look when in the neighborhood!

Sandwich and soup combo - clam chowder and full turkey w/ chips, that's a lot of food

Bunker's is best known for live music, but a little known secret is they also serve food during lunch on week days. Typically, it's people who live or work in the North Loop who know about this and if you're in the neighborhood, I recommend checking it out. I've been here a couple of times and have tried a few things and suffice to say, the food is pretty good. Bunker's has your typical sandwiches, salads and soups, burgers, etc. but what I'm most impressed with is the house turkey and other lunch meats, which seem to be made in-house. The first time I tried Bunker's for lunch, I got the Signature Sandwich, which is the hot pot roast sammie - it's a large fork and knife type of meal served with a generous portion of homemade mashed potatoes and topped with beef gravy. I've also tried the soup and sandwich combo (natural ham; turkey breast - think Thanksgiving type turkey, not cold cut; grilled cheese or Albacore tuna salad) served on a whole grain wild rice bread (yum) with lettuce and tomato. Bunker's switches up their soups and I've tried both the clam chowder on Friday and the wild rice - both very good. Even though there's soup, you still get some kettle chips with the combo and for a whopping $1 more, you can get a full sandwich or if you aren't too hungry, you can save the dollar and get half a sandwich, either way, it's a lot of food! The real star of the lunch menu, in my view, is the New Yorker - it's lean pastrami and thinly sliced turkey on grilled sourdough with swiss, smoked provolone and a dark mustard. While this sandwich might not be as big as Katz's deli in NYC, it's still a great, little known sandwich in Minneapolis. As most people know in the North Loop, free parking is scarce but there are plenty of metered spots nearby.

Before we even got there, we could smell this place, a GREAT sign! The hostess was lovely and guided us to our seats right away! The first thing I noticed was the decor is slightly dark and moody! Perfect for a romantic date! Plenty of candles flickering on each table! The kitchen is open, so it was fun to watch! Our only complaint is that the tables are fairly close together and a 2 person table is so small! It kept us from ordering more food, because there would be no place for it to go! Our server was nice. She originally forgot our drinks but admitted it and got them right away. We appreciated the honesty. Our water glasses were always full, we were given wet naps after our delicious wings and plates were taken promptly! Food: We each started with a drink. I got the banana bread old fashioned which may just be my favorite cocktail! My boyfriend got a beer and said it was "ok." We started with the truffle fries and smoked wings in the flavor rum chili. Holy moly! Both of those were spectacular!!! The ranch was just ok, I would probably get the blue cheese next time. Truly though, you don't need to dip these wings, the flavors are amazing on their own!! For our main course, we got the 14oz New York strip steak cooked to a perfect medium and the scallops! Both were out of this world! Very well done! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone! It is truly a gem in the cities!

Wood + Paddle is located inside of the Royal, it's their hotel restaurant. On my first night in Minneapolis, I'd arrived to the hotel for check-in around dinner time. Not sure where to go and tired from the flight, I headed down to the lobby and walked over. When I asked if I could get a table for 1, she asked me if I would be comfortable with eating at the bar. It was a Sunday night, so I think she wanted to reserve tables for parties of two or more. I was fine with it, but I noticed there were quite a few empty tables. A few days later, I had lunch with a colleague here. We got seated at a table, and the service was really good. Our waiter was attentive and made sure we kept our lunch within our time requirements so we could get back to the conference without issue. The food was really good. I tried to order or sample local or MN specialties during my trip. Below are the menu items that I tried: - Bison Burger with Fries - State Fair Cheese Curds (w/ house made, smoked ketchup) - Pork Chop (w/ a Norwegian inspired sauce) - Habanero Wings
