Had the avocado burger and the Buona beef sandwich. Both were pleasing but i enjoyed the avocado burger more. Fries were good but portions were smaller than you'd appreciate. Certainly would visit again once in a while, especially since it's one of the better local options. read more

terrible service. don't bother ordering online, you still have to wait in the drive through for your food. an employee came to the door to tell me that my order was ready but that I still needed to wait in the drive through. he could have simply brought the food out. 30 minutes later they give me my food and, of course, the shakes are melted. read more

Have been coming here since it opened. The service is great and usually get your food pretty fast. I usually get the beef bowl and fries. I am gluten free and have had an upset stomach a few times but not always. Not sure if they dip the beef for the beef bowls, with the bread, causing cross contamination. Potato salad was brought instead of the coleslaw we ordered. Server took away the potato salad to supposedly be thrown away. She said she could not leave the potato salad along with the coleslaw she would bring to correct the error. I spoke with the manager who confirmed it was their policy to throw food away that is served in error instead of just letting the customer keep it as well as the food ordered. I really wonder if the potato salad will be recycled. Also the beef on our sandwiches was skimpy. Lots of bread, not that much beef. Fries were not hot. My family of 6 loves to come here and it is super clean, great service, and great food. I always love to come in the door and smell the beef. It's the second day at this new location. I had the 7" Dipped Hot Italian Beef Combo. The sandwich was perfectedly dipped. I don't like mines drenched. I expected homemade fries that was the only setback. I had the Ghirardelli Chocolate Mint Shake. That was great! The staff was really nice. read more

We moved to the Beverly neighborhood about a month ago, and have tried many restaurants. Overall, the food scene here is pretty disappointing. Actually, it's totally disappointing. However, this Buona has it's act together--top knotch service, great food for a fair price, and my fave... Real, brewed ice tea. I was in a spiral of doubt and depression at moving into a home that needs so many repairs, an a-hole neighbor next to me, and so on... Buona has saved you, Beverly. Excellent beef sandwiches & their chip type fries are just the greatest. It's a shame beef is so expensive these days as nobody piles the beef on a sandwich like they used to but it's good there's 3 sizes in the beef so when you want to order something else you'll have room to eat it all for those of us like Senior Citizens that don't eat as much as we used to. Great dinner. The sandwiches were juicy. I really like the charred sweet peppers, they had a whole new dimension to an already tasty sandwich. First off, I should start by saying that I love Buona Beef, since before they opened in the neighborhood. Their beef sandwich is one of the best around, but they have other offerings (salads, sandwiches, pizzas) that will take care of pretty much everyone in your eating party. It's a great place to have in the neighborhood, and I was thrilled when I heard they were coming! What brings Buona extra kudos, in my opinion is their service. To start, they are always very friendly and professional to everyone and always very accommodating. What really brought home their exceptional service to me, however, was a birthday party that I was lucky enough to attend. My cousin has a husband who is disabled, and is completely wheelchair bound; her 12-year-old wanted to go to Buona for her birthday, so we all decided to go (we gave Buona notice beforehand that we were coming with a larger party of 10 people). They were beyond accommodating. They immediately made sure that we had a space to sit, made everyone feel welcome, and just made it a fantastic experience for all. The manager even made a point to bring out some complimentary cannoli to make sure the birthday girl felt extra special on her day. Thanks so much to the Buona in Beverly for everything! We have been back since, and will continue to be regulars at this great place! read more

I give up! I am a frequent drive-thru customer. Last night was the last time. Slow drive thru They have NEVER, yes NEVER, gotten my order right-not even once. Last night I waited 20 minutes for a sandwich and a kid's meal. They asked me 3 times what drink I wanted for the kid's meal and then came out..no drink...didnt bother driving back becaus ethe drive thru is so slow and i feel the cashier would probably not understand if i did! See I think the problem here is that they are all a very young staff. I have no problem with that but it just means you need a strong shift manager..this is obviously lacking. There just always seems to be this vibe of vague cluelessness coming through the speaker of the drive through like the person taking the order really has no idea about what you are asking and doesn't really know the menu (like a programmed, scripted feeling-they are told what to say but don't know what to do when they have to go off script) Anyway I am done-its not cheap, its not fast and they can't get it right. There is a new one on 95th St in Oak Lawn that seems to be better and faster...i would rather just drive there than deal with the frustration each and every time. read more

Great beefs - just remember to let them know how you want it - dry, dipped or super wet? Their pizzas are tasty and on Thursdays they cost $6.00 all day. They are individually sized and sort of thin crusted? I have only done the drive thru - quick and easy. Everyone that I have dealt with have been polite and cheerful and - gosh darn it - helpful as all get out! I love my beefs super duper wet - and when I request them "baptized" - I make sure to tell them - truly dipped in the Jordan - once, twice, and thrice - can't go wrong - they are guushy - perfect.
