Live a few minutes from this burger joint. Asian family owned. They provide an honest burger, fries, drink + pickle at a very fair price. If you are a value oriented foodie, come here! Parking is spacious because the lot is usually never full (Local Pizza and Liquor store in there as well). They know a lot of thai restaurant owners around the area, that was interesting to find out (President's Thai on Rosemead for example). I wouldn't deviate too much from the burgers. read more

I'm 37 years old and used to live around the corner on Fano. I would collect my allowance and walk myself down the block and park my 7 years old self at the counter like a grown up and order a corn dog and fries or their teriyaki short ribs and rice they used to have and it was the best childhood. Well fast forward I take my 13 year old son here earlier today for his first visit. We order to go because we're otw to his basketball game on a Saturday afternoon. We sit at the counter as I tell him how I used to eat here weekly as a kid. We ordered two burger combos and head out with our bag of food. We got a few steps out the door when I realized we forgot our drinks. I stepped back in and asked if we're can get our beverages. The lady said " I put them in the bag." I tell my Son as we walk to the car that they must give can sodas now. We get on the freeway and head to his game in Azusa. As we're pulling on the freeway my son says uhhh ohhhh. I look over at him and the bag is FULL OF SODA!!! . They put the cups of soda in a paper bag laying sideways inside the plastic bag of food. We didn't have time to drive back and me being hangry I started to cry. I know it's silly but I was so disappointed. My son gave me a laugh saying that he didn't know they served fry soup. I can't begin to count the number of delicious meals I have eaten at Burger Basket. Their cheeseburger special is one of the best deals running, $4.25 for a cheeseburger, fries, and coke! If you're feeling a little hungrier, it's a mere $5.05 for the a double cheeseburger! While they do offer other items, I highly recommend you go for a cheeseburger at least the first time you go there. I am a loyal and frequent customer of In-N-Out, but I really do believe that Burger Basket burgers even edge out the mighty In-N-Out, even if just barely. The service is great, it's a family run joint and the owners are very nice. Feel free to call your order in ahead of time and they will have it waiting for you (if you're impatient like me!) The layout of the place is pretty quaint. A couple tables with swivel chairs, and a few stools at the counter. The charbroil grill takes up most of the restaurant and there is no separation between the kitchen and dining area, besides the aforementioned counter. One of my favorite things are the old school red plastic bottles full of ketchup, just perfect for the thick delicious fries that come with every burger. You even get a bonus dill pickle spear with every meal! This place is great, but make sure you bring cash as they don't take credit cards! read more

I really like the taste of the burger patty it kind of is similar to Carl's junior. The fries were fresh made and really crunchy and moist. My lettuce was yellow green and was washed with a lot of water b and then there was a lot of thousand Island sauce that drenched the paper that the burger was wrapped in. If I didn't live less than five minutes away, more then 1/4 of my bun would be drenching wet... thanks for the pickle... however it should not be put with the crunchy fries and next to the burger that was already getting wet. I had a warm pickle slice lol. This place needs an upgrade and someone to bring some love and care to it. a very simple burgers, dogs, & sandwich joint. the kind that reminds you of disco balls, poodles, and good ol' fashion milkshake! burger servings even come in "tacky" red plastic containers. menu is limited about 6 combos which include meat, fries, and a drink. we opted for a burger & cheeseburger combo. so .. the bun is very nicely toasted. might be better than in n out! =O but they are smaller. the veggies are good ... fresh. however, the meat itself is probably frozen *gasp, say it ain't sooo ooo* .. does not have that same juicy flavor. but it is real meat.. not fast food mcd's meat. =) limited seating and limited parking! good for a quick, simple stop. .it won't fill you up but will tide you over till your next meal! read more

Okay, I don't get all the rave reviews for this place. I've heard from several people of how this is an awesome hole-in-the wall burger joint so we decided to try it one night for dinner. The hubs had the cheeseburger combo and I had the pastrami combo. He wasn't a big fan of the burger. Just meh. And my pastrami sandwich was way too soggy for my liking. We took our order to-go so maybe all those juices just saturated my bread but I couldn't eat half my sandwich. My family has been going here for years and despite they never greet us but also never have a big problem until now. I ordered cherry coke with combo, she gave me cherry Hi-C, so I ask her to change to coke instead, the female Philippino CUSSED in Tagalog IN FRONT OF ME!!!
