Nearest to where I was staying, this Burger King is located in McKinney, TX, right off highway 121 on Stacy Road. Am continuing to use the Walmart Plus benefit of 25% off of total order as much as possible, so volunteered not to use a paper coupon but instead use the value menu instead and then get total off of that. All the fast food apps push various deals through their apps, and are consistent in allowing only one choice in their offers section (i.e. you can't double dip). Since the 25% off was in their offers section, I knew I couldn't use any other deals, especially ones that have restrictions (e.g. one time use, only once per day). But for the 25% off, they also seemed to include other specials as well, including 'value meals' where you save by ordering things together. So I couldn't use it for the 2 for $5 whopper jrs...thinking its the same for other 'value' meals on the menu. What was especially irritating was the error message: it let me apply it with the discount and right price, but just greyed out the 'next button'..with the offer stating that it was not applied, followed by an unhandled javascript error displayed. Cmon...King Burger..be better. So placed the order without the 25%. It was ready when I got to the front, bagged for carryout. The people who work there are very hostile and rude! The assistant manager overcharged me and when I went to get it corrected, he ran and hid and had a female employee try to intimidate me. She was rude , called me a liar and refused to provide a number to report a complaint. read more

As someone else stated, they steal from you. Don't pay cash. My mother went today through the drive thru and paid $20 cash for chicken fries and a coke and she got $4 change. The guy working was an older angry man. She was too scared to even ask for her money due to the way he was looking at her. We will NEVER return. On top of that the food is not even that great there. Pulled up for a Whopper with cheese--got exactly that. No complaints. It did its job. But those cheese tots? Absolute betrayal in a cardboard box. They tasted like regret and smelled like last Tuesday. Crunchy sadness with a hint of "we stopped caring." I think they were reheated using employee resentment. Customer service? Everyone looked like they were one broken fryer away from walking out mid-shift. Vibes were dead. Tots were deader. Huge whopper fan....probably due to nostalgia. But this BK location is always a bit disappointing in prep and customer service. Recent visit was for a frozen Coke, it was amazing....and some mozzarella fries, not the best as cheese was not melted inside, cheese inside were just blocks of cheese. read more

The food was tolerable, didn't taste too bad and it didn't make me feel sick or anything. The ambience was nice, it was chill and relaxing in the restaurant. The service however, I was ordering a chicken sandwich, and when they made a mistake I politely asked for them to remake my order, they then wished eternal damnation upon me and wished bad luck on me and my whole bloodline. Was craving the flame broil taste I loved as a kid. I haven't had BURGER KING in ages. I ordered a whopper junior with cheese. It wasn't as good as I remembered. The cheese wasn't melted, the burger was on the colder side. The flame broiled taste was barely there. The pickles, onions were still good on it. The bun was soft. Fast food has really gone downhill. I can understand the poor reviews and low stars. Service-the person taking order wasn't listening. He seemed to be in his own world. Well I'm good on visiting for now. I usually never have any issues here but today, I saw my order being prepped while someone was using their cellphone, they didn't wash their hands afterwards. I'm not too familiar with Burger King but as a food industry worker myself, I think it's pretty universal to wash your hands before dealing with people's food. Phones are disgusting and shouldn't be on a burger prep station. I also placed my order ahead of time and the store was not busy at all. Two team members returned inside from their cars immediately when I walked to the door. This place usually has their stuff together but I guess it depends on when they feel like it. The burgers were all wrong as well. None of the modifications were right. I just needed to feed my family but I know now not to come back to this location. read more

Overall! Employees doing a good job following the corporate model and their crappy ingredients! The burgers are NOWHERE close to what they used to sell! The flavor is way off of the smokyness from the flame broilers from 40 years ago. They turned down the broilers and the flavor, so we get sub par burgers! I wrote the corpporate office about this, and was told "Things Change"! Obvoiusly NOT for the better! If I ren Burger King, I would have fired her butt right then! She's an idiot! WOW. Based on our less than favorable visits it's been a while, but we had that craving for flamed broil burgers and had to suck it up. Oh boy, what an improvement! It appears a new General Manager in the past 6 months and staff appears new too. Thank goodness BK is back, even if I do have stock in McDs. The gentleman at the window kindly replaced it with a regular whopper. I was very surprised at how well made and tasty it was. Why oh why do I keep trying this horrible mess for a Burger King? I was a General Manager for BK in Florida and I know how these things should run. This location is beyond help. Where do I start? The DOUBLE-CHEESEBURGER had ONE slice of UNMELTED COLD CHEESE and apparently the bread toaster was down because the buns were taken out of a package with no toasting. This makes for a nasty burger. Needless to say the burger patties were lukewarm at best. The Whopper and Junior Whopper i ordered also had similar problems, untoasted buns, cool meat patties. I didn't order cheese on these so that couldn't be screwed up, but still a poor experience. Does corporate or the District Manager or the General Manager care about this restaurant? All buns should be toasted, double-cheeseburgers should be placed in the microwave to melt the cheese(two slices), and meat patties held at the appropriate temperature for the set amount of time, otherwise they get dry and cold. I may need to drive further out if I get the BK craving, but after today's disaster, that won't be happening any time soon. read more

I have a pretty strict rule of limited junk food places and Burger King is not in that group. For many reasons i wanted to try the impossible Whopper they recently introduced. A few months ago I purchased some Impossible Meat at the store and was blown away by what a great meat imposter it is. I became interested in the story of its development and marketing so, trying it in the commercial market place was a logical step towards satisfying my curiosity. I would give the impossible Whopper 4 stars. Simply because it does what you would expect. That is replace the meat patty with a plant based alternative successfully. Cant tell the difference. Now its been years since I've visited a Burger King. Thats because they became dirty, mismanaged and outdated. So, noticing a new one recently opened close by, I chose it for my lunch of the Impossible Burger. Well, the culture of disengagement seems to be alive and well Even at the new location there were dirty tables ( before lunch rush) soft drink mix was off and they didn't call my number even though my order was up on the counter. Checking other locations on Yelp shows they have problems .I doubt if innovative new products will change anything as, I like it but hopefully will never enter another Burger King! read more

I wish I could give zero stars. We were here early because our son has a hockey game. I'm a vegetarian so I was excited to try the impossible sandwich. Their sign said they opened at 6am- we arrived at 7am. We first waited in the drive through for 10 minutes with no contact. So we drive around and went inside. They claimed they opened late (an HOUR late??) and had nothing ready. They had just started baking biscuits and heating the oil. The manager and employee argued for 15 minutes before we just left. Bathrooms filthy with no soap, cashiers and staff just hanging around, no one to welcome you or get your order unless you try to get their attention away from the conversation they are having, and most importantly the food tastes stale. Yeah the guy took my order, was an a******! He was obviously unhappy with his job! I waited about 5 minutes to get my burger! I ordered, waited, only to have driven away and realize that it was not hot! Why did it take so long to get my burger to me in my car when there was nobody else waiting in line ? Oh as good as always. We moved away from the one I visited all the time. McDonald's has become my kids fave, just bcuz it's right down the road. BUT now I have a burger King right across from my gym!!!! Ok I know I shouldn't have it after working out but it's right there! I grew up on Burger Kings food, especially their whopper. Even their kid meal burgers have the kiss of the flame taste! It took awhile to get my order right amd it took longer than I'm used to get my food. Food was delicious but the dining area was a total mess. There was an obvious water leak in the middle of the store with water everywhere. The trash cans were full of trash and one of the exit doors was locked. I think that's a fire safety issue. read more
