We can't stop coming here, 3 times so far over 6 days. He's had the beyond or house made veggie burger each time, great in a pretzel bun. I've had three different burgers (hot fried chicken special, patty melt, big dippa) all were good (patty melt was a little underwhelming, big dippa was best). We keep getting the sweet potato fries, and the chocolate shake is bomb. We've also gotten the garlic fries which were good, and the onion rings which are yummy but a little bready for my liking. Tbh we are probably going back again tonight. It just hits the spot after a big bike ride. read more

After trying a couple fries, I couldn't continue so I went to the cashier to ask the kitchen to remake them. The cashier was very neutral to the whole situation. The new fries were better. The bun was quite oversized for my piece ahi tuna. I liked the greens and cabbage in the burger. The special bison burger was pretty good. It was on the drier side because it is bison. Turns out they didn't have hand soap, and the guy who walked out before me was a staff member there taking orders at the counter. And the kicker was our two chicken caesar salads arrived without any dressing. Just lettuce, shaved Parmesan and chicken. When my daughter went into the restaurant to ask for dressing for our salads, she was charged $1 for them. Absolutely outrageous IMHO. We won't be back. read more

Stopped here last Sunday while on a ride. Looked good with many five star reviews. Wasn't busy, walked right up to the counter and ordered a NV Elk Burger with fry's and a beer. My buddy ordered the same but with onion rings. About $15 per burger and another $10+ for the beers and hit the button for the 15% tip. Just under $50 bucks. Grabbed a seat outside since it was a nice day and waited, and waited, and waited some more. Got up to grab two more beers. Finally! Our food showed up and the ticket had our order time of 11:18am, it was 10 minutes to noon now. Not impressed now. Hoped the elk burger changed my mind but it wasn't anything special. Had to take it down several stars after today's lunch. I was in a time crunch today or I'd have sent my burger back. I ordered an elk burger and asked for it to be cooked medium. What I got was a blackened, dry hockey puck that tasted like burned meat and was so hard on one side that it was actually brittle. It was so dry I had to douse it with condiments to get down the half I did eat. It had such potential too with the melted havarti, grilled onions, and crisp bacon... bummer. Let me start by saying this is a very popular restaurant in Truckee. Many people have had great experiences here however today I did not. We came by Burger Me on a Monday around 2pm after a very long day of skiing. We were super hungry and excited to get burgers. We ordered a Cheese Burger, a Train Wreck , fries, onion rings and two shakes to go. The restaurant had a few people in it but no one was inline or waiting for food when we ordered. Our shakes came out quickly. They were both good. Our order took a bit longer then we thought but no big deal as they cook the burgers to order. We got our food, said thank you and headed home. We were so hungry we literally started eating the fries and onion rings in the car. The onion rings were great. I thought the fries were just ok but my husband said he thought they were good. The burgers on the other hand were not. Mine was burnt badly (picture attached) to the point I could not eat it, literally. It should never have been served to anyone. My husbands burger was extremely greasy. So much so the bun was soaked and so was the bottom of our bag. Maybe the train wreck is not the best to order to go. His burger was well done but at least he could eat it. I called the restaurant to let them know about how overdone the burgers were and asked that they let the chef know so it did not happen to anyone else. They said they would refund my burger which was very nice of them. I am still extremely disappointed that anyone would serve a burger patty as burnt as mine was. We have been here before and although I would not have gushed over the burgers they were decent. But after today's experience, I can not recommend this establishment. They did comp my burger which was appreciated given the situation. Ambiance - It has a nice laid back kind of feel. Very comfortable. It can get packed on busy days and has limited in door seating. During warmer months there is outdoor seating. Noise - The noise level can vary. Today it was very low however when it is crowded it can get loud. Parking - Rough. Even on a Monday at 2pm parking was rough. No parking out front. All parking is metered so even if you are getting to go food you need to but some money in the meter. read more

Please change your info on yelp. It says dogs allowed. It's snowing and raining when we get here. We were on the road for 3 hours and we just need a place where we can eat lunch and go. We all got out of the car, including my 85 year old mom who has a hard time walking on a cane. I have my small dog with me as it says on yelp dogs allowed. We were told service dogs allowed only after a minute of being inside the restaurant. If I had known before we wouldn't come here. Please change your info on yelp.... We're all hungry and because it is raining and snowing we don't want to go to a different restaurant. The line moves pretty quickly, there is seating indoors and outdoors. I do feel like the seating indoors is a bit cramped and there aren't that many tables. Unfortunately we came after a huge family that took practically every table outside so we sat at a small table inside. It was loud but not totally awful. The order takers are quick and efficient and brought us our food pretty quickly! The food was delicious! My fries were great, they actually had flavor and salt unlike so many other establishments. I returned to the counter and received harsh eye rolls from the gal behind the counter as if I did something wrong. If you are looking for a good burger for a reasonable price (not easy to find in Truckee), try Burger Me. My favorites are the Dirty Bird (chicken burger) and BBQ Bison Burger. I also LOVE the garlic fries. The regular fries are yummy too. I also go with the basket of fries and share with my family. I'd highly suggest just ordering online and picking up if you do take out. Stopped here during my vacation last summer and it looked like a nice spot to eat. What stands out is not the great decor, the arcade machines, nice outdoor seating, but the menu choices. They have a good variety of meats and add-ons for your burger. There are also some great choices in sides and drinks as well. In the summer months it might be a bit slow since it seemed to be very busy in the area. If you sit outside and love trains then this is the best spot in Truckee to eat. As for my cheese burger with bacon, it was 9/10 in taste, a bit on the greasy side. The garlic fries and my wife's sweet potato fries were 10/10 though and I suggest trying their milkshakes as well. Let me just say that this place is absolutely HORRIBLE. I came here on Sunday with my family. We read the reviews on our long drive to this place and it looked promising....but I guess when you have expectations, you are often left with disappointments. I ordered a cheeseburger (wasn't asked what kind of cheese I wanted) and added bacon, mushrooms and avacado. My husband and sister ordered the same thing only my husbands burger had no mushrooms. We also ordered milk shakes. The person who took our order was beyond rude...she indicated that it was going to be a "while" to get our food since we all ordered milkshakes. Like were we not supposed to order milk shakes? We sit at the table and our milkshakes come out and they are legit flavorless...all I can taste is the milk in a strawberry milkshake...3 drinks and I am done. Our food came out and the order was wrong and for being made "fresh" it sure didn't feel fresh temperature wise. Had to send it back. The onion rings were alright but on the heavier greasy side. What's worse is when my sister took a bite of her burger and found a hair in her food...that is it, I have had enough and I am ready to leave. I am usually not that person who would ask for a refund but after spending $59.99 on 4 lunches that were horrible, I simply had to. They did void my ticket and we left. Sadly disappointed.
