The food is good, albeit the garlic fries were packed with too much oil - I'm talking dripping oil. The service is very slow, disorganized, and could gain from customer service training. Too many employees not knowing what to do, getting in each other's way, and having side conversations instead of focusing on serving customers. It took 20 min to get a hot dog and fries (they never sent order to the kitchen and had the wrong name on the order). The indoors was loud and not a place you want to spend time. We had 8 people this time, I felt Burger Me is disorganized this time. We have 2 kids burger, adding different things, we have to open the burger to check which one is which one. All the other 6 adults orders were one Greek, one Melty, one chicken and 3 burgers (has different add-on), we had to identify which burger is our own expect Melty. I had a burger, it should be "medium", but my burger turned out fully cook, and little bit dry. The burger bun is not that fresh like before. I've been here at least a dozen times and the food is consistently good. I enjoy the elk burger as well as the bison burger. I'm not big on sides but I have tried the fries and they were crispy and tasted fresh. I typically call in orders for pick up when I am on the way home and it is always hot and ready within the time quoted and they have never made a mistake. If you plan on dining in, there are many tables inside as well as a large front deck with tables out front. Parking is available and free but if there are no spots remaining out front, there is additional metered parking across the street. read more

We were all starving after our spartan race in Tahoe and we were excited to try out this joint on the way home. The place was easy enough to fine , they have a small parking lot out front and some parking across the street as well . Looking overt he menu , I decided on the bison burger and garlic fries and the bf got a regular cow cheeseburger. We asked for the order TO GO... Big mistake here ...My bison burger was ok . A bit dry but I liked the fact it was leaner. The thing tasted like a traditional burger , nothing amazing . I tried a bite of the cheese burger and did not like it at all . It tasted really greasy and I could taste And feel the fat chucks in the burger meat . Now let me move on to the Fries....omg.... They were SOAKed in garlic oil !!!! In a bad way !!! It seriously soaked oil thru the bag and onto a paper map I had in my Lap and stained my shirt with oil !! It was a complete mess ! The bag was DRIPPING oil !! Totally gross . Love the menu board being a chalk board. Kids menu had its own chalk board. Food Appetizer - none today. Main Course - Yes I went to a burger joint and did not order a burger. I went with the Ahi Tuna Burger, sushi grade tuna seared with wasabi spread and Sriracha sauces. It was so good. Sorry my picture does not do it justice. Love the onion rings, and these were large ones, large enough to be a bracelet for my daughter. These were thick beautifully crusted rings that you could see several layers of onion inside of it. I stole some of the sweet potatoes fries, cut shoe string style. I could eat those all night with a good beer. Dessert - Stuffed and skipped it for the night. Service - The cashier was friendly and helpful. They take your name after you place the order. When it is ready they call out your name and find you after signally them down. read more

Thanks to Yelp, my snow wonder escapade didn't end with snowboarding for hours and hungrily awaiting food on the way home. To top it off Guy visited this place for the travel channel, so it was a MUST to stop by. The parking lot is relatively small, and you're lucky to get a parking spot out front because parking across the street is a -------. Just a few feet away is a round about and I had the impression that people just don't like to stop for anyone. Their selection in burgers is awesome. There's so many to choose from that I was kinda thinking about taking some to go for our two hour drive home. But half of me told myself to hold back because the burgers probably wouldn't be as good as having it fresh from the kitchen (So my next trip, I PROMISE TO GO). I had the Gyro Burger on white and I LOVED IT. Their fries is just as good. And the next time I'm heading there, I'm deff. gonna try out their AHI Burger. read more

Really good burger place to come to if you are in Truckee. They have some great choices of meat you will definitely not see else where. I had the south west turkey burger with gluten free bun and my husband had the BBQ bison burger with garlic fries. The service was prompt, our cashier efficiently took our order and cups for drinks. We did have to wait to find a table inside because we came in during Sunday lunch hour. Next time I most likely will just order a lettuce wrapped burger because the gluten free bun wasn't all that great. If you think Guy Fieri is someone that knows the difference between quality, well made, locals-love-it food and extra greasy TGIF style chain restaurant garbage than you are reading the wrong review. I had the gyro burger which was dry flavorless lamb with pretty bad feta. The fries tasted good, wow, tasty fries....congrats. My girlfriend got the seared Ahi tuna burger. Terrible. Their motto is "real fresh". I have worked in restaurants in a beach tourist town and can spot the difference between "previously frozen thawed ahi tuna" and "real fresh tuna". One of those two should be eaten completely raw and or barely seared. The other should be at least medium rare. To sear tuna you place it on a VERY hot stove for a short period of time. Not a warm stove for ten seconds. That is what the tuna looked like. It tasted like thawed uncooked tuna, it looked like thawed uncooked tuna, I'm guessing that is what it was. We had a couple bites of it and passed. The flavor of the whole sandwich was a bit off. I am not a person that is scared of raw tuna, and just "ordered the wrong thing". Sushi is my favorite food. Seared ahi is one of my favorite go to dishes. A seared Ahi tuna burger can be divine if done right with good quality tuna. Mistake to order it in a mountain town. I gave the place the second star because the fries tasted good and the orders came out relatively fast...that is it. Oh yeah and the old school video games didn't work. The "ambience" was not a charming burger dive...but more like a lousy burger chain restaurant cement box. Skip it! There are lots of other good spots in Truckee. read more

Only when I actually checked in there did I find that this was a triple D joint well! Yes, let's address all the issues up front. The parking situation is interesting, but you can park across the street if needed be in the dirt. There aren't many tables inside and lots of families come here for obvious reasons since it's cheap and very casual. The staff is friendly, their shirts are funny and it's easy to order. I recommend some of the wilder choices like Bison, Lamb, Veal etc. I know I'm going to check out the lamb burger next time because it sounds amazing! They also have some killer big onion rings and good baskets of sweet potato fries. The order comes out extremely quick where you're almost like... is my food cooked?! But lo and behold. The juiciest, most delicious, most flavorful piece of burger meat you have ever tasted is now in your hands. Treat it with care and don't slather on multiple condiments. read more

A popular burger place in Truckee. From the outside it is fairly unassuming with some parking and a couple tables but inside it was surprisingly busy but still with some tables free. We had the Patty Melt and BBQ Bison Burger. The patty melt is an odd creation, basically a sandwich with fancy bread but with a circular meat patty... which means you have corner pieces of bread with no filling... it was still nice although no lettuce/veggies. The BBQ bison burger was solid but not all that exciting although every bite was quite nice with all the ingredients working well together. The fries were good quality too, nice and chunky with good crunch. There were also 2 old school arcade machines: Mrs. Pac-Man and Centipede.
