Stopped by for lunch today. Ordered a regular hamburger and a Bison burger. Both were undercooked (VERY pink on the inside). Not a good idea for any place serving ground meats. Stopped by this burger joint after seeing some positive reviews. Food did not disappoint! I loved the assortment of burger items and meats- we were close to trying the bison burger but ended up just getting a patty melt, cowboy burger, and fish sando. All were pretty good for the price (~$15 each) and well portioned. Staff were also friendly and accommodating with allergies! The interior feels semi modern but still has an old diner feel with the red booth seats and arcade games. There is also fairly convenient street parking since it seems near the downtown. Burger Me is a solid spot in Downtown Truckee in a very walkable area where you can get a reliably good burger. It's an order at the counter place and seating is limited (especially when it's winter and the patio is not in use), so be prepared to stand in a long line if you don't get here early. We must have timed it right because when we arrived it wasn't crowded at all, but towards the end of our meal we had people lurking over us to snag our table and it was getting pretty loud inside. I was shocked to learn that they not only carried the standard vegan option of a Beyond Burger, but that they also had a house-made veggie burger that was also vegan. Yes! I had to have it, of course, and there were several bun options. You can't go wrong with a pretzel bun in my opinion, so I went with that. The burger was actually pretty good and I would definitely stop in for it again. The garlic fries sans parmesan were decent and paired well with the stout they had on tap, which was also good. We love this place and always go everytime we're in the area( we live 3 hrs away). Everyone here is always so welcoming and friendly! Now for a little constructive criticism ...I always order the fish Sando fried because it's my fav! but the last two times I got it, instead of the purple cabbage slaw, it's got regular bagged white cabbage slaw with carrots and I just wanna say PLEASE go back to the purple cabbage guys! it was so much more flavorful! Also the roll wasn't the regular brioche bun it was like a hot dog bun. All in all it was very fresh tasting and good I just miss the purple cabbage. read more

We were at the Coachland RV Resort and we decided to try some local Truckee fare. The establishment is very quaint and a very simple menu. My wife and I both got burgers (imagine that). We ordered a large onion ring order and two milkshakes. My wife liked the flavor of her burger, but it was dry. Mine on the other hand was perfect. The onion rings were big and had a great batter on them. The milkshakes were just like you'd make them at home. Simple ingredients and they were bomb. We will definitely be back next year. read more

I feel like transparency is very important to have when trying to make unbiased reviews. I worked here for 7 years but left a couple years ago. I ate Burger Me every day at least once a day. I loved it. The menu was so varied it never got boring. We just got Burger Me for dinner. I had an overly complicated order. My order was executed to perfection. I got a blacked chicken burger my partner got a Cowboy burger. I have found it to be rare that a restaurant cooks your burger to the desired temperature but, this burger is cooked perfectly medium rare. Employees were very kind and professional. It's a slay ya'll. Reasonably priced excellent quality great attention to detail. 10/10 will continue to let them Burger Me at least once a week. read more

First visit I enjoyed a vegan burger to which I kept asking the staff, "Are you sure this is not beef?" Lol it was awesome! My husband and I visited today 8/7/22, and had the Train Wreck, Cowboy and half/half (French fries/onion rings). Dylan took our order and he was super personable and helpful as we couldn't decide what to order...everything sounded amazing! Shortly thereafter, Dylan brought us our food, cooked to order and the burger chef cut our burgers in half (they are quite big, folks) per our request which was so nice. Jacob had on thee coolest watermelon shirt and shared his favorite Burger Me milkshake blends with us. Juicy but not greasy. perfectly stacked and stayed together. Patty was perfectly sized 1:1 to the bun. Ratios were great. Lots of flavor. Onion rings were okay, thin onions and fried too crispy for me. Parking can be tough, its a narrow street so theres really no place to pause and wait for a spot to open. A solid spot on the main strip in Truckee for a kid friendly, casual meal. It's counter service and staff are all really nice. The place is small, but can pack it in. They have some namesake burger/sandwiches or you can customize your own. They have everything from fish, chicken, veggie to bison, elk and good old fashioned beef. We went with the elk burger, kids burger meal and the fish sandwich. All of it was quite good. I'd say the protein on the fish sandwich was a bit slight and was more bready, just one small filet, but I get it. But regardless of size, it was tasty, with that crunch purple cabbage slaw. The kids burger is small, think slider. So best for a younger child vs hungry older one. It was perfect for my 5 year old who very rarely finishes anything and ate this one up. They did say they'd text me when it was ready. I didn't get a text until about a week later! :) HA. Not a big deal, more of an FYI that I wouldn't rely on the text to be accurate. She was happy to accommodate my order even thought it was so close to closing time (Friday 8:50pm). I ordered the NV Elk burger with no substitutes with a side of onion rings and fries. The Elk burger was the best burger I have had in while... and I have been on a burger kick lately (smash burgers are usually my go to). The burger patty had really excellent flavor and one seasoned to perfection. The burger patty was cooked perfectly also. This place has a cool interior and was still popping just before closing. We'd driven by Burger Me plenty of times on our way from home to the meat of the downtown area, but didn't think to try it (frankly, it seemed kinda like a greasy fast-food-y chain restaurant, at least from the outside). But one day we were feeling lazy and wanted burgers, and put in a pickup order. The burgers (and fries) were great! Large, juicy, and delicious. Only gripe is that the location isn't really my vibe, so I probably would only do takeout. My friend and I ordered the Cowboy Burger and my partner had the NV Elk Burger. We all shared the onion rings, garlic fries, and sweet potato fries. Burgers were fire. I personally prefer the cowboy burger. Sides were also super good. I'm very serious when it comes to onion rings and was so happy to see they were super crispy and not too breaded. Out of the fries I preferred the garlic fries over sweet potato which I wouldn't normally say. Make sure to eat the fries while they're still hot.
