Went during the St. Patrick's day celebration, so the vibe was fun. Paid $20 entry and got a shirt and one free coors. While the cover was reasonable, we ended up paying $15 for one angry orchard cider and one soda. At first I thought- maybe it was just normal for this establishment. tl;dr: Lots of TVs for the game, but major issues with drinks, service, dogs inside, and overall cleanliness. Unfortunately, there were so many issues with our visit. We came in for a Sunday football game--the only real positive was that they had plenty of TVs with sound on. We ordered drinks, and overlooked the fact that kids under 10 were seating guests, serving food, and even cleaning tables. My husband's first cocktail was terrible. When we mentioned it, the owner said it was because he ordered off an old menu and they didn't know the recipe. He was kind enough to remake it (and ultimately took them off our tab) but unfortunately, the new one was just as bad. The biggest issue: three non-service dogs inside the small space. One barked consistently and two others were sitting on their owners' laps at a high-top table. We didn't want to be the "dog haters," but it felt unsanitary and uncomfortable. We had appetizers. They were okay, but we received tartar sauce instead of blue cheese and a few items were forgotten. To wrap up, when the owner's wife came by with the check, she asked for feedback. We shared our concerns respectfully, and her response to the dogs was, "what are you allergic or something?" When we explained it was about discomfort and hygiene, she said, "don't worry, our kitchen is great." But given everything else... kids bussing tables, the careless vibe, and multiple issues, it was hard to take her word for it. read more

The staff were super friendly & attentive. There were several men who obviously got over served. One super trashed guy had his reactive dog sitting right by the entrance. The dog reacted against every other dog who walked by. The dog owners got into a hostile confrontation over the exchange. The food, however was surprisingly amazing. This place is great! We came in on a Saturday evening hoping for a place to watch the Notre Dame football game and this was definitely the place! They had 6-7 TVs and were showing lots of different games at the same time, and when we requested the ND game they put it on the big screen for us. The Guiness was correctly poured, the Smithwicks red was just about as good as it was in actual Ireland, and the food was great. I got the southwest burger (sub chicken breast) with sweet potato fries, and my husband got the philly cheesesteak type sandwich with waffle fries. Both were great! While the prices were a bit high ($9 for a Guinness), it is downtown Breck during ski season, so it is understandable- we knew what we were in for. The bathrooms were clean, the staff was attentive, and overall we had a great gamewatch experience. We walked from our Airbnb, so I can't touch on the parking situation, but it is in a very walkable location if you are staying anywhere near downtown! read more

Said my ID was fake because there wasn't a shadow under my ear in my photo? Wasted prob 15-20 mins of my night sitting there without a drink. Visiting Breck for a few days and while walking around we saw this place. My wife loves to try fish and chips at different places, so we decided to give this a try. She really enjoyed the fish and chips! I had the shepards pie which I thought was really good. For an appetizer we tried the corned beef eggrolls, and really liked them. Really wish we had read the reviews before we went. We normally love an Irish Pub and find you can generally get decent bar food. THIS IS NOT THAT PLACE. Do not eat the food. We got wings and the Bavarian pretzel. The wings were not made to order so they were soggy and swimming in sauce. The pretzel was cafeteria quality and the beer cheese and mustard had been sitting under a food lamp and both had a film on them. That said they have a great outdoor patio with views and our server was very attentive and friendly. Maybe go for a drink with a good view, but seriously do not eat the food. read more

So glad I gave this place a second chance! It has probably been like 5 years since I was last here. The food and drinks were great! I started out with their old fashioned and it was great! We split a cup of French onion soup and enjoyed it. For dinner I had the McSmitty's burger-caramelized onions with Swiss cheese on toasted rye bread. The chips were addicting! My friend had the fish sandwich, it is her favorite! Another friend had the beef stew in a yummy bread bowl. My husband had the French dip, it was delicious! The food is horrible. Its just awful. I wouldnt touch it! They have nice outdoor seating with a beautiful view and perfect for sunset watching over the mountain. Its a great location but the bar is wild, full of out of control drunks, but its a bar so expected. The staff is nice. They are friendly and good at making drinks but in my experience people were definately over served and things get out of control there. Its just one big party at night. I had dinner here with my wife, and based on some pretty negative reviews here, I thought I should share our experience. We came on a Tuesday night and the place was about half full inside. The outside deck was empty. It was fairly loud inside and the bar was busy. There was medium-loud 90's rock/ grunge playing on the sound system. We seated ourselves and were greeted within a few minutes. I ordered a beer and my wife ordered a cocktail, which she said was good. For dinner I ordered the fish and chips. It was pretty good - not as good as in the uk/Ireland but better than a lot of restaurants in the USA. My wife had shepherds pie and it was not traditional shepherds pie. I would describe it as beef stew topped with mashed potatoes. My wife said it tasted good, even though it was a variation in the traditional preparation, which is fine as far as I'm concerned. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. In summary, I would call this place more of a "pub" than a restaurant, but it's good for a casual dinner and definitely good for drinks with friends. read more

We called in advance asking about a game, we show up watch the game order drinks and food. All was well until some of us went to close out, we tipped about 20%. The bartender and manager Liz then decided to complain about our tips to customers at the bar. Then when the others went to close out she put all the food we all ordered onto his tab, after majority of us had paid for it, he caught the mistake and ended up paying for what he was given and she continued to berate him over our lack of tipping. This restaurant is extremely nicely located right downtown in Breckenridge, however when you account for the abomination of service you end up with a terrible experience. We waited for 45 minutes outside on what we thought was a wait list, Come to find out there was no waitlist and parties were sat before us. The staff was uncommunicative and not hospitable at best. I've been coming here for years every time I've visited Breckenridge and I noticed last year they changed their food. It used to be really good bar food- especially the chicken fingers! So, we had just had a late brunch with a long time friend and were were not really done catching up...so I remembered I had seen the Irish Pub above us in the same shopping center and suggested we have an adult beverage :) We sat down outside, even though there was a small threat of rain...we got pretty prompt service from Bella who was tending bar and serving tables. I've been to this bar a few times as I've visited Breckenridge. It's been hit or miss with their customer service. The bartender staff gave me the wrong beer and I called them out on it and then they lied saying it was the correct one but I saw them pour it and it was not what I ordered. My family and I had to stay in Breckenridge due to a blizzard from Winter Park to Denver. I had the corned beef and cabbage. My husband had the shepherd's pie. My daughter had the Irish stew. It was perfect on a cold winter's night. Portions were perfect for a hungry family of 3. The best dish though was that Irish stew. Deliciously perfect potatoes withe equally perfect beef in a rich gravy. My daughter ate part of the bread bowl as well as everything inside. Would totally recommend! read more

Go for the drinks not the food. We are up in Breckinridge for the week and decided to check this place out. The bar itself is fantastic. The outside area looked okay and the interior has a simple plywood frat house decor. The wait staff were super friendly and were very attentive. And they have an impressive array of whiskey. We ordered the pretzel appetizer. they were microwaved Sysco pretzels, soggy on the bottom from being microwaved. The mustard dipping sauce was sweet and the cheese sauce was straight out of a nacho cheese can. My wife and I ordered the Shepherd's Pie. I have been to Irish pubs across the states and the length of Dublin. So I like to use that as a bellwether for an Irish Pub. What I was served was a crime against humanity. It was a mess of mashed potatoes with mixed in frozen vegetables on top of tough and fatty bits of the lowest grade stew meat you can find. Well, actually, my wife didn't find any in her's. The supposed Guinness brown gravy was a tepid congealed mass with three onion rings thrown on top. No Cheese at all. It was inedible. My friends got the Corned Beef and Cabbage. How can you screw that up? It seriously looked like deli meat they had heated up. For some reason, the cook decided to mix the cabbage in with the frozen peas/carrots mashed potatoes.
