Beto really knows what he's doing... and because of him it was a perfectly satisfying amount of food for the three of us. He definitely went above and beyond. We're looking forward to heading there on one of the next weekdays our teenager has off to try their sandwiches.

Didn't even come around to see if we needed anything or if everything was good or not. We came here around 1:30pm on 3/16. The restroom was also out of paper towels and soap from the soda dispenser. Poor quality food! Glad I tried it, so I know to not come back again!

UPDATE We initially left a five-star review because our experience started well. However, the service and managerial behavior that followed were unacceptable. 1. Kalguksu Delay: The Kalguksu, part of the set menu, was supposed to be served at the end of our meal. After the crew finished cooking, no server checked on our table for over 25-30 minutes. When we finally brought it to their attention, it was served undercooked and inedible. 2. Poor Service: The outdoor seating area was not busy, with only five tables and multiple servers. Despite this, our table was neglected while others who arrived later received prompt service. 3. Manager's False and Insulting Comments: The manager falsely claimed that we were "moving quickly with strollers" to avoid being caught for not tipping. This is entirely untrue and offensive. We walked home slowly, as we live just two minutes away, and did not rush or attempt to "escape." Making such baseless accusations is not only unprofessional but also highly insulting. 4. Manager's Lack of Accountability: Instead of addressing the issue, the manager stood outside observing and did nothing to assist. As a leader, it is their responsibility to intervene and resolve complaints, not ignore them. 5. Promotional Drinks Misrepresentation: The "complimentary" soju was part of a Yelp promotion, not an apology for poor service. Offering to remove the charge for a Diet Coke instead of directly addressing the issue felt dismissive and insincere. 6. Team Neglect: A server mentioned they weren't assigned to our section, but it is the team's responsibility to ensure all customers are cared for. The lack of communication and accountability led to a disappointing experience. 7. No Tip Justification: Tipping is a reflection of the service provided. Given the neglect, delays, and unprofessional behavior, a tip was not warranted. Suggesting we tried to "avoid being caught" for not tipping further illustrates a lack of understanding of what tipping represents. This was supposed to be a special end-of-year dinner but turned into a deeply disappointing experience. Adding insult to injury, the manager's false and rude comments about our behavior on our original review are unprofessional and unacceptable. I would give a zero star if I can! Our experience at Burnin Shell was disappointing overall. While the food itself was enjoyable, the shellfish portions were extremely small. The prefix menu includes side dishes that may help fill you up, but it felt like more of a filler than the main focus of the meal. The real issue, however, was the lack of proper customer service and the unprofessional behavior of the manager. When we voiced our concerns to the server, no action was taken to address our complaints. Instead, the manager left false information in her comments on my friend's recent truthful yelp review, twisting the narrative and making us feel humiliated. Her response made us look like horrible people for not tipping. When in reality, we received no service worth tipping for. This kind of behavior from management is unacceptable and left a sour taste after an already underwhelming experience. The Spicy Cold Noodles at Burnin' Shell are the best I've ever had. The noodles are served cold, which is a little unusual, but that makes them refreshing on a hot day. Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at a local korean seafood restaurant that specializes in seafood boils korean style. From start to finish, the experience was fantastic. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I was immediately struck by the lively atmosphere. The decor was modern and colorful, where the chefs were busy preparing fresh seafood. For my main course, I opted for the option c seafood boil, which consisted of a generous portion of shrimp, clams, and mussels, and eels much more. He stayed with us throughout the meal, cooking and serving us the different seafood. Not sure if that's the norm but rather if it was because it was our first time. The food itself was marinated and cooked perfectly - extremely fresh and delicious. They even offer to cook the food on gas (indoors) or charcoal (outdoors). We chose outdoors, highly recommend the latter. The variety of seafood they offer is very reasonable for the price and their prefix menus include a bunch of equally great sides. I had an outstanding experience at this clam grill restaurant. The staff provided exceptional service, anticipating our needs throughout the evening. Whenever our lemons ran low, they were promptly replenished without us even having to ask, and the clams were continuously grilled and served so the flow of the meal was never interrupted. We ordered combo d which came with live octopus. First time trying live octopus was moving around so much. We also tried the sea eel which was so good! We were here for a crazy amount of time, about 5 hours and drinking hangover worthy amounts of soju. Apparently this is the spot to be for Korean locals and explains the authentic feel. They seem to get terrific support by fellow Koreans and it makes a lot of sense with the good food and service. I had a great time meeting many locals, stuffing my face with high quality meats, and drinking a lot... I highly recommend this spot for the Ktown experience. Some tips: get reservations or come early because it can get packed... also for parking, look into what I learned about... local "Korean uber."

They will come by to cook and change the grill when they remember. The server we had was surprised when we didn't find the cold noodles spicy. Total came out to over $80 for 2 people, so def come here if you're looking for quality meat + drinks and not the pressure of AYCE value.

Inside is clean and spacious. They gave us banchan almost as soon as we sat down, the potato being my favorite along with the marinated onions. I also love their red sauce to dip the meat in and they asked if we wanted steamed rice which was nice. The Korean style pork ribs came out first and they were seasoned perfectly and not drenched in thick messy sauce nor too heavy so it was a strong start to the meal. They then started cooking the beef belly, pork belly, and pork jowl and it was really nice not having to worry about getting the right cook on it since they took care of it. The gamjatang was very substantial with a hefty pork bone with plenty of meat on it and a giant potato chunk. For those sensitive to spice, it wasn't overly spicy at all either and was a great savory addition to the meal. The red shrimp zucchini pancake was nice and crispy on the outside and had incredible shrimp flavor that we could smell before taking a bite. The sauce it came with paired nicely as well. For $35, the dine LA menu was incredibly worth it, from great food to amazing service, and we even had leftovers. I recommended to multiple friends already.
