You really feel like your transported back in South Korea here. Slightly chaotic, low seating with stools with storage and a really lively atmosphere with a full house. Parking is tough and they do have valet but it can get full. Be sure to make a reservation! Came in a party of 4 and with a reservation was seated right away. The table is very small and they give you a lot of banchan but what we noticed at the end of the meal was that our table was missing some which was a bummer - the green onion salad (a typical fav of ours) and radish sheets. Didn't know to ask until we saw other people getting served it at the end of our meal. Ordered the DSR combo - They cook the meat for you and are attentive so all of our meat was cooked just right and not overdone. The chicken feet was surprisingly very smoky. They are deboned and a very cartiligue taste. Can't say I would crave it again as I think I prefer the dim sum preparation better but it was unique to try! We also tried the Pork Skin which was really good and another first for us to see it on a menu. It had a gelatinous texture but still had a crunch like cartilage. Not something you could eat a ton in one sitting so share with a group.

Popped into this place randomly on Sunday evening after my buddies 40th birthday. Very dark and moody and lively inside. The service was pretty great. We've never been there before we weren't sure what to order, and the servers helped us with everything once we made a decision. We ordered a combo for three people, and I think we had pork belly and several beef options, the soup that we had was fantastic, it was just the perfect amount of food . We weren't drinking so I think we might've missed out on some shots going down between the staff and the tables at the end of the night, but it was fun to watch everybody . Rarely in the side of town, this was a random decision to go here and I'm so glad we did .

Omg we were in LA for a concert and went to a Korean spa beforehand. Saw this place had great reviews and decided to try it. Got the combo for 2 with the short ribs. Also added the steamed egg. My sissy had never had KBBQ before and she loved it! She especially loved that they cook for you! Lol I was prepared to do it myself but the servers constantly came around and flipped etc We got there at 6 and in 30 mins the place was packed!!!!

The have valet parking if you're unable to find street parking, which is hard since there's so much food at this intersection. At 5:30pm on a Sunday we were able to walk in and get seated immediately. Servers were quick to get our orders and get the food sequence started. We got the DSR combo and the meats were a fair size for a group of 3. Paired with the salads and banchan, the meal was very satisfying without making your stomach burst. If the place is slow, servers come by your table to help cook the meat. But when the place gets busy, the service will understandably become more sparse as they have more tables than servers. They also seemed to have only 20 tables that comfortably sit 4-5 at a time, so it's best for small groups. It's also best to come early or be prepared to wait for a table.

This restaurant really is giving that hole in the wall spot in Seoul. We got the DSR combo which is a set of beef and pork, it says for 2-3 people, but can actually feed 4! There's only 3 of us, and by the time the server pulled out the fourth plate of meat, me and my friends looked at each other like "help" lol. This will be one of our kbbq spots now for sure!

This place gets really busy, so come early. I went around 5:30 on a Saturday so I didn't have to wait, but it starts getting packed at around 6:30-7 ish. We weren't too hungry so we just got the pig skin, sausage and veg stir fry, and cold noodles. The meat was ok, but the sauce they give with is bomb! The sausage and veg stir fry was horrible. Don't order that. The cold noodle was delish! Overall this place is popping, the food is on the decent side, service is great. I would come back again, for sure.

DAE SUNG RO is fantastic. The service is outstanding. Our server is attentive, friendly, and makes the Korean bbq experience feel amazing. The meat quality is excellent, especially their signature Pork Skin, which is an absolute must-order. The sauces are incredibly good and really elevate everything. I also loved the Galbi--so flavorful and perfectly cooked. Great spot for drinking with friends, amazing vibes, and top-tier service. I'd definitely come back more often.

Me and my friends came to Dae Sung Ro KBBQ and it was such a lovely experience! We ordered the beef combo & I got sososo full. Everything was so yummy + the price point isn't bad. The only con is that this is in an area where parking is so hard to find. We drove around for at least twenty minutes before we found a parking spot -- I wish they had a parking lot. Overall, this place was pretty good but isn't my fav KBBQ spot in LA. I feel like there's better spots out here but it wasn't bad for what it was.

Saw this place on the way to go to another kbbq spot and wanted to give it a try. They have valet parking for $4 and street parking if you're lucky. Got inside and the place has a nice vibe to it. Got a table right away since it wasn't that packed. We ordered the DSR combo and all the meats were amazing! The only downside was that they don't have brisket sauce or rice paper. But the sauces were still good though!

We luckily arrived on a Friday @ 6:30P because 30 minutes later, this place was packed! Great energy, clean atmosphere, hospitable service, and really good bbq! The Beef Brisket Soybean soup is fantastic, full of richness, zucchini, onion, and bits of beef and firm tofu, I enjoyed each bite despite it being hotter to hades. We started with brisket, which is served with bean sprouts. The group decided it wasn't the best, but made up for it with a second round 86ing the vegetal filler. The sauces give a fun south-American twist, the chimchurri goes great with the short rib. The banchan of pickled veggies were sweet, tart, and crisp. Definitely a must for kbbq!

Solid new spot in ktown. Walked in on a Friday night looking for kbbq without a long line. Was seated promptly. We ordered the beef combo set for 2 and it was the perfect amount of food. The banchan was so good. Came with so many dipping sauces as well. There was a pesto like sauce that blew my mind along with whole chunks of garlic and jalapeños. I can never have too much garlic. The pork belly was my favorite. It was so fatty and crispy. At the end they give you the bone as well which iv never seen in ktown. I do wish the banchan came with fish cake or potato salad but either way still great. The server wasn't the best at cooking our food and seemed to forget a lot so we did it ourselves half the time. Fine by me though since I like my meat on the crispier side and usually the waiters take it off too early for me. Food: 4.7/5 Service: 3/5 Ambience: 4.5/5

I was introduced to this location by my coworkers. I brought my boyfriend and his brother here. The steamed egg is sooo good we ordered 2 of them both times I came. The tables are small but nothing to complain about. The ambience is fun. They normally have sports on the tv's. This place gets crowded. We ordered the tasting and it was a lot of food. We really liked the cheese corn and the wagyu cut. This places I worth the price point. Parking is good if you get valet. The staff is friendly

I genuinely think that this is one of the best Korean barbecue spots to visit, I love that. They have Mexican fusion Korean barbecue, if you ask for tortillas they offer it and their side sauces are like chimichurri and unique. The meat quality was also really good and they were really attentive a little bit too sweet for my liking but everything else was so delicious! There is a lot of seating and is open late night so good for big groups, there is parking across the street and even though it says valet they let us park for free.

Every Filipino swears their food is better at home and I'm sure it may be, but we need to appreciate places like this that put our cuisine out there and make it this good! I never thought to eat bibinka with savory foods because it's normally a dessert to me, but it is definitely the icing! All the meats were definitely tasty, but the star that made these proteins pop was the vinegar! My youngest said that's just me being Filipino because he said it didn't need the vinegar, but trust me... make sure to use that vinegar. I can probably drink the vinegar because it's that good! Such a nice option when you want something a little different without going across town. We ordered the coconut beef adobo, pork ribs, and the cornbread bibingka. The coconut beef adobo was definitely the standout for me. It kind of reminded me of Bicol express with a slight tanginess. Super flavorful and really good with steamed rice. The pork ribs were not your typical saucy, sweet, fall off the bone type. These were more dry style with a bark that can be a little tough, but the meat itself was still juicy underneath. The cornbread bibingka was also really good. It felt like the perfect mix of classic cornbread and bibingka, slightly sweet and soft, and the sugar on top was a nice touch. Portions were solid too. My husband and I had enough leftovers for the next day. Overall, really glad we finally got to try it, and we would definitely love to try more of their dishes someday.

Back in the day, you had to get there early because the place STAYED PACKED, and their ribs were THEE reason to go. They were hands down some of the best ribs I ever had as a kid. They put me on. Fast forward 15-20 years later, and today was my first time coming back since my teenage years. I tried calling ahead to place an order, but couldn't get through. Honestly, that didn't surprise me because Woody's was always busy. I figured it was still the same old Woody's. Then I pulled into the parking lot around 6 PM on a Thursday. Immediately, there was parking available. That alone felt odd. No line. Plenty of parking. Not a single customer inside. That should have been my first sign. We ordered beef ribs, sliced brisket, mac and cheese, and dessert. They were out of the banana pudding, so we settled for peach cobbler. The total was around $50, which isn't bad for dinner for two. The excitement really started to hit when we got home and opened everything up. Unfortunately, that's when reality set in. The mac and cheese was terrible. Completely flavorless, watery, and mushy. The pasta was so overcooked it practically fell apart and blended together like baby food. It tasted old and had absolutely no seasoning or richness whatsoever. First and last time ordering that. Next was the brisket. The slices were gray, dry, and looked like they'd been sitting around for a while. I took one bite and immediately said, "Absolutely not." Another disappointment. But I wasn't too worried yet because I came for one thing: THE RIBS. The flavor was actually still there. The sauce and seasoning reminded me of the Woody's I remembered. BUT THE TEXTURE... A completely different story. The ribs weren't tender, weren't juicy, and definitely weren't falling off the bone. They were tough enough that I found myself working for every bite. At that point, the empty parking lot, empty dining room, and lack of lines made a lot more sense. By the end of the meal, I ended up rinsing the remaining ribs off so my dog could enjoy them as a chew toy. What hurts most isn't the bad meal--it's seeing what was once a legendary BBQ spot become a shadow of what it used to be. I almost wish I hadn't come back because it tarnished some really great childhood memories for me. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I also believe in being honest. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but based on this experience, Woody's is not the Woody's I remember, and unfortunately, I won't be returning. If it's any consolation, the cobbler was okay. But not worth going out of my way for.
