The sizes are insane and definitely shareable which is amazing!! It's a bang for your buck for sure. The food was delicious and definitely lived up to the hype. Definitely can have some long lines on the weekends but it does keep moving along. It is order and then seat yourself so keep that in mind. There's minimal seating indoors and definitely more seating outdoors. The only thing I wish was the salsa would be spicy but I will be back.
This place was so yummy! Found it randomly on Yelp and so glad that I did. Those Strawberry pancakes I'm coming back solely for those The place is in like a strip mall so the line looks a little intimidating but it moves quick. They have bus sets outside constantly cleaning the tables, clearing tables etc. Also had the biscuits and gravy biscuits were hard and sweet so I didn't like that. Staff was really nice and helpful. Definitely will come back.
Stopped by Burnt Crumb for breakfast and really enjoyed it. We ordered the strawberry soufflé pancakes and the 2 eggs any style breakfast with bacon, potatoes, and toast. Both didn't disappoint. The pancakes were light and fluffy but had few strawberry pieces, and the breakfast plate was very satisfying. Loved the crispy edges on the bacon. The staff was super friendly. Great spot for breakfast. Looking forward to trying other menu options.
Fun place for breakfast, with a constant steam of Japanese souffle pancakes on the grill at all times, a little bit of indoor seating, and extensive outdoor seating, with appropriately layers of wood and glass decor inside. The current special was mango creme souffle pancakes when I visited, and while they had a bit more structure than some others, they were still appropriately light and fluffy. Wasn't quite as impressed by the rest of the meal; wanted a side of eggs and sausage but didn't see that on the menu (just one of the two was available as a side), ended up ordering the 2 eggs meal as well to get my eggs and sausage. The eggs are default soft scrambled (you can ask however you want) and are okay, the breakfast sausage was a huge patty but the flavor didn't do it for me. Came with breakfast potatoes as well, which were delicious and crispy, and the Texas toast is huge (as it should be) - but man that was a lot of food. Which when you think about it, actually makes the various 2-egg breakfast meals a pretty good deal... The kitchen is quite fast and almost makes up for the long wait to order, I got there at noon and had a 35 minute wait in line. Really wanted to like this place, but in the end it feels pretty out of the way. Add in the long wait and the verdict seems to be, I'm glad I went, but not sure I'd come back unless I was already in the area.
I love Burnt Crumbs! I have been here twice and it's now one of my favorite brunch spots. I have tried their shredded beef chilaquiles, breakfast burrito with carne asada, avocado toast with egg and bacon, carne asada omelette, biscuits, and of course their soufflé pancakes (strawberry cream with fresh strawberries and berry compote with vanilla cream). Everything is super delicious but my favorites have been the carne asada omelette, breakfast burrito with carne asada, and soufflé pancakes. They are incredible! Their breakfast burrito comes with plenty of carne asada, eggs, and cheese! Super yummy. Their omelette is also filled with carne asada, cheese, as well as avocado on top. I love their soufflé pancakes. Not only is the presentation of the pancakes absolutely beautiful; they are also super good! The sauce on top with the fresh berries is amazing. I love that they're so fluffy too. :) I have tried their Vietnamese coffee and I thought it was yummy, although it wasn't spectacular. I also did notice that the fried egg that came with my avocado toast was a little too runny, but other than that everything was phenomenal. Their service is wonderful. The cashiers and servers are friendly and welcoming. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot right in front and there is both outdoor and indoor seating. I would try to avoid going during peak brunch hours around 11-noonish because it gets packed. I would go earlier in the morning or a little later once the brunch traffic isn't as bad.
Been wanting to try this place and it certainly lives up to the hype! We came a little after 11 am on a weekday and there was no line to order. You order at the front and can sit anywhere. Tons of outdoor seating with some indoors but be careful of the birds lol. Service was super friendly and thoughtful as they asked if we wanted extra plates to share. And the food came out quickly! -Strawberry soufflé pancakes (5/5): super soft, moist and delicious! The strawberry cream was so good and perfectly sweet. -Breakfast quesadilla (4/5): super HUGE and filled with eggs, potatoes and carne asada. Love that it came with pico de gallo and cilantro creama and salsa, though it was a bit salty. The potatoes on the side were tasty, crispy and nicely seasoned! Overall, solid food and generous portions. My sister and I shared the two dishes and we were stuffed. I would be back to try their other dishes!
Heard good things about this place and it lives up to the hype! Stopped by on a weekday a bit after 11AM and it wasn't too busy, but a line formed as we ate. We quickly ordered at the front counter and they brought out the food to us within a few minutes! Lots of outdoor patio seating but it was kinda sunny Strawberry soufflé pancakes (5/5): the best soufflé pancakes I've ever had! They were so warm and fluffy. The strawberry cream was so good too and not too sweet. I liked the strawberry purée/drizzle and fresh strawberries too Breakfast quesadilla with carne asada (4/5): huge portion and stuffed with carne asada, eggs and potatoes. I wasn't a fan of the cheese on the quesadilla, it was a bit salty to me. The side potatoes, pico de gallo, and salsa/cilantro crema were good and helped balance out the richness Portions were generous, my sister and I shared everything and were stuffed. Prices are decent and service was limited but quick and friendly. I would definitely come back if I was in the area!
This place is in a class of its own! A MUST try in Orange County. I've had about 4-5 things so far and all were amazing. Chilaquiles were 10/10(I added an additional egg) The one constant that gets ordered is the soft egg sandwich. The carne asada quesadilla is the most filled quesadilla I've probably ever had! So much cheese, eggs, and meat! The potatoes that come with the majority of their entrees are very yummy! I would suggest serving them with a side of ketchup or maybe that honey hot sauce that they have. Just something to dip the potatoes in :) There will be a line on the weekends BUT the food comes out incredibly quick! A must try ! Good patio seating for the pup too !
We ordered the egg quesadilla, strawberries, soufflé cake, and the spicy chicken sandwich The protein for our egg quesadilla was wrong. But we still ate it. the volume of it is huge. This is the best value dish on the menu The strawberry soufflé pancake was amazing not too sweet and fluffy. We were licking the plate. The spicy chicken burger sandwich was peppery and hot! My tongue was burning. I had to stop, but if you like spicy, this is definitely in your dish. The server was the tables we were trying to see that were not cleaned for a long time. I had to wave down a waitress to get them to take the dirty plates. They didn't clean or wiped the table so we had to wipe them ourselves. This is definitely a self-service café The ambience is very chaotic and family oriented. It's eat and go place.
Burnt Crumbs is one of my daughter's favorite breakfast joints because of their weekly special on Souffle Pancakes. We come here especially when we need to do Costco runs at Technology Drive. It's convenient and close by. My daughter usually gets their Souffle Pancakes while I would alternate between their carne asada omelet or breakfast plate. The dishes are tasty and satisfying. Service is usually quick too. Indoor seating is limited. Most people prefer outdoor seatings. I recommend you come here before 9am. After 9am, there tends to be a line. Earlier the better so you have more time to start your day.
We randomly stumbled on this breakfast spot and I'm so happy we did. The menu had that perfect Southern California vibe with a few dishes that gave subtle Hawaii energy, which immediately pulled me in. I ordered the breakfast fried rice and wow. It had everything I love crispy bacon, sausage, ham, eggs all mixed together in the most comforting way. I grew up eating rice and eggs for breakfast, so this dish felt nostalgic but elevated. The only thing I'd add? A little spam to really give it that full Hawaii-style moment. But honestly, it was still perfection and exactly what I'd order again. We also got a classic breakfast with sausage patties, eggs, and toast. And I have to talk about the toast. It had that ideal thick-cut slice, super buttery, and toasted to absolute perfection. Simple, but done so right. Now... the star of the show: the berry soufflé pancakes. 10/10. I would go back just for those. They were insanely fluffy, literally melted in your mouth, and weren't overly sweet. The berry compote was balanced beautifully not too sugary, not tart or bitter just smooth, fresh, and perfectly paired with the pancakes. Every bite felt light but indulgent. And if you're a strong coffee person, you have to get the Vietnamese coffee. It was bold, rich, and so good that I genuinely wish I ordered a larger size. That's how much I loved it. Overall, such a solid breakfast spot with comforting flavors, thoughtful execution, and a few dishes that make it memorable. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to.
10/10 would come to again. The berry soufflé pancake is my new favorite thing. It was soft, moist and delicious. Flavors were perfect. The breakfast fried potatoes were also great. There was a 5-10 minute wait before I could order and I was in a bit of a rush so I got it to go and I was handed a bag in 5 minutes. Signs said expect a wait of 15 mins for the soufflé. The to go version was a build your own with all the toppings individually wrapped. It was perfect.

This has got to be my new favorite breakfast and brunch spot. WOW is all I can say after devouring the pancake soufflés. They were so unique, fluffy, and unbelievably tasty, absolutely a must try. I'll be coming back for those, no question. The breakfast burrito was also delicious, juicy, and satisfying without making me feel overly stuffed. The prices are quite reasonable, especially for how popular this place is. If those soufflés ever went on sale, Burnt Crumbs would be an all star level spot in my book. The ambiance has an outdoor setup, which is nice, though there are a lot of birds around. Not the biggest fan of their little "surprises" from above, but hey, that's part of the outdoor dining experience lol. Overall, fantastic food, great vibes, and easily one of my new go to brunch places. read more
Calling all Japanese Souffle Pancakes lovers, add this spot to your list of places to try in OC. I stopped by on a Saturday morning right before the store opened, which was good, because a crowd quickly formed right as the store opened at 8:30am. The store only has a few small tables inside but there is plenty of outdoor seating. Since I was 3rd in line my order came out within a few minutes or so. The two pancakes were so fluffy, light, and fresh. It was everything you want in a Japanese souffle pancake. But the strawberry cream on top in my opinion was probably what brought the dish to the next level. The key was that it wasn't too overly sweet, but complimented the warm pancakes just right. And then the fresh strawberries on the side just rounds out the dish so well! They also offer some savory options here too which I will have to try next time, but honestly, if you just come for the pancakes, you'd be all set. read more

Came here on a Saturday for brunch and there was a bit of a wait due to the line to order but it was easy to find a table. I decided to get an iced Vietnamese coffee ($5) and the carne asada omelette ($19). My friend got the strawberry soufflé pancakes, which they seem to be known for. The Vietnamese coffee comes out immediately (after you order) and the food comes out quickly. The carne asada omelette was good but didn't really impress me in flavor. It came with a side of potatoes, which were nice and crispy. The soufflé pancakes had a nice jiggle and were quite fluffy in texture. Pretty average prices for a brunch spot in OC! read more

Came here last month for a quick breakfast during the weekdays, at a little before 10. I loved the vibe of this place! Not super busy at first, but then it was packed in no time. They have some indoor seating, but a lot of outdoor seating. We ordered the breakfast burrito, quesadillas (both pretty generous portions), and the strawberry cream fresh strawberries souffle panckaes. They brought it out without much of a wait, and everything was really really good! Even the home fried potatoes were so good, we were so full, but couldnt stop eating those. I would definitely recommend this place, and I will be going back soon for sure! read more

Trying out this casual dining place. I had the breakast quesadillas with carne asada, strawberry soufflé pancake with a Vietnamese iced coffee. It looks amazing and tasted great. The breakfast quesadillas comes with triangle shaped potatoes that were hot and delicious. The portions are large enough to share. There's a few tables inside the establishment but lots of serious side under a cover. It's a beautiful day in OC so don't miss out. read more

Friendly service from both the cashier and the person who brought our food. There isn't much seating inside, but there's plenty of space on the patio. You order at the counter, take a number, and they bring it out. The food came out quickly, which was nice. We tried the strawberry soufflé pancakes, carne asada quesadilla, country fried chicken sandwich, and a strawberry lemonade. The drink was good, but the food didn't hit the mark for us. The pancakes were okay, but I wouldn't order them again--I've had soufflé pancakes before and didn't care for this version. The quesadilla was very greasy, and the chicken sandwich lacked flavor--even the sauces didn't help. The crispy potatoes were the highlight of the meal. Maybe we ordered the wrong items, but overall, we were hoping for a better experience. read more

Honestly the reviews about this place are spot on. This is now an essential spot to grab some brunchie options. Aesthetic & Ambiance: 8/10 - Looks like a typical OC brunch spot, but with seating mainly outside. There's a handful of indoor seating, but plenty of shaded seats outside. The ambiance is fast casual order your meal and go find a seat, wait for them to bring it to you. (They also come by and grab the finished plates too) Service: 9/10 - the girl taking my order was awesome, she was fun with a warming personality, and I took her suggestion on the strawberries & cream over the berrries & vanilla cream pancakes. The strawberries& cream souffl pancake: 9/10 very fluffy as you'd image, but the greatest part, it wasn't eggy! It was baked perfectly and flavored great! The strawberries and cream on top was a perfect sweetness and balance to flavor. The southern fried chicken sandwich: 9/10 fried perfectly the chicken was tender and moist. The garlic mashed as a condiment was delicious and added so much flavor. The bread being a house biscuit was also delicious, but a little dry to eat all as one bite. I'd ask for an extra side of sriracha honey to kick up the heat and add some balance to the biscuit! :)) read more

I came here for the souffle pancakes, which did not disappoint, but the breakfast burrito was the star of the meal! The potatoes were not dry, but crispy and cajun spiced. The burrito had a creamy salsa aioli sauce that paired well with the eggs and bacon, and the portion size was generous. Surprisingly I really liked this spot! I like that it's not a full sit down service, you order at the front & you find your own table. I felt that the service was more efficient & faster this way. I tried the sausage, egg, & cheese sandwich in a brioche bun, this was so good! Very flavorful & came with yummy potatoes. We also tried the strawberry soufflé pancake, this was also a good one to share! Highly recommend this spot for brunch! read more
If you're in Irvine and love brunch, this place is a must! I get the breakfast burrito (vegetarian) and the potatoes on the side are always well cooked with the perfect amount of crunchiness. It's definitely filling so I recommend splitting it and getting one of the soufflé pancakes, which is also just as delish. The line to order can definitely get long, but it moves pretty fast and there's a large amount of seating outside. I've had a good experience for both times I've been! read more

A nice, spacious, and casual brunch spot! Plenty of outdoor seating with shading from the sun. Came on a sunday morning around 10AM. There wase a constant line, but it doesn't get too long and goes by pretty quickly. - berry compote souflee pancake: 9.5/10. Fluffy and delicious! Don't know of any other places in the area that have fluffy souflee pancakes. A rare find! Perfect amount of sweetness, cream, and tartness with crunchy cookie crumble. Would come back here just for this! - spaghetti grilled cheese: 7.4/10. Tasty! The two sauces it came with were so delicious and definitely made the sandwhich. It was a garlic aioli and marinara dipping sauce. Great, crunchy texture, but very oily. read more
We went on a Sunday for lunch. The line wasn't bad. It is located in a good size shopping center. There is lots of outdoor sittings. We can relax and take our time to eat. I ordered a salad. My kids ordered their Japanese pancake and breakfast burrito. The amount of food is good. I was impressed with my salad. Good flavor. Good amount of meat and the salad is crunch and fresh. We have been wanting to try this place for quite a while. There's always a line out the door and today wa no exception, but even so the line moved pretty quickly. We waited about 15 minutes the service was awesome and friendly, you order at the counter and they bring out the food to you. We ordered the strawberry soufflé pancakes, the eggs bacon and potato platter and a pastrami hash burrito. To drink we ordered 2 Vietnamese iced coffees and an orange juice. The pancakes came out first and they not only looked amazing but were so fluffy and tasty!! A must try!! The burrito was also huge and delicious and the potatoes it came with were so crispy and so good! Egg platter is enough for 2 people with lots of fluffy eggs, potatoes and crispy bacon. As far as seating, there is limited seating inside, but there's plenty of seating outside. Overall we loved the breakfast and will definitely be back to try other menu items, come check them out!! read more

Loved coming here! The service was above and beyond helpful and kind. You go up to the counter to order then find a spot to sit. Our food came out pretty quickly. The soufflé pancakes were nice and soft. The orange juice was a nice refresher. The quesadilla was super filling and delicious. But i honestly think the silent star of the show were the potatoes! Seen this brunch cafe all over my IG feed and decided to make a visit on the weekend. I really liked Japanese style souffle pancake~ so decided to place an order for their pancakes with Strawberry. The counter person (owner) was super friendly, polite~and recommended the Carne Asada Quesadillas as well; Owner gave me a number plate to place on the outside table for waitstaff to bring the food over. Food tasted good~Especially the Souffle pancakes. The Quesadillas also tasted good too. Though, the price for brunch food is more pricey compared to other places. Overall, a great food find read more
The service was great! My friends and I had a hard time choosing, but the cashier was super patient and helpful. The quesadillas were SOOO good (what he recommended). The famous soufflé pancakes are a MUST TRY! They are so cute and jiggly. Not only are they photogenic, but they taste good too :3 Also, love the worker maria!! She is super helpful and helped the cashier with helping us choose our orders. For cleanliness: I would give a 3, since the tables had bird poop on every one of them. One downside. Not much seating at their restaurant, so we had bring the food out to the outside public seating areas. read more

Wanting to try something different for brunch decided to give this place a try. We ordered the breakfast burrito with carne asada, the strawberries and cream soufflé and the pistachio soufflé pancake. The breakfast burrito was very flavorful, I enjoyed the sauces in it. Both the strawberries and pistachio soufflé pancakes were delicious. Very fluffy and sweet. Star of the show in our opinion. This place is inside a plaza, the seating inside is limited but plenty of seating outside. Person at the counter was friendly. read more
Plenty of parking spaces. You have to wait in line to place an order and the wait can be long. (We noticed that the line was significantly shorter about an hour or so before closing) After placing the order, you can find a table to sit in front of the restaurant. They give you a number to place on the table and they'll bring the food to you. They do have tables inside but only about 4 tables. The food was not particularly good but also not bad. Enough for me to be willing to go back to try other dishes. Also, their portions were big + staff were friendly. As soon as you pull into the parking lot, you can already tell it's a great spot there's a line of people waiting to order, and for good reason! The food here is on another level. The soufflé pancakes are absolutely amazing fluffy, rich, and full of flavor. And the breakfast burrito? Perfectly done and super satisfying. Burnt Crumbs is a treat! Their souffle pancakes are jiggly, warm, and melt in your mouth soft. My favorite is the original flavor because it is not as sweet as the others, but they also offer berry and seasonal options that my friends really enjoy. The Vietnamese iced coffee is another highlight--I cannot get enough of it! I found the fried rice a bit on the salty side, so you might want to ask for low sodium if you are sensitive to that. Their avocado toast with eggs was excellent. Just be prepared for a wait on weekends, and note that most of the seating is outdoors. Finally got to try this viral spot, and I am pleasantly surprised!! I have mentioned several times that there are few breakfast places I like in OC, and Burnt Crumbs was just added to the list. I know their soufflé pancakes made them viral, and while they were good, I really think the savory items on the menu deserve to shine! The breakfast quesadilla with carne asada was delicious (maybe just a little too oily) and the burrito with carne asada looked great too. Portions are huge, definitely good for two, and the pricing is great compared to what's out there these days. I wish they had more options for coffee, but otherwise a great option! read more
My wife and I usually default to a nearby Starbucks for our Saturday morning caffeine/quick food fix, but on a whim, we decided to try Burnt Crumbs since there wasn't a line out the door (this place is usually packed). I ordered the Vietnamese coffee and carne asada omelette, while my wife went with the breakfast burrito and a lemonade. The food was solid but not out of the ordinary - pretty standard stuff. However, we were quite satisfied with their home fried potatoes. Super crispy, perfectly seasoned, and honestly, the part of the meal we kept talking about afterward. Food came out pretty quickly, and the setup is mostly outdoor seating shared with neighboring restaurants. You grab a number and a friendly server brings your food to your table. Parking was easy and everyone we interacted with was pleasant and helpful. That said, paying over $50 for breakfast definitely made our eyebrows do a little jump. We get that Irvine breakfast comes with a price tag, but it still felt a bit hefty for your typical breakfast plates. read more

Do yourself a favor and try the breakfast quesadilla (which is also available at lunch) with sausage as the protein. Sounds like a kid's meal? Nope, this is an epic quesadilla that could feed two. It comes with salsa and a delicious cilantro crema, plus fries. The fries are light and crispy squares and quite good. I like to complement my meal with a Vietnamese coffee and share an order of the soufflé pancakes with my wife. (In which case I take half the quesadilla home and have it the next day.) Also good: The fried rice, breakfast burrito, and egg/hash sandwich on brioche. I'm not as a big of a fan of their chicken sandwiches or buttermilk biscuits. read more

Food that's a feast for the eyes but falls a bit short in flavor for some dishes. Third or fourth time visiting and we decided to get the seasonal chocolate pistachio soufflé pancakes, appealing to the Dubai chocolate craze a bit. The whipped cream and ice cream served with the pancake went very well as the hot and cold and sweetness came together. We ordered a breakfast plate which was standard fare. Ordered with the hash which tasted a bit plain without extra salt. Crazy wait for a midday Sunday brunch and the parking lot is shared with a busy Whole Foods so beware. Staff were nice but be weary that some seating is outside and can be dirty and not cleaned often. It is order and find a seat and they'll bring it to your number. I love the foodie appeal and would try new items but wish some of the items were better. read more

I went last Thursday in the afternoon. The restaurant was average size and I didn't know if they indoor seating, but they do have a beautiful front patio where you could sit. The way you order is by walking up to the cashier and ordering from there. The guy was very nice at the cashier. We ordered the Carne Asada Burrito and the Carne Asada Omelette. Our total came out to be $44 after tax n tip. We waited about 7-9 mins for our food which wasn't too bad. The potatoes tasted like any other potatoes that you could get anywhere. The carne asada for for both meals were delicious. It was very tender as it wasn't overcooked and was flavorful. The sauce they had in the burrito was really good as well. For some reason, the omelette tasted different compared to other breakfast spots. I don't know if it's the way they made it or maybe added something special, it was just really good. Overall, had a great breakfast along side great service. The area around had shops for you to check out after you're done eating. Definitely check this breakfast place out if you're in the area. They have a lunch menu, so i'm definitely coming back to try! read more

The menu is a little overpriced, but I suppose it's understandable. The line suddenly tripled after 10 AM, so beware of potential wait! Vietnamese Coffee: Average. Country Fried Steak breakfast sandwich: The steak could have been juicier and the breading started to separate. However, the runny yolk of the egg helped bring the sandwich together. They do not take reservations- it is seat yourself, with ample first-come seating. You order at a counter and the food is brought to your table.

On DoorDash does the bacon breakfast burrito come with fried potatoes on the side? Also is their salsa on the side? Any extra hot sauce on the side available?
The breakfast burritos by default come with fried "breakfast homestyle potatoes" on the side, as well as a cup of house red salsa. Sriracha/Extra Red Salsa are available by request at no charge.
