I've been here a few times and it's a good lunch place to go to. I don't really like going here on a weekend or weekday lunch cause parking always seems to be hard even though it has a big parking area. If you go here for the lunch break on weekday or weekend, you'll see a long line so just be aware about that. But service is pretty good and people there are friendly as well. It can get a bit hectic. There is no seating inside but seating outside. There are usually spots available since many do takeout vs. eating there. As for the food, I always go with spaghetti grilled cheese and it's so good. It's a lot in my opinion that I can only eat half of it but it's still good as a leftover as well. So I highly recommend if you like spaghetti and grilled cheese but want it one. There are also good food choices there so I highly recommend trying other ones as well. Overall, a good spot for lunch but just know parking is hard and you may wait a bit in line plus food but pretty worth it in my opinion.
I overall had a great experience here! My partner and I shared the breakfast sandwich (which came with a side of country style potatoes) and the strawberry cream soufflé cakes. Firstly, the breakfast sandwich was one of the best things i've ever had. It was so flavorful, the egg inside was so soft and there was so much packed into that sandwich. The bun was buttery and the potatoes that come on the side are so crispy. Secondly, the soufflé cakes are nothing too special. They lack flavor, most of the flavor coming from the cream on top and the strawberries served on the side. I would say they are good for pictures but the taste themselves is just lacking. The restaurant is a cute little spot, I didn't notice too much indoor seating but there are plenty of spots outside. You order yourself inside and the workers bring the food out, everyone working there was super kind! I will definitely be coming back for that sandwich!!
Wow! This brunch spot is a 10 out of 10. The ambiance was welcoming and the outdoor dining area was spacious and clean. The gentleman taking our order was extremely helpful in guiding us to some fantastic food choices. The wait staff was also courteous and friendly. But the star of the show was definitely the food. We ordered the bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a pillowy brioche bun (Excellent sandwich) and we also ordered the house special the souffle pancakes, I don't know how they made them but they are like a lemon meringue texture,but in pancake form....(Super Delicious) This is a must try in the city of Irvine and we will 100% be back to try the breakfast burrito!
Came here last minute as we were nearby! So glad we did as I finally got to try this place. My husband got the Pastrami Breakfast Sandwich (no pics as it was so good - he finished it ASAP LOL). With it came some potatoes and those were YUMMY! We're picky on our potatoes as some places either make them too soft or dense. These had a nice crunch and still fluffy in the middle. I got the Strawberry Soufflé Pancakes! It comes with two per order and was very jiggly. The pancakes were soft, fluffy, and airy. The strawberry sauce and cream on top that it comes with added a nice acidity and sweetness. Then to finish it off, some nice actual strawberries. Will come back to try more on their menu!! Service was fast as well and the staff were helpfully on suggestions to try :) Plenty of parking as well in the area as it's in a shopping plaza.
Just wanted some breakfast and was told to stop in here! No line when we arrived, although I hear there can be a wait at times....... Easy to order, super friendly and helpful staff, not a lot of space inside, so be ready to order and move on out to the many tables outside the area. Parking, a pain in the butt as usual in California. This is also a tight parking area, so be ready for it. Drinks were good, I would not give the Vietnamese coffee the best review, but it was good, just not great. The food though, excellent! Definitely loved the pancakes and I was able to try the carne asada quesadilla which was out of this world. I would highly recommend this spot and the food was great. Inside of the restaurant is cute and cozy! The food here is amazing, we loved every single item we got. The fried chicken sandwich was 10/10 and the soufflé pancakes are really fluffy and tasty. The service is quick, there's a line but it goes by quick and food comes out pretty quick as well. Very casual atmosphere, but crowded great place to grab a quick or nice brunch
Definitely recommend this brunch place. Line was out the door and we waited about 15-20 mins or so for our group of 7, but the food arrived no later than 10 mins or so after ordering. They have many outdoor tables with slight roof covering to prevent sunburn. I had to go with sweet and savory. I ordered the breakfast burrito which was very good and came with potatoes. One of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. I also got the strawberry cream soufflé pancakes and loved the fluffiness. The outer strawberry glaze was sweet. This place was so yummy! Found it randomly on Yelp and so glad that I did. Those Strawberry pancakes I'm coming back solely for those The place is in like a strip mall so the line looks a little intimidating but it moves quick. They have bus sets outside constantly cleaning the tables, clearing tables etc. Also had the biscuits and gravy biscuits were hard and sweet so I didn't like that. Staff was really nice and helpful. Definitely will come back.
This is our first time at Burnt Crumbs and now I understand the popularity. The food is amazing and reasonably priced. We ordered the original soufflé pancakes, bacon sandwich, bacon burrito and Vietnamese coffee. Everything was so delicious! The star of the show was definitely the soufflé pancakes and the potatoes. The pancakes were so light and airy. The potatoes were flavorful and so crispy. The lines were long and it does take some time for the line to move, but after you're done ordering, the food comes out so fast! Can't wait to come back here to try their other items.
I thought this place was overhyped, but honestly, it was really good and the flavors were really good and the service was really quick. Hopefully will try their fluffy pancakes next time!

Heard good things about this place and it lives up to the hype! Stopped by on a weekday a bit after 11AM and it wasn't too busy, but a line formed as we ate. We quickly ordered at the front counter and they brought out the food to us within a few minutes! Lots of outdoor patio seating but it was kinda sunny Strawberry soufflé pancakes (5/5): the best soufflé pancakes I've ever had! They were so warm and fluffy. The strawberry cream was so good too and not too sweet. I liked the strawberry purée/drizzle and fresh strawberries too Breakfast quesadilla with carne asada (4/5): huge portion and stuffed with carne asada, eggs and potatoes. I wasn't a fan of the cheese on the quesadilla, it was a bit salty to me. The side potatoes, pico de gallo, and salsa/cilantro crema were good and helped balance out the richness Portions were generous, my sister and I shared everything and were stuffed. Prices are decent and service was limited but quick and friendly. I would definitely come back if I was in the area!

The strawberry cream was so good and perfectly sweet. -Breakfast quesadilla (4/5): super HUGE and filled with eggs, potatoes and carne asada. Love that it came with pico de gallo and cilantro creama and salsa, though it was a bit salty. The potatoes on the side were tasty, crispy and nicely seasoned! Finally tried the famous pancake place!! Their soufflé pancakes are incredibly soft and bouncy--lightly sweet, airy, and they melt right in your mouth. It honestly feels like eating a cloud. Highly recommend if you haven't been yet... who doesn't want to eat clouds? The quesadillas are huge! One of the cheesiest and most flavorful quesadillas I've ever had. There's no way to finish the whole plate in one sitting. We took half home and it was still delicious the next day. The fried potatoes on the side were super crispy and well-seasoned too. The shredded beef sandwich was toasted perfectly with really good bread. The beef itself was decent but a little salty. Overall a tasty sandwich, though it had a lot going on, so the flavors got a bit lost. Solid 4/5. Seating here is self-serve: you order first, then find a table. The line gets crazy on weekends, but there's plenty of parking in the plaza. Plus, it's right next to Whole Foods if you want to walk it off afterward. read more
This is the 2nd time we came back for brunch because that's how good the souffle pancakes are. The first time we ordered the carne asada omelette, the strawberry souffle pancake and vietnamese coffee. This time around we changed it up and got the breakfast burrito with carne asada, souffle pancake and fruit puree lemonade. Between the omelette and burrito, I would definitely recommend the burrito! We felt that it was more flavorful but the potato that come with either option are so crispy and tasty. The souffle pancake is soft, fluffy, jiggly, eggy and tastes just the ones I had in Japan. Its soooo good! Both the vietnamese coffee and the lemonade are good choices. They said the lemonade and fruit puree is made in house. All in all, this has become 1 of our favorite brunch spots! read more

Came for the souffle pancakes and was not disappointed. We got both the classic and strawberry. They're were both fluffy and delicious. The strawberry is sweeter because of the strawberry cream topping and jam, but it's not too sweet. Got their breakfast burrito and egg combo plate. Their crispy potatoes are amazing and their salsa and cilantro sauce go well with everything. Service was great and food was out quickly. Enjoyed the outdoor seating in this nice plaza with plenty of parking around. Definitely recommend stopping by and giving it a try if you're in the area. Enjoy! read more
Burnt Crumbs was such a nice spot to sit and enjoy breakfast with my husband. The patio is really relaxed and welcoming, and after you order, they bring the food out to your table. The staff were friendly, patient, and just had good vibes -- they also gave really solid recommendations. The soufflé pancakes were a 10/10. My husband got a breakfast burrito with salsa and said it was the best one we had during our whole CA trip. Before leaving California, we had to stop by one more time to try more: the pistachio soufflé pancakes were amazing, the avocado toast was delicious (I added an egg), and the Vietnamese coffee wasn't as sweet as I usually go for, but still worth trying. The burrito was so good that my husband ordered it again on day two. Overall, great food, great people, great atmosphere. We'd absolutely go back! read more
Top brunch spot in the area. Get ready for a 30 minute wait during weekends, but it is definitely worth it. The menu is simple and everything is delicious. The breakfast quesadilla portion is huge, and the soufflé pancake is their signature which is a perfect treat to end brunch since it is light, fluffy, and not too sweet. Located in the Spectrum, it is right in the hustle and bustle of Irvine. Counter service with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Ambiance is casual and friendly. No frills, just what I like. While they are known for their soufflé pancakes, I opted for their breakfast burrito with carne asada. Portions are huge, but flavors are just ok. It is a step above diner food imo. This has got to be my new favorite breakfast and brunch spot. WOW is all I can say after devouring the pancake soufflés. They were so unique, fluffy, and unbelievably tasty, absolutely a must try. I'll be coming back for those, no question. The breakfast burrito was also delicious, juicy, and satisfying without making me feel overly stuffed. The prices are quite reasonable, especially for how popular this place is. If those soufflés ever went on sale, Burnt Crumbs would be an all star level spot in my book. The ambiance has an outdoor setup, which is nice, though there are a lot of birds around. Not the biggest fan of their little "surprises" from above, but hey, that's part of the outdoor dining experience lol. Overall, fantastic food, great vibes, and easily one of my new go to brunch places. read more
Calling all Japanese Souffle Pancakes lovers, add this spot to your list of places to try in OC. I stopped by on a Saturday morning right before the store opened, which was good, because a crowd quickly formed right as the store opened at 8:30am. The store only has a few small tables inside but there is plenty of outdoor seating. Since I was 3rd in line my order came out within a few minutes or so. The two pancakes were so fluffy, light, and fresh. It was everything you want in a Japanese souffle pancake. But the strawberry cream on top in my opinion was probably what brought the dish to the next level. The key was that it wasn't too overly sweet, but complimented the warm pancakes just right. And then the fresh strawberries on the side just rounds out the dish so well! They also offer some savory options here too which I will have to try next time, but honestly, if you just come for the pancakes, you'd be all set. read more

Another delicious breakfast at Burnt Crumbs. Their menu is pretty short, but honestly that's part of the charm--everything they serve is done really well. We ordered the carne asada burrito, an omelette, and of course the soufflé pancakes (because skipping those would be a mistake). The burrito was hearty and flavorful, the omelette cooked just right, and the breakfast potatoes were perfect--crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. And the soufflé pancakes? Soft, jiggly clouds of happiness. The strawberry sauce was so good we were basically chasing the last drops on the plate. Small menu, big payoff. Came here on a Saturday for brunch and there was a bit of a wait due to the line to order but it was easy to find a table. I decided to get an iced Vietnamese coffee ($5) and the carne asada omelette ($19). My friend got the strawberry soufflé pancakes, which they seem to be known for. The Vietnamese coffee comes out immediately (after you order) and the food comes out quickly. The carne asada omelette was good but didn't really impress me in flavor. It came with a side of potatoes, which were nice and crispy. The soufflé pancakes had a nice jiggle and were quite fluffy in texture. Pretty average prices for a brunch spot in OC! read more
We arrived minutes before the restaurant opened and there was already a short line of excited diners gathered at the entrance. Their Japanese soufflé style pancakes are done right, fluffy and light and taste like airy custard. The berries, crumble. And vanilla cream were all good complements. Service was quick and everyone we interacted with was very friendly. I've been here many times over the years, and I always love the food. Recently, I door dashed from them, and I was brought the wrong order. I called the store and Daphne was incredibly helpful. She had me place another order so I could get my food and sent me an extra order of pancakes as an apology. She also contacted DoorDash on my behalf to initiate a refund, which I got back in two days. Genuinely fantastic service. Thank you again Daphne! read more

Trying out this casual dining place. I had the breakast quesadillas with carne asada, strawberry soufflé pancake with a Vietnamese iced coffee. It looks amazing and tasted great. The breakfast quesadillas comes with triangle shaped potatoes that were hot and delicious. The portions are large enough to share. There's a few tables inside the establishment but lots of serious side under a cover. It's a beautiful day in OC so don't miss out. read more

Friendly service from both the cashier and the person who brought our food. There isn't much seating inside, but there's plenty of space on the patio. You order at the counter, take a number, and they bring it out. The food came out quickly, which was nice. We tried the strawberry soufflé pancakes, carne asada quesadilla, country fried chicken sandwich, and a strawberry lemonade. The drink was good, but the food didn't hit the mark for us. The pancakes were okay, but I wouldn't order them again--I've had soufflé pancakes before and didn't care for this version. The quesadilla was very greasy, and the chicken sandwich lacked flavor--even the sauces didn't help. The crispy potatoes were the highlight of the meal. 10/10 would come to again. The berry soufflé pancake is my new favorite thing. It was soft, moist and delicious. Flavors were perfect. The breakfast fried potatoes were also great. There was a 5-10 minute wait before I could order and I was in a bit of a rush so I got it to go and I was handed a bag in 5 minutes. Signs said expect a wait of 15 mins for the soufflé. Honestly the reviews about this place are spot on. This is now an essential spot to grab some brunchie options. Aesthetic & Ambiance: 8/10 - Looks like a typical OC brunch spot, but with seating mainly outside. There's a handful of indoor seating, but plenty of shaded seats outside. The ambiance is fast casual order your meal and go find a seat, wait for them to bring it to you. (They also come by and grab the finished plates too) Service: 9/10 - the girl taking my order was awesome, she was fun with a warming personality, and I took her suggestion on the strawberries & cream over the berrries & vanilla cream pancakes. The strawberries& cream souffl pancake: 9/10 very fluffy as you'd image, but the greatest part, it wasn't eggy! It was baked perfectly and flavored great! The strawberries and cream on top was a perfect sweetness and balance to flavor. The southern fried chicken sandwich: 9/10 fried perfectly the chicken was tender and moist. The garlic mashed as a condiment was delicious and added so much flavor. The bread being a house biscuit was also delicious, but a little dry to eat all as one bite. I'd ask for an extra side of sriracha honey to kick up the heat and add some balance to the biscuit! :)) read more
If you're in Irvine and love brunch, this place is a must! I get the breakfast burrito (vegetarian) and the potatoes on the side are always well cooked with the perfect amount of crunchiness. It's definitely filling so I recommend splitting it and getting one of the soufflé pancakes, which is also just as delish. I came here for the souffle pancakes, which did not disappoint, but the breakfast burrito was the star of the meal! The potatoes were not dry, but crispy and cajun spiced. The burrito had a creamy salsa aioli sauce that paired well with the eggs and bacon, and the portion size was generous. We sat outside on a beautiful day, and service was quick despite the long line to order! read more

There wase a constant line, but it doesn't get too long and goes by pretty quickly. - berry compote souflee pancake: 9.5/10. Fluffy and delicious! Don't know of any other places in the area that have fluffy souflee pancakes. A rare find! Perfect amount of sweetness, cream, and tartness with crunchy cookie crumble. Would come back here just for this! - spaghetti grilled cheese: 7.4/10. Tasty! The two sauces it came with were so delicious and definitely made the sandwhich. We went on a Sunday for lunch. The line wasn't bad. It is located in a good size shopping center. There is lots of outdoor sittings. We can relax and take our time to eat. I ordered a salad. My kids ordered their Japanese pancake and breakfast burrito. The amount of food is good. I was impressed with my salad. Good flavor. Good amount of meat and the salad is crunch and fresh. Surprisingly I really liked this spot! I like that it's not a full sit down service, you order at the front & you find your own table. I felt that the service was more efficient & faster this way. I tried the sausage, egg, & cheese sandwich in a brioche bun, this was so good! Very flavorful & came with yummy potatoes. We also tried the strawberry soufflé pancake, this was also a good one to share! Highly recommend this spot for brunch! read more

Loved coming here! The service was above and beyond helpful and kind. You go up to the counter to order then find a spot to sit. Our food came out pretty quickly. The soufflé pancakes were nice and soft. The orange juice was a nice refresher. The quesadilla was super filling and delicious. But i honestly think the silent star of the show were the potatoes! Seen this brunch cafe all over my IG feed and decided to make a visit on the weekend. I really liked Japanese style souffle pancake~ so decided to place an order for their pancakes with Strawberry. The counter person (owner) was super friendly, polite~and recommended the Carne Asada Quesadillas as well; Owner gave me a number plate to place on the outside table for waitstaff to bring the food over. The service was great! My friends and I had a hard time choosing, but the cashier was super patient and helpful. The quesadillas were SOOO good (what he recommended). The famous soufflé pancakes are a MUST TRY! They are so cute and jiggly. Not only are they photogenic, but they taste good too :3 Also, love the worker maria!! She is super helpful and helped the cashier with helping us choose our orders. For cleanliness: I would give a 3, since the tables had bird poop on every one of them. One downside. Came here last month for a quick breakfast during the weekdays, at a little before 10. I loved the vibe of this place! Not super busy at first, but then it was packed in no time. They have some indoor seating, but a lot of outdoor seating. We ordered the breakfast burrito, quesadillas (both pretty generous portions), and the strawberry cream fresh strawberries souffle panckaes. They brought it out without much of a wait, and everything was really really good! Even the home fried potatoes were so good, we were so full, but couldnt stop eating those. I would definitely recommend this place, and I will be going back soon for sure! read more

Chilaquiles 4/5-the meat was juicy and the avocado was fresh Nashville hot chicken sandwich-3/5 not spicy at all just peppery, little bland Ranch 5/5- homemade flavor Overall it was fast service with more seating outside rather than in. I havent seen any high chairs, all seating is outside on the patio and those are regular metal chairs/tables. Some have ada access. Also they dont take reservations. There is a qr code menu and the board when you stand in line. It goes pretty fast…

The breakfast burritos by default come with fried "breakfast homestyle potatoes" on the side, as well as a cup of house red salsa. Sriracha/Extra Red Salsa are available by request at no charge.
