Having seen their fluffy pancakes all over social media, we thought we'd swing by and try it out for ourselves. On a Sunday morning, we expected a long wait. Instead, we saw several empty seats (outside) and little to no room inside. Judging from the videos, we thought it was a normal diner. Came here last month for a quick breakfast during the weekdays, at a little before 10. I loved the vibe of this place! Not super busy at first, but then it was packed in no time. They have some indoor seating, but a lot of outdoor seating. We ordered the breakfast burrito, quesadillas (both pretty generous portions), and the strawberry cream fresh strawberries souffle panckaes. (We noticed that the line was significantly shorter about an hour or so before closing) After placing the order, you can find a table to sit in front of the restaurant. Finally got to try this viral spot, and I am pleasantly surprised!! I have mentioned several times that there are few breakfast places I like in OC, and Burnt Crumbs was just added to the list. I went last Thursday in the afternoon. The restaurant was average size and I didn't know if they indoor seating, but they do have a beautiful front patio where you could sit. The way you order is by walking up to the cashier and ordering from there. The guy was very nice at the cashier. We ordered the Carne Asada Burrito and the Carne Asada Omelette. Our total came out to be $44 after tax n tip. We waited about 7-9 mins for our food which wasn't too bad. The potatoes tasted like any other potatoes that you could get anywhere. The carne asada for for both meals were delicious. It was very tender as it wasn't overcooked and was flavorful. The sauce they had in the burrito was really good as well. For some reason, the omelette tasted different compared to other breakfast spots. I don't know if it's the way they made it or maybe added something special, it was just really good. Overall, had a great breakfast along side great service. The area around had shops for you to check out after you're done eating. Definitely check this breakfast place out if you're in the area. Another standout item was the breakfast fried rice: it was also so flavorful, and from what I understand they only make a certain amount of the dish, so you may want to get here early if you want to try it. I think the closest I can probably describe the fried rice is probably Hawaiian fried rice: it's got spam, peas, fried eggs, carrot, and topped with a fried sunny side egg: it was very savory, and perfect with the runny yolk. Seating is shared with the other restaurants in that area, but I didn't find an issue with finding a spot: I think the hard part is finding a spot in the shade, so perhaps bring a hat if you dont want the sun in your eyes.
