Every single employee I've encountered is extremely happy, friendly, & helpful. I'm not sure what management is doing to keep their employees so happy but kudos to them because I LOVE coming in! I'm not a fan of the chips which are fabulously thin but always have a semi-stale texture to them no matter the time of day I pick up. They are pretty flavorless so though the economy bag is HUGE, it's definitely not on my go-to list of things to order. The red salsa is pretty tasty & while I like the salsa verde, I can't love it because it is always WAY too salty. I'm an avid cook/baker so I know & really admire the value of adding salt but truly, too much of a good thing becomes bad. With regard to food selection, you really can't go wrong with Mexican style food. If you want the freshest ingredients, look no further than Burrito Bandito. The veggies are cut fresh daily & they add in exactly what you like making everyone a happy eater. If you left B.B. hungry, you literally order or ordered water. Try everything at least once before settling on a favorite. I'm a fan of the marinated chicken but my husband really likes the carne asada. I like burrito bowls (think nachos minus the chips) & my husband loves their burritos. Definitely enough for 2 meals. The restaurant is really whimsical & if you've never been in, it's almost a Redding icon & a must visit place because of the unique art, hot, I mean HOT sauces for sale throughout the restaurant & collection of the coolest kitty cat ornaments! Not sure how the fiesta kitty fits in but I say keep them coming! Bottom line; Will I return & would I recommend this restaurant to others? Yes & YES! In fact, when my father-in-law visits from Denmark, this is the place he requests to go once the jet lag wears off! I do like this chain and I like this location. The food isn't "authentic" Mex food, but it does seem to be quality ingredients. I've been quite a few times and had mostly positive experiences. However, there is a people "flow" problem at this location when it gets busy, which is concerning because of COVID-19. When the line gets long, the ordering area becomes extremely cramped, along with the register area, which are both way too close together and have tables out in front to distance customers from staff. Unfortunately while their staff is distanced and safe, they're cramping a line of customers into a tight area where C19 transmission can easily happen. In order to abide by public health guidelines, this location needs to move their registers farther away from the food ordering, and rearrange tables to allow for more line spacing. If I walk in here again to a (10+ people) crowd of unmasked customers packed into the tight corner, i'm walking out and alerting county public health.. A few very simple changes would rectify this, we all need to do our part to keep our community safe! read more

I came to burrito bandito in a hurry. I had about 20 minutes to eat lunch, and make it back to my next customer. The line had about 7 people in front of me, but they had 4 people behind the counter making food, and the lines flew out the door. It took 3 minutes for me to be out the door. I sat at the outside patio and ate my burrito in light speed (and for those who have been here you know this is a feat). The staff was helpful and courteous. On to what I had. I had a shredded beef (full of flavor) burrito with a black bean base (also really good) with cabbage, pico de gallo sauce (lots of good flavors here tastes fresh made), and jalapenos. They also offer sour cream and fresh cut from the skin avocados. Overall the food was excellent for a fast food joint, and they got me out fast despite having a long line. Great tasting food. Very friendly employees. Carna asada is well seasoned. About 20% meat, 20% beans, 10% condiment, 50% rice. Less rice and more than a light sprinkle of condiment would have been a little better. Others were building better burritos. read more

Visiting from San jose where mexican food flows like hot cakes....This place had a good atmosphere....Felt like I was on spring break in Cancun. Well over all its got decent food. Not great but still did the job. Obviously not ran by mexicans or have anything to do with one but had a good experience. Oh ya....they have choco tacos which is awesome. I got a couple carne asada tacos....Meat had little to no flavor but the condiments on it made it pretty good. I would go back again. Would feel more confident about the food if I saw a little old Mexican lady wearing an apron but all I got was a bunch of stoned high school kids wearing stussy.....I think the term Bandito came from the fact they ripped off all other mexican restaurants....But cant expect any less from Redding. Over the years we have stopped by B.B and in the past liked what we have gotten from them but about a year ago we picked up a order and when we got home the meat in my burrito was so salty I had to throw it away. I called and the manager was nice enough to comp us and a week or too went by we stopped again and got burritos and damn if it was so salty I could not eat it. A year went by and my wife stopped by and got us burritos (she forgot the last time and the salt problem) and again so salty we could not eat our food. So that's it no more, and its to bad because other than that over salting their meat the rest of the burrito was good. Try Roqutios next to the flooring store on 273 if you want good burritos and tacos, just sucks they are on 273 and we live east of Palo cedro. Easily my favorite place to stop by for a quick meal. The burritos are BIG but pretty expensive. After I got done studying for the night, I decided to stop by for dinner. I noticed I was being helped by a new guy. He was a nice guy, they always provide quick friendly service. I saw that this burrito was going to be smaller than usual which was a bit of a bummer. Once I got home I noticed the burrito wasn't rolled well. After I rewrapped it turned out to be two thirds that the size than normal. Definitely not worth my nine dollars. read more

First of all, the burritos are massive and I guess some would say that's a good thing, but when the avocado is always rotten on the inside, it ruins the ENTIRE burrito. The tacos are greasy and the meat is incredibly salty. Not to mention that the thing is mainly just tortilla. I'm EXTREMELY disappointed with this establishment. The workers are generally friendly, but some are TOO friendly. The other day I was in there and the (what I think is manager?) was making me very uncomfortable. Walked in around 730 and had to use the restroom before ordering. The side of the restaurant with the bathroom was blocked off with chairs to prevent anyone from sitting in that side of the building. It was my first time here and it took me a while to find the restroom because I searched the open room first. I mean, come on. Who blocks off the direct and only path to the restroom during open business hours? Pretty sure there is some kind of health code issue there. A bit peeved, I ordered a burrito without some included ingredients like sour cream. The person who made my burrito put a very small amount of cheese on it in comparison to the very generous portions of everything else. I asked him to please put more cheese and he told me that he would have to charge me more for it. What? I looked at the light sprinkling of cheese, shook my head and stated that I had requested my meal without sour cream among other ingredients and that I should not have to pay extra for an adequate amount of cheese. He stated that he was sorry but that it was common company policy and that it made no difference. At this point I wanted to walk out and leave my half prepared meal behind. I am still unhappy and discouraged and based on my customer service experience tonight, I doubt that I will be back. My boyfriend loves this place apparently and had much better customer service this evening. He got to choose other ingredients including cilantro, which I love but got none of. Two stars because the portions are huge and my bf would be heartbroken if I left only one star. Fyi If you call but no one answers, it goes to an answering machine with dead air as the greating and no apparent beep to leave the message.
