I was in a bit of a situation, I had leased my vehicle though Butler Ford. I love my car, no problems there. I recently moved to Alaska, before leaving and knowing I had a leased car I contacted Ford Credit and was told that I could easily buy the car in AK no problem. Fast forward a few months to me actually calling about purchasing my leased vehicle after securing a third party loan, and low and behold Ford Credit was wrong and I had to go through the local dealer I had bought the car from. Frustrating. But whatever. Ford Credit hooked me up with "Justin" from Butler Ford who I talked with on the phone 10/24. He told me to text him when the check was on its way from the bank and he would fax me the documents needed to sign. Great. Okay. Check was sent 10/29, text was sent to Justin 10/29. Never received a text back. Called Butler Ford and was sent to a voicemail 11/02. No call back. Called Butler Ford 11/06, they told me they would "page" him, he couldn't come to the phone they asked if I wanted to leave a VM, I said no. Texted Justin again 11/08, no text back. Texted him again today 11/12, this time I got a "?" Attempted calling the number, no response. Called the dealership back again, told me to leave a VM. Called Ford Credit who directed me to Ford Relationship Services who were completely worthless. Told me to keep calling the dealership. So I called back and asked for a manager. Spoke with someone else who got it all sorted I think... he basically laughed off that whoever this "Justin" person hadn't reached out to me in weeks and offered to "harass" him for me. It's been 5 years since our first awesome experience with Butler Ford, since then we have happily leased 3 other cars but this story might top them all. We are accustomed to being completely taken care of in every way when we go to Butler, but this last time they blew the top off the rating system, they might have actually broken it. I'll try to keep it short, but who doesn't love a happy ending? ...this actually happened. 3/8 /2020 It was a Friday, the time had come to turn-in our leased car. With everything going on in the world and the future seeming more uncertain than ever before, my husband and I had declared that we were going to try becoming a one-car family. Well ... this new resolution lasted all of 48 hours because in those two days we had enough scheduling mishaps and frustrations that made becoming a one-car family more of an aspiration than a comfortable reality. It's a good thing I happened to whisper to our beloved sales expert, Rocky, "Just in case", to keep his eye out for a great trade-in that we could buy. Just like a scene in a movie only two days later, and not a minute too soon, Rocky calls to tell us that a trade-in that he thinks we might like just rolled in. So we hustled down to the dealership to see it. He was right, IT was PERFECT. But it's what happened next, where this review goes from great to Flying up into the 10-Star Department! We were all lined up for a loan, but since it was Sunday the Credit Union needed our PIN for one of the Credit Agencies. So we hurried home to our computers to try to obtain the information. We were getting nowhere. But while we were frustrated at home banging our heads against our computer not able to access the information, Butler's enterprising young crack loan specialist, Drew, took the initiative, he went ahead and shopped some other loans and found one that would accept our other credit bureau information AND that institution even offered a better percentage rate for us. By the time we got back to the dealership, the new loan paperwork was ready to sign, eradicating our frustration and saving us money. But wait, there's more. They told us we could have our car in about 3 days. They wanted to completely detail the car for us and do a more thorough inspection for us even though it showed great and had originally been purchased from them with a single owner just 10 years before. The next call we got blew our mind. Well "I have good news and I have bad news." said our super sales guy, Rocky. "The bad news is we found a really bad oil leak that we weren't aware of and it's quite expensive to fix. The good news is we're going to completely handle it, fix the car and repair the brakes making them like new with no charge to you. I'll have the car to you in the next few days." Wow, just WOW. Because the car had such low mileage and was in great shape, I'm sure they hadn't anticipated finding such a leak. So rather than just selling us the car AS is they really went the extra, EXTRA 500 miles and did the right thing, eating the expense to repair the vehicle and completely detailing it, delivering it to us as promised. As you can tell I could write a novel about these guys, where their heads and hearts are at and what they're really willing to do for a customer, but I think you get the idea. Regardless if you want to lease a car, buy a new car, or find some other type of car please don't hesitate to at least visit Butler and give them a chance at your business. I know they'll have our for a really loooooooooooong time. My truck needed immediate service! Mark Retter, the Ford Service manager handled my intake and drop off on Thursday night. On Friday he called with the estimate and it wasn't good news. I had a leaking brake cylinder and a power steering U-joint that was shot. The total parts and labor was above my available Quick Lane credit. I worked on the financing and called Mark back at 4:15pm. Unfortunately, Mark couldn't get the parts ordered past 4pm. I anticipated not having transportation all weekend and no way to get to work, pick up kids etc. Well, Saturday afternoon Mark called and said he had got the parts, the repairs were done and he had saved me some money. Our local locksmith company just drove home in our new service vehicle that we purchased from Butler Ford this week. Our experience could not have been more pleasant. We had our eyes set on the 2015 Ford Transit cargo vans and Rex Cunningham showed us all of our options, and then some! Rex was very knowledgeable about the vehicles on the lot and showed a great deal of respect and kindness towards us while we made our decision. We decided to go with the vehicle and Rex helped us arrange for a sweet Adrian Steel upfit kit to be installed in the service vehicle! When we got to the financing portion of the purchase Rikki helped us navigate the forms and had our back 100% of the way through the credit check. We felt that Rikki was very honest and straight forward about our financing and upgrade options. We never felt pressured into any aspect of the transaction. As I was traveling through Oregon on vacation with my family, my check engine light came on and I had a whistling sound coming from my engine compartment. Prior to the most recent attempted purchase/lease, I had nothing but the best experiences at Butler Ford, nothing at all bad to say about the dealership. We have purchased or leased 3 vehicles in the last 3 years from them. Of course, as the lease on our 2015 F150 was due to expire, we returned to lease or purchase a 2018 F250. Found exactly what we wanted and made arrangements to drop by on Saturday to very likely get that particular vehicle. We've purchased and leased many vehicles, so this was not our first rodeo! Somehow, I think our eagerness/desire led them to underestimate our intelligence! We bust our asses to be able to afford what we want. As well, we have excellent credit. As the numbers were being worked out between our lease turn in and the purchase/lease of the new vehicle, I was appalled by the mere attempt by them to screw us, treating our lease as a trade in. The monthly payment according to their secret math was almost our house payment! I pointed out a couple of times that our existing truck was a LEASE and that there was no depreciation/valuation/pay off amount, yet a large payoff amount was included in the tangled math of both vehicles. We had 3 lease payments of $400 left on our truck, then our only obligation was to drive it in, have it inspected, hand them the keys, that's all. The vehicle still in excellent condition, low miles. No Ford purchase or lease incentives were discussed. I had worked up the numbers prior to our visit, so I knew what the ball park numbers were. They were nothing close to theirs. We were not even in the same ball park, not by a long shot. Despite his attempt to convince us that this transaction was not comparable to any previous transaction we've ever experienced before, he sadly underestimated our intelligence! Never ever in my life will we want something so bad that we're blind to getting ripped off. We decided to visit another area dealership, turned in our lease under the early bird turn in deal, $0 owed. Purchased exactly what we wanted, for what we wanted, as planned, drove it home. Still so disappointed in Butler Ford. As repeat customers, I never expected this. Sadly, inexperienced buyers may have signed on the dotted line and paid the price. read more

I took a used car a lady friend bought from Butler since she paid for unlimited oil changes. It was an older vehicle when she acquired it. All oil changes since purchase were from the dealer. The worker showed me numerous problem and some pretty dirty parts. I requested an estimate, a was told that it would take time and they would contact owner, never did. To top it off, I took the oil cap off to purchase some O rings the week of the oil change and the parts store quizzed me on when was the last change because it was so dirty. I also had some issues with my rental car (I purchased the car from out of state and drove a rental car to pick it up). Enterprise Rent-a-Car directed me to drop off my car at a site that wasn't even open, and said they were going to charge me. My point person Andrew Bechard took care of it. Do not trust FRANK @ Butler Ford (Ashland) to fix your vehicle that has been in an accident! We have a 2009 Hummer H3 and it was parked by Ashland High School (legally parked) when a drunk driver hit our parked vehicle in the rear going at least 40 mph. We had our Hummer towed to Ford and met with FRANK. In person, my husband and I showed him everything wrong with the Hummer: 1-rear driver bumper visual damage 2- inside the back door damage/broken 3- rear back up camera destroyed 4- front drivers side wheel well damage. We walked the vehicle and pointed to the 4 areas and FRANK said he saw all the visible damage we saw. Then.....we picked up the vehicle and #2- inside the back door damage was not repaired AND #4- front driver side wheel well damage was not repaired!!!! Unacceptable! We live over an hour away so we had to bring our Hummer back to FRANK 2 more times, and he did not apologize, he actually argued with my husband and made my husband tell him how the Hummer could have sustained the damage from the accident. Luckily we had taken photos before we moved our parked Hummer (after it was hit) and we AGAIN told FRANK that we told him the 4 original issues (that we visually saw-when we first brought the Hummer to him) and he only fixed 2! We felt as though we were arguing with the insurance company for the at fault person who was drunk and driving and hit our parked vehicle, instead of working with someone who was objective and there to work with us. Plus we showed him this damage and he just 'forgot' about it??? Or decided he didn't want the poor insurance company to have to pay??? Or how about he gets kickbacks... Anyhow, we sent our photos into the insurance company and they of course covered the 2 items FRANK missed and that FRANK made us argue why it should be fixed. Then, later, as we drove the Hummer, when the original gas level (the gas that was in the Hummer when it was hit) began to lower below 1/3rd of the tank, the Hummer stalled. To this day we feel that this was caused from the accident (since we hadn't even driven the Hummer a full tank of gas since it had been fixed by FRANK @ Ford), but when the body shop (Butler Ford/FRANK)is against you, and it is not a visual issue, how do you prove it??? So we took it back into FRANK- 4th time now! And Frank AGAIN argued with my husband about the damage, instead of just checking and seeing what was wrong. I still think he gets kick backs from the insurance companies (check it out on google- its real and happens all the time!). So FRANK sent it over to Chevy next door to have them look at it- that was fine with us (I guess they had the Hummer code reader that Frank did not have)...BUT the issue came when 1 week later, we still had no answer as to what was wrong with our HUMMER (and we had no loaner vehicle and we had to go almost 2 weeks without our Hummer- just for a diagnostic??). FRANK did not seem to be able to get a hold of anyone nor was he able to walk next door to Chevy to find out what was wrong with our Hummer, so on our own, we had to call Chevy and we found out that FRANK again, told lies! Chevy stated, that FRANK told them an entirely different story than what we had told FRANK about this new issue. And, FRANK never called to make sure we got our vehicle or anything- We dropped our Hummer off with FRANK........FRANK took it to Chevy- but it was up to us 2 weeks later to do all the contacting and get our Hummer back, and FRANK never ever called us back!! UNACCEPTABLE!!! I would never bring another vehicle to Butler Ford again! They are crooks and will fight you on getting your vehicle fixed. Our Hummer was parked- a drunk driver hit us, yet FRANK @ Ford made us justify any damage and argued with us and didn't even fix the visual 4 things wrong with the vehicle after we showed him. Being involved in an accident that is not your fault is bad enough to deal with, but when the body shop treats you like a crook and argues with you and ignores you, that is ridiculous. He worked so hard for me especially because I can be especially difficult when it comes to buying a new baby. I had my last one 12 years simply because there wasn't anything on the market I liked. As many cars that my husband wanted me to drive, as many as he showed me, when I saw Bob we fell in love instantly!!! I knew immediately he would protect me from harm. However I had to drive Bertha first. She was the only Black on black Ford Explorer on the lot at the time and she had some paint issue, just sayin. So Craig needed to find Bob. He did. Instant love. There was a 2016 Explorer however as I said this Mama is very very picky and I knew what I wanted wasn't on that lot yet. So phone calls must be made, emails had to be sent and Craig earned his hug of pure delight when I knew my baby was coming home with me.
