So today my friend and I decided to go to lunch at BWP Saratoga to only find a nice dead mouse hanging from the ceiling. Naturally, it was disturbing so we told the waitress and she apologized and was going to alert a manager. After multiple servers and the manager walk by our table to look at the mouse no one stops to apologize. Then the server drops the check and says they took $5 off the bill. We asked to speak to a manager and the manager finally apologized but still only took $5.00 off the check. My friend and I work in a restaurant ourselves and we know a high standard of service. We were not looking for a free meal. We were looking for a sincere apology and for it to be taken seriously and for them to maybe take a little more than our two fountain drinks off the check. And even after we left the mouse was still not removed from the ceiling. read more

So many places to go in Saratoga that are better than BWP. My husband and I went a few days ago and were so disappointed. There were only 4 tables with people when we arrived and only us when we left so it was not busy. Took about 40 minutes to get 2 12" sub par pizzas. Very bland. Bland crust, bland sauce, bland cheese. We agreed frozen pizzas are better. We won't go back. Nice staff. That's all about I can say that was positive. read more

My husband and I moved to the Saratoga springs area from New York City last year. Since we have been here we have been plagued by terrible, in edible pizza. We tried BWP because I was dying for a glass of wine on a Sunday night...and boy am I glad we did! The place itself is spotless- which is a big deal since my hubby is a restaurant contractor. It was equal parts bar as restaurant- PERFECT for people with families who want to unwind. The pizza was outstanding. Hands down the BEST pizza we have had since we left NY. We also split a salad which was very very tasty. We ended up leaving our 6 month olds shoe there, and the manager called us to let us know- people just don't take the time to do that anymore. Kudos to the staff at BWP! We will DEFINITELY be back! read more

Do not have the Ahi Tuna Salad. It was basically a large bowl of greens with a few slices of cucumber and cherry tomatoes. It was topped with very strong tasting tuna. I had to ask for the guacamole, which then arrived in a very small paper cup. Very unpleasant experience. read more

My husband and I went for dinner on a Saturday night. We were greeted right away and the hostess took us to a table. She then told us to wait a minute because they seated someone else at our table. So we just decided to sit down at a empty table in front of us while she went to see what happened. The manager came over and apologized and told us to just stay were we were. So we looked at the menu which had mostly pizza and burgers and a few knife and fork options. We were seated for a while and no one had come to get a drink order. So the manager comes over again and asked if we have been waited on.. We say no and he goes to find a waitress to serve us and apologized AGAIN. We ordered out drink order I got a glass of wine and my husband order a beer. The waitress comes back and says they are out of that beer he ordered. ( shouldn't she have know that before.) so the drink list had been taken since we ordered so my hubby had to basically order a different craft beer blindly.. We got our food we both got chicken sandwiches and we were surprised at how small they were. Just a little bigger than a slider. My husband was still hungry after eating it!! Good thing we got a appetizer of chips and salsa. Overall I don't know that we will revisit. Very bad service. read more

I went to Beer Wine Pizza a few weeks ago and I was definitely not impressed. The food was only okay and the waitress was very rude and disrespectful. I have definitely had way better pizza and service and will only go back if someone is buying my dinner. read more

Stopped in with my Mom for a quick lunch. We both ordered burgers, she got a basic cheeseburger and I got the BBQ Burger. Mine came with an onion ring on it, which I hadn't been expecting, but added a nice crunch to the burger. We both asked for Medium-Well and they hit it on the money. The Saratoga Chips were fantastic and the dipping sauce adds an awesome extra little but of flavor. Our server was polite and attentive. If there was maybe a little delay in the typical speed of service, I generally expect that with sitting outside, and their outside patio was nice enough on such a beautiful day to be worth it. Went to BWP yesterday for the first time. Wanted to share my experience for other perspective customers and in hopes for BWP to make improvements. I arrived at around 7:30PM and sat at the bar. 1 other customer at the bar and a family seated at a table. Waited 10 minutes for service, was about to leave and the manager came over and got me a drink and apologized. They had 4 servers on- all of which were gossiping in the corner. I also ordered the buffalo chicken wontons. They were just okay.. they were very burnt. While I was eating the manager was going off on an employee, so much so he made her cry. I'm sure there was something she could work on however, maybe the conversation could have taken place elsewhere, not behind the bar. The bartender then got me another beer however, she got the wrong beer. I told her that wasn't the beer I had ordered.. she apologized and didn't take the beer back. She then went to the other costumer (another employee off duty) at the bar and continued to gossip about their August schedules, other employees and the manager. Other things I noticed were striking similarities to other bars around the area- specifically the mug club and menu. It's very clear that not much is original here. It seems as though they copy other bars ideas and charge more. I understand a bar is a bar and there not much more you can change but maybe come up with some original ideas. Lastly, I went to go place an order for dinner and the bartender brought over my check and said have a good night. Didn't bother to ask if I wanted anything else. It was clear she just wanted to talk to the other person at the bar. I didn't bother to ask for more food- paid the bill, left a fair tip and went somewhere else for dinner. 2 stars I feel is generous but it was my first time there. Hopefully BWP can change things around. read more

I really want to like this place. The beer selection is good and menu sounds good. First two visits were Just OK. Tonight took over an hour to get our food. My pizza was served cold and had no cheese on it. What? I was so hungry from waiting so long that I ate two pieces before I even realized that's what made it so horrible. I like it here, but I don't love it. The ahi is good. There are many gluten-free options, although i haven't tried many of them. Although the food is good, the environment is off... not fun and lively. It' dull and boring, but good if you want to have conversations. I would recommend this restaurant to people who want to have a quiet dinner with some good food. read more

Do not bother with this place. Worst service ever. Had to ask for drinks. Sat there while tables seated after us received their food. We ordered salads with our meal and they sat on the counter forever. When we asked for them the waitress says, Oh do you want your salads first? Really? Had about two seconds to eat them ( one didn't get hers until after she had eaten her burger ) and there was the dinner shoved in front of you. Except one dinner, which didn't come until everyone else was done ( including desert) and the fish was overcooked! She had to take it home with her. She did get the Saratoga chips, just not the fish part. They didn't charge for the dinner but did charges for the chips? Worst service ever! read more

The owners are great. They take care of their repeat customers. Great service for the first year opened. Meals that are very good are the Chicken and Guacamole Nachos. Best Nachos in town. I do love the Ahi Tuna, where it is cooked right and rare. However, since we have been back, we ordered the Ahi Tuna, it has been over cooked. Wait staff has been kind of slow getting drinks. 20 minutes wait for drinks for a party of 8. It is a convenient place to go when you live in the complex. Some good beers and some good variety. Will not prevent me from coming back. read more

If you LOVE (and I mean really, really LOVE) televisions blaring all around you, this is the place for you! TV and sports is what this restaurant are all about. And the TVs are at a very high volume. We went to have dinner late one afternoon and actually had to leave because the TVs were so loud we could not have a conversation, but I am pretty sure the bored cook in the open kitchen could hear what was happening on the TV. This was our third attempt at this restaurant, and it is definitely our last. The food is ok, but not good enough to overcome the really bad atmosphere. read more

I will say that BWP does have great pizza but terrible customer service. I tried to get a pizza to go and their website said their kitchen was open till 10. I get there at 8:30 and I am told that they are no longer taking orders and are closing for a "private party". If you are going to things like that put it on your website/Facebook pages so that you are closing early the public can get their orders in on time. read more

Its a damn shame what this place turned into. Dear owner!!!! Please hire a staff that can actually check up on your customers and not check up on their facebook status. I swear to god you have hired nothing but children to work in your establishment. My fiancee and I have frequented your place and each time there has been an issue. One time your line cook threw a tantrum, started punching a wall and threatened to walk out. I swear to god that began because of your staffing issues. Another time it took 10 minutes of standing at the door before walking over to the bar and asking is I should just seat ourselves. That was with the place 1/4 full, I would hate to see the wait on a busy day. This time however it took almost 15 minutes our server to come over. It took almost 20 minutes to bring us our drinks, a beer and a soda. Another 20 minutes to bring out a cheese fry app and then 30 minutes to bring our pizza. We sat in your place for over and hour for two drinks, fries and a pizza. WTF this isnt fine dining its pizza and beer. Now some people will say the time on the pizza is not an issue well I will tell them they are wrong for the simple fact that I saw our fucking pizza come up and then just die at the window while our shithead waitress was texting on her phone. I actually got up and approached her while she was standing near our food and asked her when she was going to get around to serving us. I literally wanted to grab the food then. Do you want to know why I knew it was our stuff because we were the only fucking people on the restaurant side that ordered food. The place was completely dead and rightfully so. Don't bother eating here unless you want to waste an hour of your life for mediocre food and horrible service. read more

Something about this place makes me want to like it, but about half the time I eat there I experience mediocrity. They have a great market located among 500 apartments as the closest independent restaurant among a sea of the corporate chain joints nearby. A decent beer selection. Happy hour is marred by the wine by the glass offerings that overlook Cabernet Sauvignon and favor mediocre wines when better quality is available for the same price. Young female bar tenders tend to pay more attention to the "regulars" or cute young guys. The burgers can be really delicious, but then the fry cook serves up under cooked or lukewarm fries. After a while one gets tired of complaining. Who wants to be the guy who is never happy and doesn't want to eat the fries that are so limp they seem to have been just dipped in the fry oil or allowed to sit so long they are no longer hot. Attention to detail is missing. The BWP needs a shake up in the form of someone who notices he details and retrains the staff. Likewise the happy hour. Why can't it be more like Wheatfield's? The claim to fame are pizzas that are small for the price and not all that great. The pizza chef needs to taste some really good wood fired pizza to compare. Try Genarro's wood fired pizza for flavor, dough and sauce quality. I leave this restaurant every other time thinking I need to give them another few months to get their act together.
