Nashvylle Sandwich and Fries $14.99 (April 2025)
    Erik G.

From April 2025 What We Ordered: -Byrd Bomb (Mild) $15.99 -Single Nashvylle Sandwich Hot $11.99 -Nashvylle Sandwich & Fries $14.99 We were looking for some food after drinks at Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar and stopped at Byrd's Hot Chicken on our way back to the hotel. You order at the kiosk and wait for your food. The customer service was somewhat lacking. We weren't acknowledged, and there was no indication when our food would be ready. The restaurant was oddly quiet, even though we could see them preparing our food, and service was slow, despite the restaurant not being busy. I had hoped they would let us know when our food was ready, but communication was poor. The Mild Nashville Sandwich was a pretty good hot chicken sandwich, not better than Howlin' Rays, but just as good as Dave's Hot Chicken. The Byrd Bomb was great too; shredded hot chicken covered in a special sauce over fries - surprisingly good! Don't sleep on Byrd's Hot Chicken!

We've been here a few times, the very first time we tried this place we were surprised at how good it was. It was a biger portion last year if I remember correctly, we always get the street bomb which is good enough for 2 people. But now, portion is smaller but same price. Still good, but wish it was the same bigger portion.

When you enter, the menu is displayed on the screens and you order on a tablet. The service was quick and the food was hot even after the walk back to the hotel. I got a medium spice Nashvylle and fries. The heat, I think, was more than a medium but if you eat with the bun and coleslaw it helped with the heat. I really enjoyed the sandwich. The chicken was crisp and juicy. It is a messy eat so be careful especially when eating on a hotel bed.

As a lover of fried chicken, I can say that this place did not disappoint. I ordered a chicken sandwich and Dale, the owner, kindly substituted the buns for cabbage and homemade coleslaw. You can tell he really cares about his customers by the way he communicates to them about spice level and preference. I asked him to make my chicken extra spicy and he did! The chicken tenders were crisp and hot. The tomatoes, cabbage, and fries helped to cut the spice nicely. Everything paired nicely with the chipotle mayo and ketchup provided. The music made for a nice, casual vibe as well. Thanks for the great experience! :)

Was in the area and decided to stop for a chicken sandwich! I also got their burger fries and they were pretty good. It did take a while to get my food yet the chicken sandwhich didn't really taste fresh. Everything else was pretty good.

Crispy, juicy, and DELICIOUS. And if you like tangy and sweet add honey mustard. Sometimes simple ingredients make for the best food. According to Husband the medium Nashville chicken was the perfect amount of heat. I can't do spicy, so I couldn't steal a bite. So I'll have to take his word for it.

Actually a bit torn between 4 and 5 but because of how Yelp rating works in America giving a 5. The reason being price. 13.99 is a lot for a chicken sandwich and fries. It is halal, overall inflation, hcol and tourist area so it makes sense but it still hurts the walle. Chicken was well cooked, not dry, and crispy. Definitely had a kick but not overly strong.

I paired it with their warmed chocolate croissant, which was flaky, buttery, and the perfect complement to my drink. The café itself is cute, welcoming, and conveniently located along a main street on the ground floor of an apartment complex, with street parking available nearby. It stayed consistently busy during my Thursday morning visit, so it can get pretty lively and a bit noisy. If you're planning to study or work, there are plenty of outlets, which is a huge plus. Just keep in mind that most of the tables are fairly low and small, so I found the bar seating to be the most comfortable option for getting work done. The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. They made sure to acknowledge everyone entering the cafe, even during the rush, and were happy to answer any questions about their drinks. Overall, I think this cafe is definitely worth checking out. Whether you're meeting up with friends or just looking for a cozy place to spend an hour or two, it's a great spot for a casual hangout.

The shop sells various cute pins, stickers, and sealed packs for trading card games such as Magic The Gathering. The shop hosts local Pokemon and Magic The Gathering tournaments. There are various board games for customers to enjoy and there is even a mini mahjong set. Visitors can sign up on the website for gaming table reservations (minimum is 2 people and max is 16). Customers can also rent a portable charger here. [Menu]: Yelp's top recommended drinks include the Health Potion (Desert Pear Lemonade), Stamina Potion (Lychee Lemonade), and Mana Potion (Lavender Lemonade). The cafe also sells chicken nuggets, fries, bagels, sundaes, and alcoholic drinks (21+). *** Health Desert Pear ($4.95): The drink was ready within a minute and it was a fruity lemonade. Lemonade has never been my jam, but the drink was not bad. *** A solid 3.5-star on lemonade with a bump up for the vibe. The girls behind us were given a sign to say they were the end of the line and even then a completely different employee had to announce to us all that they had just let the last group in and if we were still in line none of us were going inside. We aren't even sure that this person was a Requiem employee and not just someone like a volunteer helping out with the event as when we tried to ask questions they kept telling us they didn't know as they didn't work inside. This isn't even the first time this has happened at a Requiem special event. As seen in other one star reviews and even my own personal experiences they have somehow never learned from their mistakes and refuse to do anything to make these special events easier for attendees. It would be one thing if they were still a small independant cafe who had never done something like this before but they regularly work with big name fandoms and do official collabs with things like Undertale and Digital Circus. There is no excuse at this point for them to be so incompetent when it comes to line management and getting people in and out who get stuck waiting outside for hours. Also I'm pretty sure this is the owner sitting at the register and playing games while the other employee had to be the one to break the bad news to us.

I asked which matcha was good or popular and she just said "all of them." I'm not picky but it's an honest question for being a first timer. I ended up getting two different drinks but didn't really want to stay there any longer than I had to because of the unwelcoming feeling. Don't know if it was the uniform or not. The drinks were good but the matcha was all milk, hardly and matcha flavor. I wanted hot but came cool. I didn't want to request it to be heated up just incase they wanted to do something to my drink. Don't know if I would go here again. I've been to another location and did not have this experience.
