An unforgettable experience at one of the best waterfront restaurants I've ever been to. We wanted to grab a great oceanview table outdoors and made a reservation at 11:30am when it opened. But even by the time we got there right at 11:30, there were only two tables left right by the ocean! Thankfully, we got one! Outdoor dining (despite setbacks by COVID) is absolutely amazing: there's a heater at every table for the nighttime but for those going during a hot sunny day in the day, there's a blind you can pull down to block out the sun. The service was amazing! The waitress and the waiters were all very kind, checking in on us whether we needed anything consistently throughout the meal. Sometimes they even predicted what we needed before we knew ourselves and brought it to our table. Now the food! So I usually tend to go to waterfront restaurants mostly for the view and expect a mediocre or below par food quality. However, the food here was surprisingly delicious. The ahi tuna stack with taro chips were the perfect amount of tangy and flavorful (with its sauce). It was a nice compliment to the creamy seafood pasta which had so many different types of seafood from scallops to shrimp to octopi in a pesto sauce. I also loved the calamari because it came with a sauce that was ACTUALLY spicy (A rare find)! My brother got the burger which he finished in big gulps, so I can only assume it was delicious. Lastly, for the drinks, we got the desi arnaz (a mango rum mojito) and enjoyed that... a little too much, perhaps! We are bummed we couldn't try the dessert due to how full we were, but this is such a gem in the Harbor Island area of San Diego. I had been wanting to go to C Level for a couple years. It gets amazing reviews, and I wanted to check the amazing views I kept reading about. The views did not disappoint. Definitely worth going back for those waterfront and city scape views. Would be an amazing date night location. The food was not super memorable to be honest. We went with a. large group, and I think most of us agreed the food was "okay". I don't even remember what I ordered. But, the views might make up for that and I could see myself coming back again to give the place another chance. read more

Happy hour is the BOMB! Great discount on food, very nice view and good service. Came here one weeknight for happy hour and we got a table on the outside covered patio. There were heaters attached to the ceiling and we were very warm and cozy outside. The happy hour menu had a lot of options and the prices were very reasonable compared to regular prices. We ordered a whole bunch of items to share. Calamari, Fried Brie, coconut shrimp were all very tasty. In addition, we ordered the ahi tuna tower and the lobster BLT from the dinner menu. The ahi tuna tower was terrible, the only bad dish we got. Fish was a bit stale and stringy, not good quality. The BLT however was amazing, the lobster bisque soup dip was out of this world. My advice, skip the tuna and get the BLT. Service was nice and friendly. Parking was pretty easy. read more

This is in the same building as Island Prime. Make sure that if you make a reservation that you ensure it is for C Level and not for Island Prime. We went on a Sunday night and it was not too busy. We got a table with a great view of the harbour and Coronado Bridge. It was very dark in the restaurant though. We ordered the ahi, crab and avocado stack. It was ok as it was lacking a little flavour but the seafood was fresh. We also had the lobster and fontina BLT which was excellent and had loads of lobster and was so tasty. This is a must order when coming to this restaurant. The catch of the day was ok and wasn't anything special. I came here on a Thursday for a late lunch (2pm-ish). There weren't a LOT of people but our party still ended up waiting 30 minutes to an hour because we wanted to be seated by the window. We probably won't do that again, but the hostess was nice and tried to get us seated as soon as possible. We ordered the everything crusted ahi, the lobster mac and cheese, and the C level burger. While everything was most definitely not cheap, the food was yummy. I give 4 stars instead of 5 though because I feel like it could be a bit higher in quality for the price you pay. The tuna, although seasoned nicely, did not seem very high quality. And the lobster mac and cheese gets very heavy after the first few bites. For me, the highlight of the food that day was the black rice that comes with the ahi tuna. It was so delicious! Overall though, if you're looking for a place with a nice view and don't mind dishing out a few extra bucks, it's a nice restaurant for a date spot. read more

This is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants to have lunch at and to dine with clients. These clients came to spend 3 days with me looking for a home. They came from Chicago relocating to La Jolla. I was dropping them off so that they could catch a shuttle to the airport. What a wonderful day, great food and good company absolutely love C level. If you haven't been, I would highly encourage you to go it's really a pleasant atmosphere. The ambience is good. Came here at 2 for reservations on a Thursday and it was my first time eating here. The building is beautiful with a gorgeous view of the water. Love that they asked if we preferred a table outside or inside. (Personally I think the inside table by the water is better). The have parking for free right in front of the restaurant which is a plus in that area. Service was good and lunch was reasonably priced. Seafood pasta was $28 and blackened shrimp tacos $20. The food came out quick and was well seasoned. I would come back for the food alone, but the view makes it that much better. read more
