The first thing of note are the views ! They are amazing. This place gives rooftop lounge vibes with mostly couches and tables and a few table top seating options. They also have a full bar in the middle of the restaurant. The staff was friendly and the food was good. We ordered wings, oysters which come with this amazing strawberry type vinaigrette, and the lobster and crab sliders. I will say the sliders do need some type of aioli or sauce but other than that the flavor was good. We went during the week on a Monday around 330pm and it wasn't crowded at all but based on location and scene it probably gets crowded on the weekends and at night.

If you're looking for a sunny rooftop with great food and amazing waterfront views, Topsail is for you! I passed this place by chance will vacationing in San Diego. Let's get into the specifics. Food This place has fair portioned meals and appetizers, perfect for when you want a bite of food but not something super large. I ended up getting their wings with this special sauce. I was cautioned that many don't enjoy the sauce so I got it on the side. It ended up being pleasant! 4/5 Service Our server was amazing. J unfortunately don't remember her name but she asked us what type of vibe we were looking for and recommends drinks to match it. I got this frozen drink that perfectly offset the hot weather and had me slightly turnt. 5/5 for knowing how to connect with patrons! Ambiance Again, the waterfront views are second to none, and since this restaurant is on the second floor, we got to experience the San Diego bay from a better vantage point! We just felt uncomfortable with the sun and cool breeze! 5/5 All in all, I give this place a 5/5 would recommend!

My favorite place to dine in San Diego while waiting for the local dinner cruise or Disney cruise to begin. The restaurant is located next to the pier. The price is reasonable with big portions as well. My favorite is the pork belly tacos! Our waiters were very friendly and attentive. We added more people to our table and they were very accommodating. This is the place to be!

Passed by this location while walking along the ocean front, and decided to grab some drinks and hang out for a bit. It was a Sunday afternoon, went up the stairs and was seated right away. Only about three other parties were there. Was seated right in front of the ocean view. Beautiful patio seatings with a perfect view. The service was tentative and quick. For the drinks, ordered an Old Fashion and one of their holiday drink, Gingerbread Eggnog. Surprised with the Gingerbread Eggnog served in a dog mug, so cute! Both the drinks were delicious and perfect for the view ahead of us. Had the Pork Belly Banh Mi Bao Buns as the only food ordered. It was yummy to the tummy, bursting with flavors. Fantastic experience overall.

Had a great time at Topsail with a group of friends. The moment you walk in, you're greeted with stunning views of the water that make the whole dining experience feel special. The seating is comfortable while enjoying the scenery while you eat. The service was great, our servers were attentive without being overbearing, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. We ordered a variety of dishes, and every single one was delicious. Definitely worth a visit if you're in San Diego!

Loved the ambiance here. We sat up on the rooftop and loved the warm fireplace on a chilly night. I tried a seasonal cocktail and forget its name.. but it was delicious. It was like a minty mocha and I was a big fan. I'll be back to enjoy some grub as well in the near future. Would be a great date night.

We ordered a dozen of oysters, and they all came detached and dead. Few of them were definitely not fresh, showing yellow and brown colors and one with some odd odor. It was very disappointing for a seafood restaurant.

We got a little hungry and needed a snack. This was a surprise find since we intended to go to the restaurant downstairs because the offered happy hour. We didn't want to embarrass ourselves and just stuck here when we found out they don't have a happy hour menu. My hubby ordered a beer and we shared a flatbread. It was super windy sitting by the water but the views are beautiful. At the time, they had their heaters on which made sitting outside comfortable. The flatbread was plenty to share between two people. We didn't want to eat anything heavy since we were due for dinner in a few hours. I do wish there was some sort of pickled veggies on top since everything was sweet. The balsamic glaze was definitely on the sweet side. The dough was yummy though.

Food & drink: good food, more of a tapas place than a full dinner entree. Drinks are strong. Good selection of cocktails and beer. Service: service was a little bit slow but polite. It would not prevent me from going back. Ambiance: good vibes. Good first date spot. Make a reservation if you want an oceanside table.

Been here a bunch of times. It's on the pricier side, but it is also located right on the water. Great ambiance and a great place to catch up with friends and catch sunset. Most of the plates can be shared, if you like trying a little of everything. The lobster sliders and the Brussels are great. So are the crab cakes

One of the best views in the city with delicious eats! My family and I went here to eat before my sisters flight at SAN. Located on top of Brigantine Seafood & Oyster Bar on port side pier. This space has wonderful views of SD best and the San Diego airport. The service and ambiance is wonderful. The staff is attentive and heaters are located throughout to keep you warm on a chilly day whilst not compromising the fresh air. All the food is delciously proportioned and great for a quick bite. I highly recommend the flatbread!

There is a roof. If it's a rain drizzling, it maybe doable. Mostly, customers go there for the sunsets.

The inside is gorgeous and there's a spot especially for dogs outside. Their outdoor seating with patio is beautiful! This place is absolutely divine! At this point, I dont really care about how the food tastes. Lol! Let's start off with the one problem i had with this place. The parking!!! It took me 20m to find parking and im not about to park my car on the street. I have precious dogs! Lol kidding. I just couldn't find any parking on the street or in the block! I suppose i came during lunch which is probably really busy. When I left, there were quite a few opened parking spots. This place is connected to an apartment complex surrounding retail stores. The leasing building is right next to Gravity Heights. I used to rent a 4k+ a month apartment in a retail area and let me tell you, its a hassle to find parking and not take a retail parking spot without having your complex email you everyday about your car potentially being towed lol! I understand this pain. Now that we are past that, let's get to why this place deserves 5 stars. The service is excellent! My server came around at the perfect times and they seem to really care if I enjoyed my meal! The stellar atmosphere with attentive service is enough for me! I got a gravity burger protein style which I dont think did the burger justice. I was going to eat with my husband later at a Vietnamese restaurant and I can only choose one carb for the day. My diabetic life is tough! Lol. I chose the Cesar salad to go with my burger. My burger was delicious bc of the caramelized onions. I didn't really taste a sauce in the burger but the excellent bacon with the much needed caramelized onions made the burger fantastic! The IPA hazy beer i had with my meal was also light and mellow. I thoroughly enjoyed my time and meal. My babies also enjoyed their burger! The weather was perfect today and it was a nice time and to think I was not going to eat here bc the parking definitely was a huge deterrent. Next time ill bring human company!

The salad came with tender chunks of chicken, a small amount of feta cheese, and zesty dill cucumbers, The avocado and radishes were nice, but I wish the salad came with more of the crispy chickpeas. They were great! I need to get a side of them next time. My friend stated his pizza was very good. He liked that the whole garlic cloves the pizza came with were roasted to a soft edible texture. The pizza did look quite good. Gravity Heights is a great place for large parties or a casual date. There's plenty of inside and outside seating.

The only Phil's I knew at that point pertained to coffee. Lol. Not being a huge meat eater, I was kind of standoff-ish about the idea but since the establishment is known for being a staple visit whenever people come to SD, I had to do it. The 17K+ reviews and the 4.5 star solid rating also helped with that decision. Known for their slow cooked meats and their large portions, Phil's BBQ is a casual dining experience where you get a combo of self serve and attentive service from the staff- all rolled into one. Our family of 3 arrived for a late lunch. The meal consisted of: *BABY BACK RIB + CHICKEN DINNER $25.99 -paired with potato salad + sweet baked beans *BBQ WINGS- 10ct $11.95 *SAUSAGE LINK $4.99 *COLOSSAL ONION RINGS $9.99 *LARGE SIDE: STEAMED VEGGIES $4.75 * FOUNTAIN DRINKS $3.49/each Ribs and chicken were good. These meats were cooked perfectly- lathered in sauce and very tender. The wings were good and had a light kick to it- nothing to bat an eye over for us adults but a lot of soda breaks were needed for my toddler. Beans were delicious but the potato salad wasn't a fave. The onion rings were the biggest letdown- these were massive in size but so very dry and overly crunchy. This order essentially went untouched after a few bites. the hot link was delicious and the veggies were made well but bland. 3.5 stars for the food but because this review is specifically dedicated to Kira, it's automatically a FIVE!!!! This young lady truly made our visit to Phil's BBQ 100% memorable and very much enjoyed. Service doesn't get any better than what she's offering and her warmth provided to the patrons are unmatched!
