My boyfriend and I stayed at the Hoxton Hotel for our LA trip and decided to dine here for dinner as it was conveniently located on the rooftop of the hotel. We arrived around 5:30 PM on a Sunday without a reservation, but we were immediately seated upon arrival. The ambiance was relaxing and calm with a resort-like interior. Our server was attentive, yet very respectful of our private space and time, which we greatly appreciated. We never felt rushed, and were able to enjoy the relaxing time. Here is our order: Chicha No Nada with Pisco: A very refreshing drink! Adding pisco was a right choice, making it a perfect cocktail to start off the vacation. Bass Ceviche: A great Peruvian-inspired dish! Highly recommend adding the crispy quinoa crusts for additional $3. Wood-fired Skirt Steak: This dish is very similar to Lomo Saltado, which is our favorite Peruvian dish. Steak was cooked to perfection. Yuca Fries: This dish was very interesting, featuring chorizo, yuzu-cilantro, pickled ajis, and cotija. It was delicious and perfect as a side dish. While the food was excellent, the portions were quite small for dishes that are "meant to be shared" as descrived by our server. Albeit this, our dine-in experience was very positive and enjoyable overall.
We had an 8:00 PM reservation at Cabra but didn't get seated until 8:50 PM. Thankfully, the managers were incredibly kind and took great care of us, which helped ease the long wait. Once we were seated, everything from that point on was spot on. We ordered the chicken empanadas, yuca fries, kingfish tiradito, and crispy pork, every single dish was packed with flavor and beautifully executed. The kitchen really knows what they're doing. Our server was also an absolute gem, super sweet, fun, and attentive throughout the night. Even though the delay was frustrating, the food and the service made up for it.
Food, service, ambiance were all on point. As a guest staying at the hotel, this was a convenient, relaxing, and delicious treat. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates top quality, clean, Peruvian cuisine. Try the skewers, you'll thank me later.
Executive summary: amazing. This Peruvian inspired restaurant on top of the Hoxton hotel was the best surprise at the end of our California wine tour, and not because of wine. Crispy Pork Shank was amazing at night, and in the Picknick doggie bag the next day. We should have gone lighter on the other dishes, but no regrets. Bass Ceviche, quinoa & beet salad, and crispy broccoli were a wonderful combo. After wine tasting all week, Julian harvest cider and pisco sour made helped great palate cleansing. The beautiful rooftop location and wonderful service made us repeat offenders on our second night at the Hoxton.
This place was a surprise dinner spot for a special day, and it turned out to be such a great experience! We got seated on the rooftop next to a little pool since there was a big group inside, but honestly, I loved it--amazing views up there. We ordered at the bar and they brought everything out to us. I had the wood-fired skirt steak and the Jalea Mixta--both were so flavorful and just hit the spot. It was a beautiful night overall. I'd definitely recommend this place for special dinners. Try going around golden hour--you'll get gorgeous photos and then enjoy the city lights after the sun goes down.
On the rooftop of The Hoxton is this wonderful Peruvian restaurant. Their indoor outdoor seating is split with the beautiful pool deck offering beautiful views of DTLA city scape. We made reservations and were promptly seated. You can tell it gets more loud and lively longer into the night. Plates are tapas styled and filled with so much flavor. Every dish was incredible. Wood fired skirt steak was our favorite along with the chicken skewers. Something in the marinade and sauce that gave it a kick. Looking forward to coming once summer weather hits to fully take advantage of those views.
Great view of downtown LA! Their dishes are tapa style and truly flavorful, The salmon ceviche was great. The steak skewers were yummy, the empanadas were a bit dry and too much dough. They had this amazing dish of cauliflower (forgot the name) but wooow! The most Flavorful veggie plate i ever had. Highly suggested if you are around DTLA.
Really enjoyed it. Went here to celebrate my birthday and had a lovely time. The food was really original, with interesting twist on Peruvian food. Our server, Courtney, was amazing. She asked immediately if we had any dietary restrictions and when we informed her one of our party had a gluten allergy, she brought out a menu that she had specifically marked. She was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to ensure the items we ordered were gluten free. We had the ceviche, the tiradito, the choclo, the yuca fries, the pork shank, and cauliflower and everything was delicious. I was offered a yummy complementary dessert and the view was pretty great too.
My favorite food experience in 2025 thus far! I spent my birthday here with a total of 8 people. It was such an enjoyable experience, their service was accomodating, fast and friendly. The food was phenomenal that it was hard to pick favorites. The semi-outdoor seating was warm enough for a winter night. Ambiance is warm lighting with hip decor. The food is tapa style so our table ordered a couple. The crowd favorite and I think are a must were the Bass Ceviche and Tuna&Tots. I think you can never go wrong especially the dishes are by Chef Stephanie Izard. The dishes are more Peruvian inspired but as someone who loves Peruvian food, I enjoyed them. The Papa Huancaina paired so well with dishes, just the right amount of crisp with the potatoes and the sauce wasn't too overwhelming. There is valet parking at the Hoxton but also plenty of parking garages around. I can't wait to come back! Note: if you have a party of 9 or more, you're required to do their pre-fixe.
Why was I so late to the party? Came here to hang out and try a "new spot" and soooooo do recommend! Servers were very attentive and quick with food and drinks. Ambiance is great as well, sitting on the rooftop of the The Hoxton hotel. If you want to impress make reservations here for an evening of great food and drinks with an amazing view. Side note, all menu items are Peruvian influenced and if you have any good allergies let your server know!! Otherwise, sit down, relax and enjoy!
Buddy of mine suggested we come here for rooftop view, food and drinks and loved it! What a beautiful venue and loved being on the rooftop. Food was delicious, staff were very accommodating and the catch up with friends was wonderful! Definitely come hang out here when in town, this hotel rooftop is great!
Food: Chicken Thigh Skewers - 10/10 Juicy and tender chicken (three 1" pieces of chicken per skewer) with a yummy peanut sauce Crab Causa - well balanced textures 8/10 Wood Fired Skirt Steak 7/10 steak (about four 2" pieces) was nice and juicy but there was just too much sauce Yuca Fries - 10/10 must try crunchy steak cut fries w/ chorizo Papas Huancaina - 10/10 must try also cruchy smashed potato with cheese portion size: It is not shareable. Please get your own entree or a bunch to share. The potatoes are somewhat shareable. service: Our waiter was nice. the overall service was really really slow and uncoordinated. We had like entrees come out and then all the sides showed up. So if you can as you put in your order just ask for things to come out in pairs entree + side unless you like eating just your protein. Id say service was 3.5/5 Ambiance: great for any group. They have good vibes flowing with chill music and mood lighting. It does have a reclining pergola. So if you get chilly bring a light jack or pashmina. Parking: Valet, street or garages nearby. Payment: apple pay and card are both options. not sure about cash
An absolute gem! When you walk in, you'll need to go to the elevator and hit R for the rooftop. They have an outdoor area and an indoor area. We opted for indoor since it was cold but still beautiful since it is enclosed by glass. Everything we ordered was delicious. It is made to share so the server recommends 3-4 dishes for 2 people - the perfect amount. She was great. My absolute favorite was the chorizo and queso dip which came with a pita. So simple sounding but the texture was phenomenal. It's like they whipped air into the cheese and the chorizo and pistachios gave it a nice balance of texture. The salmon ceviche was also delicious - very flavorful, fresh, and a zing in the mouth. Second favorite. The seabass is third - cooked well and loved the crunchy quinoa but it was very salty. The empanada was my least favorite but I appreciated there was a lot of meat in the puff pastry. For dessert, Sticky toffee pudding was good but lacked toffee - needs more! I never really come to DTLA so I'm glad this is where we ended up. A favorite spot in the area for sure.
I've had the pleasure of coming to Cabra LA twice so far and had a great experience both times! It was very easy to make online reservations by visiting their website within a day. However, if you make reservations, they do take your card in case you cancel last minute. If you're planning on having an early dinner before 6pm, then I probably wouldn't bother making reservations online. You can probably show up as a walk-in. The restaurant is at the rooftop of The Hoxton Hotel and they offer valet parking at the hotel's entrance, but you can also try finding parking at closeby lots around the block on Broadway. The parking lot is about $10-20, depending on the time of the day. Once you get out of the elevator, make a right to find the hostess table to check you in. The restaurant is divided into two areas, one side has open and not covered seating and bar area and another side has semi-covered seating. It does get a breezy at night, so I would recommend bringing a jacket to cover up for dinner. Bring a sunhat if you also get sunburned easily. I really enjoyed all the dishes! This was my first time trying Peruvian -fusion food. I really liked how every dish had a mix of textures and really brought about all the different flavors. My favorite dish is the Tuna and Tots, it's a must-order! read more

Definitely the cutest spot for date night or girls night out, rooftop - either enclosed or open air/bar. Personally, I preferred the enclosed area (roof above my head), dimmer lights, more spacing between tables. The open air/bar, we took a peek of it after dinner, and it looked more crowded. Of course, I arrived earlier, got seated and started on drinks. The cocktails!!!! They were so good. Well balanced cocktails, definitely strong drinks. I got Pass the Honey and Tropical Cure. Bestie haven't arrived yet, so I decided it's time to order food. It was the last day for DineLA, the temptation was real, but I wasn't hungry enough to eat everything. So, I just ordered a few dishes. Recommended Yuca Fries Chicken Thigh Skewers It's was okay- nothing much to remember Bass Ceviche Definitely will return to try out the other items on the menu. Came here during for DineLA for the Fall. There is valet parking but we didn't wanna pay so we circled out around and found free street parking about a 6 min walk away so not too bad. The restaurants is on the rooftop so we took an elevator up. It was very busy when we went cuz even tho we had a reservation it was still a 15 min wait before we got seated. Of course we went with the DineLA menu. The concept was small plates so we had a few choices and options but we went with the below and I've rated each dish: Avocado Dip (3.5/5): this was ok, not much avocado flavor Bass Ceviche (4/5): very good! Love the leche de Tigre sauce but wish it came with some chips to dip it in. We actually used the chips that came with the avocado dip but it was such small amount. Chicken thigh skewers (4.5/5): loved the char on this and it was super juicy! Peanut sauce was tasty as well! Chorizo skewers (4/5): this was good too but not as tasty as the chicken. It had a nice char as well. Wood-fired skirt steak (5/5): absolute star of the night! This plate was pretty much licked clean by the time we were done. The steak had a great sear but still a tender and juicy medium rare. Those house potato tots were also incredible. But that sauce, I wish I could buy a bottle of it. Wood-fired sprouted cauliflower (2.5/5): cauliflower is not my favorite veggie and I felt like it was a little burnt so had a bitter flavor. It was also too plain on its own. Would not order this again. Picarones (4/5): great way to end the night with these donuts! Loved the dulce de leche sauce. Definitely would come back again and DineLA was a great way to try out different dishes and pretty good deal ($65/pp before tax and tip) for what you get. I wish service identified what the dishes were when it was served cuz it was out of order from the menu and we kind of had to guess unless it was obvious. read more
Cabra is one of my top places for those skyline and rooftop sunset views in DTLA. What's better? Amazing food with their mesmerizing view. I came to Cabra a few times and came to celebrate a friend's birthday this time. We made a reservation for a Friday night and it was the perfect time to catch the sunset. It is definitely one of my favorite restaurants from Chef Stephanie Izard's creations. -- Limorange You Did [5/5]: I love citrusy cocktails so this was perfect for me. -- Avocado Dip [3/5]: I thought that this dip did not really impress me, it was lacking avocado flavors. -- Hot Chorizo & Queso Dip [5/5]: SO FLAVORFUL. This dip came out piping hot with taro chips, plantain chips, and flatbread. The flatbread is so good and soft! It reminded me of a chili con queso dip. -- Tuna & Tots [5/5]: I love that they added quinoa to this dish for that extra crunchiness. The tuna did not have any fishy taste to it, which was great. -- Quinoa Beet Salad [5/5]: YUM. SO REFRESHING. The quinoa had a nice crunch to it. It was immaculate and all the flavors paired so well together. I always think about Cabra's quinoa beet salad and it is one of my must-order items at Cabra. I usually do not order salads at restaurants, but this one is a MUST. -- Chicken Thigh Skewers [5/5]: The aji panca sauce on top of the chicken thigh skewer was delicious. -- Roasted Mary's Half Hen [3/5]: I thought that the chicken was a bit dry. -- Wood-Fired Skirt Steak [4/5]: The steak was tender and cooked perfectly. -- Wood-Fried Cauliflower [3/5]: The cauliflower had a tangy taste to it. I came here on a Friday night for dinner, and Cabra is pretty packed. I definitely recommend making a reservation. Cabra sits on the roof of a hotel, and it has half windows overlooking LA, so there's peaks of a nice view and would be cute for a date. This is a spot where you share food, and you should order about 2-3 dishes per person. It definitely does add up, and I personally didn't feel very full after the meal either, but I think it's something you expect at a place like this. The portions for all the dishes are really small, smaller than some other tapas spots I've been to. We ordered the salmon cevechi, Ricotta dip, chicken empanada, tuna tots, calamari, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, skirt steak, and picarones for dessert. Everything was pretty good, except the chicken empanadas were a bit dry and the brussel sprouts were really really salty. The ricotta dip and calamari were standouts for me though. Service is friendly and fairly prompt, and there's a $8-10 parking lot nearby. read more

We loved our rooftop dining experience here during the DineLA and my birthday celebration. As soon as we checked in we knew we were going to have a great time. Friendly servers and super attentive throughout the night. The drinks were on the sweeter side but still good. Now let's talk about the food, everything was yummy. Based on the dinela menu I ranked the following from the yummiest to the least. Oh my goodness, this has probably got to be my favorite LA spot. I'm a sucker for rooftop restaurants with a view, but this place exceeded my expectations. The food is delicious, the view is great, the vibes are fun, and the drinks are yum! The service is good, not great, but it's almost as if super great and attentive service would make the place feel pretentious. It just feels casual and fun and like you're just living life without a care in the world. The waiter suggested 4-5 items per couple, but I honestly think that was a lot. We started with the whipped ricotta spread with crab. I expected little wow factor, but when I actually ate it with the bread.... I LOVED it. I wish there was more bread so I could just go to town. Can we please add one more bread? I thought that nothing could beat that but the salmon hand roll party was SO good. It's funny because I've eaten so much sushi and tried so many omakase spots that I doubted a Peruvian place could make a hand roll well. I was wrong. The salmon mix was so good and creative, and the nori was actually CRISPY!!! My biggest gripe is low quality nori that gets overly soggy OR it's so crispy that it crumples from being roasted too much. This seaweed was a perfect texture. (I know it's silly to care this much about nori, but I talk about that super often). Tuna & tots were good for sure, but the salmon...... unbeatable for starter. What's really funny is that it actually got better. The chicken skewers were the best thing we had. My friend recommended this place and the steak, but I wanted these skewers and I'm so happy I had it. I got so full that I had one bite of the jalea mixta. I can't speak much of it. This place had excellent views of course it's on a rooftop. It was fairly quiet on Wednesday night. The servers were attentive and always visible. The bar is open with lots of options. The menu was interesting for a change of flavors and all the food style so bring a friend or if you're in town for some meetings upstairs for a nice evening Food adventure, but make sure it's a night. The air quality is good and the temperature is not too chilly because it can be a wind up there. Enjoy. read more

I am a huge fan of Girl and the Goat, so when I heard that there was a sister restaurant to it, I knew I had to try. Not to mention, it is a rooftop resturant, pool, and bar that overlooks the pretty DTLA. It is located ontop of the Hoxton Hotel. Hotel has very easy valet parking but if you do not want to pay for it, there is street parking or parking garages all around! I came here for a celebration and the waiter was very patient and recommended us some delicious bites that did not disappoint! For food, we ordered the crab causa, skirt steak, and mussels -- all of which were INCREDIBLE. Food are in portions that are shareable so I recommended ordering 3-4 dishes to try! For drinks, we ordered some wine while after dinner, we scooted to the bar area for some drinks while chilling by the pool. Everyone was helpful, friendly, and accomodating which made our experience 10 times more enjoyable! read more
Went to Cabra for dinner and had a nice experience. Cocktails (3/5): just ok. Beef Empanadas (5/5): solid appetizer, very flavorful. Salmon Ceviche (3.5/5): good, but nothing special. Jalea Mixta (4/5): tasty calamari appetizer. Salmon Handoll Party (4/5): interesting take on handrolls, enjoyed the texture. Overall it's a nice rooftop restaurant to check out if you're craving Peruvian food. read more

Booked a reservation to watch the sunset and enjoyed our seats and view without people blocking us. We shared Beef Empanadas - loved how flaky they were! Tuna & Tots - super flavorful and I haven't had anything like it! Crispy Pork Shank - my goodness! it was the first thing i thought about the next morning! the piece was HUGE and it was fun breaking into the skin -- it was soo soo tender with the right amount of fat. it was perfect! Our server was very friendly and helpful in giving his opinion for our dishes! Parking: I was prepared to do valet but there was a line of cars doing so and I was going to swing back around but ended up seeing the public parking sign at Broadway Palace for $15 (whole day). This restaurant is near my work and I suggested it for my birthday dinner with the hubby! He made a ressie for the outdoor seating at 6pm on a Tuesday. Place had a very cool ambience/vibe and the staff was really nice! Cocktails were good - had a mojito to start, hubby had an old fashion but we both ended with cucumber spritzes. We shared the avocado dip, salmon hand roll party, the jaleta mix, parihuela and the cauliflower. Came out at different times - all very good. The salmon was interesting - had potato in it and came with nori to make your own rolls. Avocado dip was nice and fresh. The cauliflower was not my favorite - tasted a bit burnt. Seafood was delicious and overall food was filling! They even gave us a complimentary dessert - sorbet but it had coconut flakes which is not my favorite. Overall dinner was about $200 which wasn't too bad. They don't change out their menu too often but have a few rotating dishes, would probably come back to try some new things! read more

This review might be slightly dated but we came here actually during dine la for a date! Dine LA would give you the choice of selecting one of two entrees per two people, so we got the avocado dip, bass ceviche, chicken thigh skewers, tomato satsuma & chorizo salad, wood fired skirt steak, and the picarones. Taste: Everything was actually really good especially the dip, salad, ceviche, and steak! The portions weren't too much, but they were just right because we got to try a little bit of everything and come away very very full and satisfied but also very clean and healthy! Service: Service was very friendly and attentive! Ambience: It has a very lively night vibe and the lights are really dim at night. Inside is very nice - but also you can get a nice view as it's a rooftop restaurant! Parking: parking may require street parking or find a pricey valet parking nearby if you are willing to spend the dough! This place was definitely in our highlights! read more
We had an amazing experience at Cabra located on a hotel rooftop. The seating area has a lovely view of dtla. The service was incredible. They really knew the menu and recommended great menu options. The cocktails were also well crafted, however *disclaimer* do not order "the flight" as they are straight shots of some strong liquor and not your typical "mimosa flight." We couldn't even finish one tiny glass. Although, the food was immaculate. I can highly recommend the chicken empanadas & papas huancaina. They were cooked to perfection with the most amazing sauces. Cabra has semi-indoor & outdoor seating. It is a great rooftop restaurant without the crowdedness. Portion sizes were relatively small especially for the price range. Most dishes were more than $20 and so were the cocktails, so we unfortunately didn't try their drinks. It was a pretty enjoyable experience. Valet is VERY expensive. $17 for the first 3 hours. read more

Amazing presentation and vibrant flavors. Wow. I fell in love with their Alligator Tears drink, perfect flavor combination: a slight touch of sweetness and a sour taste. The tuna appetizers were so good that we got round 2. Overall very nice experience read more

I came in my birthday during the sunset for July 5th and it was absolutely beautiful on the rooftop. I suggest a sweater in case for wind for the coldies like me. Everything is tastefully crafted here and made to perfection! From the meat, to the sauces and the crispy potatoes, you don't know where to begin! Cute place!!! The menu is limited and you need to look up pictures on Yelp before you go. Accepts reservations and we didn't have to wait at all! And the skirt steak was decent but being Chinese, this dish wasn't all that impressive. I'd try the ribs next time but the waiter said the skirt steak had more meat so I chose that. But the pork shank was great and had solid amount of meat! The breads that come with almost all the dishes are great. 1 less star because of the limited meat dishes. But I'd come here again for the drinks and the ambience. That part of Broadway is pretty nice compared to other streets in DTLA. read more
He made reservations to this Peruvian restaurant located in the downtown LA, at a walking distance from hotel Indigo. We had a late lunch so we just ordered entrees and no appetizers. I got the ceviche and he got the lomo saltado. He was pleased w his food. I wasn't impressed with the ceviche, the ingredients did not taste fresh (ie fish and onions). The red onions were soft and not complementing the dish. The beverages we ordered were good. The interior decor is inviting and aesthetic. The staff was attentive and helpful. So we chose Cabra, which is housed rooftop of the Hoxton Hotel, to celebrate our friends birthdays. The bar and the dining area both have gorgeous views of the Downtown L.A. skyline. When you exit the elevator, the bar area is to the right and the restaurant is to the left. There is a pool in the middle of the space. We had a drink at the bar while we waited for our table. I had the LA Dreamin which was divine. Refreshing, pineapple grapefruit infused. The restaurant has a retractable ceiling and windows, which is a nice touch and a great concept. We had a nice breeze while we dined under the stars. Impressive. We ordered several plates to share amongst us 6. Sea bass ceviche, beef empanadas, Hot Chorizo and Queso dip, beet salad, yuca fries. I will say the food was tasty, but the portions could have been a bit more generous for what you pay. You are definitely paying for the ambiance and the vibe, without a doubt. If you've been to Girl and the Goat: Cabra is VERY similar. Tomatoes, blue berries, pork, sea bass etc.. it's a bit more latin feeling but not as good. It's also a very different vibe. It's on the roof of The Hoxton Hotel in the Art District and next to its pool area. So you DO NOT need to dress up. It's very casual, where as Girl and The Goat is more dressy. The pork shank was the highlight. Perfectly cooked. The toffee cake for dessert was heavenly. 2 cocktails and 16% tip+ 4% surcharge and the bill was 190$ for 2. 1 appetizer, 1 salad, pork shank and dessert. read more

Food and service was excellent. I would make sure not to order all your food at once because it shows up fast and hot. We made 3 orders of 2 dishes each time and that was good pacing for the 3 of us. All was great but what would I get again? Tuna and tots included the crunchy quinoa which added texture to every bite. The crispy pork should definitely be shared. If you have ever made pork shoulder or shank, you strive for the crispy outside. This is an entire dish of the best part. Sharing is recommended if heart health matters at all. The salmon hand roll was probably the most surprising. Adding potato and quinoa to the party and having the crispy nori made for a great dish. A couple of knocks keeping it out of 5 star weight class - we got 2 glasses of wine with the pork dish and both were served warm. We arrived at 6 for dinner in the summer and 2 of us, along with most of the restaurant were in the sun on a warm day. Not bad but not great. The restaurant is near a pool. Rooftop bar, pool, restaurant all in one! Some girlfriends and I came for dinner and arrive a little earlier than our reservation. We were able to get drinks by the bar prior to getting seated. DRINKS: Pisco Sour: My friend got this and really enjoyed that it wasn't too sweet LA Dreamin': I really enjoyed this fruity cocktail! It was a fun way to start off the night. We promptly got our drinks, took a few sips, and were led to our table. We decided we would try to order something from each section of the menu and split family style : (* denotes any personal favorites) DIPS/SNACKS *Beef Empanadas and Chicken Empanadas: the empanada pastry is SO flaky and buttery it melts in your mouth. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious they were! The beef empanadas were my personal favorite of the two -- especially the sauce it came with. We saved both the mayo and chimi from the empanadas to further enjoy with our other dishes. COLD STUFF Bass Ceviche: suuuper refreshing since we came on a hot summer night. The bass was mild but complimented the pickled onions, corn nuts, and sweet potato that accompanied the dish. The sauce it came in was light and helped offset other items on the menu. SIDES Yuca Fries: six fries that were beautifully thick and delicious. The ratio of fry to toppings was great. I think it was a little pricy for what was given, but I don't regret trying it. HOT STUFF: *Crispy Pork Shank: man what a presentation. This was meant to be shared and was it delicious. The pork is equally juicy and crispy and is accompanied by four sauces -- my favorites being the mayo based ones. The tomato salad and flatbread also helps to cut the fattiness of the pork. My only regret is that we left some of the crispy skin until the end of the meal and it became soggy because this dish was pipping hot when it arrived! I think the sauces compliment the many dishes we ordered. I'm not normally a saucy kinda gal, but I couldn't even resist. Compared to Girl and the Goat, Cabra is a little less upscale, but still maintains the fun atmosphere that is at Girl and the Goat. I think I actually preferred the menu here compared to Girl and the Goat. I would definitely come back to try other parts of the menu and the brunch menu. Parking was either $15 in a lot close to Hotel Proper (where Cabra is located) or street parking. read more

Cute little spot on the rooftop of the Hoxton Hotel Los Angeles. Service was very good and the food was great. Menu is eclectic but really good! Empanadas were maybe the best I've ever had. Drinks were great, too! It was a bit loud in the dining area, and it was not a pleasure trying to get an elevator up and down with the super crowded hotel lobby. Cabra is a small but somewhat roomy rooftop bar located at The Hoxton hotel, which opened about three years ago. Some of the seating is low to the ground so be prepared to get up often to stretch your legs, but other than that Cabra is a good rooftop spot in DTLA. The appetizers are quite small. I ordered the beef empanadas (very small), which were good and hearty but lacked some flavor. The portion size of the yuca fries with chorizo appetizer was also very small. On my visit the service was very good. Our waitress was attentive and checked on us regularly and the staff also did a good job at removing empty glasses and plates quickly. The bartenders were also quick with making our drinks, which is always a plus! read more
