Authentic French cafe that is very small and quaint. The men who I assume were the owners because they were speaking French seemed to know a lot of the local customers. Since we went to Paris I have been craving a croque madame and real almond croissants. Unfortunately the croissants were gone (should have grabbed those last two chocolate ones when we first came in) we ordered a croque madame and a croque monsieur along with Nutella crepes and a ham scramble. My 8 year old son loved the ham scramble. They even brought out some heated French bread with it which was so good. We all got fruit as our sides and they give you a large portion of fresh fruit. The crepes were wonderful. The croques were the only reason we took off one star. They were not as we expected. Normally a croque has a béchamel but we didn't seem to have any and it is normally on a toasty flat bread where as this was on a delicious French bread BUT it was slathered with Dijon instead of béchamel which normally has a slight Dijon flavor. I hate mustard but when it's in a béchamel it's fine but having both sides of the bread covered in Dijon (which it did not say on the menu) was an unpleasant surprise. It also had a deli sliced sort of ham which is not the norm as well. On a side note, the bathroom is DISGUSTING. There was black mold all over the pipes next to the toilet. read more

Right before the pandemic, my daughters and I were out running errands. One of them is learning French in school and the other just read about Paris and pain au chocolat in a book. I figured taking them to a french cafe would be as close as we could get to Paris for the time being. That's how I found this little gem on Coral Way. We had to circle the block for a good 10-15 minutes before we found a parking spot, but it was worth it! We sat at the counter and ordered a few different croissants and crepes. A friend recommended it in the area and I was very happy I made it. I wanted to get a guava and cheese croissant, but they were out. So I went with an almond croissant instead. It was perfect as far as sweetness. Sometimes almond croissants can be TOO sweet. This one was also nice and doughy like I like my almond croissants. Regular croissants should be airy and fluffy, but I like my almond croissants THICC (yes, with two Cs.) I also got a fresh orange juice and it was a delight. The staff was super nice and quick. What a weird little find in Little Havana... So this place is totally french, but with Cuban veins and is run by a set of French twins and a waitress who is (I am guessing here...Cuban). It was so much fun to see her speaking w/the twins, who spoke to her in French and she replied in Spanish...and yet they understood each other perfectly. The breakfast options here are limited and I think of Cuban persuasion (sadly, I am not anywhere near versed in Cuban food past croquetas and coffee), but nothing really tickled my fancy so I went w/a Croque Mamdam, which was filling and delicious. The accompanying fries were not that great, but not inedible. The coffee was good and the chocolate croissant I ordered was very good as far as the croissant, but there was barely any chocolate in it. I thought it was also a bit expensive for what it was considering it was $17 w/tax and tip for the Croque, coffee, and croissant. This French eatery is such a hidden gem! Have no idea how long they have been there but definitely wish I knew about them sooner. My boyfriend and I found Cafe Croissant via Yelp while searching for savory crepes in which they offer three types here. When we entered we were greeted warmly by the girl that works the counter who also served us at our table. I started with their soup of the day $5 and a croissant since I was just in the mood on a rainy day. I'm so glad I ordered the soup since it was phenomenal! A mixed cream of vegetable soup (though I believe it changes daily)---it was so good I even considered buying some to take home with me! The croissant was okay, better than most places but not the best I've ever had. Next we ordered our croissants in which we got two to share. I ordered the Le Parisienne $8: ham & swiss cheese with a fried egg while my boyfriend ordered the Le Vegetarien $8 mushrooms, spinach, onions & tomatoes. Both were VERY good but I think next time I come maybe I'll get the vegetarian crepe but add ham since it was so savory I could even eat it for dinner! The espresso was divine and the aroma filled up the room with the robust and aromatic scent that woke me up. Omelettes are great here and I ordered mine with spinach, onion, and mozzarella. They are located in the Silver Bluff area of Coral Gables so it's a densely populated area. Meter parking is available but also limited. Perfect thin crepes load the menu and is known to have the best French treats in the area. This is the worst French cafe/diner I've ever been to, I've spent years traveling in France and this place is a f*kn disgrace! Went there on two different brunch occasions about a year apart. First time I went I got a quiche and they literally popped it into a lousy microwave to warm it up! (putain c'était dégueulasse) Went there again recently to give it another shot and was incredibly disappointed...AGAIN. This time much worse! Ordered a classic Croque Madame sandwich and was presented with a baguette cut into 4 pieces and and an egg thrown on top...like wth! No brioche bread, no béchamel sauce, no anything remotely close to resembling something signifying a classic French sandwich.
