We usually eat here on our trips but today was exceptionally good...not just the food but the service. Food- London broil, chicken wings, vegetable lo mein, chicken burger and shrimp. All exceptional. No dry food, nothing overcooked, all the right temperature. Personally I had the London broil. The London broil was pretty big. A large scoop of mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, and meat on top of bread. The meat was very easy to cut and the gravy was very tasty. The food is usually good here so no surprises. Our server was Robert from Stockton. He is very professional and polite. Never overbearing. He checked in on us frequently - probably every 8-10 minutes- and remembered all of our drinks for refills. Prices are reasonable considering the times we live in, and portions are big so we usually share an entree and sides, feel free to ask for extra plates or have a burger or sandwich cut in half they will accommodate most requests. Was anticipating a great flavor on the salt pepper pork chops but it was bland. Needed soy sauce and pepper. Greasy flavor and bland. I had the fried rice which was ok except needed flavor. Soy sauce helped. The beef and broccoli was missing something too...more flavor. Kid had the shrimp chow mein which could have used more salt and pepper as well but it was the best of all. We have come several times in the last few months. The complaint I have is that the food is plain and bland with no color on the plate. For the prices that are being charged I would expect a better meal. We do miss the Chinese Specials this restaurant used to offer locals between 2pm and 5pm. We would go in often to try the different dishes. We been taking the grandchildren out to eat so that they have one-on-one time with us and this time we had one of our granddaughters. I was surprised to see a children's menu as I did not know they offered that option. Her meal looked better than ours so she was happy. Since we spend lots of time at the Peppermill playing we eat here at times. I would love to see a better presentation of the meals. Plus two times now, I ordered the breakfasts (omelet or egg dishes) and they did not agree with my stomach. I believe it is because they are cooked in grease or heavy oil. It is soaking in the eggs. I keep coming back mainly for the M-F meal specials. My go to is a gravied up London Broil with mashed potatoes! So good. They also have other comfort specials priced right. Restaurant is light, bright and welcoming. Staff is friendly and attentive. I had the local favorite 'The Conquistador" to go with a healthy serving of the smashed red potato salad. A creative addition of the grilled onions and mushrooms to a patty melt. Sandwich is fine and potato salad delicious if you like it a little sweet, but not worth the $20 price tag. It's a pretty heavy meal, so plan on sharing it like I did and you won't have to miss your next meal. hello, I had a dinner with my family of 13 on Saturday April 4th around 8/9pm. Got put in the back room with the long tables. Pretty nice at first. Didn't like how the busser wasn't writing any of our drinks down thinking he'll remember everything, He kinda forgot half the drinks. Never got bread. Cafe at western village always gives out bread at first. Food took forever basically got told the food is under the heater so we told him to get the food out. Fries were so cold but plate was super hot. We told the server my daughter's fries were cold he can even touch them sarcastically and HE DID RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY CHILD. I was so mad at the fact he did that. My daughter was the one asking for her food so much to the server cause it took so long for her side of fries. I got nothing discount. Got nothing taken care of. Manager never came over to check on us after bringing back a steak undercooked. AS A STEAKHOUSE SERVER AND CAFE SERVER FROM WESTERN VILLAGE. You don't do stuff like that. When we came for dinner, that was a different experience. Ordered the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. Nothing about that dish was sweet or sour. It was so bland and flavorless. Food here isn't impressive but nothing is really bad, and some things are actually pretty good here like the fruit was fresh tasting. Always seems like it's very slow service. The prices are too high for this. Basic thing like toast is about $3 a slice, it's crazy. The breakfast entrees are about $15 and more. Better food options can be found outside the hotel. Woohoo, great experiences here! First one was a to-go order of a garden omelette, breakfast muffin, decaf coffee, scrambled eggs, bacon, toast and a pineapple juice. The portions were huge and all was tasty! Even saved the muffin and toast for later. We were here for dinner on a Monday night. Milano is a open 24 hours and they were quite busy. It's diner for comfort food kind of vibe. We were fortunate to get David from Sacramento, CA (their nametags say where they are from.) Although the restaurant is very busy, our server was on top of his game! He had everything down from attentiveness, recommendations, personality, and efficiency. 5 Stars on customer service. Our dinner was about a 3/3.5. My husband had the 1/2 tuna sandwich, soup, and salad. I had the special for 9.99 which was called the "adult grilled cheese sandwich" which had spinach and pepperocinis in them. Kinda tasty. Fries were nice and crunchy just as I like them. Forget casino food, this is a first class cafe with HUGE portions. I ate there twice last week. First visit, a BLT. Freaking wow! This sandwich comes on some super thick and tasty toast. This sandwich was so packed I could barely get my mouth around. The bacon is thick and plenty. I opted for waffle fries. What a stack of fries! So tasty. Second trip I got the country scramble. This is really a meal for two, unless you are really hungry. It was the perfect fusion of food, and what I loved was salt was not the first ingredient. GREAT BREAKFAST. I stayed at Peppermill casino many times, I loved the casino, and it's my first time try this cafe. I'm very disappointed on the Chinese food that I ordered. 1.) A simple fried rice, the rice doesn't cooked well. 2.) The pan fried noodles, they should loosing up the noodles before fried it. 3.) The chicken was overcooked, very dry. I enjoy that there's tons of options to select from, with handful of different cuisines. We started with the Milano sampler and it was pretty unhealthy but tasty. We also got the chow mien and combo fried rice with a sides of egg drop soup and hot and sour soup - honestly, I enjoyed the soups more than the entrees. However, the Mongolian beef entree was pretty good. The beef was stir fried with tons of onions - yum! and also came with rice so I got the fried rice which was meh (the combo fried rice was a bit better) plus a side of soup. I ordered the Garden Omelette and loved it! Usually I have a tendency to alter what I order in some way, either by taking something off that I don't like or am not craving. Or the opposite for that matter, adding too if I am craving something a certain way. Not this time though, I order this omelette as is and thought it was pretty damn good. I've been here for lunch twice, and it's been very good. I'm not sure I'd pick it for dinner, since there are such amazing restaurants at the Peppermill. But for lunch it's a very good choice. I went with two friends, and we all had different things. The last time I was here, I had the "adult grilled cheese" which was a little weird for me. It has a breaded mozzarella stick in the middle. Strange. But this time I had the huevos rancheros, which was excellent. One friend has the veggie omelet, which she raved about, and the other had a half tuna sandwich that had to have been 5" tall. I used to love this place but I won't be back. I went with a party of four and we were seated right away. My husband and I ordered the mushroom soup but were both brought the clam chowder. My husband hates to waste food so we agreed to keep it. However it was extremely salty and almost couldn't eat it. I had asked for some bread with my soup but the waiter had a hard time understanding what I meant. "Just bread not toast " I finally got it. My husband's salad was just ok. It had tons of lettuce but not much meat. I had also ordered the fruit plate and most of the fruit was not ripe. Our friend's BLT was ok and so was the hamburger. We had a reservation for Christmas lunch and they seated us right away. (There were many people waiting for a table so I was glad to have made a reservation.) I really like this place. It does not smell smoky at all! It's HUGE which was surprising and made me a little worried about how long it would take to get served. Not to worry - our waiter was on the run but was there when we needed him. I know lots of casino restaurants don't have their own bar so the servers have to go to a bar in the casino to get alcohol, so I asked if he could bring me two glasses of wine figuring it would save us both some time. He was back in a flash. The food was great. I had one of their specialties: The Conquest - roast beef, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, sautéed peppers and onions, mushrooms, crispy bacon, and Thousand Island dressing on grilled parmesan sourdough bread. Half for lunch, half for dinner. Perfect. Really good staff, good service, good food, now if they would just make it easier to find... I know they do that on purpose so you have to walk through gambling areas before you get to the restaurant but I never gamble impulsively so for me it is just annoying. However, since that is not the restaurant's fault, I still give them 5 stars! read more

The food here it was soo good and portion generously I had the garden omelet it was soo good and their blueberry muffin.
