I went here with 4 other friends on a Sunday around lunch time hoping to get a quick and tasty lunch. Unfortunately, our visit to Cafe Piazza was neither of those. I ordered the breakfast panini, and the rest of my table ordered 3 pizzas and another breakfast panini - except this one without any vegetables. We waited 1 hour 25 minutes for our food. This could have been understandable if the restaurant was busy, but there was only one other family inside the restaurant. I don't know why it took so long for the food to arrive, and our waiter stopped by our table around the 1 hour mark to let us know the paninis were almost ready. It was another 25 minutes before the paninis were done at that point, and we just wanted to leave because of the long wait. Additionally, while we were waiting and looking around the restaurant, we noticed a large black dog behind the bar area. The dog would wander into the kitchen and also around the back of the bar and this raised our concerns about possible health code violations. The waiters occasionally bent down and pat the dog between bringing the food out. By the time the food did come out, it was an even bigger headache. My panini order came without any bacon and my friend (who ordered the panini with no veggies) had veggies on her panini. Furthermore, both our paninis came with mushrooms inside, which we double checked and mushrooms were not listed as an ingredient in the dish. Also, my friend's panini came with almost double the amount of chips as mine, and you would think they would put a consistent amount of chips for each panini that would be brought to the same table. Also, they let us know right as they set down the plates that they ran out of spinach for our paninis. I wish they had told us this when we ordered, so we could keep that in mind when deciding what dish to get because the main reason why I chose the breakfast panini was because I thought there would be spinach. We informed our waiter of the errors and they said another panini would be brought out for both of us. After waiting another 25 minutes for them to make our paninis, we were extremely frustrated by the fact that they messed up the order AGAIN. Both our paninis this time were missing all the veggies (except onions). The rest of my group was just as dissatisfied. As you can see from the pictures, the pizzas represent a sad rendition of goldilocks. One pizza was too burnt, another was too pale, and the last one was the closest to "just right" (but it still was not good). The bread on all the pizzas was incredibly hard to chew, and the prosciutto pizza barely had any prosciutto on it. The only reason why I gave this place 1 star is because our waiter was extremely apologetic about the long wait time and the fact that they messed up our orders TWICE. Anyways, I highly recommend you to find a different place for pizzas and paninis unless you're into long waits, inaccurate orders, and lackluster food. read more

Every time I've been there they have been understaffed and while sometimes the service is questionable, it's not from neglect - but from lack of staff. The people are always good to me and my family, the prices are great, and the pizza is above average wood-fired. We've been several times. Ordering pizza from Cafe Piazza was super simple. The online ordering platform was straight forward and each item was described well. The menu has a wide range of offerings including panini's and even egg frittatas for a brunch option. Their pizza comes in two styles, original hand tossed, baked with mozzarella, parmigiana & Mediterranean oregano and Sicilian which is thick crust, baked in EVOO, Sicilian tomato fillet sauce & Mediterranean oregano. Since we had some friends over after going to Perennial for the release of Abraxas, we decided we needed two pizzas to make sure everyone had enough. I'm glad we did because the pizzas are not very large. The first pizza we got was the meatball pizza that had beef meatballs on it. The crust was crispy and the meat had a bold flavor. It did need some extra salt and parmesan cheese to be complete. The stand out of the meal was the Hey Piesano Sicilian Pizza! While they call it thick crust, it's not Chicago or Detroit style pizza, it was more of a doughy double tall St. Louis style pizza. It was even cut in squares! The toppings on this pie were great. Loved the crispy bits of prosciutto and the creamy ricotta. The portobello mushrooms were so tender, they added a juiciness to each bite. The wait time for the thicker pizza was a tad longer since it had to be cooked longer, and it seemed like the original pizza may have been sitting out for a while. My only complaint was the pickup process. There are two entrances to Cafe Piazza and it wasn't really clear where you had to line up or go to pick up your order. The server working seemed a bit overwhelmed by the dinner rush and I had to eventually ask him for help. Since we live so close, I would definitely get their pizza delivered in the future just to avoid the awkwardness of picking up. read more

Lovely spot to enjoy a beverage or two and take in the sights of the neighborhood. The food is stellar and you can't beat the murals adorning the ceiling! I've walked by this place a few times and finally decided to stop in. The decor is very vibrant with lots of things to look at. Everything was very clean. The staff was very nice, although they did seem a bit frazzled and a tad slow. We assume there was a long line of to-go orders that was holding them back as there were only 2 other people dining in at the time. They have a full bar with a handful of local beers on tap. There are a few TVs throughout, which likely makes this a nice spot to catch a sports game. We split a salad and a large pizza. The pizza was bigger than we expected (no complaints) and was very good! You can customize your own pizza or pick from several interesting combinations on their menu. There is also a fun arcade with many games - pinball, skee ball, Buck Hunter, pool, and more! We found all of these games to be in working order and very clean. My only complaint here is that it was $1 to play a single game. That meant my money didn't go super far, and when there are other places in town with 25 cent pinball, it won't be my first choice for games specifically, but I would certainly come back for both food and games. read more

First and last time eating here. Ordering seemed easy enough using their "preferred app", which apparently is supposed to be Slice according to their website. Several people were sitting at the bar and nobody was wearing masks. So I ordered a chicken Cesar salad and a fruit bowl. The salad was $11 and the fruit was $4!!! I got one little strawberry with a handful of blueberries and 2 orange slices. Oh and let me not forget to mention the tiny tiny pieces of pineapple....honestly it should have been $2 for what I received. Okay so want to know about the salad? The driest chicken I've ever had in my life thrown onto so Romain that was nice and brown around the edges, a bit of cheese and so hella croutons. I asked for the dressing on the side. I was too late and they were a bit unapologetic. When I visit it is clear the staff is drinking while working. This most recent visit, my 12yo and I walked to get a pizza. My child was astonished at how unsteady the staff member was from inebriation. He looked like he was going to fall over. We ordered one pizza to go and waited approximately one hour. What I got was a small box of bread "chips" and a cup of diced tomatoes and the Caesar salad had the wrong type of lettuce. I tried to call several times and got voicemail full. We stopped in around 4:30 on 9/23/23. We found this place on tiktok and after seeing the great reviews on yelp, we were so excited to come in to have a good time for pizza, drinks and some pinball! After entering the restaurant we immediately lost our appetite. It smelled awful.. This place smells like an actual outhouse. Every table had cups and plates and even the Bar top was filthy. Tables blocked off part of the restaurant so we couldn't even see the pinball machines. The ground in front of the bar was bubbling up. We decided to give this place a chance and just get some drinks instead. They were out of Jameson and Jack daniels. A couple came in and sat next to us. I forget what they ordered but the bar didn't have the liquor they wanted either.
