So...drove to Baltimore because the food looked so AMAZING! Please note, that I would have given a 3.5 rating but Yelp does not allow it...LOL First, let me say that the food was good. I ordered a Turkey burger with shrimp. It was seasoned really good and had onions (my favorite), and lettuce. I really enjoyed it. It also came with fries. I like my fries crunchy but did not tell them so that's not their fault. I am just a stickler that when people are supporting you, that you should show your appreciation. The young lady taking the orders was nice but she appeared tired. The men that were seated on the stools (I believe it was the owners, one was a cook) didn't say hello, goodbye, thank you or anything. If I go back, I hope I catch them on a better day. read more

i very begrudgingly write this newest review but something has changed with 1908! I have been very disappointed on my last 3 visits to 1908. There have been a different cook every single time which absolutely lends to my disappointment. When we first started coming to 1908 there was a tall brown skinned guy cooking. He did that patty melt pure justice. Not one other cook gets it like he did it. On my last three visits, i had the hispanic guy, then there was a female and lastly a younger black guy and all were subpar in my opinion. They are literally layering steak pieces, peppers and onion and tomatoes almost like a deli sandwich. Certainly NOT a patty melt where the meat and cheese are closer and peppers and onions dispersed through out. It's quite weird now. My fries were flavorless, almost like they halved the seasoning or something. My chef style wings skin was super soft, not as crispy as i'd like. i take responsibility for that because i did not ask for them to be fried hard. In any event, for the price, $25 for a sandwich and wings, I need to be gnawing my own fingers off cause the food is that good. Not the case anymore. read more

First time here ! Customer Service was awesome ! I tried the Jerk Chicken wrap, Seafood Salad & Fries, that I heard was good from yelp reviews .... Everything was good ! However , I could've used a sauce with the Jerk Chicken wrap . Like a Ranch or something to tone it down & give it a dip. ! I ordered from this place through Door Dash, so I can't give much a review on the inside of the place. However, the garlic Parmesan wings were so delicious and well seasoned. Our fries were a little soggy by time we got them. I like them but I'm sure they would have tasted better had they not been soggy. The bang bang shrimp taco was way too spicy. I literally had to peel the batter off and eat the shrimp without it. I would def order from here again but for the wings specifically. read more

Noticed there's no eggs on my salad like advertised and the crab meat is not of the same caliber as the picture in the picture on Instagram it looks like the crab meat was lump which is what I thought I was getting, but that was not the case. I always plan to finally try this place whenever I go to OK Natural, but I finally did it a couple days ago. I called my order in and the lady who took my order was very nice and spoke clearly. I was told 20 minutes and when I walked in the door, everything was boxed up ready to go. I ordered the jerk chicken wrap and the seafood salad that several people told me I had to try! I ordered the parmesan garlic wings. Let me start by saying I ordered through Yelp for pickup. I was five minutes late picking up my food after waiting 30 minutes and receiving a notification stating that it was ready. When I got there it was not ready and the order had never been placed. So I had to wait an additional 25 minutes. My wings were dry and lacked flavor or seasoning. Also no-one wore a mask that worked there. The guy at the counter was mask-less in Baltimore City as well as the cook. But the guy at the counter very nice, understanding and apologized. Listen, the menu is dope, they make their own juices and desserts fresh daily! The service is courteous and fast! The ambiance it gives is like a cozy dive. Enough tables to sit and eat, but really just to wait for your food comfortably. They have an open kitchen you can see your food being prepared. This is my second time back in a week. So i finally made my way to Cafe 1908 after wanting to get here forever. I must say the choice was the right one. I ordered the jerk cheesesteak wrap & fries when I say it was delicious. Little disappointed it wasn't much meat as I prefer but the fries more than made up for that issue. Plus I got the wife some of their chef style wings & those things almost made me turn back around to get another order. Everything topped out at just over $30 which is a deal as good as that food was. Only downside is the parking is pretty hit & miss in that area cause I found myself having to circle the block three times before finding parking. And that was just for me to run in & pick up my to go order. Far as the setup goes it gives you a nice laid back carry out feel. Much better appearance then most of the places you'll find in that area so that's a bonus. I had high expectations for the salmon Caesar salad. However, I was disappointed , the flavor of the salmon itself was lacking and had no life. I'm pretty sure they didn't give us Caesar dressing. Not quite sure what it was, but it tasted like a vinegar base. It was terrible and didn't pair well with the salad. The fries arrived cold unfortunately. But I could tell they would've been good if hot. I'm not sure about ambiance,,we ordered for a group lunch. However I did hear the 1908 steak was delicious! Saw cafe 1908 on Instagram and had to try it out. Unassuming hole in the wall type of place, ideal for takeout as there is minimal seating inside. Service was friendly, wait time was only 10-15 minutes for a big order. Food was delicious! Items tried: Cajun seafood quesadilla, bang bang shrimp tacos, bang bang shrimp wrap, jerk cheesesteak wrap. All items were unique, tasty, and packed with flavor. The jerk seasoning in particular was amazing. Generous portions for the price, could get 2 meals out of most items. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Baltimore read more

Soooo, the monster went in for a jerk chicken wrap, garlic & herb fries & sweet lemon pepper wings. To be fair, I'm gonna have to visit this place again soon. I think the reason why I gave them 3 stars was because I wasn't descriptive enough about my order. I think Baltimore people are so used to eating wings "fried hard" that it's the normal way most restaurants cook them. My wings came out so hard that I couldn't really eat them. Didn't know they were gonna put honey on my wings either. If so, I would have said "no" to the honey. Horrible combo for me. Eat two & call it quits. Couldn't even grasp the taste of the wings. The jerk chicken wrap was on point though. I loved it. Next time I'll ask them to add more sauce because It was too dry for me. Not a big issue tho. That was on me like I mentioned. Now, those garlic & herb fries ....! Pure beauty! Dip those in that bang bang sauce & you're in heaven. Busy street, but there's parking on both sides. Chopped turkey burger is absolutely amazing. Flavor is so well balanced. Not too oily. The wrap miraculously doesn't fall apart when you eat it. I found cafe 1908 by following charm city foodie page on IG. I would give an overall rating a 8/10. Here me out! The fries were bomb alone, no hot sauce or ketchup needed. The chef style wings had a nice spicy kick but I expected a little more flavor. The jerk tacos were excellent! The right amount of spice and flavor with the cole slaw /cabbage flare was perfect. Finally the 1907 cheese steak wrap was everything. The wrap was buttery and crispy. The beef was chopped to perfection and very tasty. No sogg included and the cheese was nice and melted . I was excited about trying this Cafe after the reading the wonderful reviews. I got a Cajun bowl and was overall disappointed. To be clear, it wasn't bad! It came with salmon and shrimp over rice, well seasoned. However, the salmon and shrimp were both over cooked, the sauce wasn't that tasty, and the food was extremely expensive! Ran me ~$30!! It's not bad food, but definitely not worth the price. Otherwise, It's in an interesting location that doesn't have great parking, but very walkable. The people inside were normal to interact with.
