We were on a school field trip to see Art Basel and for lunch we stopped by here! Honestly great experience, it was a windy day and although not the best type of weather to sit outside for, we still had a great atmospheric experience! There was an ambulance passing by and it was an experience seeing how the workers just patiently waited with smiles for the ambulance to pass instead of having an awkward annoyed moment. IT WAS SO DELICIOUS. I can't even express the sweetness and good honey texture like oh my oh my. 10/10 Since I personally had the Mahi Mahi Tacos, I'll talk more about them. They were a bit too juicy ? I get that its a taco and its full of stuff but it kept coming out its all good! Just plan accordingly how you're gonna eat them. But it was super good!!! would go and eat em again! 9/10 I also had a sip of the lemonade and even though the person who ordered it loved it, It was an ok for me. Too acidy but yk thats how strawberries and lemonades usually are anyway. My teacher on a table across had food from the breakfast menu and he loved it too so ! Overall great restaurant. What an awesome spot. We stayed at the Uma House connected to the restaurant which made Cafe Americano on Collins Ave. super convenient. In the 6 days of vacation we came here 5 times to eat. Each time the food was great. They obviously have multiple chefs and they each have a bit of a different style as we found out. Example - ordered the Huevos Rancheros two different mornings. They were assembled totally different with different levels of seasoning. Both were very good, although they were very different on flavor. Same with the breakfast potatoes. One chef is very heavy with the seasoning making them amazing, one of the others not so heavy with the seasoning so they were good but not amazing. 3 times we were lucky enough to have Alexandra as our server and she's a hard worker. Made our experience great and no complaints. If there was anything negative I could say is that the service can be a bit spotty as far as how often the server checks on you. Seems as though sometimes we waited a bit for things. Example - Ordered the endless Mimosas. At first I was waiting at least 5 minutes after finishing the drink before I was asked if I wanted another and then it was another 5 minutes to get it. Once Alexandra realized that I was able to drink the drink in literally 3 gulps/sips/ however you say it she then was more frequent with seeing how we were. There were other times as well where we waited but nothing outrageous. In the end we were on vacation so it's not like waiting for your coffee on the way to work, if it took an extra 3 minutes for something we didn't care. Cafe Americano is a gem of a restauran. the menu has great food offerings for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. the dessert menu is a bit sparse but we were always full and never wanted to order dessert. The decor has a nice vibe inside and out and is one of the better spots for outdoor dining because of how they have shades and trees that align the outdoor patio. The wait staff is phenomenal. Everyone is friendly and the flow throughout the space with ease and little effort. We found CA because we arrived early for our check-in at a hotel across the street. So, CA was the closest place to and the food did not disappoint. Today Floiz was our waiter and she was very nice and accommodating. My wife didn't see regular coffee on the menu so she ordered an ice coffee. when she saw Floiz walk by with two cups of coffee for another patron, Floiz quickly changed our order. she also checked on all if her patrons and maintained a smile every time. I had a long layover in Miami on my way back from the Bahamas so I decided to explore Miami Beach for a bit. It was in the morning and wanted to have breakfast so I googled breakfast in Miami Beach. Cafe Americano caught my attention as the food looked good and the vibe looked great. It definitely didn't disappoint! I ordered the all meat omelet with cheddar cheese and a coffee. The omelet was nice size with good flavor. The order comes with seasoned potatoes flavored just right. The coffee was so fresh and flavorful I ordered another to go. Let me end by saying my waitress Augustina was a delight! So attentive, kind and friendly. I'll definitely come again when in Miami and recommend to others!! read more

So I have been a big foodie... I travel the world going to new trendy places it is a shame that 1 single human being can ruin an entire company. To whom the owner of this establishment, your management is garbage. I don't say that often but after my experience this morning. I'm shocked the 2nd time I have been here the big old bald manager hasn't been to my table once and each time I just sent back my food. Because the food wasn't done correctly. Last time he was just on his laptop which it's ashame. Management should interact more with his employees and the guest. Amazing experience at Café Americano on Collins Avenue! The food was absolutely delicious -- everything came out fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was excellent; everyone was friendly, attentive, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The hostess did an amazing job managing the wait for our table and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere is fantastic -- great vibe, great energy, and the music is perfect (not too loud, just the right volume with an awesome playlist). Definitely one of the best spots in Miami Beach! Any place that serves brunch all day is going to be a hit with me but this Cafe Americano on Collins Ave in South Beach especially did it for me with their new menu items. The cheesy sweet potato waffle fries caught my eye and our server Veronica, waited on us hand and foot and worked with the chef to accommodate my special request of adding this side to my breakfast selection at 3 o'clock in the afternoon and OMG! I was in south beach just for a long weekend and we decide to stop in here. My daughter really wanted fried calamari. The menu was diverse so I knew I would have a few great options. As a new Yorker, and a restaurant managers Im a hard person to please. We had a lychee martini, fried calamari and the Mahi Mahi with the cauliflower steak that the server Raisa recommended. We moved to Miami Beach a little over a year ago. There are an unlimited number of quality restaurants in the area. We like to try multiple new restaurants every week. We keep coming back to cafe Americana. The all day brunch is a game changer. The pricing is below market and thus reasonable. Cauliflower options to replace bread are awesome. The food was absolutely delicious! I had the baked Mahi Mahi on top of cauliflower, with a caesar salad on the side. The fish was seasoned nicely and went well with a glass of Chardonnay. My server Patrick was without a doubt, professional, attentive, and engaging. He checked on me numerous times to ensure I was satisfied and comfortable within the establishment. We're from Nova Scotia (East Coast Atlantic Canada) and were looking to get a traditional breakfast: oat porridge, scrambled eggs home fries ham bacon.. you get the drill! We went to Cafe Americano for a Saturday morning brunch. The wait was only a few minutes for 4 people. I loved the atmosphere sitting outside and the service was very friendly. I got the huevos rancheros with no chorizo as a vegetarian option and it was delicious. I also got a mojito and my friend got a bloody Mario and both were great. Drinks were pricey but strong and pricey drinks are expected in downtown South Beach. We would definitely go back! read more
