This is our go-to pizza place in town. When we moved to Collingswood about 5 years ago, people kept telling us to try their Grandma pizza and once we did, we devoured it -- it was SO good. We typically just grab a plain pizza now, because if we order the Grandma pizza, we eat the entire thing until we feel sick because we have no willpower when it comes to that pizza! Can't beat $8.95 on Tuesdays for their bread, soup or salad, and entree!! And it is byo. For two people plus app it was less than $30 total. The food was good! We started with the grilled eggplant and mozzarella appetizer = yum. The salad was nothing special in particular. The pasta dinners were huge and really good. Grandmother's pizza is a square shaped pizza, almost like a thin crusted version of a Sicilian pizza. It has lot's of spices on it, giving a bit more flavor than your average pizza. The sauce is not bad, the crust is pretty good as well. Typically, this style of pizza is not what I am thinking of when I have a pizza craving, but it is pretty good. My husband and I stopped at revolutionary coffee one day and really wanted to get some good pizza, lo and behold antonio's was literally around the corner! Ever since, this is our secret go to spot that we never bring anyone else to, it's our little pizza date place just for the two of us although we always tell to our family members that our favorite pizza comes from collingswood. Cafe Antonio is our go-to place for pizza 95% of the time. The quality of their pizza is consistent; you always know that it will be good pizza. The variety of pizza toppings has increased. Most recently I've had their chicken caesar salad pizza (sounds very strange - lettuce on pizza?) which was very tasty AND the lettuce was still crunchy. Additionally, I've had their plain cheese pizza, roasted veggie pizza and buffalo chicken pizza and all were tasty. My only complaint is that Cafe Antonio needs to use FRESH MUSHROOMS instead of canned! Why would anyone go through the trouble of roasting veggies to perfection only to place canned mushrooms on top of other higher quality ingredients? Change your mushrooms and I'd be a bigger fan! read more

The pizza is great but delivery time has become ridiculous during the pandemic. Advance ordering has not solved the problem - today we ordered around 4:15 for a 5:45 delivery and food showed up at 6:30. I don't know if they are just insanely busy with indoor dining closed or short on kitchen staff or delivery drivers. Your average in town pizzeria just more expensive. This place changes owners frequently but the pizza usually stays the same. Had the buffalo chicken cheese steak and was actually surprised how little you get for over $8. I knew it right when I picked it up. Could get a sandwich drink and bag of chips down the street at wawa for the same price. The buffalo chicken pizza is my favorite thing here. Huge chicken pieces layered with cheese on top. The buffalo sauce isn't really spicy instead like a homemade creamy mild sauce. But again over $3 a slice. They have a wide variety of slices when you walk in but plain is just average and over priced. I really dont know what they use the other side of this place for. Its kind of more formal dining but its just a pizza place so I think they're just trying to cash in on Collingswood rep for being a restaurant town. If you are looking for REAL pizza, this is the place. Large, NY/New Haven style foldin' slices made fresh with fresh ingredients. Great slice selection, from the popular Grandma's to the White with EVOO, to the Caprese, drizzled with balsamic reduction, you really can't go wrong on flavor here. I can't really speak to the other food because I can't seem to order anything else but pizza, but if it is half as good as their pizza is executed, then you are in for a treat! Boo! This place is terrible! The food is over priced, poorly made, and the decor is that tacky kind where one wall is painted like some Italian countryside with plastic grapes draped everywhere, blech! I had penne arrabiatta which was bland and my bf had chicken parmesan in which his chicken was kind of burnt. WTH! How hard is it to not over cook breaded chicken? Waited 20 mins longer than the 30-40 mins we were told. Spent $50 between pizza and tip and got smooshed lid cheese that slid off, cold, burnt, tasteless pieces of cardboard. This used to be the worst pizza place in Collingswood, but now it is the best, IMHO. If you were a fan of the OLD Nick and Joe's, this is similar in taste. It's a thin, very tasty crust with medium quality cheese and good, homemade sauce. I would have given this place 5 stars if they were more consistent. I have had pizzas that were the best I've had in NJ here and some that were, as some other reviews stated, inedible. Regardless, I still continue to go back because when you get a good one, it's just THAT good. Try the Margherita pizza-- the sauce is better and the fresh mozzarella bumps the quality up a notch. First time there this past weekend for a family/friends party. We were a party of 12 in a joint that didn't hold many more than that. First impression....parking: it stinks. I had to park in a residential area about three blocks away. 2nd impression...service: excellent. The two waitresses we had were attentive and responsive. 3rd impression...the food: pretty darn good. It originally appeared to be a run-of-the-mill Italian restaurant, but my Chicken Mediterranean (chicken breast with peppers, mushrooms and walnuts in a light white sauce) was excellent. And it was huge! I haven't frequented the pizza place attached, but I'll be back to the restaurant. Finally, it needs a liquor license, although you can bring your own. read more

Horrible! Stay away! We ate here because it was the only empty place on Mother's Day which should have been a sign to stay away. Extremely slow service and the food was just inedible. It took approximately 20 minutes for the waitress to take our order which was strange because there was only one other table seated. My husband ordered the special which came with sweet potatoes that were under cooked (crunchy) and what was supposed to be polenta but it actually seemed to be instant mashed potatoes made into a potato cake. There was also an asparagus purée but since the asparagus wasn't cooked right it was like a mush of asparagus and straw. I should have wrote this last week but am just getting to it. First, I'd like to say I waited until the last minute to make reservations for my sons 22nd birthday. Needless to say nothing was available for a party of 10. Finally after being on the phone all day calling every restaurant in collingswood and beyond I came across what I thought was a pizza place. WRONG.....it was a cute little Italian restaurant who's food was fantastic. To start they placed fresh bread to dip in the plates of peppers and marinara (?). Whatever it was...it was delish! The server was so sweet and attentive. Our portions were huge. We all had leftovers! The restaurant was empty....I was surprised. I'm writing this because I don't think anyone knows about this place....it's a great little BYOB and I will definitely return. Thanks for making my sons birthday perfect!!! read more

I don't think I need a long review for this place. It's pretty standard South Jersey pizza. It tends to be a bit on the greasy side, but I don't mind as much as others do. Pizza needs some grease. I'd also agree with the other reviewers saying it is kinda pricey, but ehhh, once again, it's pizza. It's within walking distance of the house so I will be back. read more

I really like Cafe Antonio II. It's unfortunate that many of negative reviews listed previously are for the pizzeria side of the restaurant. I happen to like their pizza, by the way, but my review is really for the restaurant side. I eat there about once a month. I enjoy it because prices are fair, portions are good, the food is fresh and delicious, and the service is friendly. I just love their soup - very garlicky, all of it, but very good and savory. The decor is a little tacky in that goofy "Italian villa courtyard" way but whatever, it's fine. I've been to beautiful places with bleh food. Anyway, are there better places in town? Sure, but not that much better, especially when you figure in cost, ease of getting a table, and quality. All around good standard Italian. Try the soup. read more

I will NEVER go to Cafe Antonio's again. They lack customer service and they were extremely rude on the phone. We ordered a pizza at 6:45 and it was never delivered to my house. Love the pizza here, had the grandma meat lover and regular pizzas as well as the regular style and it was all great. I wasn't a big fan of the cheese lover grandma. But I like tomato sauce on my pie. The wings were decent, but don't stand out like the pizza. I look forward to trying the rest of the menu. read more
