I tried the tiramisu latte and pandan latte here and they both hit so good. The pandan flavor was subtle and not too sweet, exactly how I like it! I personally liked the pandan latte better but I definitely think the tiramisu latte is worth a try. We come here all the time, food is quite good, drinks are all great (no misses yet!) There was even live music once (hope they do this again more often We love the Sparkling Yuzu (it is our favorite drink) but no matter what we do they always give us a cup full of ice and 1/2 cup of actual drink! Even when we order "light ice" it comes out with a ton of ice. It just does not make any sense to pay $7.00 for a cup of ice and a little bit of actual beverage. Perhaps there is a shortage of sparkling water?? This place is a decent alternative to Starbucks. Hope they can work on their drink quality! read more

From the outside, this cafe doesn't look like much but it's got a great ambiance inside. There's a small section inside the cafe that sells cute stationary and stickers. Did not expect to spend over $20 in stations try but really glad I did. It was too cute to say no. I got the mint latte which was ok. Philz is better. Went here today and loved it! We got their Spanish latte, lavender matcha latte, and their garlic cheese honey toast. That toast was phenomenal!! The flavors were balanced perfectly, the honey was sweet but not overwhelmingly so, the cheese was melty and just subtle enough, and the garlic was a light flavor that went with the rest perfectly. The toast itself was EXTRA thick and soft... I'm dreaming of it again lol The matcha latte itself was alright, the matcha flavor wasn't super strong and you could tell by the color that it wasn't super concentrated, but it was still tasty! The Spanish latte was excellent, it was sweet and flavorful and the aroma was strong and comforting. The person I went with got this one and I was super jealous after I took a sip. Lately, I've been super busy with studying and Cafe Big Mug has been keeping me a lot of company. The cozy and spacious interior, the quick and kind service, and the outstanding coffee are hard to pass up on when I'm deciding a spot to study in my free time. I personally like their speciality drinks, the Pandan Paradise and the Little Italy. The Little Italy is perfect if you're a fan of Tiramisu drinks, I've had it both iced and hot and loved it. I wish the Pandan Paradise tasted a little more "Pandan-y", but other than that, it's great. I'm hoping to try more of their drinks in the future. If you come here on a weekend, you're likely to see people working, studying, or chatting it up. A great cozy option for your caffeine needs! read more

Unfortunately, we were not able to try the orders we wanted because they said they didn't have the ingredients. Specifically matcha and tiramisu. Tried other drinks on the menu that were okay (Spanish coffee), but the tables were dirty and couches looked worn out. I may return to try the tiramisu. read more

Not my first time visiting here. This place is right next to McDonald's and shares the parking area with some other businesses. My last visit the place was packed by older women probably there for a meeting. They were a bit too loud for me who was just there to enjoy breakfast while working on my laptop. The coffee was okay. This cafe seems to be a good place to work and I'd maybe come back to try their coffee, but the breakfast sandwich was so mid and unmemorable. It also had eggshells in it?? $8.50 for two pieces of bread, an egg, and a bit of ham is a no-go for me, even in the Bay. The space has plenty of seating, wifi, and one bathroom. The music playing depends on the baristas working (heard K-pop/KR&B, then jazz/old classics). The coffee itself was burnt so the taste of the drinks, pandan and tiramisu were covered by the burnt taste. Friends who got coffee in the evening also experienced that burnt taste. The avocado toast was also $11 and I just got maybe half an avocado and two thin slivers of egg on what looked like wonder bread. Came here for some wifi and a place to work! The wifi code and bathroom pin r located on the receipt so u need to buy to use it. I like this place bc it is pretty spacious, but it is a bit no frills. I havent tried the coffee but food review is based on their breakfast sandwich.. it does not taste good at all! I think Mcdonalds breakfast sandwich is way better :( the egg is looks soggy but is tough, ham, cheese, sad bread.. just overall yuck. The avocado toast someone got looked better. Located in the same plaza as McDonald's, Cafe Big Mug is a great place to work or just hang out. They have ample space for customers and even have a large power strip across one of their tables. The service was good; there were only two people working when we went so we did wait a bit to order and get our items. Regular hot latte - I wouldn't go as far as to say this is the best latte ever, but it does the job! Great latte art, smooth finish in a pretty large cup. ($5.00) Regular iced chai tea latte - I don't normally get chai tea lattes, but it was one of the better ones I've had. Didn't taste watered down and had a good amount of that "chai" flavor ($5.25) Smoked salmon toast - toast topped with cream cheese, avocado, olive oil, smoked salmon, pesto, and a dash of seasoning. The middle of the toast definitely held up all the deliciousness! The smoked salmon was a little tough to bite and I'd end up taking a whole slice in one bite. A bit on the expensive side but so good. ($11.25) Spinach & feta croissant - if you order this, get it warmed up! The croissant was crispy with every bite and packed with feta and spinach flavor. Such a good place to get some work done! I came here on a weekday and got an iced caramel latte. Pretty good, strong coffee flavor and not very sweet. The wifi here is strong and there are both ample seating and chargers available for use. Staff were friendly as well and let us know that the restroom code/wifi password were listed on our receipts. Music was alright, a little loud at times, and the overall vibe was cozy but studious. Amazing coffee and amazing pastries Americano-the barista kindly asked me how much oat milk I wanted and steamed it perfectly :) their Americanos are quite stronger than traditional ones but I actually really like that. This location compared to the other one always makes the shots so perfect matcha cookie- buttery and moist, its hard to get matcha baked goods right without it overtaking and giving the matcha a burnt taste. Like the matcha croissant, the tea taste is strong and savory (but in a good way!) I'm shocked to see more negative reviews than before and feel like the service, study vibes and food have been just as good as I remember. I loved their tiramisu latte special from last time and hope to see another monthly special to try on my next visit :) read more

Ordered a latte and a chocolate croissant. The space is cute and airy, so it's a good spot to hang out, read, or do work. I thought that the croissant was fresh, flaky, and had a good amount of chocolate :) wish it didn't have the cocoa powder on top because it just gets caught in your throat lol.
