I'm giving Cafe Bliss 5 Stars since it is easily the blest place to eat in Belmont. And by "best" I mean the price vs. quality of food. We visit here pretty often and have yet to be let down. Nice little place to eat. Has a plentiful menu. But it is not open past early afternoon (that's time I like going to cafes) and staff can tend to ignore you in busy times. Bliss is one of the only great breakfast places on the peninsula in my opinion. Although I am walking distance, so this could have something to do with my opinion. Eggs Benedict always prepared properly with a perfectly poached egg, biscuits and gravy also great, especially with a poached egg! My goodness, as a peninsula native I thought I had tried all the breakfast spots, but I was wrong. I have, along with family and friends, tried Cafe Bliss 5x in the base two months. It's delicious. It's fresh, made from scratch, slow-prepared deliciously presented breakfast and lunch meals. I think it's family owned as there's a certain sweetness to how they run the restaurant - homey, but professional. The menu is reliably delicious and the ingredients taste fresh and carefully planned. The pancakes are a fluffy and the crepes are tasty. We are fans - just note it's not a speedy breakfast shop - the meals are prepared when ordered - so come in and be prepared to enjoy your time. read more

My husband and I went for brunch on a Saturday. It was pretty full, but we got seats. The wait staff was extremely friendly and immediately apologized for the wait on our food. I got the creamy chicken crepes with crispy potatoes, and David got an omelette with spicy sausage and avocados. Both were absolutely delicious! I REALLY liked the potatoes--they were really crispy on the outside but delicious and soft on the inside. Coffee refills were constant, so I'm still a little caffeinated... Great portion sizes. You get full without a bunch of leftovers. They let us take our time leaving, and we'll definitely go back. It's across the street! read more

I have always been curious about this little place. It is very posh and perfect for a quick to go order. The woman was very sweet over the phone, she told me 10-15 minutes until my food would be ready and it was spot on! I saw the chef making my salad and she was putting a lot of detail into making my Spinach and Shrimp salad. It is nice to see someone handle my food in a professional manor rather than just "throwing" it together. Prices are more than reasonable. Pretty small inside but for perfect for my taste. This is a great place for brunch. Excellent food quality and very large portions. The coffee was good and strong. Getting a refill on that coffee was not going to happen without some serious effort. The bill arrived prior to our coffee refill so I held out on payment until I got the refill - not a fun thing to do over brunch. A great place for a satisfying, inexpensive, but tasty meal. My wife and I go to Cafe Bliss most Friday nights. It's pleasant, without pretense, but offers a wide variety of dishes--soups, salads, scrambles, wraps, burgers, etc. I frequently get the Gyros scramble, but have enjoyed almost all of the scrambles served here. I was walking past Cafe Bliss today when their salad special caught my eye on the menu. A shrimp salad with pear and avocado. I couldn't resist, I stopped in and was delighted with the lovely salad and all the delicate flavors. I have only been to Cafe Bliss a handful of times, but I vowed today to go back more often.
