Good, but they screwed up the eggs...
    Alan C.

I was going to order room service, but when I saw the. * $14* room service service charge? I decided to go down to the restaurant. Until I saw the line. OK, to go back to my room it is... when I got to the room and saw the receipt, they still charged me $2.99 for it to go order. Who charges for food to go? I'm doing them a favor by not taking up space in their restaurant. I ordered the Chilaquiles, and overall, they were very good. They came with Yellow & blue corn tortilla chips, house-made chorizo, refried beans, 2 eggs any style, pico de gallo, queso fresco, and ranchero sauce. I was surprised at the heaviness of the bag. I get it up to my room, and the portion was very large. Overall, it was good. The chips were not soggy, I liked the flavor of the chorizo, and it was tender. The beans were not gummy at all, the pico and the ranchero sauce gave it a bit of a "kick", but well within what I like for spicy. The queso fresco was a bit tangy, and helped offset the richness of the rest of the meal. They blew it on the eggs. I love it when the yolk drips down into my food. I was worried that they would "hammer" the over easy eggs, so I asked for sunny side up. Guess what? No yolk whatsoever. They popped the yolks. How in the. H-E- double hockey sticks do you screw up a sunny side up egg? Overall, though the rest of the food was amazingly good. The Price was a little bit on the higher end, but for what I got, very reasonable. (except for that stupid to go charge...) I also like the fact that they are open 24 hours a day. I will be back. Thank you.

Great prices, kind staff, and delicious food. The ambiance is neat with the casino right next to the cafe. The ambiance is nice. Not too bright but not dark. Easy on the eyes. It's also not too loud as you might expect it to be.

Oh my goodness let's eat !

Let's get our eat on after a long long day of fun and playing. This little cafe is most definitely popular and worth visiting. First off you can smell the food as you walk by. You most definitely will salivate. Plus the lines show that it's good eating. It's a local thing we are sure ! While in Reno let's explore the best ! Mmmm they serve comfort style foods and eats . The menu is simple and delicious! It's a dine in primarily! We had to be waited to eat. It's worth the wait . The staff are really friendly! The ordering process simple ! As you sit and wait for your order relax . The dining area is open and comfortable. You can get to know one another, people watch and then the foods here ! Yum let's eat! The eggs and avocado great. All is fresh and healthy! The other half had a club ! It's a win win and we can sample ourselves off each other's plates . The food was delicious! Service grand. Time to pay the bill and be off with carbs and protein to burn as we advance to the next round of fun!

Had breakfast several times here.. we come to Reno at least 4 times a year. My cousins daughter, Kalani and her boyfriend's family maybe 10 of them arrived the same time we did. We arranged to meet at Central Cafe! The food here is is always fresh, hot, quality portions. Especially their pancakes and ham steak! We ate breakfeast... lunch and dinner here!

If you are out of options, you have a chance to gamble your stomach's future here. Was here for a weekend to compete at USBC Nationals across the street. The hotel is great. The food here... not so much. First, we came with 10 people total and tried to split up the tables to avoid gratuity fees and long orders and stress on the waiter. However, we ended up having to go at different times and sit far away from each other so we can pretend to be strangers. As far as the food, my friends order was burnt eggs and not edible. My order was less cooked eggs and not scrambled as I asked. They call it Casino Breakfast because your odds of winning are slim to none. Others at my table ordered burgers and they looked ok at best. On top of that, they thought we all ordered soda when that wasn't close to accurate. The waitress did her best and took off the badly cooked meal and all the sodas. With the bowler's discount, still on the high side. Think of your favorite breakfast restaurant, increase the menu prices, and reduce the food portions. That is Cafe Central! Enjoy!

Pleasantly surprised! Decided to dine here for the first time after catching a live performance. They were busy but we were able to be seated immediately. Their menu has lots of options if you can't decide what cuisine you want. I went with shrimp pad Thai. Our food came out SO fast and it was hot and delicious. Our server was very friendly and patient with our table. She made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us often. I would definitely come here again.

We were seated and ordered the classic American breakfast. The food was very good and cooked like we like it. The hash browns were lightly crisp and the bacon was thick and flavorful. It is a popular spot and well worth it.

Got so hungry from walking around decided to walk in here to have brunch. The ambience was a normal brunch area inside the casino hotel. Service was okay and nothing spectacular. I ordered chilaquiles for myself and it did not disappoint! Asked for beans on the side because I like my chips crunchy and the sauce was so so delicious!!! Totally recommend the chilaquiles

This place is one of those places that are open 24/7 and if all other places are open this is the place to come to if wanting a decent meal with and okay price tag attached to it. Service and atmosphere here is great. The only thing that I'd have a gripe about would be the ordering to table wait time other than that everything was pretty good. Note that everything here is a little bland so if wanting more sauce of flavoring don't hesitate to ask your server as they are more than happy to help you. For both the things we ordered we had no complaints and they weee both okay.

Stopped in for dinner after a show. My group of friends really enjoyed the selections offered. We had amazing waitstaff. Our food was brought out promptly. It was hot and full of flavor. We tried a number of dishes offered. Serving size was enough for left overs. It It a must try.

Had a late dinner after seeing a show at The Silver Legacy. I had the Kung Pao Chicken and my wife had the General's Chicken. Both came with a side of white rice that cannot be substituted which was fine for us. The food came piping fresh and hot and the Kung Pao Chicken had excellent flavor and a perfect amount of spice and the General's Chicken was zesty and savory. Both were good portion sizes leaving us both with leftovers to take home. The atmosphere is along the indoor public walkway of the casino and a little loud, not really for an intimate date or setting, but the service was excellent and attentive. Overall, it is a convenient spot to grab a meal at all hours, a little expensive but likely for the convenience and location, but great selection and good food!

Just got in town and needed a bite to eat. Went to the Silver Legacy Casino and found this place. Walking up there is plenty of seating. If you wait a minute someone will greet and seat you......or you can walk to the bar. It was after 11pm and the menu was limited. Ordered Greg's All American Cheeseburger....added some bacon too. Greg's Burger was good....fries were good. If you a burger and fries swing on by.

The staff was very accommodating to my short lunch timeline and worked to expedite my order. Much appreciated to Manny and the kitchen team for doing that. Asian Chicken Salad is very good. Large portion size has me taking home some for dinner. However, I can't recommend the Penne Pasta with marinara and meatballs. The sauce is very thin like tomato soup so it didn't have enough depth to hold onto the penne. Prices are about 20-25% high which is consistent with most resort casino places. Discounts apply for value players and locals, but you'll need a players card. I do like the light, bright open feel of the restaurant. Nice view of The Row for people watching. TVs are the laying sports with captions is a plus.

It was such a beautiful day.... where can we eat outside?…read more I found "The Spot", its in the old Smee's location on the river. When we showed up, we asked if we could sit at a table outside, the guy was a little overwhelmed, he said "I can sit you in 10 mins". I said "can we have this table". OK, but....just know I'll be with you as soon as I get caught up, I'm totally fine with that I said. . He bought us a couple menus to look over. Then a table on the railing with shade opened up, I didn't care about the table was dirty with dishes, so we decided to move. I love to look at the river and watch the people go by. The server said, I'll be over soon! He was never so happy when Sierra showed up to help him out. He came over to our table I said "I hope you don't mind, I moved to be in the shade, I know I'm one of those pain in the ass customers". Then he started joking with me and it was the perfect ice breaker. My server and part owner's name is Casey! He is an awesome guy and such a hard worker to ensure his customers are taken care of. I love that. We had a couple beers, he has quite the selection of beers on tap, he supports the community breweries such as Lead Dog and Revisions. My husband had the breakfast burrito $13, it was huge with homemade tortilla chips with salad and guacamole. I had the fish and chips. You get three large pieces of fish, fries and yummy coleslaw. I love how they put the tater sauce and ketchups in personal cups for you that shows class. My fish was absolutely delicious better than the old Smees and especially the new location. You get a nice meal for $20. They have indoor, outdoor, bar seating. They have a little merch area and a gaming bar if you feel lucky. I know the Open Championship Bowlers are in town, if you're looking for nice comfort food "tavern style" location this is the place for you on the Reno Riverwalk 50 N Sierra. It upstairs.

I was definitely in the mood to try something new. After some searching The Spot is what caught our eye. Located by the river and where Reef and Smees used to be. including what you ordered or used, Since this was a new spot we decided to just order and share a ton of appetizers. This included: cup of cream of mushroom soup, pretzel bites, spinach dip, poutine fries and Brussel sprouts. 2/5 were a huge hit where the orders we would not try again. Cup of mushroom soup: cup size is a good appetizer portion, good mushroom taste but WAY too salty. Would not order again. Pretzel bites: SUPER YUM! Slightly crunchy at the corners and fluffy inside. Perfectly bite sized and great dips (cheese and mustard). Loved these and would absolutely order again. Spinach dip: not a fan. The one thing I did like about this is that the dip portion was extremely generous, but I was not a fan of the taste. For me it was like slightly watered down sour cream. You have the options of chips or baguette. We went with baguette and for the first time in my life, the dipping vessels were very scant compared to the amount of dip so if anyone orders this, I would recommend it with chips. Would not order again. Poutine fries: YUM! Definitely a shareable portion. Thin fries topped with yummy breaded cheese curds and piping hot gravy this was my favorite thing. The gravy was perfectly salted and I loved the breaded cheese curds. I do wish the fries were thicker, like a wedge cut but honestly these were insanely good. Will order again. Brussel sprouts: made with bacon which is always a must for that yummy flavor. Also drizzled with balsamic which is a win in my book. These were very tender and delicious but very oily or greasy which kind of gave me the ick but flavor was definitely there. Will not order again. We were seated immediately upon arriving and waters were brought out. Orders were taken quickly and food came out quick! However after the food came out, no one came to check on us, see how we were doing or clear plates. We were always having to flag someone down for refills, napkins and the check. It wasn't busy. The inside is clean, has a large bar area and outdoor seating. Also lots of TVs. I don't think I'll be returning, but I do recommend the poutine fries and pretzel bites. Things to note: Have to walk up stairs to enter. No private parking lot, have to street park and a lot of parking is metered. 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday - Saturday & free on Sundays / holidays.

A couple of things that jumped out to me when looking over the menu was that they've removed some of their better dishes (the whole roasted branzino and the crispy agedashi-style eggplant) while keeping their worst (I'm looking at you, pan-seared scallops). We ordered a few starters, none of which really shone save for the carpaccio ($29). The lamb lollypops ($25) were cooked medium, the roasted bone marrow canoes ($20) were almost completely devoid of marrow and the accompanying toast was mostly carbonized. It was a poor start, and somewhat embarrassing to be honest. I ordered the 16oz New York steak ($95), which was flavorful but cooked closer to medium than the medium rare I ordered...At this price, it really should have been prepared a bit more thoughtfully. My friend had the prime rib ($70), which was pretty good. Not worth the price, perhaps, but at least it was presented rare as ordered and full of flavor. The roasted broccolini side dish ($15) was nice and crunchy and the flavors worked well together. Service was amazing (I think our waitresses' name was Natalie, and she was perhaps the nicest server I've ever had), and they gave my friend a sticky pudding on the house for his birthday. So here's the issue: for these prices (even considering the 20% locals discount), there are SO many better steakhouses in town. The aforementioned Roxy, Toro Bravo, J Pauls, Anthony's Chophouse to name a few. I mean, if Gordon saw what passed for bone marrow canoes or the scallops I had on a prior visit that could not have been worse, he'd have a fit. And it would be justly deserved. Such a shame.

Royce easily earns 5 stars from me. I ordered the Frenchified burger and it absolutely delivered…read more Pro tip: ask to substitute fries because it comes with chips by default. The burger had plenty of caramelized onions, which I'm a huge fan of, and everything was packed with flavor. The wait for the food was about an hour, but it was well worth it in the end. Also, don't miss the extra seating tucked away behind the bar if the front looks full. I also opted for their house michelada paired with a shot for $8 (I believe), which was a great deal. Another nice touch was their frequent visitor stamp card. I'll definitely be back and plan on trying the chicken wings next time. I saw so many people ordering them, and they looked absolutely delicious. Royce has a great atmosphere, great food, and easily earned a return visit from me.

What an amazing place!…read more Went here for a mother's day brunch. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. I ordered Guinness and the pour was perfect. Also no bitter aftertaste, so they know how to maintain their lines The Billionaire Burger was amazing. Harris Ranch beef, local fried egg, perfect acids from the kimchee and pickles and superb bacon rounded out this organic burger But the fries really made the meal to the point where i ordrred a second order to go with my second pint! Service was top notch, too This restaurant is worthy of a Michelin Star!

88 dollars for two plates and a drink. Incredibly high priced. Walked in blind on that one i guess…read more I was hungry and wanted to give it a shot. I will start by saying my sandwich and beer were tasty and good. They will boast all local ingredients, but 30 bucks for a cheese steak on ciabatta bread is steep. The burger my wife had was the same price and nothing special to note exept she ordered no tomato and it came with tomato. Both of our fries were soggy and cold. A draft beer for 16 dollars is also more than expected. Our bartender was professional and chatty. He did pull a nice bottle of tequila down for us to admire, and told us about some other fancy top shelf stuff they had. I appreciate they were even open. Service was great, everyone looked taken care of. The place looked clean; and the food looked great everywhere, ours just flopped. All of the other patrons there were probably late 50s and up at 2pm on Memorial day. This is one of the most expensive underwhelming lunches I've had ever had in Reno. I am sure if we had said something they would have given us new fries, but that isnt the point. You have a price set well above average so I expect that it will be executed suprbly.
