Gordon Ramsey needs to step in here and fix this place up. My order of Legacy fried rice was a legacy of disappointment---it was so bland, that even after sprinkling some salt and pepper on it, did nothing. Luckily they had some Kikkoman soy sauce to balance the flavor. I also ordered a side of two poached eggs, which was bland, watery and overcooked. Could've used more vinegar perhaps, but it was a disappointment. We only came here today, woke up hungry and didn't want to leave the hotel. Came a little past 11 a.m. and waited a half hour in line. Probably won't come back here unless Gordon Ramsey steps in. Makes sense why the lady who kept checking in on us to ask if we we were "ok", needed more drinks, was not hesitant to remind us to take our time eating so she didn't have to rush and clean up after us or "a good thing we took the leftover fried rice home", so it was less of a mess to clean up after. The geriatric who bussed us, was completely miserable, made minimal eye contact and was not friendly at all. $12 minimum wage in state of Nevada, speaks a lot, which is unfortunate. Don't let the lines fool you about dining in a restaurant at the casino, best to keep options open. read more

We had such a great brunch here! My expectations were really low because there wasn't anything vegan on the menu, and it didn't look like I would have any tasty options. But I saw the chilaquiles on the menu and asked if I could get them without chorizo and queso fresco, and I asked for the eggs on the side (for my husband). I also asked for avocado. They not only accommodated all my requests but brought me extra beans on the side in case I wanted to add more. He also brought me the salsa on the side to make sure I could have it (he said it had flour in it, so he wanted to be safe, which I thought was so considerate--though I didn't mention any gluten sensitivity). I also got a glass of orange juice, which I can be pretty picky about. It seemed fresh squeezed, but if it wasn't, it had a little bit of pulp, which I love. My husband got the Black Jack breakfast. He said the eggs were cooked perfectly (over easy) and the pancakes were delicious. The restaurant was busy but not packed. Our server checked on us several times even though he was really busy managing all the tables in our area (I never saw another server). Our server was fantastic. The Cobb salad is exactly what I expected. Fresh ingredients and ranch dressing. It was good but not out of this world. They have another location at the J resort and I think I was expecting that standard. It was larger and heartier. This salad was smaller and did not quite fill me out. The value definitely was not there but the salad itself was good. The service was not great but I think they had a busy Sunday afternoon. The carnitas empanadas are a joke they are 4 very small (smaller than a potsticker in size). They have some sort of mushy texture and all you taste is cumin. I'd never eat that again 0/10. Chicken Alfredo pasta 5/10 (sauce was very thin and bland along with the chicken). Beef nachos 6/10 ( basic). However, the grilled chicken club sandwich was very good. That's a solid 9/10. Can't go wrong with Cafe Central especially for a late night eat. They have a good variety of dishes that you can choose from Vietnamese pho, Chinese dishes, pad thai to American ribeye roast. The portion is ok for the price. The only thing is the service can be slow so if you are looking for a quick meal this might not be the place for you (the food court or the Vietnamese restaurant a block away would be better). If you check in late at the hotel this is the best option you have since they open 24 hours and they have a huge menu. read more

Went to your restaurant last night with my husband and his friend. They ordered the wonton noodle soup which came without noodles and I ordered the Mongolian beef which came without rice. They said the kitchen was closing and they couldn't do anything about the noodle or rice . Why would you sell those two items and not have the rice or the noodles. Food is so so - not bad. But since there are limited regular restaurants in all 3 The Row restaurants you don't have much choice if you plan to stay in the hotel/casino. Of the 3 days we were there, day 1 we had an awesome server. Day 2 was ok but not a friendly server by any means, and the third was downright the worst we have had in a while. She came to take our order and didn't come back after serving our food to refill drinks or ask if we needed anything until we were all done, then after asking for a to go box and our bill, we waited 20 minutes before she brought it, and then she shoved the box to my friend and said "here" and huffed as if she exerted herself doing so. It's disappointing that regular restaurants are limited in The Row, and even more so this is the only one we found open 24 hours. read more

I ordered takeout from here recently to bring back to my room, and it was a big disappointment. I got the potstickers ($14.95) and the buffalo chicken wings ($18.95). The potstickers came with only four pieces for that price, which felt like a complete rip-off--and they weren't very good either. The wings were dry and overcooked, nothing like proper buffalo wings should be. For what they charge, the quality just isn't there. Definitely overpriced and not worth it. We have been here twice while staying at the Silver Legacy. Both times we've sat in the bar area of the cafe. While the food is good the service is terrible. There was a handful of people in the bar area and it took forever for the bartender to take our order and that was because I had to get his attention. Rather than walking to our table in the bar area, he stood behind the bar and asked what we wanted to order. He never came to check on us or refill our drinks. We found our check on the bar counter rather than him bringing to us. I had to walk over to pay. The tables around us sat around forever waiting to order and the same scenario for them. We are locals and won't be back on our next visit to the Silver Legacy. read more

Man, I really wish I could give this place more stars, but in every way, I was disappointed from start to finish. It was just after 10 PM on a Thursday night and all the other restaurants we tried to dine at were closed in the casino. We waited in line and once we finally got to the front, the hostess, who finally came back after taking such a long time between each seating mentioned that she didn't remember seeing us in line and questioned if we had cut. She then went one step further and looked at the people behind us to confirm that we had been there the whole time. Not only is that highly offensive, we had already expressed to her that we had been there the whole time and she still made a bit of a scene. Once we were seated, our waitress came over to assist us pretty quickly and she was nice enough. It was recommended that we try the Chinese food and specifically the chow mein and the broccoli beef options but mostly they were mediocre at best. Always such a disappointment when the food ordered absolutely leaves something to be desired but also, I ordered a mixed drink to enjoy with my meal and well-- exactly the same, not great! Waitress had mentioned that most people don't order it, but it was sounding tasty to me since it was the only listed vodka cocktail on the menu however once it arrived, it was so heavy on the lime that it was almost too much to drink. I found it odd because I absolutely love lime flavor and citrus in general, but it just was too much in such a small cup and the preparation had to have been off. After a long day of driving we decided to dine in at Cafe Central. We were seated immediately and the waiter took our orders without us having to wait for too long. We got a cocktail, the french dip, and patty melt. The cocktail was very refreshing, I asked the waiter if I can get a cocktail in a tall glass and he proceeded to do so. I asked for another one of the same one and he gave me the cocktail in a bigger glass, so bonus points for the awesome service! The food itself was decent. Whenever I come to Reno or Tahoe, I always get a classic patty melt and it never fails to disappoint. Juicy, amazing cheese pull, and not too greasy all around. I could tell the fries were prepared frozen but they were salty in a good way and still tasty enough for it to be a great side with the patty melt! The French Dip was also very delicious, the Au Jus sauce complimented the sandwich pretty well. It wasn't too salty, bland, it was perfect. Both sandwiches came with ranch and ketchup and I'm honestly glad the french dip did because it if didn't, no doubt it would be a little dry. The only reason why it's not a 5 is because of how small the portions are for the price. I believe the patty melt was around $19 and the french dip was $23, however it didn't fail to make my stomach needing more. The service was outstanding, the waiter was highly attentive and the ambience of the place is a lot nicer than when I last visited this place a couple years back. What I really appreciate about this restaurant is that they are open 24/7, but that's probably about it. There are no other restaurants open very late around the casino, so you'd have no other choice but Cafe Central for your midnight meals. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Over Fried Rice to-go around 11 PM, and it took forever to be ready. I was told that it would be about a 10-15 minute wait; however, I waited around, continually asking the staff for my order for nearly an hour. At that point, I could have just slept my hunger away. The reason for the delay was due to the shift changes. I believe at a certain time of the night, many staff are leaving and others will start their shift, thus a lot of confusion and loss of orders happened during that shift change. It was not only me experiencing the prolonged delay, as many others were also patiently waiting for their food. When I received my food, it was already cold. It was, in fact, ready after 10-15 minutes, but because orders and receipts were lost within their internal process during the shift change, my food just stayed on their back counter. The portion was very small in proportion to the price I paid. It was very tasty; however, because it was cold, the crispiness of the chicken was gone. Hopefully, management will be able to resolve the issues that occur during major shift changes. I feel bad for the staff who were scurrying to get the orders right. I just believe that they do not have a proper and efficient way of handling the shift changes. read more

Honestly, our experience at Cafe Central was not as bad as other people's. We ordered pad thai, rib eye steak, and wonton soup. Absolutely loved the shrimp pad thai, it had the perfect flavor. The rib eye steak was decent as well. The mashed potatoes were really creamy. My only complaint is that they only gave us 4 pieces of wontons in the wonton soup. The soup is definitely msg, but it tastes good. Our server seemed annoyed, but we had a big party of 12, so it's understandable I guess. Open 24/7? Yes. Lots of seating? Yes. Going in between lunch and dinner? No wait. This was a great brunch spot in the Caesars hotels food area. Just follow the restaurant signs and you'll find it. I laughed at the sign that said "American Chinese" and was able to get a photo of my sister and her Caucasian husband underneath... but we are Japanese not Chinese. It was just a random funny-to-me sign. I did learn they started the Chinese food menu at 4 pm so we missed that. Me, I was excited for breakfast since we just came from the airport but it was afternoon by the time we got our stuff to the room and started looking for food. It made me super happy to see that most of the breakfast items were available all day but a few were only available until 11am. We got the nachos with beef to share with the table. Note for the next time, refried beans were at the bottom so if you're looking for it you gotta dig. Nachos were delicious! But I also was hungry and wanted to eat everything in sight. For my main plate I got the Casino breakfast which was French toast, one egg, choice of bacon or sausage (of course I chose bacon). I was pleased to get my French toast in a separate plate than the bacon and eggs cause the syrup cannot touch it. I really liked the French toast; it was just the right crispiness and not soggy in the center but was still soft. I don't use too much syrup and like to just put butter and let it melt. I ate everything!! I also snagged some fries from my uncle after he finished his burger. This was a great place for a quick lunch and wasn't too loud so we could have nice conversation. Great for groups cause there's a lot of variety and everyone can get something they like. Maybe next time we will have to come back in the evening to try the Chinese menu! read more

However today service was really horrible, too long to get seated and it wasn't busy yet, even the host didn't understand why they were lagging and apologized for the wait. Food order took about 15 minutes and food arrival took a ridiculous amount of time of 30 minutes the kids were getting antsy and hangry. The one morning I had breakfast at the Silver Legacy, I went to the aptly named Cafe Central. I am anegss Benedict person and they had Tuscan Benedict on their menu. It was supposed to be made using Tuscan ham. My server brought me coffee as soon as I sat down and she brought a carafe with more so I could fill my cup anytime I wanted. The Benedict was good. The Hollandaise was done well. The only downside was the wait to get seated. The person in charge had a lot of make work instead of seating the customers. I then noticed him go off duty, so he was wasting some time until it was time to go. Other than that, it was a good breakfast. read more
