Cozy little spot for breakfast or lunch. My pumpkin spice latte was amazing. It's cash only and everything is priced well, they give you good portions and the food is tasty. Found this restaurant to be mediocre (borderline three stars but not quite). The people were cordial. The food was ok. The service not great. It's a small place and not many people were there and I went through my entire breakfast as well as lingered afterward without a single refill of coffee. To me that is the basics to service for breakfast at a cafe, especially if you are going to charge $2.50 for a small cup of coffee. The one in Long Beach is way better. The menu in Long Beach is better, the food is better, the service is way better and that site is always packed (I say that just to say they maintain high quality all around with being very busy most/all of the time). Probably wouldn't go back to this one in HB... I'll just make the drive to Long Beach. read more

Parking is a little tight with a 24 hr fitness in the center, but that's out of their control. We were seated pretty quickly and the food was out fast. Cinnamon roll was really moist and had a nice layer of gooey cinnamon sugar. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and it came with a side of home fries that were nice and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I think the huevos rancheros sauce could use a little more tomato flavor, but otherwise was good. I'll definitely be back to try their stuffed french toast. read more

We came here at about 1:30 on a Friday afternoon. The service was great, despite the fact that they were about to close. Per yelpers' suggestions, we got the cinnamon roll. I didn't think it was HUGE like some of the other reviews. Pretty small really, but we split it and loved it! BF ordered the egg enchiladas. Delish! Nice and spicy. I got the feta scramble. Not bad. Tons of veggies and feta. Server suggested trying the chili verde or mashed potato omelette next time we're back. I love when servers are enthusiastic about the food! Inside was small. This is place is great! I highly recommend the banana nut pancakes. Great with coffee. The service here is outstanding, we tipped extra! I took off a star because the Stuffed French Toast only had cream cheese on 2/3 pieces, and one of the pieces that had cream cheese didn't have that much in it anyway. It also needed jam or sugar or something sweet to cut the cream cheese a bit. The cream cheese added a great richness, but not sweetness that was needed. I've been here twice and both times I got the " I'm bothering the staff " feeling. The hours show exactly the tone of the place. They operate around what is easy for owner and staff 7am-2pm. Cash only says it all. Why bother using credit cards? It would only benefit your customers? If you go in after 1pm good luck. They will look at you like " hurry up". I have never been in such a negative anti customer feeling in my life. The food is good but it's to uncomfortable To sit there to eat it. The only reason this place lost a star was for not taking credit cards. I saw that in another review ahead of time, and had to go track down an ATM before coming here. They have an ATM, but it would have charged me since it isn't my bank. I came for brunch on Sunday and was seated immediately at the counter. I ordered a caramel latte, which came quickly and was delicious. My server also brought me a glass of water without me having to ask, which was very nice. I had a little trouble getting a server's attention to order, but it wasn't too long before one came up and asked if I was ready. I ordered the two egg breakfast with eggs over medium and sourdough toast. The eggs and potatoes (served with a very juicy orange slice, some green onions, and some parsley) came in a reasonable amount of time (the place was moderately busy), but the toast didn't come right away and my server had to remind the kitchen to put it out. He made sure they remembered to, and the toast came not too much later. If you're like me and you dip your toast in your egg yolk, you'll love this place. My over-medium eggs were a little runnier than I expected (I think even over hard eggs would have been a little runny - keep that in mind when telling them how you want them cooked), but the yolk-to-toast ratio was great. I had yolk leftover to dip my potatoes in! The potatoes were amazing. Slightly blackened, very crispy on the outside and very soft on the inside. Very flavorful. My check came with my food, so if you're looking for somewhere quick to eat, this is a great option. I paid as soon as I'd tasted everything and was sure it had all come out right. Despite getting my check so soon, I didn't feel rushed at all to leave. In fact, I'm writing this review still at the counter, having already finished all my food, and no one's looking at me funny for being on my phone and taking up counter space :) I highly recommend this place. I think this will be my regular after-church brunch spot for a while. read more

This happened twice. If you get seated but you still have others in your party who are on the way, you don't get to eat there. I get the policy, and it's fair to an extent, but we offered to order for the others in our party since we were on the phone with them, and the waitress gave no sense that she was willing to work with us at all. These folks are on top of it! This is the sister to the Coffee Cup in LB, and just as yummy! I always get what I call Eggs Sharon...a tweaked version of Eggs Florentine. They ALWAYS do it exactly the way I ask and it's always perfect. Right now, they close at 2, and I believe are still only seating outside, and take out of course. Cash only but they do have an ATM that doesn't charge too much. My sister always get the chili verde breakfast and looooooves it. Even my very picky bf loves their chili verde. I believe their breakfasts are their stars, but don't discount the lunch menu either! Excellent sandwiches and their fries are perfect every time. ***Attention this review is only for the pancakes and not the entire restaurant*** Im sure they have great food so I would recommend that you try them out if you aren't getting pancakes. As for the pancakes I ordered pumpkin pancakes which are seasonal. Since they are seasonal they are more expensive then regular and flavored pancakes. So I paid $10 for 3 pancakes nothing else which is ridiculous in itself but I was really craving them. Their was zero pumpkin flavor to these pancakes. I took the first couple bites of them without any syrup, whip cream, or butter and they tasted like normal pancakes. On top of this flavor let down the pancakes in general were not that good. Now im thinking to myself i might as well have gotten normal pancakes and saved myself some money since they taste the same and this is what is frustrating paying extra for something and not getting anything in return. I don't what mix they use or if they skimped out on putting the correct mix in to save money or what but there was zero pumpkin flavor. Maybe this was just an isolated incidence where the chef messed up. I don' know so just be aware of this if you have your heart set on pumpkin pancakes. Again I have not eaten everything on the menu here so I cannot comment on anything else. I just think if you are going to charge extra for something that you might want to make it extra special. 2 stars because it was edible and tasted like normal pancakes. read more

Their menu has options for everyone and everything is always delicious. The staff is always friendly and just the right amount of attentive. Came on a Saturday morning, and there was about a 20 min wait because everyone wanted to get some. I ordered a chorizo omelette and it was one of the best I've ever had! It had avocados, grilled tomatoes, the whole shebang. In terms of breakfast food the quality is as good as it gets. Coffee was pretty good too, but I like any coffee at 10am.
