Definitely not happy! as I came in today this morning I walked in made a coffee, now they have a limit to spend on a card. So I'm looking around and I picked up three things possibly maybe wanting to buy. I picked up the third item and asked what it was the lady looked at me with a nasty attitude told me what it was and was like can you not touch everything. I simply told her everything is wrapped but still that made me feel some type of way! I work hard for my money and I'm not the one to waste anything. I could have walked away and taken my business elsewhere but I purchased my coffee and banana bread bc she made me feel like I couldn't look around and see what I wanted to eat. Or even what I wanted to purchase. And it definitely wasn't a good choice the banana bread was dry. Honestly I will never come back especially if that how you treat your customers. This little local spot is so great from the food and coffee to the plants and atmosphere. We are new to the area and hung out to do some remote work and just fell in love with the staff and vibe. It's just up the road from our new house so we def will be back. They have delicious coffee too which was great since we are still waiting on our supplies from home to get here including coffee maker. The owner was so kind about my refills too. 12 out of 10 stars. Located down the street from our hotel, we couldn't wait to try the OMG protein breakfast sandwich and we were not disappointed. That was a fun and tasty item with bananas and chocolate. Reminded me a bit of a crepe. The inside of the cafe is a lot to take in visually - so many signs and plants. I loved looking around as we waited. The menu is huge too. You can get lunch sandwiches at breakfast so I went with one that had apples, cran-mayo and turkey. It was good but I found the combo wasn't really for me. It was also pretty messy. You got a free bag of chips with it so that was nice. Prices were good - definitely could see myself going multiple times a week if I lived nearby, especially as they had several interesting sandwiches on the menu. If I could rate zero stars I would. I have never wrote a review on a restaurant due to the fact that I myself am a restaurant worker and would consider myself very understanding. My boyfriend and I went in this morning to get some breakfast and the women there were very rude and unprofessional. Definitely would not recommend. Food is overpriced for its quality, and it's microwaved to order. You would be better off going to McDonald's for your money. Cute little cafe on slowly-but-surely developing River Street. They have a good sized menu with reasonably priced breakfast options, sandwiches, salads and soups. I really enjoy the eclectic interior lined with witty signs and slogans, oddities, candies and knick-knacks. There is a "secret" area that contains some off color items, but I won't ruin the surprise :P (just be aware, parents lol). The food teeters on the fence between good and okay. Portions are not particularly large, but sometimes that's a good thing, especially for lunch. The chicken in the grilled chicken salad kind of reminds me of canned chicken, but I'm not entirely sure. Definitely not what I imagine when I think of grilled chicken. The Hot Guy (smoked turkey with cran-mayo, lettuce, apple slices, bacon & cheddar cheese on grilled wheat bread) is very tasty. I go to this place at least once a week. As if the amazing sandwiches weren't enough; the delicious home made treats and wonderful employees seal the deal. If you find yourself in or around Troy, I highly recommend stopping in and grabbing yourself a "Pilgrim", "Nice Guy" or "Green Island". These are my top 3 sandwiches! Very cute little cafe. I used to go here about once a week or so when I worked in the Headley Building on River Street. It has delicious and creative sandwiches and wraps (all named after local landmarks, neighborhoods and people) and amaaaaazing homemade sweets. Best chocolate covered graham crackers EVER! My only complaint is that a lot of their sandwiches are very messy, and some don't taste as great as they sound. However, I applaud these ladies for their creativity and positive attitudes. I'm someone who loves everything and never wants the same thing twice. When I go here I order the Roman and let them get creative and make me something ridiculously good and random. I've never had combinations of food like they've given me but its always mouth-wateringly delicious at deli icious. Today I got the Roman and it was a grilled cheese with tomatoes, bacon, and turkey. Absolutely amazing. I'd recommend this place for lunch any day. For ~7$ you get the sandwich and a choice of a bag of chips. Takes them about 5 minutes to make it. Go! read more
