If that's what's so popular in Hong Kong, it's not for me. It's not great and overly priced here. I've tried some of the parties here. The Bacon donut is actually really good. Pros: Creative, yummy donuts, and the place is clean. My favorites are the fruity pebble donuts, green tea roti, koko churro, spirulina donut. (that chewy texture tho....), and the tapioca chewy ball, but you can buy the tapioca chewy ball at any Korean bakery in Ktown and you don't have to wait in line for it either! Cons: They really need a shaded area for the long line or some kind of line set up. The line moves slowly, and I would rather walk to the next dessert shop or bakery than bake in the hot sun. Stoped by with a friend and some of there donuts. They were very good! My favorite was the bacon donut! Also loved the fact they had little donut hole. Just enough sweets for the kids. Customer service was great and fast. Place was real clean as well. The only down fall was there was very little seating. We planned on eating there but because there was no seats we went home. WOW Their blueberry green tea latte is on point. It tasted like the combo of M&M's blueberry donuts and green tea latte. Both of the flavors were well-mixed and consistent. The green tea latte flavor is not too strong that I couldn't taste the blueberry taste, and vice versa I was actually sharing a drink with my friend, and I honestly regret not getting my own because we ended up finishing the drink in less than 5 minutes. I came here tonight on a mission to find dessert, and since the Pie Hole had a line out the door, I came here. All the donuts and rolls on display looked like I could pass. They didn't look very appetizing. But then I saw their Boston cream pie tart and their cupcake with such pretty toppings on it. I mean it had roses on top with a choice of chocolate, vanilla, or carrot. Since I love chocolate, I went for the chocolate. I took it outside and to my surprise, the tart was not as delicious as it looked like it would be. It was moist but just so meh. So I tried the cupcake, and again I was not satisfied. The buttercream rose topping was disgusting, so I slid it off to eat the cupcake. The actual cupcake was delicious and rich. I only wish the entire thing was yummy. For $12 for two items, which went into the trash except the cupcake, this place was not worth it. Service was friendly though, but the sweets sucked. read more

I really enjoyed these donuts! The dough is soft and pillowy and just melts in your mouth. I bought the chocolate glaze, strawberry filled, bacon maple, and macadamia maple glaze. Of course I tasted each one, Shhhh;) all were delish but my favorite was the macadamia nut maple glaze. I love nuts ( you know what I mean) especially macadamia nuts they were so crunchy , yum!!!! Cafe Dulce is one of the most popular coffee shops in the LA area. I've heard so many things about the place, it's almost overwhelming. "Cafe Dulce is overrated," "Cafe Dulce is pretty creative with their drinks and food," and "Cafe Dulce is nothing special" are a few opinions I hear quite often. However what's my take? I must say, Cafe Dulce is definitely not overrated and lives up to the hype. It's not the most beautiful cafe in the area, but it gets the job done with its food and drinks. I ordered their 18-hour large cold brew ($4.50), bacon donut ($2.50), and green tea donut ($2.50) and everything was delicious. Their cold brew wasn't too bitter or sweet for my tastebuds. I was satisfied with the refreshing dark, chocolatey flavor I was able to taste from the cold brew. Not many places serve regular cold brews nowadays (Most places only serve nitro cold brew) so I was relieved to know that Cafe Dulce still serves regular cold brew. They use numerous of different coffee beans but the ones I remember were Stumptown and Copa Vida. The bacon donut and green tea donut are their two best-selling donuts, and I can see why. Very unique concept, and most importantly, taste. The bacon donut tastes very similar to a breakfast pancake with little crispy bacon pieces on top with sweet syrup. The green tea donut had creamy filling inside and it works so well with the sugary donut outside. All three are so worth getting, and I highly recommend. My friend ordered the Spicy Korean Cheesesteak Sandwich, and he let me know that it tasted amazing. He told me that the cheesesteak melted in his mouth and the texture was on point. There are a lot of parking lots and street parking available, but you need to pay for them all. I have yet to find a free parking spot (which is almost impossible to find in LA). The servers and baristas were all very helpful and super awesome. My ONLY complaint is...PLEASE RESTOCK ON YOUR BLACK DAD CAPS...The "Anti Coffee Coffee Club" dad cap looks so sick and I would love to get my hands on one. So I really hope you read this review and consider bringing those back one last time. read more

Their mini cream puffs barely have any cream. The Oreo donut is very good thou. Their customer service is terrible. The price showing on the tart is wrong. It's showing $6 but they're charging $6.5. When I brought it to the cashier attention yesterday afternoon, she gave me a smirk and looked away and started helping other customer. I decided to return it and her response was, "it was only 50 cents. You sure you don't want it?" Yes, girl. It's already expensive enough and you didn't even respect your customer. I love this place so much! My old internship was just around the corner and I would come here often. I've tried almost everything here and it's all amazing! My personal favorite is the iced dulce latte with either a bacon donut hole or the Cap'n Crunch one :) it's the perfect sweet treat after dinner. Their lunch options are also great! It's worth stopping here on your way to some delicious sushi in Little Tokyo ;) Of course parking is a nightmare so come prepared to make that $10 parking worth it. The baristas/cashiers can sometimes be chatting with each other which can slow down things. It's never annoyed me too much though. Though I no longer frequent Cafe Dulce as much as I used to (maybe that's a good thing?), I make it a point to stop here when I'm in the area. read more

I don't know what I was expecting. I've been to many Asian bakeries, so the typical toast or donut wasn't exactly what I was after. I tried a blueberry roll (so-so...good, but a bit too syrup-y sweet for me). I then tried the spirulina chewy roll...WHICH WAS FANTASTIC. I wish I could run back and buy out the rest of the sirulina rolls in the case. WOW. Worth the trip just for that. El Salvador coffee was good and I'm not much of a coffee drinker. But I'd definitely come back for the pastries. Sweet potato roti was the best. Mix of melon pan with sweet potato filling. Then I got the koko churro, think of a Japanese churro. Cinnamon sugar coating with a crunchy outside and yummy chewy mochi like inside. The green tea roti was good too but the sweet potato was way better for me. Haven't tried the donuts yet but there's always next time. read more

Cafe Dulce has some of the most addicting coffee and donuts EVER....like crack! i was introduced to this place by a friend by way of the bacon donut...i was skeptical but man...its a really good donut....light a fluffy, and a great mix of salty sweet because of the glaze and the bacon, but then on another trip i tried the green tea donut, which apparently thats what they are known for.....i must say it was damn good! and i have to credit Cafe Dulce for getting me into coffee.....the LAMILL coffee they serve there is sooooo goood no matter what kind of coffee you get....usually get the El Salvador or the Ethiopia coffee. And if you get ANY coffee.....you HAVE TO TRY IT WITH A MOCHA ROTI!!! they heat it up for you perfectly to eat with your coffee.....seriously...try it you wont be disappointed! Other favorites of mine are the Cream donut and Macadamia nut donut. Prices arent too bad.....coffee is like 2 bucks....donuts are around the same....so much better than star bucks......sometimes im stuck getting starbucks and wish that i had the coffee from here instead....and i get sad.....but then i jet up to LA the next day and get some LOL Location: its in the middle of lil tokyo in downtown LA....there is plenty of parking but you either gotta find street parking or park in the structure...which can be like 7 bucks... I wish this cafe was in San Diego, but in a way that's a good thing! I would spend way too much money there. Cafe Dulce claims to be the best and they're right. This place has delicious, rich, and bold coffee or teas. I'm Vietnamese and I know how to make a good strong Viet coffee. But they take it to another level at this cafe. The coffee they use is soooo strong and rich!! My husband looooves Vietnamese coffee and this one was really delicious. I love their HK style milk tea!!! I love the tea flavors and the sweetness. We also tried a green tea custard filled donut. The custard wasn't too sweet like in American donuts. The donut was more like bread, but it was still good. It's not the best thing ever. read more

Outside seating is available for this place! I recommend sitting outside more than inside, since the atmosphere is a lot more nicer outside than it is inside! Spicy Korean Cheesesteak and Apple Tuna Baguette Sandwiches! Both delicious, both unique! I cannot pick which is better from the two! Luckily, when I went, my brother and I ordered both and split the sandwich between the two of us. They cut it in half already for you! I would say that the Spicy Korean Cheesesteak has a more meaty taste to it for meat lovers, and the apple tuna was for those with a lighter appetite! But if you are there alone or don't have anyone to split a meal with, go with the Spicy Korean Cheesesteak! I was recommended by a friend to try their Hong Kong Style Milk Tea. They said it was the best here. I'm sad to say that it is not the best here. In fact, I can find better HK style milk teas in Rowland Heights. But after doing my research, they say that the coffee here is recommended, made with real green beans. I'm sad that I did not order that instead :( But I guess if you don't even know what Hong Kong Style Milk Tea is, it doesn't hurt to try it here! Green Tea Donut. I really liked this place! I tried the fruity pebble donut hole & it was AMAZING. I didn't want to try anything else because I was already full from eating ramen earlier, so I just went with something small. I also ordered a small hot chocolate, and honestly, it wasn't anything special. I do appreciate that the hot chocolate wasn't boiling hot. It was nice & warm so I could drink it right away. The place is pretty small, but there is plenty of seating inside & outside. As for the service, it was decent. Not slow, but definitely not quick.
