5/5 stars for me based on service, taste and even location... I went of course for the Hello Kitty Hungry Hunt and waited for 4 hours in line but that was expected as all the locations were like that. The crew here delt with the crazyness very well and had it all organized very well, the guy James that works there is not only super cool and calm but he had everything in check and was perfect!! The price was fare and the donut was amazing! The Dulce Latte was very good! Small but very good! Wanted a latte, so went here and paid $4.75 for a small vanilla one. Took them at least a good 10 minutes to get it ready, and by the time I got it it was slightly over room temperature. I don't know if they let it sit for a while before giving it out or what. Can't complain about the taste, it's what I would consider a standard latte! Each doughnut was $4.50, which I thought was quite pricy and I can't remember how much I paid for my latte, but the price was not really worth it; it was strong and a bit bitter. It took me so long to track down Roti buns in Los Angeles, and even longer to find a place that made them fresh daily and in a variety of flavors. My favorite here is the snow cap roti with its whipped cream cheese filling. Mmmf! Delectable! The traditional coffee roti bun is also fantastic. While the blueberry roti is intriguing, the blueberry filling like you'd encounter inside a jelly donut just doesn't satisfy that roti craving (and is a bit heavy and syrupy over all). read more

A gem of a cafe located on the cutest streets of Little Tokyo! Cafe Dulce is a very aesthetically pleasing little cafe with a really fun menu! I ordered the Iced Vietnamese Coffee - really good! It's on the thicker side and WOW was it caffeinated :) I also tried the Green Tea Roti and the Mocha Roti - both pretty good. I would come here again for the Iced Vietnamese Coffee. Their donuts......were not fresh. They looked so cute and yummy on display, but they were not good at all. My friend and I ordered two Fruity Pebble donuts and one Oreo donut. The Fruity Pebbles on the donut were stale....and the donut in general wasn't very tasty so that was a fail. I hoped the Oreo one would taste better but nope it didn't. The Oreos were also stale. I love this place. Great coffee, great tea drinks, great pastries (all made in house), great service. I've been going here for about 2 years and it's my favorite spot. I always recommend this place to visitors from out of town. You definitely get what you pay for. Prices are about the LA average, 4-5 for a drink, 3 for pastries, 9 for a sandwich. Yum! Their drinks are good. Blueberry match a is surprisingly delicious. The hong kong milk tea is very floral. Chai isn't my fave but very spiced. Ice dolce latte is coffee with sweetened condensed milk and a little too sweet for me. And of course I couldn't pass up the bacon donut hole. It was soft and didn't lack in bacon. Bacon bacon bacon! I love bacon and I have never tried bacon on a donut but this place nailed it. I love their bacon donut holes. As well as the coffee streusel donut it's delicious! The priciest donut I've ever tasted ($3) but I definitely tasted why. We bought 6 items between 3 donut holes and 3 full sized donut. *Strawberry cream cheese one my be said it was pretty good didn't try though, *Oreo donut not great it's just Oreos crumbled on a plain donut don't recommend. *Coffee Streusel Donut I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS especially if you're a coffee lover this gives a great punch of coffee. As for the donut holes we saw that a lot of people on IG try the fruity pebbles so I picked up two of those, I suggest you skip out on those they're not great at all. If you like bacon and are feeling whimsical try this in a donut or donut hole size. It's so good! Staff is great. For 6 donuts/holes we paid $11.50 I believe which is a little pricy but for what I tasted I got over it. There's seating available inside as well as outside. read more

Whenever I'm in that part of town I always try to stop by Cafe Dulce and get some iced coffee and donut! Everyone there is super friendly and don't seem to mind the million and half questions they get from people all the time. I usually get an iced coffee with either a captain crunch or a fruity pebbles donut. Nothing better than going there early enough in the morning to get breakfast there and have a cigarette with my coffee and walk around little tokyo. Good way to start a chill sunday. Constantly recommending people to go there to try their baked goods and usually get thanked for it. read more

Lots of care taken into making each coffee. They use a hand drip so it can take some time if you're in a hurry. If you order an iced coffee drink, the actual amount of liquid in the cup can seem paltry compared to what you paid. The donuts are good. Chocolate creamy donut is my favorite. I get breakfast and lunch here with my family often and we love the food - breakfast burrito, jambon de paris and roti are great. Since we're within walking distance, it's not uncommon for us to make multiple visits in a week. The customer service is usually wonderful but today's visit was awful. Watch out for the white female employee working the front that's super rude - easy to spot as she's not masked unlike the rest of the employees. I walked straight up to the counter to place my order and she thought I said "rosie". For whatever reason that resulted in an attitude-ridden response and pronunciation lesson when I repeated the order back. She then proceeded to get my roti into a bag, toss it on the counter and just walked away to start doing something else. Normally the cashiers turn the POS screen to complete the order, but nope. Apparently she was too important to care about my business. I was literally there two days prior and had a great experience. It just goes to show how one bad apple can ruin a good thing. read more

On both occasions I've been here, they gave my order to the wrong person. Furthermore, they also got my drink order wrong. I get it ... Everyone makes mistakes. But upon finding out the error, the employees were blasé, and couldn't care less. My actually rating for this cafe is 3.25. I have never ordered something here and not liked it. I try come here once every other week to get my fix for milk tea. Green Tea Doughnut: It's my favorite pastry out of all the things I have tried here. The doughnut is just the right texture, its chewy, light and fluffy. Accompanied with a very light and creamy filling. P.S. they are very generous with the filling, so you don't end up with too much dough in the end. Hazelnut Crumble: Because this pastry is very sweet, I like to drink it with black coffee. The bitterness of the coffee complements the sweetness of the hazelnut filling . Bacon Doughnut: Its good but I have already found and tasted the yummiest bacon doughnut that has ever been made. If they changed the sugar icing to maple icing, the flavors in a the maple might accentuate the flavors of the bacon much better. Roti: Its similar to a churros. Airy, light and chewy goodness. The flavor we tried had nuts in it. I want to say walnuts (not 100% sure) Sausage doughnut: The sweet spicy sauce is good with this doughnut. I however, will never order it with my milk tea again. The two together don't go well together. Pros: The service here is good. They always ask to see if you liked what you ordered. P.S. I LOVE their milk tea. I think it's reason why I come here as often as I do. Cons: Main complaint they don't validate for parking here but I get my parking validated at the market. You are unwise if you pass up an opportunity to enjoy a treat from Cafe Dulce. This (like almost all my reviews), is long overdue. My favorite hot beverage is the organic Masala Chai, it's the perfect combination of spices with a hint of sweetness. It's the best drink. The Dulce iced coffee and the Vietnamese iced coffees are my go-to's on hot days. As far as sandwiches, I highly recommend both the caprese and apple tuna, they're both full of flavor and and a great meal. read more

I was in LA this past weekend and had brunch at this shop the day they were doing the Hello Kitty Hungry Hunt. We first thought the line was for the food but were happy to find out we could go get our food without waiting in the line. Im so glad we went there I got a Spicy Korean Cheese-stake with the spicy house sauce on the side because I'm not good with spicy foods. The baguette used was delicious and the fillings were equally amazing. The salad that came with it was so light and refreshing. Oh, I was so happy that I made it there while on vacation in LA! This cafe in the heart of Little Tokyo is great. I love how it has a very modern and clean design and incorporates asian food staples with the modern American way of preparing and presenting food. We initially came there because we heard about the Hello Kitty Donuts, which they unfortunately did not have anymore because the promotion was already over. Nevertheless, we decided to eat breakfast there. We had a couple different things: - A Blueberry Roti which I did not like that much but only because I am not that big a fan of blueberry pastry - A Dulcé Coffee (regular coffee with condensed milk) which I really liked. They take great care when making the coffe. It takes time and I am not sure how well that system works when there are many people. But as said, I liked the coffee and would wait for it again. - A Original Roti, which I liked but not loved and a GREEN TEA DONUT which was heaven on earth. This thing was sooooooo good, I still have dreams about it. Would love to have this cafe in my neighborhood (would probably not be so good for my weight) because the staff is very friendly and the food has good quality.
