For starters I'm not a coffee drinker or a sweets person but my partner is. We took the metro into downtown and came to Dulce to get her some coffee. We ended up ordering a few pastries and surprise.. I loved them. My partner ordered some coffee and a fruit topped pastry. I opted for more of a healthy option and went with a coco pebble and fruity pebble topped donut. It was great, we really enjoyed the pastries. It does get crowded and it happens quick so if you want to hang out there go at a slow hour or right when they open. There's some seating inside but there isn't much. The donut I had here has no business being as good as it was - easily one of the best I've ever had. I really enjoyed their bakery items and drinks but not really the Korean Philly cheesesteak. They gave us our drinks in a matter of less than 5 minutes! But where I wasn't the happiest was when you bite into the Philly cheesesteak it's so ever from the hot kimchi and bulgogi the juices just fall which can really be messy. Came here for the Silent Hill F pop up experience and was not disappointed!! The exclusive pastry they sold for it was SO good. Probably my favorite item from the entire event. The service here every time I have visited has been fast while not sacrificing kindness. It's not a sit down inside and chat kind of place but there are plenty of little tables outside. There is usually a pretty long line but the employees are never too pressed about it to come across as annoyed with you. Working at a busy cafe is stressful sometimes, I really commend the team here. I LOVE Cafe Dulce in Little Tokyo. This little cafe in LA is so good. The Blueberry Matcha is one of my favorite matchas that I have ever had. Customer service is also super friendly and helpful. I made a mistake with my order and they were very understanding. Drinks also come out quick even when theres a big line and its super busy. All the pastries there look so good too and the whole store is very clean. In my most recent visit I ordered the Blueberry Matcha Latte ($5.50) and an extra $1 for Oat Milk. Then also the Red Bean Roti ($3.75). The Blueberry Matcha Latte had a nice matcha flavor that is also not overwhelming. The blueberry flavor you can actually taste too. It's kinda of a weird comparison, but the blueberry part kind of tastes like the blueberry flavor from Kellogg's Eggo Blueberry Waffles. I like how the flavor was sweet, but balanced each other out. The Red Bean Roti had a generous amount of red bean and it was worth getting also. You can't really go wrong with anything at Cafe Dulce. I'd want to come here everytime I go to LA. read more

I ordered their green tea roti and muffin. I was pleased with both. They were both tasty and I would order them again. I also got an iced matcha latte with soy milk and it was made perfectly! I was awake on first sip! My cashier was very friendly and quick on his toes. He def knows what he's doing and he doing choke under long lines and fast paced moments! There isn't too much seating but there were bar stools with a counter all around (I'd estimate maybe 12 of those bar stools, but actually paying attention to the number of things isn't my strong suit). My drink came out pretty quickly and the person at the register, as well as the person who handed me coffee were friendly. I ordered the Dulce latte iced with almond milk. For me, it's the right ratio of ice to coffee so I was pleased. Normally I order the Oreo donut because I love all things Oreo. The donut/pastry selection looks amazing, so I'll definitely be back to try more. Side note: I came on a Sunday. I've only ever come here for one thing: their blueberry matcha latte. There's probably other blueberry matcha lattes out there, but theirs is one of the best. It's not too sweet, the matcha not too overpowering and doesn't leave a powdery aftertaste, and the blueberry flavor subtle but perfectly complementing the matcha without overtaking the whole drink. With your choice of dairy/non-dairy base, you really can't go wrong with the blueberry latte! Service is fairly quick, even on a busy day. Ordering is straightforward with one of the workers at the kiosk, and the menu to the point with a variety of pastries, baked goods and coffee drinks for every taste. Plus, there's a good amount of outdoor seating to make for a nice hangout spot with friends. A bonus shout out to them for validating parking if you park in the plaza lot! The shop has indoor and outdoor seating, if you wanted to dine-in and is located in the Japanese Village plaza. Green tea (3/5): The dough is really fluffy and there's a bit of filling inside the donut but I couldn't really taste the matcha. The donut has sugar coating outside, so I think it was too sweet overall. I would have preferred it without the sugar outside the donut but I did like the soft dough. OG Roti (3/5): This donut was okay. The outside was crispy/crunchy, and there's some filling inside but overall it wasn't anything special. Probably wouldn't order this one again.
