Superb customer service from the barista and staff. I got lucky and was the only one in line; usually this spot gets so busy and has a line out the door. I ordered one of their drinks; it was really good but strong! I needed it for the ride back to San Diego. I did try a few of their sweets; they were good. Cafe is spotless, clean and tidy. Great space for enjoying your drinks, people watch and chill vibe.

Located in the Japanese Village Plaza. Delicious pastries and drinks. Clean space with limited seats inside but some seats and tables outside. Friendly staff

Such a cute cafe in the Little Tokyo area! I just popped in quickly to grab a Vietnamese Coffee, line was long and out the door but I was able to order and receive my drink in about 10-15 minutes. All the people working inside were very nice and very quick. The donuts and pastries looked so good! I will have to come back and try the creme brulee donuts when they are in stock. The cafe food looked really good too! I was not able to find out if they validate parking though, I was in such a rush. Vietnamese Coffee is good, very strong and bitter tasting if you like that! Will definitely come back to try other drinks as well.

Found a booger on my napkins. Made me loose my appetite. Couldn't eat the food after all.

Yes, yes and yes. Delicious pastries and fillings. The hazelnut peanut butter pastry has a light and fluffy filling that perfectly compliments the pastry.

There's paid lots to get here and you'll have to walk into the plaza. Inside is quite small so the line can extend out the door and the waiting area is narrow with limited seating. It's definitely best to take things to-go. The staff are nice and helpful. The drinks arrive at a decent time and the line moves quickly enough. I got the blueberry roti and it was really good! It had the right amount of sweetness. The cookie crust doesn't easily collapse. Also, there's a good ratio of compote to bun so it's not a gooey mess. You really get the taste of blueberries. Same, with the blueberry matcha latte. You get the taste of blueberries. Not so much the matcha. But it's still good and perfect default sweetness level. Definitely worth a visit!

First time here, parking can be tricky, expect to walk, and expect a line depending on the time of day you go. Located in the corner of a shopping center so a little tucked away, can't be seen from the street. Short line that moved quickly, breakfast food is available, as well as their fancy donuts and dessert breakfasts, we got a matcha latte and a Vietnamese coffee, both full of flavor, great size for the price as well. Lots of seating inside and out while you wait. Drinks came out quickly. Friendly helpful staff. Highly recommend annnd will definitely be returning.

This was awesome! The service was phenomenal and quick. The barista took his time to make sure my drink was beautifully made but did it so effortlessly and so entertaining. I loved how he made my drink and handed it off gently. 10/10! The dessert display was SO hard to choose from. The red velvet cake jar seemed like a great choice and it was. It was so smooth and soft. I also got a sea salt chocolate chip cookie. So incredibly moist. The fact I got all 3 for less than $15 is pretty great! The shop is so cute and just the perfect place to dine in alone or with a friend. Definitely a must try. Mental note for next time: Bestie, Please try the brownie!

While my husband and I were exploring Little Tokyo in LA on a Sunday morning around 9:00 A.M, one of the few places that was open was Café Dulce, right next to the Little Tokyo parking garage. The café offers a wide range of baguettes, croissants, meringues, brick toast, and other pastries that are made fresh on site! It was really busy when we visited early Sunday morning. Café Dulce also serves a rotating selection of specialty coffees. There is Vietnamese style iced coffee, Hong Kong style milk tea, Masala chai latte, and other drinks. There is also plenty of seating inside and outside as well. My husband and I ended up eating outside at the patio with one of the tables that was available. It was great to be able to eat and have a coffee while looking at all of the different stores. Current hours for the Café are the following Monday - Thursday: 8:00 A.M - 7:00 P.M Friday - Saturday: 8:00 A.M - 9:00 P.M Sunday: 8:00 A.M - 8:00 P.M We ended up getting the following Coffee Brick Toast (Original): This was good. It was slightly sweet, and soft bread on the inside. One of their baked goods that looked like a dinosaur egg. It had sugar on the outside, fried, and the dough was soft on the inside. It also had walnuts inside the bread. It reminded me slightly of a malasada. It was delicious and my favorite item at Café Dulce! I enjoyed my time at Café Dulce. Some of their offerings are quite unique. I'm from Las Vegas and was visiting LA. I haven't seen anything like some of the baked goods offered at Café Dulce before! I highly recommend if you're in the area to stop by!

Came post show at east west players & grabbed a hot chocolate! My friend got a latte & a salted chocolate chip cookie ! All were very tasty and quickly received (late in the evening!) thanks ! I've been here before and enjoy trying their Asian inspired pastries ! Nice to support local! Enough seating for waiting and talking a bit but more stool counter type, not really a sit indoors cafe! All good, as we took it to go

There was a time when I thought that 13.00 was too much to spend for a decent salad. Now I can hardly believe you can get one for that price. I was very surprised and happy with the Asian Chicken salad here. It was a decent portion, tasted great and 13.00 before tax/tip

SERVICE - located in the USC village - paid parking available in lot underground - plenty of outdoor seating at tables for groups - limited indoor seating - expect a line at all times of day - drinks made relatively quickly MENU - cafe drinks and pastries - plant based milks available for extra charge - average price FOOD - iced oat matcha latte (6/10): standard matcha with oat milk. Honestly there was nothing that stood out to me about this. It felt like something that they wanted to make quickly and move onto the next customer. The matcha itself was dilute and watery. WOULD I GO BACK? Not a huge fan

The lemon loaf slice is huge, I'd say it's the equivalent of two slices, so it's definitely big enough to share. As for the cookies, Levain is known for making them thick and rich. A small piece goes a long way, making them perfect for savoring over a couple of days (if you have that much self-control!). The moment you walk inside, you're greeted by the incredible aroma of freshly baked pastries, and the service was warm and welcoming. I truly think everyone should experience a Levain cookie or pastry at least once. It's worth the visit!

I got a sausage bbang, a chocopie, and a dalgona latte. The sausage bbang was soggy on the bottom and honestly tasted like it was from the day before. The chocopie barely had any filling, just a thin layer of marshmallow and jam. It honestly felt like they used most of the marshmallow for their Dubai choco cookie because it's probably more profitable, instead of properly filling the chocopie. If that's the case, it's better not to sell it at all than serve something like that. The dalgona latte was also disappointing. With ice, the drink only filled to the bottom third line of the cup marking. Clearly, they skimped on the milk. There was also a weird moment when I paid. My total was $15.25 and I paid cash, but I was given $4.75 in change. When I said it should be $5, she seemed confused and asked what I meant. I told her I literally gave you a quarter right now, and she questioned it before eventually giving me the correct change. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume it was a mistake. I understand times are hard, but charging more for products that clearly had corners cut doesn't sit right with me. It just comes across like there's no integrity. Clearly the quality and portions are going downhill. I wasn't even planning on writing this review. I was going to stay quiet, but the chocopie really ticked me off. I'm not going to pay for food that skims on ingredients and shortchanges customers by charging more for less, so this will be my last visit.

And I know that vanilla cupcakes with buttercream frosting is pretty easy to make, but sometimes I'd rather just buy baked goods than make them for myself, especially when I'm driving past what I thought was a popular (and presumably good) bake shop. I expected a high-quality cupcake. The cupcakes looked cute, but they were as dry as the Sahara. They should have been labeled as white cupcakes as I didn't detect any vanilla in them. I suspect that the "buttercream" was made with milk and margarine and powdered sugar.....so much powdered sugar. It was sickeningly sweet, and it was dry too. And a true bettercream doesn't even use powdered sugar. So not only were the cupcakes terrible, they were not even what they purported to be. This is like calling a cut of meat a filet mignon and serving a hamburger. Von's, Ralphs and Albertson's make better cupcakes than this for a fraction of othe price.

He took the time to explain the menu in detail since it was our first time dining here, which made us feel very welcome and comfortable. The service was exceptional from start to finish, and the food was delicious. Employees like Theron are a huge part of what makes customers want to return. Bottega Louie is lucky to have him on their team. He truly deserves a raise, for the level of service he provides. Thank you for making our first visit so special. We will definitely be coming back!

The shop has been open for 103 years and is certainly impressive! We got there about 10 minutes before open and were the first ones in line. The mochi was fresh, they had a huge selection, and at a good price. They also have tons of other snacks and the staff was so nice and friendly. By the time we left, there was already about a dozen people in line behind us, so definitely recommend to get there early. Ultimately, I went with a six piece with two red bean mochi, two blueberry mochi, and two strawberry mochi. All of them were very delicious, the mochi was perfectly chewy, and a good amount of filling. We will definitely be back if we're in the area!

I'd suggest stopping by for the experience and historical significance not necessarily if you're looking for the best mochi you've ever had. Unfortunately, my experience with the staff was also underwhelming. The female employee who assisted me came across as cold and unfriendly, which didn't make for a very welcoming visit.
