My wife and I had breakfast there twice. Very friendly and attentive staff. I never ran out of coffee. My wife had the blueberry pancakes both times. On my first trip I had a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on what seemed to be a homemade English muffin. I opted for a side of arugula salad to put in my sandwich rather than home fries. If I were to order it again, I would have asked for a slice of tomato. Egg was perfectly cooked and not over fried. I also got a side of lobster hash. It was delicious. For the second trip, I had the poached eggs with corn beef hash with rye bread. Beautifully poached eggs. They know how to cook their eggs. :) Beef hash was also very good, but you may want to add a little salt and pepper. I always lean on the savory and salty side for breakfast. I also got a cup of fruit that was very fresh and not full of melons. Worth the $5 because there were plenty of berries, grapes, and just a few pieces of cantaloupe. Restaurant atmosphere is very nice and clean. Bright sun light comes into the bar area. Staff greets you and always say thank you on the way out which seems to happen less these days. It wasn't too noisy during breakfast and one of the few places that's actually opened early. We went right before the busy season so many places seem to have weird hours. We came during the off season and I was very pleased with the food and service. But sounds like hit or miss? Anytime I look at a menu, I need to do everything in my power to not order everything, especially knowing I wanted to try other places through out the day. I was so happy to see that I could get a half order of the French toast and ended up ordering the Apple chicken sausage as another side (knowing I could pick off of other people's plates lol). I wasn't disappointed at all. French toast was more on the eggy side, but for me it wasn't bad. Maple syrup was on point and sausage was amazing. My brother got their regular sausage and fell in love. He said it was the most amazing sausage he's had in his life. He even asked our waiter where they buy it or what the brand is. Hard question but he tried anyways for him. No luck though. We sat by the bar and the bartender helped our table as well. He chatted us up more than our waiter and was very nice. Didn't experience any rudeness or indifference. We all left happy and satisfied. We were told our table was the best seat in the house and they weren't wrong. We live over 3 hours from the cape....stayed in North Truro and went to P town. Looked into many restaurants along Commercial street... Finally found Cafe Heaven! Really friendly ...and they served vegan!! I had the veggie pesto with pasta,,,,it was amazing! Artichokes, broccoli.and fresh tomato ......best vegan dish i ever had and my friend has the lobster ravioli...this actually had extra lobster meat on top of dish. Came here for late brunch and felt kind of lucky to be the last two to get seated as they put out a 'closed' sign right after. Clearly this place is a big hit and in demand. The staff seamed very exhausted understandably so. Our waiter was nice and we were not in a rush to order after seeing everyone scrambling around taking care of an almost fully seated group of diners. I ordered eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. It had home made English muffins and I chose the home fries. The portion was just right for me. For someone who isn't a big fan of big portions, I was very happy to count the number of fries on my plate within seconds. Overall my plate of food was good. The salmon was just right. I wish the hollandaise sauce had a slight kick or a dash of acid. But it wasn't bad at all. The cheese linguisa omelette with a side of hash that my brother ordered was good too. I tasted the hash browns (quite a small portion - again a good thing!) and seemed quite alright. I got a 4 out of 5 rating from him for that dish. Overall, here is what I thought about the experience: Ambiance: 3 stars The space is quite congested and given the popularity - wait times can be significant. It is not easy to maneuver around the place - to get seated or while leaving. Plus if you find yourself sitting next to the window, you end up staring at the line of people waiting outside. Again, you won't have a choice but get seated wherever you are escorted to or get back in the line. Food: here I would like to split the rating into parts Portions: 5 stars (as mentioned above). Love not too big portions. Quality of food: 3 stars (it was good food!) I am yet to buy the inclusion of the word "heavenly" for every third item described in the menu. Price: 3 stars. I wish the prices weren't so high given the quality of food. It's a catch 20 situation. I loved the portions but the food was very middle of the road for me. (Non food related: One of us wanted the t shirt from the joint - was too expensive for $28). I can see myself coming back for brunch again in the future. We read the dinner menu on our way out. This place was recommended to me by a new friend I met in P-Town. He said it's the best place to get breakfast and brunch so I thought I had to try it. Dining alone, it was easy to snatch a seat at the bar, but if you come with a group of 3 or more, there will likely be a wait to get a table. But don't fret, any place (IMO) that has a line out the door and people are willing to wait, the food MUST be amazing, and sure enough, it was delicious and boy was I satisfied with my meal. Just remember, this place is busy, so be polite, be patient, and someone will be there to take your name and place you in que. Breakfast selection is pretty standard, I chose to have the eggs benedict with spinach and a side of Linguica. First time I've ever heard of Linguica, and when I asked what it was, the bartender said "portuguese sausage." DONE! Ordered! Meal devoured! Ptown has been bringing in people on temp visas to work the last few years and they are rude and cold at best. Let's start with service. I wasn't around for the whole "wait in the rain" issue so I won't judge on it since I personally didn't hear tone or understand intent. I do understand that a small place might, indeed, fill up quickly (and this place did not long after we were seated) and I've also been the victim of a large party seated with only a few people and then those few people don't even order drinks but just waited around for an hour and I lost an entire round of income - so I see that side of it too. I didn't find the menu that expansive, and I also went with the Build Your Own Pasta dish. Our food came out fast and all at the same time, which was perfect for a group that wanted to get in gelato and a few more shops before their boat embarked home. Upon first bite, I found the pasta to be lackluster but as the flavors settled together it got more and more delicious, but, then, I hand chose all of the ingredients so who gets the credit here, me or them? The penne was perfectly cooked, I ought to add. I found the server to be sarcastic and charming at the same time, but I do agree that they should have no issue with multiple credit cards. I never understand why some servers make such a huge deal out of this when, have been one myself, I find it's truly not a big deal at all. Our waitress seemed a little out of it. She came by and asked if we had ordered drinks or not. We said no one came by yet--perhaps she wasn't expecting another table this close to closing (we arrived around 9:25/9:30 pm; they close at 10:00 pm). Overall the menu items look good. They have a regular menu that was supplemented by two pages of special items. I stuck with the main menu, and ordered the meatballs as an appetizer and the linguine carbonara for my entree. Both items were really good. I had not had much to eat earlier in the day, and so I was famished and needed a filling dinner. Okay place overall. Food was good; value was decent. I would come back on another trip to P-town but not during this trip (there are just too many places to check out!). read more

Breakfast was great. I had the special: mexican scramble (eggs served with cheese, avocado and black beans with a drizzle of chipotle pesto sauce on top - delicious!). There was at least a half of an avocado in there. Black beans were more sparse but it was just enough. A giant piece of corn bread accompanied the scramble as did a wonderful helping of potatoes. Good coffee. My companion had eggs benedict and enjoyed it. The waiter was a bit terse overall but grew friendlier towards us as the meal went on. From a COVID perspective, felt totally safe, staff was attentive and friendly but gave us our space. This establishment is well-prepared for COVID-19 but not so much to tackle its employees racism. My husband and I had breakfast there this morning. Everything was going great when there was no one sitting around us. As soon as a white-only group showed up, our table was hastily bussed, and we received the check. No explanation, no question whether we were interested in anything else. We were still finishing our food when our tabled got cleaned. Seeing what was happening, we paid our bill, did not leave a tip, and left. While walking pass the restaurant on our way back, our waiter stopped us to ask what was wrong. We first did not want to engage but were forced to once he started screaming at my husband. The waiter is a white man, and my husband is black. When we decided to leave and disengage, the waiter threatened us saying that he has my husband's phone number and will make good use of it. He also told us to go fuck ourselves. I have forwarded this review and information of said conduct to the establishment itself, and have informed them that if we discover any malicious activity associated with the number, we will purse legal action against the establishment and the individual. read more

When we walked by it was too cute to pass up for breakfast. We had a delicious meal and great service. This place, unfortunately only open May - Sept or so, is great. It's run as two seperate resturants -- one for brunch and lunch, and by seperate people for dinner. Both have pluses, the only minus being that everythihng isn't available all day. Brunch is your standard brunch fare, done well, and reasonably priced (esp. for P'Town.) But I think the place really shines after 5pm as a small, charming, casual dinner place, and i can't rave enough about the burgers, which are juicy and delicious. They are available in premade combinations such as "Greek" (feta, black olive tapenade), etc. (Of you can put together your own version.) Anyway you have them, they are seriously some of the best burgers anywwhere. No question the best in P'Town. (And in a fishing village, that i'm telling you to have a gourmet hambuger, that's saying something.) read more

If you want a nice burger, go for the Provincial Burger, which was my entree. It was delicious, cooked to my requested medium rare, with an arugula salad that was well presented. Arugula is my favorite green salad vegetable, so that's a big score there. My friend had the pasta primivera, which had lots of delicious basil in it. If you like pasta with pesto, that's a good option. We had some baby gnocchi, which tasted good, but were a little heavy. Prices here are very reasonable and affordable. Had an amazing meal at Cafe Heaven! The menu is varied with burgers as well as chicken dishes, bouillabaisse, and other very creative dishes. Excellent clam chowder (beats Legal Seafood's hands down, a delicious Lobsterini---an unusual lobster salad with greens and avocado served in a martini glass and then turned upside down; the presentation was beautiful and very creative. Delicious slice of red velvet cake with a raspberry glaze, but was too full to finish. Later sat at the bar with the friendly bartender. Owner Quinn Taylor spent time at our table. I must say we had excellent service- attentive and friendly. The food was also good, but did not reach the level expected in Provincetown. Mushroom ravioli were fresh but needed cheese to complete the taste. Pork and clams also needed a push- perhaps some salt. The sauce was loaded with fresh herbs- a plus. Piri piri chicken could have been spicier but it pleased the palate. Key lime pie ended our meal. Rich and tangy with a buttery crust. Let me tell you that the food we ordered (Omelet & French Toast) was excellent and our server "Debbie" was so sweet and really made our experience so great.
