5/5 Service: staff was very kind 4/5 Ambiance: cute interior with plenty of seating but echos alot 1/5 Food: presentation and portion size is good but extremely salty! Not sure if it was their off day but the amount of salt used was too much.

Order/pay then find a seat! Food will be brought o you. They have food and drinks. Only got their food this time around but would love to come back for their drinks. Good study or hangout spot. Got their tteokbokki & shrimp udon. Both on the sweeter side. The tteokbokki is spicy so if you cant handle spice I wouldn't recommend.

I love Cafe Hwasan! I've been here multiple times already and I'm always so impressed by their presentation of their food and the creativity of their coffee drinks. I think I have liked all my coffee drinks from here. Only thing with this place is that it's usually so packed since it's a cafe, you order up front and find a seat yourself. Since people bring their laptops and work here, it might be hard to find seating during mealtimes.

Such a cute cafe in Plano. Cafe HwaSan has great food and delicious drinks. My favorite thing to eat is the rose udon! I love trying different drinks every time I visit.

The Seoul Ham and Egg Toast is fantastic. Avocado poached egg toast was good but reallly difficult to eat. Herb salted fries were okay, had parm on them and really detracted from the overall flavor and texture. Highly recommmend any of the lattes. Adorable coffee and brunch spot and probably my go to of all the shops in this strip.

The food was very aesthetic but the pastas weren't as great. We really liked the waffle and the katsu. The service was good !

I was meeting my brother over in Carrollton, for Christmas brunch, I got the Seoul toast and he got a bowl with rice and Bulgogi... we also got tea which was hot and very delicious, so delicious. I went back and got a second one. My toast was a really nice breakfast sandwich. But not like the toast I got in Korea, where it was a larger piece of bread that was kind of almost cut in half and then filled. This was actually two pieces of bread and I enjoyed it. I also got some kimchi fries which were very tasty topped with bacon. The boys really enjoyed it. it was a cute little place right next to a grocery store, and there were a lot of things to go try in the shopping center... My brother was excited to find a Russian grocery store. We will definitely be back.

What a lovely cafe! I tried the tiramisu matcha latte and the matcha was creamy and light. The cold foam paired well with the matcha. The tiramisu flavor wasn't that noticeable but still such a good drink. The cafe itself is decorated so well and aesthetic. I'm eager to come back and try more off of the menu!

I liked the cloud matcha latte a lot! It was just the right amount of sweetness. This is a pretty good place for Korean-fusion food. I wish I got to try the rosé udon. I was a little disappointed with the katsu sando bc I paid about $13 and they cut a piece of bread three way. I guess it was a little more dense because of the katsu but I was honestly shocked at the price. I'll try the other food in the menu but it was pretty good nonetheless.

Amazing food. Amazing service. AND they're open til 8 pm. What more could you want ? I got the school tteokbokki , chai matcha latte and a cookies n cream croffle. The service was so fast ! We didn't wait long for our drinks nor food. You pick up your drinks and they bring the food to your table. Trudy was amazing, she's very sweet and suggested the cookies and cream croffle which was AMAZING. Just get it. The school tteokbokki was too good to describe. Everything tasted exactly like it was supposed to, it was hot, deliciously spicy and very fulfilling, i couldn't even finish it all. The chai matcha latte was really good ! I'm not a fan of matcha so this was better than i could've expected. It's a good mix of earthy and sweet. The cookies and cream croffle was impressive. I can't eat anything too sweet so even though it looked like a massive cavity, it didn't make me feel that way. The croffle was perfectly crisp, mild in flavor but it grounds the sweetness of the cookies and ice cream perfectly. I ate it so fast i got a brain freeze The ambience was very amicable, communal, and relaxed. This is a great place for groups and singles. I love coming here and can't wait to try out more of their menu

I love cafe hwasan! I love that they have their full menu available all day! Their menu has such a variety of items so you always have many options to choose from. We ordered drinks and food and I enjoyed all of them! We ordered the tiramisu matcha, and the cloud matcha which was what was recommended by the worker when I asked her what she would recommend for drinks. The tiramisu one was good I wish it was more tiramisu flavor cause I mostly just tasted the cheese foam, the cloud matcha was good it just really tasted like a regular matcha. For the food we ordered katsu curry rice and Seoul ham egg toast. The katsu curry was fresh and good, the curry didn't have a deep flavor like other curries though. The Seoul egg toast was so good I loved the hash brown in it! I definitely liked the inside it's nice and cozy and if you were ever wanting to study there theres enough tables! Also a great place to catch up with friends!! I will definitely be back

Such a pretty interior with EXCELLENT coffee and matcha drinks! We wanted a matcha latte while we were in the area, so we decided to try this place out. The drinks came out quickly, and they were perfectly sweet and creamy. It's my current favorite matcha latte in DFW, and I absolutely want to come back for the food.

Located among the shops and bars of historic downtown sits 1418 Coffee, a cute and genuinely great little shop that fits the area perfectly. Inside, the shop is fairly narrow but offers a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. I arrived with a friend a little before 11 am on a Sunday, and it was absolutely packed. A biking group was posted up outside, students were inside working on homework, even though most colleges have not started yet, and plenty of other patrons were taking their Sunday mornings easy. Despite having at least 10 to 15 people in front of us, the line moved pretty quickly. My friend who was more of a regular at the shop knew a lot of the staff and had convos with them. It feels like a little community! I ordered the Maple Sausage Croissant sourced from Sugar Loaf Bakery along with a hot Purple Haze latte made with lavender and vanilla syrup. My drink came out fairly quickly, and I thought it was great. It was well balanced and not overly sweet. As for the Maple Sausage Croissant, it was exactly what it sounded like, a maple sausage tucked into a croissant. I initially expected the croissant itself to be maple flavored, similar to a McGriddle, but it was still fresh and enjoyable. They had been keeping them warm in a heater throughout the morning, which definitely helped. I have stopped by 1418 Coffee a few times when visiting Dallas, and I plan to keep returning. They consistently do a great job and fit right into the charm of downtown Plano. RIYL: A warm haven in a beautiful downtown.

The kind barista finally gave me my drink and we had to jet out to make football practice. The ambiance was chill. Almost every seat in the place was taken by someone with a laptop so I'm not sure I would come back here with the intent to find a seat. The latte was okay. The espresso tasted a little burnt and was actually quite weak - I wish I had gotten an extra shot. I'm glad I made it back to try Mudleaf, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to try it again.

Seating options are from regular wood bench to a cozy couch. Loved the live plants that add fresh air and a nice atmosphere. They had low playing music that was very urban so you can carry a conversation while supporting smaller artists and working on work. Headphones if you'd like your own music would be great and wouldn't be interrupted with the music playing in the shop. Biscoff caramel latte: Wonderful flavor of coffee. I was fearful it'd be too sweet but it was perfectly sweetened. The Biscoff crumbles add the Biscoff flavor and the caramel isn't overpowering. It's a soft balance of the two together. The foam was pleasant and would recommend hot. Personally would love a stronger Biscoff flavor cause Biscoff is my favorite cracker. But other than that, a super solid beverage. Almond Loaf (GF): The crumble and moist texture were perfect. Not too crazy of a GF taste. Different but wonderful. The top has a crumble similar to Almond croissant that is so satisfying if you're craving a lil more sweet with your bite. Together: Wonderful together. The almond loaf isn't dense but it doesn't completely fall apart either. Super happy.
