I got the Texas club and it was right next to what you would get at a grocery store. Came with a side salad with a packet of ranch. We got two entrees, water, and a coffee and spent $40. As many know, I recently got bit by the brunch bug and after missing out for 2 weeks, I was so ready to get my brunch on. I have created a whole brunch list of different spots around DFW. Each Friday, I droll over my list and cross reference with yelp and google and pick the place after a serious game of "which mimosa looks the best". I know food is important, but let's be honest... Brunch is all about the mimosa! After reading an article on black owned businesses, I knew I had to support. The first thing that stood out about this place was the EXCELLENT service. From the moment we arrived until we left, everyone we interacted with was very polite and helpful. I ordered the classic breakfast with bacon and croissant. My eggs were wrong (over medium instead of scrambled hard). They apologized and offered to make them right, but I was so hungry that I just kept them. The croissant was a bit on the dark side, but soft on the inside. Lots of crisp bacon and the potatoes were simple, yet well seasoned. I enjoyed my food, but the highlight were the mimosas. I would like to try the waffles or french toast on my next visit. Mimosas are only $1 per glass on the weekend and $8 for a carafe. That in itself is a reason to give this place a try. I've been to places and have paid $10 for a single mimosa. Flavored mimosas are $3 each which still is a great deal. I originally started off with a $1 glass, but after seeing everyone else with the carafe, I decided to go with one as well. My cousin doesn't care too much for mimosas so she may have had 2 glasses and I had the rest. (Don't Judge me)! That was probably 5 glasses. Let's just say, I am glad she was driving!! (First Yelp review since I loved the place!) My fiance and I stopped by here for breakfast on our way to the DFW airport after having finished moving him out of TX. Initial experience: 5/5 We were greeted by Bernadette (sp?) who did an overview of the popular menu items when we asked. She was very energetic and it was a pleasant introduction. Overall, the menu has a wide ranging selection of food and espresso items - so many that it took us a while to decide. The Food itself: 5/5 We ended up both ordering the Build Your Own Omelette with: cheddar cheese, chorizo, spinach, mushrooms, grape tomatoes, and jalapenos (seemed pickled), with a side of wheat toast that came with the omelette. The omelette was delicious and filling (big portion)! The layer of egg is pretty thin, and I usually eat fluffier or more of the browned egg omelettes, so this was new but yummy and wrapped the fillings well. Each bite of the omelette was packed with a lot of flavor; super satisfying. Bernadette brought us habanero and regular salsa that she said she made herself, and both of the salsas were delicious. I put all the habanero salsa on my omelette since the nice spicy flavor complemented the chorizo and fresh veggies we added inside the omelette. We also got a cup of regular coffee, which was pretty flavorful with a nutty and sour taste. Though we did not add any syrup, the selection was intriguing. Service: 5/5 Very friendly, and attentive. We got a refill on our coffee and chatted a little with Bernadette who wished us the best for our lives together. This cafe is super close to me, super friendly staff, and really good food. The drinks are good, not amazingly sweet which is a blessing to my health and a curse to my taste buds. I have had the classic breakfast and the burrito. Both are great, and the red potatoes are freaking flavorful. I mean yes. Thank god. For drinks, the creme latte is good and definitely not sweet. The creme brulee is my go to for work and tedious tasks days. The wifi is fast, perfect for work stuff. The tables, chair, atmosphere is fantastic. Tracy is the only one who introduced herself, and she has a great personality. Overall, I recommend this place. I do need to try their drink specials or the alcohol selection. read more

We found this place while visiting TX from a different state. The decor of the cafe is cute and inviting and the service here was AMAZING!!! We ordered a classic breakfast, very veggie panini, a garden omelette, a couple of Cappuccinos. Not knowing what a mimosa was, but intrigued by the description, my 10y old son tried to order one. Bernadette was very friendly as she took our order and gently told my son that he needed to be 21yo to get a mimosa. The staff efficiently helped bring out utensils, napkins, and everything just as we had ordered. In addition to what we had ordered, Bernadette also brought out a "mimosa" (without the alcohol, so basically orange juice) topped with cotton candy for my 10yo. His eyes lit up and it made his day! Was out in this area today and needed a place to have breakfast. This location was starred on my profile. I forgot I have been to this place before and had some brunch if I'm not mistaken. I remember the earl gray silk tea being wonderful. It actually caused me to search out Earl Gray tea and have some at home so I can enjoy it when I wanted to. This morning I had breakfast which was the California omelette. It contained shredded chicken, a basil pesto sauce, tomatoes, spinach, and mozzarella. It was wonderful. I also got egg whites for a healthier option. I'm so glad they did not use avocado as I am not a fan. Everything blended together nicely. Chicken was tender. All the ingredients we're fresh. The tomatoes were not soggy but they used yellow and red cherry tomatoes, which was a great idea in this dish. Another item to ensure that the omelet is not dry. The croissant was just okay. I also had the honey and lavender Earl Gray tea that was a little above average. It contained cinnamon powder, honey and lavender syrup, and cream. I chose skim milk for the healthier option. I came in expecting just a good cup of coffee. Cafe Mila exceeded my expectations! I ended up ordering stuffed peppers that was made with fresh ingredients that were prepared the way I prefer. I enjoyed this food for a couple of days as the portions are stuffed with so much goodness! The best part of my visit was dialoguing with the owner. A gracious, kind woman that really cared about my experience in her place. It was refreshing! I came back for breakfast a few days later and was ecstastic when I requested egg whites with spinach and mozzarella cheese and they were able to accommodate me. I received the same personable service from the staff. Finally, I needed a venue to accommodate a group of 30 and they were so accommodating, professional, courteous and kind to each of us. Tracey went above and beyond, answering all my questions leading up to the function and throughout. I will continue to dine in and utilize all their services in the future! This is probably my favorite coffee shop I have ever been to. The staff is incredibly kind, they know us by name, and the food/drinks are second to none. Brunch is my favorite thing to order here, but lunch is just as tasty! $1 mimosas anytime you order food. You just can't beat the Mom & Pop type feel, which is exactly what this is! Everything is home made, from their coffee & tea to their syrups (vanilla, mocha, hazelnut, etc.), even their sweetener is simple syrup made right in their kitchen. All of the recipes come from Bernadette, the owner. And it's so homey you feel like you're right in her kitchen. For breakfast/brunch I'd recommend the French Toast, Biscuits & Gravy, and Make Your Own Omelette. Breakfast potatoes are always incredible. For lunch, you can't lose with the Street Tacos or any of the Flatbread Pizzas. The stuffed bell peppers are my husband's favorite. Pro tip: Sat & Sunday are insanely busy during the brunch hours, weekdays are nice and relaxed and have a slower feel to them. Also, always come hungry because their portions are very generous. Today I had the "Mila Chocolate Milk" for the first time... which is why I chose to write this review. Nectar of Heaven. Seriously. If you like Mexican Hot Chocolate, you must try it. Mmmmm! I went with my gf, her mother and son one morning for her sons bday breakfast and we waited 40 minutes before finding out they forgot our entire order. However the remedied the situation right away by coming out entire bill and getting our food to us within 15 minutes after the fact. But today was the most unpleasant experience I've had at a brunch spot.... And I've been to some of the rowdiest places in Dallas and NYC. This guy pictured here is one of the lowest human beings I've ever encountered. Were it not for the service and the food, we would have left before even sitting down. It became clear to me that he wasn't just a patron but obviously knew the owners in some capacity... Maybe he even owned the place (but I doubt it). Continues telling his buddy that he "can't trust b*tches because they are all C-words "(YES he straight up said this in full ear of the public). 6 empty beer bottles on the table. This guy was unimaginable. My gf ended up walking away from the table before we even finished because she couldn't stand listening anymore. Obnoxious and loud mouthed doesn't Come close to covering it. And he's clearly known by the staff and management. Acted like he owned the place and even if he does I will never come back.--- Honestly, I can put up with a lot.... But this was too much. I guarantee I'm not the only one to feel this way. Cozy cafe located in the Austin ranch area. I didn't even know this place was here but it's in the shopping center next to Shakertins. When you first walk in you really grasp the size of this place. It is not very big at all, there is no one seating you. You actually place your order directly at the counter as soon as you walk in so there was just a cluster of people in front of the door and you can't move anywhere. There is only 1 menu in front of the register so everyone else just standing there waiting is unable to look at it until it's your turn. We placed our food order and also ordered the mimosa bottle. The gentleman who took our order was very kind and when he was done he turned to a lady and told them "they are getting a mimosa bottle." She says ok we get our number and find a table to sit down at. Well the guy who took our order left and was sitting outside eating with a friend so i am watching the lady who took over ring everybody else up and handing them their mimosa bottles right then and there before they walk away so I'm wondering if maybe she forgot or was just busy. Totally understandable. So by the time our food comes we still have no mimosas so we had to sit for sometime to be able to finish the entire bottle. Other than that the food was very good and very reasonably priced. This is not the best place for big groups as i said it is pretty small and tables fill up quickly from what i saw. This is such a cozy spot. The breakfast is such a good size for a good price. This is like the perfect spot to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning and read a book. I had a very nice caffe breve here after a walk at nearby Arbor Hills Nature Preserve recently. I found Cafe Mila via the Yelp app, and upon driving there, realized that the entire area it was in is one of those places that I didn't even know existed. Full of shops and living spaces, it's a very nice neighborhood. Entering the cafe, the space is very warm with a touch of rustic. It feels more like a lodge than a restaurant, with some couch seating and wall decor to go along with the high top and low top tables. My drink order was taken by a very friendly barista who deftly prepared it and even brought it out to me. The breve was silky and smooth, with a great subtle sweet provided by my requested sugar free vanilla syrup. One thing to be aware of: This is really a cafe, complete with actual food from a real kitchen. A minor side effect of this is that you'll be getting some aroma of the food along with your coffee, so it's not like a dedicated coffee shop where all you smell is coffee. It wasn't unpleasant by any means; in fact, the couple of dishes that I saw at other patrons' tables looked fantastic, but just take it into account if you're really expecting a 100% coffee house experience. I'll definitely be returning here. Maybe I'll try some of that great food, and possibly an iced coffee after what will undoubtedly be some hot summer evenings at Arbor Hills (you must check that place out if you want a good place to walk/bike/jog, by the way). read more

I found their coffee to fit the way I like it ----rich and just past north of bitter. They have a variety of flavored lattes that I still need to try. I haven't had a chance to try the food, but the people around us seemed to be enjoying their meals. 4/5 for location and ambience, it's a nice little cafe that I could definitely see myself doing a lot of work in. They're in between transitioning reward programs, but it looks like you'll have to spend about $50 for one free cup of coffee, so there's not much to write home about there. Wifi was fast and available, and most of the customers while I were there were getting work done. If you're looking for an alternative to Starbucks, this is a good choice. 3/5 for service was just okay. I found that some tables that had left about an hour before us still had dirty dishes left that hadn't been cleaned. This didn't really bother me, but the staff was just standing around. The food was pretty good although I was disappointed with the breakfast potatoes. They where dry and oily at the same time. My hot chocolate was really good but they put in a lot of whip cream where it was like half my drink was whip cream. My friend loved her macchiato and her breakfast sandwich. She did order a dessert to eat with her drink but the service was pretty slow so she was half finished before it came. Now a rush did come in after we ordered so that could account for that. I was turned onto this place by a friend of the owning family and I have to say, it's right up my alley! The inside is cozy and intimate but spacious enough for date privacy, studying/reading/working. They have a few patio chairs out front but no formal patio. My meal: Raspberry mimosas and a build your own omelette. The omelette was HUGE and delicious. I asked for Cholula sauce and was initially told they didn't have it. Shortly after, the owner came out with Cholula AND a homemade habanero sauce that she made. It was DELICIOUS! My group also ordered the pancakes which are huge and fluffy, the bagel sandwich and chicken and waffels. NOTE: the chicken and waffles comes with grilled chicken. Interesting spin on a classic dish. As for coffee, they make all of their flavor syrups in house. They have a sweet setup behind the bar. I can't comment on coffee since I gave it up months ago but the lattes and drip coffee ordered by my group were a hit.
