After the movie at Lincoln Center, I got hungry and the convenience of not having to walk back 6 blocks (= 12 blocks round trip) in the cold was enticing for me stay at the theater to conveniently have dinner. I opted for the spaghetti bolognese and a nd mixed green salad. Both were such big amounts! But both were satisfying! I could not believe I finished the spaghetti bolognese and had half the salad take home. That is all I ate but was satisfied! The bolognese was a lot of meat sauce - but the meat was finely ground that I wonder if it had other things in it? But I was hungry and I thought it was good. I recommend eating there. Another order was the soup:salad/ sandwich. That too was so big - that half the sandwich was brought home. Overall the service was good, food was not bad, and very conveniently located as well without walking far.

The salted brown butter and oat latte is absolutely worth the long line outside! Almost impossible to find a spot to sit inside unless you get lucky, but still worth going!

Fantastic time here! I ordered the autumn spiced latte and it tasted just like fall in a cup! Although small inside, the cafe is so cozy and inviting. There was a line out the door to order but it went by very fast. I'd like to come back to try some of the other coffees on the menu! I haven't tried the food, which seems to be a reason for the low ratings, but the coffee is definitely worth it.

Great ambiance, but just okay food. I really wanted to love this place because the setting is lovely--very cozy and perfect for a date or hanging out. However, the food was a bit underwhelming. The green pasta looked better than it tasted (a bit bland), and the pizza was pretty standard. We finished off with the tiramisu, which was fine, but nothing to write home about. If you're in the neighborhood and want a nice environment, it's worth a stop, but keep your expectations in check for the food. Service is good too

Lowkey some of the best coffee I've had! The brown butter oat latte is 10/10 worth it and the line moves pretty fast! however $7-8 is a bit expensive but so good. Ambiance is so cute and intimate but not a place to sit more of a grab

Long line but move quickly for take outs. Staffs are friendly and the latte is delicious. Not overly sweet and well balanced taste.

This was the first stop of my trip and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was quiet and cozy, perfect for planning my day ahead. I enjoyed my iced caramel latte in a window seat, perfect for people watching. My waiter, Robert, suggested the bagel with smoked salmon. I'm glad I took his suggestion, it was the best smoked salmon I've ever had! My belly is full and I'm ready to take on the Empire State Building!

This is where you wanna go for some lite bites before your show. The menu has just the right amount of variety to get you satisfied before your main event. It's a great choice because it's located right in Lincoln Center. Reservations are encouraged. The three couples in front of us were turned away as we approached the host. It gets pretty crowded in there so we did right making that Rez on Open Table that morning! The entrance to this cafe is located INSIDE the Paradisio Theater. We lost 15 minutes trying to find it. There in 1 gender neutral restroom located outside across from the cafe (also INSIDE the theater entrance). It was okay to use but not the cleanest. We ordered the Mixed Board for 2 and a combo Soup and Sandwich. We chose the Tomato soup which was EXCELLENT and not salty. The sandwich was a meatball parm where we requested just a sprinkle of cheese (yes they do that!) The host was wonderful and astute to assisting the waitstaff who seemed overwhelmed with the influx patrons coming at once for all their shows. All in all a pleasant experience.

I stopped into Cafe Paradiso near Lincoln Center for a quick lunch and decided to try their half sandwich and soup combo. I went with the turkey, avocado, and Swiss sandwich along with a bowl of tomato soup. The sandwich was... fine. Nothing particularly memorable, just your average deli-style sandwich. What did surprise me though was finding a random piece of prosciutto inside; something not listed on the menu. That could be a real issue for anyone with dietary restrictions or allergies. Luckily, it wasn't a problem for me, but it definitely made me raise an eyebrow. The tomato soup was the bigger letdown. It wasn't very hot, and I honestly couldn't tell if it was meant to taste that way or if they'd just forgotten to heat it enough. It had the consistency and flavor of slightly warmed up ketchup, just bland and disappointing. For around $20+, the meal was not worth it. The service to be fair, was perfectly fine. My waiter Sally was friendly and attentive. But overall, Cafe Paradiso didn't live up to its location or its prices.

You can either take the stairs or the elevator. If you opt for the elevator, there's complimentary wine set up that you serve yourself. This would be great if the elevator took longer, but you are already there before you can finish pouring. I like that they have couches for you to sit at while you wait for your table. It's an open kitchen and you can see all of the action. The energy felt great here. We ordered the cast iron focaccia and Tuna Tonnato. The Focaccia is probably the best I've ever had. It was light and airy and not what a traditional focaccia would taste like. The crust had a nice crisp to it. It was brushed with olive oil and finished with salt. Just perfect and highly recommend. It came with a tomato chili sauce, which tasted good, but was not needed for this. We ordered the tuna to pair with the bread and it was a great combo. I ended up ordering the hangar steak and it was good. Full of flavor and the chimichurri sauce was a nice touch. Though, I would have like the taste of the beef to come out more. The marinade overpowered the meat IMO. My wife got the Rigatoni alla Gricia. I like the pasta and it was bouncy, but the dish was too salty though. We ended the night with the basque cheesecake and I have to say that it wasn't my favorite. The texture seemed off. Normally basque cheesecake is smooth and creamy, but this was a little lumpy like when you over cook eggs in a dessert. Overall, the service was great and the vibes of the restaurant was on point. The food didn't blow me out of the water, but it was good. I would come back here for the focaccia though.

There are numerous locations now in the city but this was my first time going and I was definitely eyeing it for awhile. They do weekday lunch specials of $14 pastas, boozey weekend brunches for around $24/25(not including food), and $12 Sunday dinner specials on entrees as well as happy hours on weekdays from 4-7pm that include: $7 snacks, $8 wine, $5 beer, $9 spritzes, and $9 wells. I happened to come in for Labor Day Brunch on Saturday. We both said we were going to do unlimited but honestly could only finish about a pitcher of mimosa and they only charged us for the one pitcher was the nice part. I went with Carbonara Pasta and my boyfriend had the egg, bacon, and cheese sandwich with fries. I'm not gonna lie, I've never gone to aycd brunch and have not finished my food but I could not finish my entree it was so massive and filling. I haven't had a pasta this rich in ages and it was so so good and I am all for not having those skimpy little portions. He couldn't finish his sandwich either. I tried one of the fries and it was nicely battered thick cut wedge fries. Maybe I haven't been eating out alot lately but I was legit impressed. The staff was wonderful and thoughtful. The cafe in itself is very cute and Italian with black and white marble in the bathrooms, white marble bar top, hanging plants, interesting light fixtures. I'm definitely going to make a point to come back soon.

I acknowledged that the server doesn't write the menu, but absolutely zero customer service skills. The service overall was lacking. Aside from taking our order, no one checked on us or came back to see if we needed anything. Our server was just hanging out chatting up the hostess. We had to request the bill from the manager & paid at the hostess stand. Before paying, I spoke with the manager and explained what had occured. He was more professional than the server, but he was still dismissive of my concerns and of the service we received. Management seemed happy enough to promote the "option". The interior was completely packed, and the noise level was high enough for my smart watch to complain. To sample a bit of everything, we shared two orders of focaccia, four pastas, and one dessert. HOUSE-MADE FOCACCIA - 10 Super bouncy with a bit of chew, this was probably the best focaccia I've ever eaten. It came generously drizzled with olive oil and alongside chopped peppers drenched in even more olive oil, which added a nice little kick. We highly recommend starting with this. TAGLIATELLE - 27 Out of the four pastas, this was my absolute favorite. I love the thin yet chewy texture of the tagliatelle, and the bolognese sauce was rich and hearty. Finished with just the right amount of Parmigiano, both the pasta texture and sauce were sheer perfection. PICI 'CACIO E PEPE' - 23 This was such a simple pasta, yet so delicious. It was incredibly creamy and cheesy, with hints of fresh black pepper flavor that blew standard at-home black pepper grinders out of the water. Despite it being the simplest pasta of the night, I enjoyed it immensely. RIGATONI - 32 This pasta was simple yet slightly innovative, featuring sausage paired with a broccoli-based pesto. There was a slight bitterness that was polarizing among our group. While this wasn't my favorite pasta, I appreciated the creativity. PERCIATELLI NERO - 35 This dish packed in more components than just pasta and sauce: plenty of crab, tomatoes, and crispy breadcrumbs on top. However, the combination wasn't very memorable. None of the flavors really stood out, and it was my least favorite pasta of the night. OLIVE OIL CAKE - 14 Served with a pile of golden raisins and fancy whipped cream, this ended up being a bit of a miss. The raisins were a bit too sweet, and the cake's texture was uneven -- some bites were soft and moist, while others felt dry. A couple of others in my group also felt the same way. Overall, I'd give L'Artusi a 4.5/5; it was mostly hits with a couple of misses. The pasta portions are quite small. Since each dish is primarily carbs and sauce, I'd imagine you'll likely need an appetizer or a pasta and a half to leave full.
