I live 5 minutes from here. There are 5 good Korean places like this that are closer, but this is by far the best. Great service and great food. I understand how sometimes it's hard to get service, but overall it's great. We go here every other week. The best thing on the menu is the Fried Spicy Garlic Shrimp. It's a battered shrimp with a spicy and a kinda sweet sauce on it. We try not to order it every time we go, but always fail. The entire menu is good so it's safe to order anything. This was a pretty cool spot, especially when you sit on the patio! Had an assortment of lights hanging and the tables they have outside give it an island vibe while you eat. Great late night stop. Live in the neighborhood so we stopped in last night. Service very friendly. Food takes awhile to come out. They have an extensive menu of food and drinks. Prices high but portions shareable. We tried the pineapple and white grape soju. It sneaks up on you!! We also shared the spicy garlic chicken. Not spicy at all even tho cooked with jalepenos. I have visited the Cafe patio when it first opened and at that time, I thought the food was not bad but one thing I noticed was the menu was more Chinese food rather than Korean pub style. It threw me off a bit but overall it worked well with Soju. i recently re-visited on a weekend and I wrote my name down but had to go somewhere else due to their long wait time. It was not their fault that they do good business on weekends, so no hard feelings. The staffs were very nice about it. So, I gave them a visit on a weekday and it was much more relaxed than before. It was getting pretty chilly so we chose indoor seating. We have two kids so the free arcade machines were a hit! (even-though Mortal Kombat is not my first choice for my young kids, they had Pacman..phew) My wife wanted to have some sort of soup and we decided to get the fried-rice soup due to the cold weather. She wanted to try their blended strawberry makkoli(slush) and I got the OG soju! The soup was very good and my wife was very happy with the blended rice wine. She did mention that she would prefer the servers ask if customers want real fruit bits in the drink before they make it. Also, it would be better if it was not too much like ice cream but little more liquidy for people to be able to drink. My wife had to use a spoon to scoop to drink(?). The food is okay, it feels like it's better than actual, because place like this is scarce in this area. I can't really recommend a dish, because nothing really stood out to me. Price is bit on the higher side for what it is. Service is sloooooow, almost none existent, not attentive and tend to forget. Absolutely not consistent in providing banchan for the dish. One day they will give you, one day, they won't; even with same dish. It's like servers are at their very first job in their lives with no experience, which won't be so bad, if they gave some sort of effort. Been here twice already and both times I've really enjoyed myself here. The service is really welcoming, ambiance nice, music selection-good, food great, and variety and cheap selection of alcohol. This place is really nice to hang with friends. 4 stars only because I think they should change their Thursday times on yelp. It says they close at 1:30 but we were told in person that the restaurant closes at 12 instead. For food we got the black bean noodles, roasted pork belly, and the spicy rice cake. The bossam was really good! The only complaint was maybe that the black bean moody was a tad too liquidy for me, I guess I like it more dry? Happy hour 5-8 =cheap beer. Drove 45 minutes from work to eat food. When i tried to make reservations online, it shows its not busy today. It mentions they are close at 2am. Reached there at 11:45. The server said kitchen closes at 12 so cannot take table anymore. I told him its only 11:45 and came from far to get food. He said kitchen closes at 12 so he cannot take more order cause kitchen gets off at 12. You guys should either change that closing time at 2am or atleast sit the costumer when they are there!!!! Honestly, if I could I would give them 0 stars. I was here last week drinking with few of my friends. We asked them for shot glasses & poured shots for each other. I took my shot & there ended up being a shard of glass in the cup. I bled & when we told them the piece we found, all they did was give us 2 bottles of soju off of our bill. I came here because I saw this was a hot and new place on yelp and because of their interesting cocktails. They have a Soju Cocktail that comes with a popsicle! It's such a fascinating concept and taste so delicious. I got the Watermelon one and I love the popsicle! For the food, I ordered the Pork Belly Kimchi Fried Rice and the Sweet&Soy Korean Wings. I really like how this place is set up. Its nice and very comfortable. The HAPPY HOUR is def worth coming here. starts at 5 i think but ends at 8 pm. which is kind of rare because usually happy hours ends at 6 which doesnt make sense because most people get off work at 6. We just had black bean noodles with spicy noodle soup. It was too much salty or set... If you love Chinese food. You can try paiks noodle or mangu jajang in Buena park. 3. Price : it looks pretty fair. However, I need a more professional and quality foods even they had to charge more. It doesn't matter. This spot is soooooo good. It was my first ever at Korean restaurant besides Korean BBQ and I am in love. I was craving something spicy and saucy and I came to the right place it satisfied all my cravings. I ordered the spicy chicken and cheese without the cheese, spicy seafood soup and spicy garlic wings and all food items were beyond flavorful and delicious. I've been to Cafe Patio a handful of times, so this review is based on my overall experience. First off, I love that this place is in DTF and comes with a private lot to park! I've always been skeptical about parking on the streets or having to valet my car. It really eases my mind to know that I'll never have to worry that someone might accidentally scratch my car. When walking to the entrance, you're greeted by a host, temperatures are taken, and there's a nice covered patio seating, as well as indoor dining. This place is spacious enough to accommodate large groups. I also love that this place opens up late! I usually go with a group of 6+ people after work, and we've never had to wait more than 15 minutes to be seated. Granted we come closer to last call which is around 12:30am, but still never have to wait long! The first 2 times we were here, we had the best service even though it was a busy weekend both times. The servers were attentive, food was brought out in a timely manner, and honestly the whole experience was great! No complaints for sure. We all went recently I think it was just last week, and the experience was totally different. A co worker of mine called ahead to inquire about last call so we wouldn't be intrusive, and the person on the phone was nice enough to extend last call by a few minutes so that all of us could arrive and order together. All of us work in the food industry, and totally understand if we got turned away. We get it - having people stay past closing is annoying, and I honestly wished they had just turned us away! Upon arriving, it took a while for someone to take our order, but at least the alcohol came out right away. Our food came out in a timely manner, but we were missing several items. I'm not sure if the server forgot to write it down, or the kitchen honestly just forgot, but I wish the server had repeated the order back to us just to confirm. We didn't want to be that group to complain! The severs looked upset that we were there so late (we still left before they closed), and again I would have completely understood if they just turned us away. Maybe it was just the fact that we were there so late, or honestly it was just an off day. I don't want this one experience to ruin it for our group. We'll definitely give it another try in the future! Food wise - everything is a 10/10. I've been to a number of Korean places that open up late, but cafe patio beats it all. It's tacky to say, but it's like the food is made with love. There's an explosion of flavor with every bite, that it has us to keep coming back! I don't normally write reviews. I'm one of those that uses yelp to find places but seldom contributes back. However, tonight I felt obligated to write this place a review. A buddy and I came to this place on a Sunday afternoon after a round of golf. We had some food and drinks before calling it a night. The food was good as well as the service. Everything was up to par considering the whole COVID situation and sitting outdoors with servers wearing masks. The main reason I felt obligated to write this review is because after our meal and drinks, we left and headed home. When I got home, I realized that I had left my wallet at the bar. I hurried back to the bar and there was my wallet in a ziplock bag in the lost and found. I had approx. $600 in the wallet and wasn't expecting any of it to be there even if the wallet was still there. I was just hoping to salvage my wallet so I wouldn't have to cancel credit cards and get new ID's. To my surprise, every last dollar was left in my wallet. When I said I wanted to tip the server who found it, the owner came out and said "There's no need. It's just common courtesy." I insisted and they found my the kind server so I could leave her a tip/reward for being such an honest person. In today's society, with everything going on, it feels good to know that there are still honest people out there that are willing to do the right thing. Really unique Korean cafe (quite literally a cafe patio)! I can't remember what used to occupy this space, but now it's a Korean cafe with a nice outdoor patio surrounded by a straw fence. They have televisions outside for you to watch whatever games are on; it's a nice relaxed, casual space where you can easily find yourself hanging out for hours. We tried the calamari and the the pork belly and both were really tasty. We also had an apple soju, which is one of my new favorite things to sip on. Apparently only the watermelon soju slush comes in a special bottle and the pineapple soju slush just comes in a wine cup. False advertising much? Picture has red and yellow bottle: looked much bigger. The waiter even told us that the bottle was big before we ordered Service: 2/10 Waitress never came back to ask if we needed anything after the first order. Overall, i don't think they know how to treat first time customers. Food can be improved. I did like the atmosphere of the restaurant. But for the price, i would go somewhere nicer. This is my favorite place to go with my friends! The environment is lax early in the evening and just an overall nice place to have a good time. Indoor and outdoor seating is plentiful too.
