    Breakfast burrito w bacon

Hearty, warm. Added bacon, but only saw what seemed like bacon crumbs/bits. Sauces were bland.

Came on a Saturday afternoon and there was a short line to order. The drink took a bit of time to come out. There's a decent amount of space to wait around. The inside had good amount of seating but was packed. They also have outdoor seating! They also have bathrooms that are large. The coffee itself was good. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and it had the perfect balance of sweet and espresso. Not bitter and not sour! Not the best coffee I've had in SF but still a good place if you happen to pass by and need coffee.

    Falafel Bowl, to go

This is the place one passes by and instead goes to the same sandwich spot. This is the place one thinks may be only for coffee, not food. This is the place one needs to try to change one's daily or weekly pattern. I received a friendly welcome and then studied the menu. There was the falafel bowl I always wanted to try, so did. There were a few people eating and some working on their laptops in the well-lit space. I chose to take home the food due to time. When I returned home, the food was still warm. The bowl includes a variety of good flavors and an interesting combination of vegetables, in addition to a perfectly poached egg, 4 large falafel balls and a great tahini yogurt sauce. With nice service and good food, I'll be back. I suggest you visit!

Good Service. Clean. Good tasted great. Decent seating. Seems like they get waves of people during certain times of the morning. Love the coffee art I also don't mind that the costumer puts there plates away, there is a cart ib the back that yiu can separate everything out. Free water up front as well

I think the breakfast bowl has redeemed this place for me. I always thought it was overhyped for no reason. I've previously tried the breakfast burrito and did not like it. I've also had another one of their lunch bowls, which I was underwhelmed by however, their breakfast bowl was delicious. I love the dressing, the avocado and all the healthy veggies. Although I will say it took extremely long for me to get my food almost 30 minutes and I had to go check on it. It wasn't even a busy time.

I came here twice and thought the food was good both times. The ambience inside is pretty nice too. Good for just chilling or light chit-chat. I really want to know the type of beet they have in the BBAA sandwich, because it was really good! I asked the people at the counter, but nobody seemed to know.

Solid vibey spot to grab a cup of joe and catch up with friends. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating but it gets packed. I like their crisp breakfast potatoes and the coffee isn't bad either. It's on the weaker side.

    Plantain Bowl! Yummy

I came here to get some work done, and it was the perfect place to do so. The service was magnificent, the ambiance was airy and light, and there were plenty of others productively working (but also many just enjoying time with friends or family) in my row of seating. I ordered the plantain bowl, which was so good, though I wish the plantains were cooked a little softer. But wow, the intermingling of so many flavors and textures was so filling, hearty, and delicious; in addition to the fried plantain there were black beans, half an avocado, red cabbage, tomato, scallions, quinoa, lentils, and brown rice atop a bed of a smokey sauce and an avocado cilantro sauce. I also ordered the red juice, which (although pricey) was good; the ginger was present but not overpowering, which was an unexpected and welcome balance struck.

Looking for a cute, casual spot for a quiet bite or coffee? Or a cafe to work from? Then Cafe Reveille is a great spot. What I love most is their ambience. It's the perfect spot to get some reading done or catch up on work since there's a lot of seating with ample light. Their food menu ranges from sweet and savory bowls to sandwiches and burritos to pastries. Their drink menu also includes coffee, tea, juices, smoothies, and more. There's a ton of options to pick and choose from, I'm sure someone is bound to find something. Matcha Lattes - just OK, wish it had more matcha flavor. Espresso and Lattes - also just OK. Nothing bad, but also nothing memorable. Acai bowl - the most popular bowl as one of the workers recommended and first thing I noticed was that it had a lot of toppings. Fries - probably the best IMO except they doused it in salt. Otherwise, the texture was perfect with a good balance between the crispy edges and the soft, starchy insides. This place gives "girl dinner" energy and it's the vibes that's probably bringing people in.

Cafe Reveille never disappoints! I came by on a Sunday afternoon after funky yoga down the street. My friend and I were in the mood for something healthy and light. Fries and kale salad for me. She got a sandwich with bacon, focaccia and other delicious ingredients. I really enjoyed this spot and I think they updated their parklets recently. Inside is bright and airy too. :) Would recommend!

Bright and cheery entrance and coffee bar!

We had a breakfast burrito and smoothie! Both were delicious. Burrito was big enough to split amounts 2 people. Super fast service (when it wasn't too busy) and cozy, cheery vibe. Tons of natural sunlight everywhere. Good music as well. Definitely recommend!

This is a nice coffee shop in the neighborhood that is very spacious with seating inside and outside. Plenty of space to get work done or read a book. My friend tried their açaí bowl and said it was amazing. I usually go for their iced matchas which I enjoy. They also offer a variety of breakfast and brunch options where you grab a number and they bring it to your table. In addition, they carry alcoholic beverages that are iced and on display in the front. No rush here and the staff that is cooking and bringing over your food is generally very kind. Just taking off the star because the cashiers/front area staff usually aren't that friendly or welcoming.

It's about a 20-minute walk from Union Square and I figured I would burn off the calories that I was about to consume on the walk there and back! Their matcha offerings are plentiful and unique and so I had to get three items to try with so many more I want to try next time. You can order through 2 kiosks and while there's not that many tables for sitting the shop was clean and the staff was friendly. I got the hot Sakura Matcha and while I was not a fan of the Pickled Sakura and pulled it out the rest of the drink was very enjoyable. It had a strong much of flavor which I liked. I also got the iced Ube matcha because I love all things ube 50% sweet and light Ice (which it says it doesn't recommend but I don't know why because the drink was amazing.) I don't usually like dango but i had to try their dango cuz it's served in a matcha cream and it was good in that cream! It was actually a very generous serving of Dango (4 skewers of 4) which would be great if you were with a group.

Given the escalating political tensions between China and Japan, perhaps the owners felt a cup of soft serve sprinkled with matcha could serve as a wreath of peace between the two nations. Or maybe it's a slam dunk to know Asians can't live without their soft serve. I just know from similar ice cream shops in Chinatown that this represents a fresher suite of flavors than most. On my first visit here, I went for the $6.90 Boba Sundae, a matcha-vanilla twist with kuromitsu boba drizzled with a matching syrup (Photo 6). I liked it because it possessed the uniquely Maiko combo of sweet flavors. I went more generic on a follow-up visit and ordered the standard $6.40 Matcha Vanilla Soft Serve (Photo 5). Today I thought I'd give J&J another chance. 8 months to read citicisms and get its act together. SERVICE: JOE & THE JUICE gained a bad reputation in the Bay Area pre-covid for flagrantly disregarding city law that prohibits retail businesses from going strictly cashless. For good reason: Refusing paper and coin currency is defacto segregation against Black and Brown folks and the working poor and those on a fixed income who are more likely to be restricted to cash transactions. This is an unjust policy, refusing to take "certain people's " money and in my book equals BAD SERVICE. FOOD & BEVERAGES: Upon my return to the large JOE & THE JUICE location in San Francisco's Financial District - which I used to frequent most days of the week for years before the boycott - I ordered my signature drink, Americano + extra shot of espresso with milk. Now although J&J is wildly overpriced compared to other espresso bars and snack joints, the Danish (J&J is a Denmark import and not locally owned, so maybe they don't understand how we do here in the USA) ownership refuses to provide the paying customer options between 1/2&1/2, Whole Milk, 4% Milk, etc. It carries only 2% milk which is just above lightly flavored water. I always have 1/2&1/2 with my cofffee but not at J&J, despite the high prices customers pay. I used to stock this location myself with 1/2&1/2 out of my own pocket from the Walgreens across the street, which a customer shouldn't have to do. BEVERAGES: Well my Americano, honestly, was awful. Tasted like dirty dish water. Old stale coffee bean flavor only slightly diluted luke warm water. BAD PRODUCT. SERVICE: It appears JOE & THE JUICE ownership and management are back to their old tricks again refusing cash payment. I told the manager it's city law thay accept cash payment - payment equality - and he conceded he knew this is the law. I was given the excuse the cash register just happened to be broken and they were waiting repairs, but trust me as one who knows J&J very well this is just BS: they're told to tell customers or city inspectors this and cynically keep going on with their segregationist policy. BAD. BAD. BAD SERIVICE!
