Tahini squash bowl

Solid! Wasn't my all time favorite meal but I think it was very high quality. I wish they served their breakfasts past 11 am (online doesn't reflect that the breakfast menu ends at that time.) cute part of SF and was full of folks being social and studying. Pricey but probably standard for that area of SF. Great labeling for allergens and very vegetarian friendly.

Hearty, warm. Added bacon, but only saw what seemed like bacon crumbs/bits. Sauces were bland.

Came on a Saturday afternoon and there was a short line to order. The drink took a bit of time to come out. There's a decent amount of space to wait around. The inside had good amount of seating but was packed. They also have outdoor seating! They also have bathrooms that are large. The coffee itself was good. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and it had the perfect balance of sweet and espresso. Not bitter and not sour! Not the best coffee I've had in SF but still a good place if you happen to pass by and need coffee.

Falafel Bowl, to go
Carol W.

This is the place one passes by and instead goes to the same sandwich spot. This is the place one thinks may be only for coffee, not food. This is the place one needs to try to change one's daily or weekly pattern. I received a friendly welcome and then studied the menu. There was the falafel bowl I always wanted to try, so did. There were a few people eating and some working on their laptops in the well-lit space. I chose to take home the food due to time. When I returned home, the food was still warm. The bowl includes a variety of good flavors and an interesting combination of vegetables, in addition to a perfectly poached egg, 4 large falafel balls and a great tahini yogurt sauce. With nice service and good food, I'll be back. I suggest you visit!

Mocha

This review is just about the coffee. I ordered a mocha, and unfortunately it was one of the most disappointing coffees I've had. It was bland, lacked flavor, and just didn't taste good. I wish there were more honest reviews about the coffee here, because I probably wouldn't have stopped in. The service also felt a bit off. Not rude, but somewhat passive and impatient, as if the barista was just waiting for me to finish speaking. It's a beautiful location with great natural light, but the coffee itself was a letdown.

Good Service. Clean. Good tasted great. Decent seating. Seems like they get waves of people during certain times of the morning. Love the coffee art I also don't mind that the costumer puts there plates away, there is a cart ib the back that yiu can separate everything out. Free water up front as well

I think the breakfast bowl has redeemed this place for me. I always thought it was overhyped for no reason. I've previously tried the breakfast burrito and did not like it. I've also had another one of their lunch bowls, which I was underwhelmed by however, their breakfast bowl was delicious. I love the dressing, the avocado and all the healthy veggies. Although I will say it took extremely long for me to get my food almost 30 minutes and I had to go check on it. It wasn't even a busy time.

I came here twice and thought the food was good both times. The ambience inside is pretty nice too. Good for just chilling or light chit-chat. I really want to know the type of beet they have in the BBAA sandwich, because it was really good! I asked the people at the counter, but nobody seemed to know.

Solid vibey spot to grab a cup of joe and catch up with friends. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating but it gets packed. I like their crisp breakfast potatoes and the coffee isn't bad either. It's on the weaker side.

Plantain Bowl! Yummy
Maria W.

I came here to get some work done, and it was the perfect place to do so. The service was magnificent, the ambiance was airy and light, and there were plenty of others productively working (but also many just enjoying time with friends or family) in my row of seating. I ordered the plantain bowl, which was so good, though I wish the plantains were cooked a little softer. But wow, the intermingling of so many flavors and textures was so filling, hearty, and delicious; in addition to the fried plantain there were black beans, half an avocado, red cabbage, tomato, scallions, quinoa, lentils, and brown rice atop a bed of a smokey sauce and an avocado cilantro sauce. I also ordered the red juice, which (although pricey) was good; the ginger was present but not overpowering, which was an unexpected and welcome balance struck.

L'eau si' vous plaît... Un cafè, s'il vous plaît. I love Reveìlle. ... Side of fries (pretty good) Acai bowl Matcha Latte

Looking for a cute, casual spot for a quiet bite or coffee? Or a cafe to work from? Then Cafe Reveille is a great spot. What I love most is their ambience. It's the perfect spot to get some reading done or catch up on work since there's a lot of seating with ample light. Their food menu ranges from sweet and savory bowls to sandwiches and burritos to pastries. Their drink menu also includes coffee, tea, juices, smoothies, and more. There's a ton of options to pick and choose from, I'm sure someone is bound to find something. Matcha Lattes - just OK, wish it had more matcha flavor. Espresso and Lattes - also just OK. Nothing bad, but also nothing memorable. Acai bowl - the most popular bowl as one of the workers recommended and first thing I noticed was that it had a lot of toppings. Fries - probably the best IMO except they doused it in salt. Otherwise, the texture was perfect with a good balance between the crispy edges and the soft, starchy insides. This place gives "girl dinner" energy and it's the vibes that's probably bringing people in.

Kale salad and fries

Cafe Reveille never disappoints! I came by on a Sunday afternoon after funky yoga down the street. My friend and I were in the mood for something healthy and light. Fries and kale salad for me. She got a sandwich with bacon, focaccia and other delicious ingredients. I really enjoyed this spot and I think they updated their parklets recently. Inside is bright and airy too. :) Would recommend!

Food we ordered: - Tom yum omelette w/ shrimp - Thai tea French toast - Drunken noodles w/ chicken -- the noodles they used are not the typical noodles I'm used to but it was filled with flavor with a kick of spice. - Tom yum noodle soup w/ crispy chicken -- my favorite dish!! The crispy chicken was recommended by the server and it truly did not disappoint. The chicken was crisp and juicy and the noodles were cooked perfectly. For drinks we got the Thai iced tea, butterfly lychee fizz, and the coconut milk latte. I got the Thai ice tea less sweet and it was perfect for me ( I usually don't like it super sweet). The butterfly lychee fizz was very refreshing (could be less sweet for me) and the coffee was also very good! Would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area or looking for brunch food that isn't your typical American brunch!

In my opinion Lapisara ranks in the middle due to the other excellent options available. Seated immediately--had a reso but on a Wednesday morning not really necessary. It took a long time for the single employee to get to us but we weren't in a hurry. Cappuccino was very good in a cute "bear mug" and very reasonably priced. We shared a pacific omlet--not much crab, lots of shrimp, and nice swiss cheese/scallions but tasted kind of fishy--potatoes were only avg. Son said huevos rancheros were average. Price point good for SF and portions adequate to share. Location convenient so we will try dinner there tonight before a comedy show nearby. Dinner-5++ stars; 4 of us Had dinner last night-6pm-reso but not needed. only one other group dining. Single Waitress was great-we let her know we needed to leave in about an hour for a show and she timed everything perfectly--we even had time for dessert. we ordered so many items that she brought over an extra table--we shared everything family style. Most Yelp reviews only mention brunch but the dinner was awesome--service; food: taste/quality, presentation, portions, prices we phenomenally low for SF ($200 with a bottle of wine for 4 people). We started with the garlic butter clams-small but tasty. Tuna tartar was excellent quality and enough to share. Samosas were more like empanadas--very good with peanut sauce so good it rivaled my own home made. We continued our culinary adventure with crab fried rice-delicious, a large portion and my son who lives in SF and has tried dozens of crab fried rice ranked it in the top tier. The pacific catch rice noodles with crab was also excellent-big portion, lots of crab, tasty. Final entree was their specialty-Mussaman Curry. Wow, tender meat/potatoe "stew" with a very unique flavor from the star anise/cinnamon and peanut--to die for. Creme Brulee was very good with lots of fresh fruit accompaniment My only complaint was a very limited wine selection. Lapisaia will become one of our regular spots for dinner!!!

I wouldn't call it spicy at all. The omelette felt small for the price and there wasn't much filling inside. It came with a side of potatoes that were really good. They had a nice crisp on the outside and were soft on the inside. I also got a regular coffee, and they do unlimited refills. The place was busy for brunch, and I liked the bear theme. Some of the coffees came in bear-shaped glasses, and some of the lattes had a decorative bear made out of ice.
