So, I am a service connected disabled veteran at 100 percent having TBI, dizziness and proprioception problems. I use my dog as a reference point and for stability while walking. As I walked in, I was seated in the back w/prejudice questioning my status as a Veteran and not welcomed. My dog immediately went under the table as trained. I ordered, ate, and made friends with the friendly staff who initially tried to challenge my status. I walked up to pay and spent over 40.00 dollars for a meal plus tip. I walked into another area adjacent to the cash register at the main entrance of the restaurant looking for a restroom. I was immediately stopped by the owners who were seated on a bench in the foyer. "Sir, excuse me sir, we don't allow animals in his facility," said the female owner. When I turned to her, she had a look of disdain with a frown. I apologized and stated that I had just ate and paid my bill and on my way out. I attempted to show proof of my status and that I needed the dog. The male owner stated," Where's his smock? " My dog wears a green harness with my military insignia adorned to the harness. I stated, according to the ADA, its not required. ARIZONA and FED LAW Under Arizona's service animal law and the federal American with Disabilities Act (ADA), people with disabilities may bring their service animal to all "public accommodations" including restaurants, schools, grocery stores, theaters, businesses, hotels, motels, and other lodging places, public transportation, entertainment and sporting venues, and social service centers such as senior centers, homeless shelters, and food banks. ¹ What is a service animal? Under the ADA a service animal is defined as a dog that has been trained to do work or perform a task for an individual with a disability that is directly related to the person's disability. Does the service animal have to wear a vest or identifying harness? No. Under the ADA service animals are not required to wear a vest, ID tag or harness. After I explained my understanding of the law, the male owner became a tyrant and stated that he'd look into it, as he was a veteran himself. He became irate and started slurring and spitting his words out at me. I tried to state that I was just looking for the bathroom, but he cut me off when I was trying to explain. I am going to report this to the ADA and all the Tucson veteran organizations in protest. I go to eat as a treat and its rare. I am now triggered to the point I feel nauseated and will not ever go back there. I am boycotting this location and will ensure that place is known for treating people with disabilities unfairly and with prejudice. read more

Some items are special and may have limited availability but you can check this on the website. Almost every meal comes with a vegan roll. The restaurant has nice homemade teas, fountain drinks and canned. No alcohol. They have about 10-15 small tables so you can combine for a small group of six, but anything larger may be awkward. I just can't say enough about this being a non-profit and community GEM because of how they help their staff. I am very pro employee and they make sure their people are doing great. You can pay with card, and sometimes they have specials like meals for two people for $30. Tipping optional. They also support art with local artists pictures on the walls for purchase.
