I don't have enough words to describe how good this place is! It is QUITE the pretty penny, but I liked this buffet WAY much better than the Bacchanal in Vegas. The food is unlimited, and you can have as many King Crab legs as you want! I like that there's no time limit (unlike the Bacchanal) and you can take your time. That table is yours for the rest of the evening. They have a variety of food to choose from, and they even have a chocolate fountain for dessert! If you're celebrating, or if you just want a nice buffet experience and willing to shell a little bit of coin, this is your place! And they validate self-parking too, just ask your server for the ticket before leaving. My family and I came here for dinner on a Sunday. We love coming here for one reason, all you can eat seafood! While they have many food options, we really want to make our money's worth on the whole lobsters and king crab legs. They also have a sushi station where they also serve sashimi and hand rolls. This place is quite pricey, it used to be a lot cheaper and they used to have a free dinner voucher for your birthday but they stopped doing that before the pandemic. Cafe Sierra is inside the Hilton. There's plenty of parking, but you do have to pay for valet or self parking. Our server Mike was really nice and friendly. He came often to check up on us and always kept our drinks full. He was also very quick and efficient, he noticed me struggling opening the king crab legs and brought me some of the cracking tools. It was in a nice High ceiling restaurant. I thought it would've been bigger but surprisingly satisfying. All you can eat lobster, crabblegs and oysters. The lobster was very seasoned . If u want it plain then that would only be the lobster claws. You need to use some of your strength to Crack open the crab legs. I couldnt bother so I stuck w the yummy lobster. Been going here whenever we want to do all you can eat king crabs or lobsters. First off as someone who has been going here since late 2000 - I've seen them transform and change from a classy hotel restaurant to just a typical Asian style buffet. My last visit was last Saturday night for a date night with hubs prior to that we went last year and I feel like they really maximized the space. They put the tables so close together. So what's new since last year? Well their price really went up - $149/person for weekend seafood buffet. But it includes drinks. I had white wine and soda and we also got coffee and hot tea after. I want to give this place more stars but sadly for the price it is still not at par with the Las Vegas seafood buffets that i have been to. Outside of the lobster and king crabs the other dishes were just basic. Prime rib wasn't as good. One of the lobsters I got was overcooked therefore rubbery. The next ones I got were better, unlike before I noticed you can only get king crab with the lobster whereas before you just grab it yourself. Outside of the seafood (oysters / scallops) and prime rib there weren't anything else in the counters that I found worth trying. I took a lamb chop - very chewy. Dessert options are also sadly limited. There wasn't anything memorable in the selection. They have sashimi but the guy isn't always there - would prefer if they have him on standby. No hibachi grill. Even the sushi selection was limited. So why would you go here? I think this place will be worth it if you can eat maybe 5 lobsters and you're patient enough to get through that prickly king crab shells. They only give you a cracker - no scissors or anything else. They do give a LOT of wet wipes so that's good I guess. read more

Food was decent but definitely not work the money and extra charges at the end. 3 people $531. Never offered wine/beer with dinner so I didn't know it was included with the meal. Lobster was rubbery and king crab were soft. Shrimp was fresh and shrimp cocktail sauce was delicious. And to top it off, they don't validate parking if you valet. $19.50 . They should definitely pre- warn you about the "facilities " charge that was an extra $70 to our bill and an extra $49 for taxes. This is insane!!! The dessert bar was the highlight of my evening. I started my NYE celebration at the unlimited surf and turf buffet. The menu ranged from whole lobsters, various types of crab legs, oysters, prime rib, pastas, pizzas, tacos, sushi, desserts, and more. The drink menu included unlimited wine, champagne, mimosas, beer, and soft drinks. The quality of the food was excellent. There was live music by a soloist which was ok. The drink service was slow, they definitely needed to staff more people and come up with a better system with the waiters and bussers. Well wow, what can I say. It felt like we were having a dinner fit for kings! We checked off all the shellfish seafood, and loved every bite. They even offer bottomless drinks and wine, which was a great bonus. What truly impressed me, though, was the variety beyond just the seafood. I made a reservation at Cafe Sierra for my husband and my 19th wedding anniversary. Our reservation was for 5:30p, but we arrived early and were accommodated at 5. Right away, our server Mike made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. Our drink orders taken, we were off to serve ourselves. The people serving the food asked us if we were celebrating anything, and all wished us a happy anniversary. My review isn't based on the food. You can read all the other reviews to see that it is great quality seafood. My review is for the amazing service we received. Never have I ever received the attention we received from Mike and the rest of the staff. Drinks were always filled, our shells cleared, and Mike came and checked on us often. When the meal was done, Mike surprised us with a beautiful desert. No other restaurant has ever done this. Not even the few high end ones we've been to. No noisiness. No crowdedness. I recently dined at this seafood restaurant and I had reservations for 5pm (open time) and I didn't get seated until 40 mins later and they had many open tables. I had a mixed experience. While the food, especially the snow crab legs and lobsters, was excellent, and there were plenty of dessert options, I found the sushi disappointing. The reviews I read were not impressive, and I have to agree--the sushi was less enjoyable than what you'd find at a typical Chinese buffet. The seating arrangement added to my discomfort, as we were placed right next to the entrance where people walked in, and behind us was an open wall with people waiting to be seated standing just behind me. It felt awkward and uncomfortable. Additionally, although the restaurant offers parking validation, it didn't work, so I had to pay the full parking price. Despite these issues, the snow crab legs were a highlight and somewhat made up for the other shortcomings. I had high hopes from the YouTube videos I watched about this place, but ultimately, I left feeling disappointed. Was it worth $400 for my family and I? For some maybe yes but for me, no. The restaurant is nice and the staff is very friendly happy to explain the seafood buffet and let us take a look before deciding. There are tons of tables and someone was playing live music. The choices were plentiful with all types of seafood king and snow crab, oysters, meat choices with a carving station, pasta station, Asian food and more. We were really excited to try it all. However it is exorbitantly priced and we found the food to be average. The majority of the seafood is cold, you can ask for it to be warmed up but we found it got cold quickly. Many of the buffet trays kept things pretty lukewarm too so by the time you sat down everything was pretty much cold. So if you don't mind that you may enjoy it. We found the Asian options to be only ok. You do get unlimited drinks including alcohol which is a bonus and we did enjoy all the dessert options, including a milk and white chocolate fountain. It pains me to write this review because I would really had high hopes for this place. I came here on Thanksgiving with high expectations, but I will absolutely not be going back. It was extremely difficult to get in. Restaurant I got a voicemail confirming my reservation telling me that they needed to hear from me by tomorrow. I frantically called back five minutes later could not reach anybody within about a 24 hour. Period. I called about 10 or 15 times and left a voicemail. My next step was actually going to the place and letting him know I would be there the way that they left a voicemail made me assume that they were going to cancel my reservation if I didn't get in contact with them and this is going to be our Thanksgiving meal. So onto the meal, the price was $95 which is pretty low for a seafood buffet in my opinion they had crab legs this whole lobster lots of shrimp prime rib so lots of selection just because some place has lots of selection. Doesn't mean that it's actually gonna be good. It doesn't matter that it's a buffet. Everything was cold and was an absolute letdown. Whoever cooked the lobster bars did not know what they were doing. There was super chewy and not the right texture. The butter that they had for the crab legs was definitely a cheap butter. The prime rib was way overcooked. It just wasn't a good experience the waiter absolutely rude which I'm assuming is because they're a non-tipping facility as they charge a 15% charge on the bill, which I'm hoping goes to the staff but I'm not sure. There's a lot of dessert choices. The only one I tried was the creme broulee which I literally had one bite of and it was absolutely horrible lol being transparent the best thing that they had was, they were making Thai iced tea with Boba's and I asked if she could make me one without Boba and she did and it actually ended up being super tasty can't go wrong with sugar lol all in all skip this place I absolutely do not recommend in. All you can eat fresh lobster and (smaller) king crab legs. As of March 2026 Dinner is $175 per person including admission, fee, and tax. So NOT cheap! They validate parking but there is still a fee of $12. This hotel I'm sure was VERY cool in 1980, futuristic even, but now it feels dated. Cafe Sierra is in a very open spot in the hotel that seems like an afterthought. Tables are crammed in as dense as possible, and the whole place seems a bit tired, but you aren't coming here for the ambiance. Non alcoholic beverages are included, we got there at 5:20 and the service at the beginning was great and Maria was friendly, as the dining room filled up the service got worse, towards the end we had to clear our own plates. For this price point the service should be MUCH better, but you aren't coming here for the service. This buffet is on the smaller side, offering a variety but not a wide variety. But you aren't coming here for variety. The lobster is fresh, and the king crab legs while on the smaller side were tasty. I had 4 lobsters and 12 crab legs. Hey don't judge! One of the lobsters was chewy, the other three quite good. The surprise of the buffet was the marinated short ribs (kalbi) they were EXCELLENT easily the best I've ever had, so tender and juicy and a tad spicy which was good. So surf and turf for the win! Also the churros were also the best EVER! I was surprised. Sushi was ok, and dessert bar was nice. So is it worth it? yes, ONLY if you want to eat A LOT of lobster and king crab legs. It's the only place in LA to get this kind of buffet. I just don't like overeating any more and there is no value here to "just" eat 1 or 2 lobsters. I will not be returning. The food was good, but the fees are not. I was under the impression that the 18% surcharge was for the employees. So we paid the surcharge, the taxes and the waiter informed us that a tip was not included in the 18%. He was tipped, but upon further investigation, I find that it is a no tipping establishment. The 18% goes toward their "living wage" and heath care. They lowered the price of the meal and made up the difference in fees. I see why it was not as crowded as before. read more

Really disappointed in the hidden "facility fees" we were staying here for my sons 18 birthday and decided to splurge on the lobster and crab dinner. We were shocked when we got our bill and an added $70 was under facility fee. It does not go to the wait staff. They couldn't even explain what it was for. No signage in the front. They had to print a receipt to show us. Honestly even the staff seems to know it's BS. I would literally rather paid $20 more per person and not feel like they snuck in something and were trying to screw me. I may have gone back. Food was good, not mind blowing but good. What an interesting trip to Cafe Sierra I had. It definitely was that indeed, interesting. It was my first time here and I definitely had a great time, but I wouldn't come here for a sexy night out. This is for if you want an excuse to eat all you can crab legs, lobster, and other seafood. The price you pay ($150 per person) is steep, but the value is definitely there. As far as ambiance, let me paint the picture: Kids running around, tired parents, and when I was there, there was a wedding party in the middle of the restaurant serenading all of us with Karaoke. To be fair, it is in a hotel, essentially attached to a theme park (universal studios) so I definitely failed to do my research before my date, but you live and you learn. Anyway! About the food. It was good. I humbly admit, I went for the crab legs while my date, knew he was there for the lobster, so we ultimately had a ball people watching and having all the yums. This place also touts all you can drink, but after our first round, it was a little hard getting refills. My mom has been craving crab for the longest time and saw a video on tiktok about the all you can eat crab at Cafe Sierra! Located at the Hilton Hotel across the way from Universal Studios Hollywood. Made reservations a week in advance online. For brunch, they provide bottomless mimosas man were they strong lol. They had all sorts of food from seafood to omelettes, pizza, sushi, prime rib, dim sum, korean bbq (galbi) and more! I love how they offer a handroll station! If you aren't feeling the selection of sushi, you can head over to the chef behind the sushi sign and they'll make you a handroll! The dessert section was honestly so cute. I loved the cute lil pink and white chocolate fountains. I was honestly surprised that they had boba (milk tea/taro) only. The customer service is friendly, but I noticed there was only one waitress running around. They were fast on getting finished plates off the table though which was nice. The restaurant itself is nicer than most buffet restaurants out here. I did notice some of the plates weren't 100% clean, but for the most part everything else was clean. Brunch was $95 per person, on the bill they automatically charge about an 18% gratuity which I was not aware of. Just a FYI. Overall: I honestly enjoyed my experience, is it the best food I ever had no, but it's a buffet. The quality is way better than the other buffets out here in California in my opinion. I stayed at the Hilton, Universal City, with family members for 3 nights. We dined at this cafe the first night, and it was really good ( expensive!). The server, Violetta, was quite attentive and pleasant. No complaints, the food was good and we were happy with the service. The 2nd night, my brother was there about 15 minutes before us ladies. The server was Violetta, again. My brother said that she was not attentive. It took him longer than he should have waited just to get in his drink order. First, I was excited to be at the restaurant. The lobster was a bit tough and chewy as if it was overcooked so I only got one, if it had been better, I am sure I would have eaten more. However the King crab legs were delicious. When I first went to get king crab legs, the guy behind the counter said I could only have a few, I asked our waiter and she said that is not true, its all you can eat in two hours. I was not happy about that. I eventually went back three more times. People were eating a lot of lobster, so I guess it was good to everyone but me. $139 is very pricey. I don't eat that much, so I was not feeling that great when I left, trying to put all that food in my body. Will I go back ? maybe not. But it was fun. I gave 4 stars because of the guy serving the king crab legs was not very nice. Another guest at the restaurant told me the king crab legs use to be a lot larger. Service was very good. Selection and quality was also on point. However, the lobsters was frozen, thus lost the natural sweetness, of fresh. But it was plentiful. The king crab was not good. They were smaller than snow crab legs. The lamb chops and prime rib were a little bit over done. The rest was very tasty. Love the crepes and other desserts. read more

Man, oh man. Where to start on this one? For $159/person there are some basic things you expect for a place to deliver on. Things like cleaned oysters, seasoned mac-n-cheese, maybe no bones in the salmon sashimi, and duck that isn't dry. I was already skeptical when our server said that this was the best restaurant in the world. Really tho?! A bit of an over sale. Some good takeaways were the nice guys serving up the lobster and Alaskan King Crab, the clam chowder was good, and the mashed potatoes had good flavor and they remind me of how I make them at home with heavy cream. read more
