Drinks: 5/5 The matcha drinks tasted premium and well-made. I tried the hojicha and was really pleased with the overall flavor. The menu also includes short descriptions, which helps when choosing drinks you haven't seen before. Customer Service: 5/5 The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. They answered our questions about the unique drink options and made the experience feel welcoming. Ambiance: 5/5 The vibe was chill and mellow, perfect for relaxing and enjoying your drink. There are a few tables inside, plus cute merch available. Parking: 4/5 Parking spaces are a bit tight, but availability was good when we stopped by in the evening. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when I'm around town.
I've been looking for a new cute cafe spot in Long Beach to enjoy some coffee and chill and this was a good spot to go to if you're in the area. I read a few reviews how it's spacious, however I found it to be smaller than I thought. Because of busy it was for a Friday morning, seating was limited as most people were there studying/working or socializing. Staff were very nice and friendly and worked quickly despite the rush. I ordered an iced banana latte and it was good! I would say it was more a hint of banana. I also tried their chocolate croissant which was a good size for breakfast and was perfectly toasted. Most people come here for their matcha so I'd have to give that a try next time. While there is a parking lot, parking was a bit challenging as this coffee shop is in the same lot as a lot of other businesses.
Cute little spot to catch up with a friend! We went with the cashier's recommendations: Banana Matcha Latte & Strawberry Matcha. The matcha was surprisingly dark and thick, but craaazy sweet! I definitely gotta ask for reduced sweetness next time. When I come back, I might try their Banana Latte instead :)
The matcha is smooth and earthy without tasting bitter, while the banana flavor adds this creamy sweetness that almost tastes like banana pudding in drink form. It's rich, balanced, and not overloaded with sugar like a lot of trendy matcha spots. The layers and presentation are super clean too, and you can tell they use quality matcha because the flavor still comes through instead of getting drowned out by milk or syrup. The vibe inside is chill, modern, and perfect for catching up with friends or getting work done. Definitely a spot I'd keep coming back to for matcha runs.
You know what considering how f*cken busy it was... I'm talking line out the door, full house in this mfer I got my drink pretty quick. Especially since I came on a Saturday between 12:30-2:00 PM, which is peak hours. I was a little intimidated at first because it was like 90% women, and I had a shirt on that said "kinda fit kinda fat," so I thought I might offend somebody lol. Anyways, if I'm around the area, I'd definitely stop by again considering how spacious it is and how fast the line moved. The coffee itself was good you can see and taste the crema, which tells me the espresso was pulled correctly. No burnt taste at all. The spot is aesthetically pleasing, super clean, and offers more than just coffee. I also did some research on the company because I was curious, and I respect that the owner really started from the bottom. It was about 4 years in the making as she started by creating her own house-macerated fruit/compotes, doing pop-ups, and selling them in jars before incorporating them into beverages. Those are the kinds of stories I like to hear. It shows she didn't just jump into opening a cafe with no experience she actually put in the work, experimented with flavors for years, and understands what pairs well together. It's a craft I can respect, especially when you see so many new coffee shops opening up using Torani or Monin syrups without really mastering the fundamentals first.
This is my first time at Cafe the Scoop in Long Beach. It is located in a small strip mall. It is a Korean-inspired coffee shop. According to Google, It is known for its high-quality matcha drinks, creative lattes, and house-made puddings, especially the banana pudding. They use fresh ingredients like natural fruit syrups. Some Popular items include scoop lattes, matcha lattes (especially with pudding), and pastries like kouign-amann. See full menu in attached pictures. The Interior is spacious, bright, fresh and inviting with natural elements and a very relaxing jazz music playing in the background. It offers a cozy atmosphere with free Wi-Fi and outlets, making it a great spot for studying, I had the scoop Latté which is a cold drink made with sweetened espresso, milk of choice and vanilla cold foam. It is topped With a Palmier cookie and cocoa powder. I also had an almond croissant. My drink was really good. The croissant was good but no different than anywhere else. Prices are reasonable, and the young staff is really friendly. I was there for about an hour, and it was very busy. The crowd was mostly college students. I really enjoyed my first visit. I highly recommend trying them out.
I came here because I heard their matchas are good and they're not... They're amazing! Best flavored matchas around. I love the banana and strawberry matcha. Plus I can get it with oatmilk. It's always so rich in flavor without diminishing the flavor of the matcha. Look how green that drink is! That's some strong matcha Always friendly service here and love that there's enough room to sit and hang out or work.
Super yums! My friend and I came in on a Sunday morning and it wasn't too busy. We got our drinks within 10 minutes and set up shop to get some work done for the next few hours. There are several tables and outlets so it is a good study cafe. But onto the drinks! We got a matcha latte (75% sweet) and a matcha einspanner, both of which were amazing. I will admit that I got almond milk instead of oat which was a mistake because almond milk has a strong flavor so I couldn't taste the matcha as much, but that was definitely my bad. It was still super smooth and the perfect sweetness level so I couldn't complain! My friend for the matcha einspanner which she said was really good, a bit on the sweeter side, but perfect if you like your matcha sweet. She tried the banana matcha before and liked that one more than the einspanner though. Overall, I would come back and try their other offerings! Next time without almond milk though haha. Yummy coffee shop in a nice area. I saw lots of people going for runs or walking their dogs nearby. This place is right in the corner of a weirdly shaped parking lot. There's a good amount of seating inside and it was a nice place to sit and enjoy our drinks Scoop latte: 4/5 this wasn't bad but I like super sweet coffee so this was a little bitter for me. It's prob pretty sweet to most people though Banana pudding: 4/5 I liked this a lot and ended up putting some of the pudding into my coffee like extra cream top and mixed it in Def would wanna try the banana latte next time I'm back
4.5 stars rounding up to 5 Came on a Saturday right at 9am opening and there was already 5 people ahead of me. The inside looked really aesthetic and clean. The employees were friendly! We ordered the: - Banana Matcha Latte w/ oat milk: delicious! You can taste real banana chunks on the bottom. We got it 50% sweet since the banana makes the drink sweeter - Matcha Latte w/ oat milk: got it 75% sweet and it was the right amount of sweetness. You can taste the matcha and overall refreshing drink. This would be a cute date spot. There's a few tables and seats inside. There's also a restroom inside which was clean. We sat there for a bit and there was consistently a line. Would come back again if in the area!
I was expecting more quality matcha but it was somewhat disappointing...though the store was super busy. This is between boba and a speciality coffee shop ceremonial matcha. Though the color of the matcha was super green, it definitely was not high grade matcha - and a little on the sweeter side for me. We also got their coffee, which I feel the same-a bit too sweet and in between Starbucks and boba shop.

Cafe the scoop is a cute coffee and matcha spot in a sleepy retail center that offers rich and tasty beverages. We came here in a Sunday morning and parking was extremely easy to find since there was a private lot. I ordered the Strawberry Matcha east sweet. The nice thing is that even though they batch make the Matcha, because I wanted a sugar adjustment they whisked my matcha fresh to order but warned me it will take an extra 5 minutes. The matcha was had an amazingly deep flavor which is exactly what I look for. The jams are also made in house and I felt like I could actually taste the strawberries rather than it being a syrup bomb of sweetness. There is a secret menu item of Banana Matcha which is super tasty as well. Very intense banana flavor. This drink is thicker though likely due to the fresh banana. They also sell different flavor jams separately which I would love to come back and try again. They have a good amount of seating for studying and a bathroom. The prices felt a little high but given the fact they use fresh and high quality ingredients, I would say it's worth the price. Café The Scoop Review: I came right when they opened to try their banana latte -- I actually found it on TikTok -- and ended up getting the last one of the day. Forgot to leave a review then, but after a few more visits I finally tried their strawberry matcha latte with oat milk. The fresh strawberries make a huge difference, and it's super refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness. They've also fixed up the space, and the atmosphere is relaxed, neat, and perfect for meeting up or getting some work done. Service is always on par with great drinks consistently and a spot I keep coming back to. read more
Cafe De Scoop. Sat at 9am. Parking was a little tight but lucky we found a spot pretty fast. They have a specialty section on their menu and I opted for a matcha einspanner. It was very balanced. They use high quality ingredients. Overall very solid drink. They also sell jams and different desserts like banana or matcha pudding. Nice customer service. Overall great experience here read more

New favorite matcha spot! So many options and so yummy. Inside is clean with some seating if you wanna hangout with friends or work on your computer. They have pastries but they usually run out by 12pm. They also have banana pudding (matcha, oreo, strawberry & regular). Their matcha is authentic and not too street- just how I like it. Service is friendly and fast despite the buzz of people. Have been coming back regularly and this spot is definitely consistent across all three! read more

Wowzers!!! This review is all about their matcha!! Highly recommend their einspanner matcha! Very refreshing, perfect imo! I tried the viral pairing with their banana matcha pudding, OMGOSHHHH MUST TRY!! Best combo ever! The pudding tasted super fresh, which I love! It's airy, fluffy, not too sweet! I came by the shop on a Sunday afternoon and they were super packed! That says a lot about their drinks. I can definitely taste their matcha being ceremonial, flavorful. It's made with love! Cafe the scoop is the spot, I went recently this week and it was a 10/10 for me. I got the matcha einspanner and the mazagran. Both were amazing!! Also saw a lot of good things on the banana pudding and I have to say it exceeded my expectations of it. I would recommend and grab one with my matcha again. The matcha was super taste and rich in taste in my opinion. The mazagran was like an espresso tonic but with a sweeter taste. Still loved it. It does get quite busy in there and in the parking lot but it's nothing crazy. The inside is super cute and cozy. A lot of tables if you want to stay and hang out or do computer work. The workers are super friendly and helpful with questions. Im not from this area but I highly recommend coming here and can't wait for my next visit! read more
#168 in my Coffeeshop Chronicles. Cafe The Scoop is a cute coffeeshop tucked away in the outskirts of Long Beach. The shop is pretty spacious, with five tables that could seat 2-3 people each as well as a communal high top table that can seat up to 6 people. The interior is charming, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and service was exceptional. The staff were super friendly, and one employee even came out to play with my dogs during her break (it's a dog-friendly coffeeshop). Suffice to say, my fur babies loved the attention! Anyways, I ordered their signature Scoop latte, a standard latte sweetened with agave and topped with foam. They also added a little palmier cookie as an aesthetic bonus. Next up is the strawberry matcha, which I ordered after reading how the cafe is known for their matcha drinks. The matcha was smooth and the housemade strawberry puree was excellent. Last but certainly not least is their strawberry pudding, which was incredible! I'm not the biggest fan of bananas so I love that they offer an alternative flavor (but they also have banana pudding for you OGs so don't worry ;) ****************** My Ratings: 1 Star: Terrible; just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars: Wasn't a fan so Not likely to return. 3 Stars: Meh. Drinks here aren't cheap, closer to the standard 6-7 bucks (the one-dollar sign on this page is a little misleading), but the ambience is pleasant and the drinks are good! The banana latte tastes a little artificial (I prefer the one at Da Vien), but the strawberry latte is delicious and has chunks of actual strawberry in it. It seems to be a popular study spot, but there are only a few tables, so best to get here early. read more
Interior aesthetics and ambiance, check. Drink aesthetics and options, check. Staff customer service, check. Prices, ehh...a little on the pricier side, which is the only reason for docking a star. Prices seem to be about a dollar more than I'm used to at other coffee shops. That being said, this little shop has definitely made the shopping plaza a LOT more busy. I have gotten the strawberry matcha and the banana matcha, and both tasted and looked great. Not to sweet and can for sure could taste the matcha. The chai was ok - needed more spice, which I find to be the case for most places serving chai lattes. Cafe the Scoop is definitely a hot spot in the area as far as coffee shops go, and I would recommend it. read more

Cafe the Scoop has become my favorite matcha cafe. It isn't local to me but I visit on the weekends and any chance i get. Their customer service is also a plus. They are kind and make you feel welcomed. So far anytime I visit and have questions about their drinks they are glad to inform me. I've never had to wait too long. I've heard great things about Cafe The Scoop and after visiting, I can see why! I ordered the Matcha Einspanner and Strawberry Matcha Latte and both were delicious. The drinks are smooth and have a rich matcha flavor. The Strawberry Matcha Latte was a bit on the sweet side for me, but this drink typically is at other places as well. I also tried the Banana Pudding which was not too sweet - delicious! There are a few tables and high top table seating. The ambiance is chill and quiet so it could be a good place to study or do work. Located in a plaza, there was plenty of parking available (I visited on a weekday morning). It is located across a school though, so the general area was super busy during morning drop off. I'll definitely be back! read more

Super cute matcha shop. I loved the decor and bright lightening. The parking in this plaza is a little hard but we managed to find a spot. The service was super friendly. If you want to add an extra espresso shot, the cashier said that their machine makes two espresso shots at a time so you might as well get both. -strawberry matcha: 3/5, I added the foam on top and I liked the sweetness it gave the drink. The matcha drink itself just tasted like milk. I could barely taste the matcha and the strawberry honestly. -vanilla latte with extra espresso shots: 4/5, Our friend loved the drink. A small drink shop specializing in Matcha. About 10min away from CSULB, it feels like a nice spot to study at. The space is small but I love how their tables all have electric outlet for us to use. I got the matcha einspanner and my friend got the matcha latte. Both were really good! I love how creamy the einspanner is while the matcha latte had so much matcha syrup on the cup when we received it! For a matcha lover nearby, this hits the spot! Their puddings are also a high recommended item! They have strawberry and banana. I love how they arent too sweet and if youre craving just a sweet pudding, the strawberry is a must. For banana lovers, the banana pudding creaminess is divinee. The staff here are all extremely nice and I love how fast, efficient and informative they are about their menu. Parking was surprisingly easy when I stopped by, which is always a win. I can see it getting a little tougher on a busy day, but for my visit it could not have been smoother. Walking inside, the café immediately gave off a cozy and cute vibe. It felt warm, inviting, and like the kind of place you would actually want to sit and stay for a while. The atmosphere really added to the experience. The staff deserves a shoutout too. The cashier was one of the friendliest people I have ever come across in a café. That genuine friendliness set the tone and made the visit feel extra welcoming. And finally, the drink itself. The latte was incredibly fresh and probably the freshest I have had. I went with caramel, which gave a slightly burnt flavor, but that was on me. Next time I will try the straight vanilla, which I am sure will be perfect. Atmosphere As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with an immense amount of natural light, high ceilings, cozy decor, and soothing music. This is the type of place where you just want to grab your drink and relax before starting your busy, loud, chaotic day. Every seating area has an outlet and a charging station, so you can come here and, as the saying goes, "work from home." Drinks Obviously, we are here for the drinks. Aside from the confusing name, this isn't an ice cream store. Instead, they serve very well-balanced and thoughtfully constructed coffee and matcha drinks. They also have tea, flavored milk, as well as desserts and pastries. Now, when I go to any coffee shop, my usual preference is to ask for the drink to be less sweet. But believe me when I say this--the best compliment you can give in the Asian community is that it's "not too sweet." Their drinks are perfectly balanced. In a world where most lattes taste like milk, you can actually taste the individual ingredients, and they all work in harmony with each other. We've gotten their lattes, matchas, and teas without much modification. Trust that they've done their flavor research. Service The service is warm and friendly, always greeting you with a welcome and thanking you when you leave. Wait times are typical for this type of coffee shop, but everyone seems polite and knowledgeable about everything they sell. Super welcoming and friendly staff!!!! Every single employee was so nice!!!! Good vibes for sure!!! Packed on a Tuesday morning and I totally get why. The strawberry matcha latte is amazing!!!! I'm picky about my matcha and it's incredible. The color is beautiful and it was very enjoyable. Parking is a bit of a pain. There is a parking lot, but it was pretty full and the one or two parking spots that were available, were tight. I just opted to park on the street. My sisters said this shop is the more popular ones nowadays because it's one of the only Korean-esque ones in Long Beach. I got the strawberry matcha latte. Very tasty drink! The strawberry puree tastes super fresh :) I saw they sell the strawberry puree on its own. A huge jar for $19! The workers there all seem very nice and cheery. It was pretty bustling when I dropped by Saturday afternoon. Sunday morning around 10am was more chill but still had a good amount of people. read more

My friend recommended this place to me and it did not disappoint! I got the Strawberry Matcha Latte and it was one of my favs. I love a strawberry matcha that has strawberry puree instead of a strawberry syrup or milk and this had strawberry puree. The presentation of the drink is pretty, and I was told to mix it well before drinking. I will say the straws are not the greatest to mix this drink unless you got a boba straw then it'll mix better. I loved the sweetness to this drink, I think it's the perfect amount, not bitter and not too sweet. I would love to try the Matcha Einspānner or Scoop Latte next time I'm here. I visited on Saturday around noon and the parking lot is small so beware of the time you visit. The wait time in the Cafe was so quick, no line, the cashier was so friendly and my drink came out in less than 3mins. This is a cute lil spot to study or go with friends and chat. I do wish there were more seating but I was expecting it to be full anyways for a Saturday. read more

I understand and now support the hype! This place is so good. From the friendly staff to the amazing drinks. I went on a Friday morning and I managed to squeeze my way into the tiny parking lot that is shared with the other businesses. There is plenty of different seating inside and they have lots to offer on the menu. I ordered the Banana Latte and jalapeño bagel and both were so good! If you love bananas, you will love the Banana Latte (not to be confused with a Banana Matcha Latte). I will definitely be returning! *There was a little mishap during my visit but someone (I think the owner) personally reached out to me and took care of it. I think that speaks volume on a business to care about their customers and make things right. Thank you! read more
Found this place on Yelp and decided to check it out! It's located in a small plaza with a parking lot. We came on a Saturday morning and the cafe was pretty busy. There's lots of seating and tables inside but it was so busy that we couldn't find a seat at first. We tried the Scoop Latte ($7) and Matcha Einspanner ($8). The scoop latte comes with a heart-shaped croissant cookie which paired well with the drink. Both drinks had good flavor but were wayyy too sweet in my opinion. I would probably ask for less sweet next time if they have that option. The cream tops on both were a thinner consistency and ended up just dissolving in the drinks, making it creamier/sweeter. The service was quick and drinks came out fast. They also sell strawberry and banana pudding which seemed popular but we didn't try them out. Ordered the strawberry matcha with light ice. I would say that the matcha is one of the best that I've had. It's thick and creamy and strong but not overpowering. It mixes really well and has a really nice color! I'd love to come back if I'm in the area to try their other drinks read more

I ordered the Banana Matcha Latte and it's probably the first one I've had that didn't come with banana cream on top. I had pretty high expectations because of the reviews but honestly it was kind of mid. The matcha flavor was really weak and it just tasted super sweet, like I could barely taste the matcha at all. The coffee shop itself is nice though, it's a good place to get work done. Just one thing if you come when it's sunny it can get really uncomfortable sitting at some of the tables because the sun shines right in. I hope they add blinds or something soon. read more
Matcha einspanner : 3.5/5 - More on the sweeter side, I would ask for 50% sweetness next time. It kind of hides the matcha flavor. I feel the cream top should've been more as well? And a bit more thicker? So like when it melts into the drink, it's creamier! Overall, still a very delicious drink because I can truly taste the matcha. Strawberry matcha : 4/5 - it's not too sweet nor is it too bland. I can really taste the earthy matcha flavor and it blends really well with the strawberry. Scoop latte : 4/5 - that coffee is sweeter than others. I would say that you could taste the strong coffee but also the sweetness in it too. For me I don't like strong coffee, so this would be a good choice of drink if you're like me. Giving lofi coffee shop vibes in here!! Very clean, very aesthetic! I loooooovee the Scoop!!! Oh my goodness, what a charming addition to Long Beach!!! The parking is dangerous but its worth it for their delicious drinks!! I like that they have their special cheongs you can buy in the fridge. As for drinks, I like that they had special things outside of the usual coffee and matcha. I tried their strawberry milk and my friend got their banana milk and wow, its amazing!! The banana flavor is UNREAL!! This place exceeded my expectations. I got their banana matcha latte, the flavor of banana was strong and natural while the nuttiness of the matcha also shined through. The matcha itself was strong so I sipped and savored slowly so it could last me through an 8 hour school day. I also got the banana pudding and it was the best I've ever had...not to sweet like many of us want. The pudding was light and creamy with banana chunks, layered between graham crackers that balanced the flavor and texture of the pudding. I also got a pain au chocolat that was buttery, flakey and perfectly chocolatey. I will absolutely be trying the strawberry matcha latte and pudding which I know will be amazing. The owner helped me decide on which matcha latte to go for, so thank you Miss!!! She is very sweet and I can tell she cares about her customers. The cafe is very spacious and open with a lot of windows for natural light to come through. They also have little works of art and merch that make for a picture perfect moment with your purchase. I would recommend this place for studying or relaxing, there's ample seating and the aesthetic is cute and not too distracting. I was browsing the internet for a good matcha place in Long Beach found this little hidden gem! It was busy when we arrived, and the place was full but service was quick and fast! I tried the banana matcha latte and on my first sip my taste buds awakened because it was so good! They use ceremonnial grade matcha and the sweetness was just right. I could taste little tidbits of banana in it too. I was happy they were able to substitue the milk with oatmilk for non-dairy drinkers like me! My sister tried the matcha banana pudding and said it was delicious and devoured it! It was definitely worth the hype! The place was cute and cozy. I did get this with almond milk at less sweetness. The foam was not too sweet. I think getting it at regular sweetness would have made it even better. But it was decent. In terms of parking, they had some space in the plaza. I did go on a Saturday at around 11:30am. It was definitely a busy time. Many seats were already taken and the music was a bit loud. It seems like a decent study spot if you had some headphones and a nice spot to chat with some friends. I'd definitely come back to specifically try their matcha lattes! Cafe The Scoop is a cute little coffee shop perfect for studying and doing work! I ordered an iced matcha latte with 50% sweetness and it was perfect. The matcha was not grainy at all and tasted very earthy. The staff were extremely friendly and accomodating with the sweetness adjustment. The cafe itself is decorated really cutely and there is ample seating. Parking in the plaza can be a little tricky since all of the spots are compact, but there are a lot of spaces. What's the scoop on Cafe The Scoop? It's honestly another gem! I've been seeing this cafe on my feed for some time, and I've was captivated by the color of their matcha; it's known fact that you can tell how good matcha is by the color. Their matcha has a good balance between umami and nuttiness. I specifically got their matcha einspanner since I like my matcha on the creamier side (forgot a pic!) Once you order, service is relatively quick. They do have a small pastry selection that was mostly out by the time I arrived. On a Sunday around noon, this spot is really poppin with a lot of folks getting their post-church pick me up or enjoying the Sunday cafe vibes. The interior is a bright clean white with bright minimalistic artwork. This spot is really close to my church, so I will be here pretty often! Cafe the Scoop is located in a small strip mall off of Los Coyotes Diagonal and Parkcrest. It's a little hidden and the parking lot isn't huge, but you can probably find parking in the neighborhood nearby. It is right at the fork in the road, so I definitely got a little disoriented driving out. But it's worth jumping through hoops for Cafe the Scoop! read more
I never was that big of a matcha drinker but I've been enjoying it more and more now. I'm not a matcha connoisseur by any means but I really do like the matcha here. Not sure why but I do know that it's good. I've tried their matcha einspanner, the strawberry matcha and banana matcha. Love them all! For the strawberry matcha, they use fresh strawberries. I have also tried their banana pudding and it's pretty good. It's creamy, banana-y but not overpowering and it's the right amount of sweetness to my palate. I've been on a matcha kick lately and have heard really good things about Cafe the Scoop. I decided to head before work this week. I really like fruit, sweet matcha and the barista recommended the banana matcha for me. This ambiance of this cafe is so cute! The music made me feel like i was in a snoopy movie- to be it's very soothing and comforting. They also had banana and strawberry pudding which I'll come back to try soon. The drink itself was hands down one of the best matchas I've had. The banana flavor that they use is soooo good, not an artificial sweetener. Can't wait to try more things. read more
As someone familiar with the LA matcha scene, I'd say this place is on par with top matcha spots in LA! I ordered the matcha einspanner and it was delicious. It was strong and had a good matcha flavor. The cream was light, creamy, and not too sweet. The matcha had the perfect amount of sweetness. Mixed together, it was yummy. This should be the standard for quality matcha. I was honestly surprised at how good the matcha is because this place wasn't as viral as places like Stagger in Ktown LA, but this was a good find and hidden gem. My friend I went with ordered a matcha latte with oat milk and also agreed that that matcha was good and strong. The portion size was also on the larger side and at a good price of $8. I visited this café around noon on a Sunday and it was pretty busy during the 5 hours I spent in that café. The interior was nice and there was wifi and outlets, so I could work there. However, it is pretty loud since it seems like a social café, so if you don't mind that it is a good place to get some work done. There was lots of staff working to keep up with the large crowd, but they were mostly polite given the volume of orders. Everything about my visit to Cafe The Scoop was perfection, starting with the customer service and ending with my coffee and croissant. I work in Orange County but live in Long Beach, and I'd been on a mission to find a great coffee spot near home. I tried at least 20 places before stumbling across Cafe The Scoop, and I am so happy I did. First off, the customer service is 10/10. Everyone was genuinely friendly and helpful, which matters a lot to me. Then came the Scoop Latte, and I took one sip and knew I'd found my place. Sweetened espresso, milk, and vanilla cold foam -- it sounds simple but it was perfectly balanced, smooth going down without any of that harsh bitter edge. The cold foam on top made it feel a little indulgent without being over the top. The hazelnut croissant was in a league of its own. Flaky and buttery on the outside, with melted chocolate woven through the inside and pooled on top -- and then a tiny pinch of salt over everything that made each bite feel intentional and just a little fancy. Sweet, rich, and somehow still light. It paired with the coffee like they were made for each other. I'm not drifting anymore. This is my place. read more
