The view at Oceans Cafe is unbeatable; every seat has an unobstructed ocean view. I love how they have blankets available in case the sea breezes get a bit too chilly. I had the avocado toast paired with green tea; very nicely done. Service was friendly and prompt. Pricing is average for beach cafe food. I'd recommend it for a casual place to relax and have breakfast/brunch on the beach.

Stopped here with my son during a bike ride on a perfect January coastal day. It was basically the only option around once our hanger ways, right on the bike path by the ocean, which explains the steady stream of bikers rolling through. Small spot, simple setup, just a little patio with a few tables and a no-frills menu. My son had the breakfast burrito and really enjoyed it. I went with the chicken sandwich. The chicken itself was good, but Kurt Fry's sauce was overhyped for me. It's mustard-based and just didn't wow me. Not bad, just not what I was hoping for. I'd probably order something different if I came back. Service was friendly and solid. Food was decent, nothing fancy, but it hit the spot during a ride. You're definitely paying a bit for the ocean view, which is fair given the location and low-volume setup. Overall, it did exactly what it needed to do. Good stop, good views, solid enough food for a beach cafe.

Really crappy and slow service. I had to peer over to the inside of the building to make eye contact with the waiter who finally came out to see us. Very unfriendly, took 20ish mins for the cooks to make scrambled eggs and 2 bacons? The food was mediocre at best how can you even make scrambled eggs that are dry on the outside and ok on the inside? Don't get me started on the bacon... I was embarrassed that I brought a friend here and we had such a negative experience...did not tip because of the servers lack of facial expression or care. We had to ask for water... 0/10

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. Our past experiences here were amazing, which makes what happened today even more shocking and disappointing. When we arrived, I asked for the fish and chips -- I was told they didn't have it. So I ordered a chicken salad for myself and a grilled cheese for my 3-year-old. After waiting over 30 minutes, I noticed everyone else around us was already eating -- including people who had ordered chicken dishes. I asked the waiter if we'd been forgotten. She said "hold on," then came back to tell me they had also run out of chicken. At that point, we had been sitting there with nothing -- and my child's grilled cheese never even came out. Not a word of apology, not an offer to fix it, nothing. ***side note: while we were waiting a guy next to us was ordering extra chicken strips and fish. I honestly don't know what just happened, but the whole experience felt deeply uncomfortable and possibly racially motivated. I've never been treated this way before, especially somewhere we've supported and enjoyed in the past. We left feeling disrespected, unwelcome, and extremely disappointed. I will never return.

We stopped at Oceans Cafe and Grill during our long bike ride, and it was the perfect beachside pit stop. The location is beautiful--right by the ocean. They even provided boho throw blankets for customers who felt cold, which was a thoughtful touch. The ladies were very nice and welcoming. We ordered "The Cure," and I had the basic toast and scrambled eggs--simple and satisfying. Great spot to relax and recharge.

I had a great time here. Friendly fast service, great chicken wrap and beautiful views. I can't wait to come back. It's right on the bike path as well.

Spent a peaceful morning with my bf here & we had such a great time. Delicious food & a beautiful view of the beach. The service was so great! The chef was super nice & helped us decide on what to get! So glad he did bc it was soooo good!!!

Closed on a Monday??? Just drove here and paid for parking, and it's closed... Not cool.

Says on Google Maps and Yelp that they're opened til 3pm. We drove here and paid for parking just to find out it's not open... Tried to call and nobody answered. Not cool.

Amazing!! Good was great and the view is beautiful. The hot honey for the chicken and French toast wasn't too hot to me, a person whose upper limit for spicy is flaming hot Cheetos lol!!

Can't ask for a better view. beach and the ocean

Always a hit with me and my bff. We always have breakfast but we did lunch. Fish tacos are so good! And the turkey club with tater tots! The tots are light and fluffy! You can do fries or onion rings too! We always go on a Wednesday or Tuesday to see our favorite cook! Derrick !!Especially can't leave with out having he's famous beignets! They come with a great dip but ask for he's special jam so yummy! Service is always great ! And you cant get any better than sitting at the beach and watching the waves Make sure to thank the cook and waiters .

Outstanding Experience! We've been to Oceans Cafe and Grill about four times now, and our last visit was by far the best! As soon as we walked up, Chef Derrick greeted us with a playful prank, telling us the restaurant was closed--and from that moment, we knew we were in for something special. I ordered "The Cure" sandwich and... OMG! The crunchiness of the bacon, the perfect balance of flavors--hands down the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Chef Derrick even brought out his homemade jam and his signature beignets, which were absolute perfection. We've had other great items from the menu, as well. Chicken and waffle, pancake, etc...everything tasty. Just as every other review says, the ambiance, ocean view, outstanding customer service, and top-notch food quality keep us coming back--no matter the beach parking fee or the simple patio décor. Oceans Café and Grill is truly a hidden gem by the sea!

After that many visits, I can honestly say the quality and consistency are second to none. The food is exceptional. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, the ingredients are obviously high quality, and the menu proves that healthy food doesn't have to be bland or boring. Whether I'm grabbing breakfast, lunch, or a smoothie, I always leave feeling energized instead of weighed down. The service is just as impressive as the food. Every member of the team is welcoming, friendly, and genuinely seems to enjoy what they do. They remember regulars, make you feel appreciated, and create an atmosphere that keeps you coming back. Finding a restaurant that's both genuinely healthy and consistently delicious isn't easy, but Love Life Cafe has absolutely nailed it. If your goal is to eat clean without compromising on flavor, I can't recommend this place highly enough. It's one of the few restaurants where I never have to wonder if today's meal will be as good as the last--it always is. I honestly stopped by mainly to try the café since I was in the area, and I'm so glad I did. Since I love exploring and café hopping, this place was a really nice find. From the taste of the food, it's easy to tell they take their time preparing everything, and it truly shows. I tried the Bang Bang lentil bowl, which was flavorful and very nourishing, and for juice I ordered the Solar Citrus, which was absolutely refreshing. The food felt organic and fresh, with a good variety of vegan options. Kennedy and Meredith were great with service, warm, attentive, and made the experience even better. The overall atmosphere was calm and not chaotic at all. Before coming, I also confirmed whether the café was open to the public, and it is. You don't need to be a member to enjoy it. The café area is perfect for bringing a laptop or book without distractions. I really enjoyed my meal and would definitely come back.

My order: * The Farm Club: You really can't go wrong with this one. The pickled red onions and herb aioli give it such a nice tang compared to a standard club sandwich. The turkey was high-quality and the bread held up perfectly. * Spicy Curried Couscous: I had to grab a side of their signature couscous, and it didn't disappoint. It has that signature roasted cauliflower and just the right amount of spice to balance out the sandwich. It's easily one of the best sides on their menu. The highlight of this visit was definitely sitting outside (inside is ok, a bit noisy and crowded). The patio area is clean, spacious, and perfect for catching some sun while you eat but most tables are shaded by umbrellas. Even though it's right off PCH, it's a great spot to relax and enjoy the El Segundo breeze. A couple Tips: * Parking: The plaza can get a little tight during the peak lunch hour, so give yourself a few extra minutes or try to arrive just before the 12:00 PM rush. * Ordering: If you're in a hurry, their mobile pickup is always super seamless at this location and can help you get in and out or you can take your food and eat in the park like courtyard area. I'll definitely be back next time I'm craving a solid sandwich and some fresh air!

Pretty fine. Not bad. Not fantastic. But good. With the price of everything else these days ($25 for 2 double-doubles, 2 fries and a shake...). The salmon was ok. It doesn't say fresh or frozen salmon anywhere, or if it's wild or farmed. I'm guessing it's frozen and farmed. The blackened flavor helps to hide that. The rest of the bowl was pretty good. The quinoa/rice was pretty tasty. The salad was ok, but I'm not a salad lover. Avocado, fresh. Salad dressing, VERY lemony if that's your thing. Brownie was slightly dry but also delicious cuz it's a brownie. It's gluten-free after all. The best part? It's just kind of a mellow meal. There's a lot of places to eat out in South Bay, but I don't always want pizza or sushi or burgers or steak. Sometimes I just want some chill food that's real and good, that's easy to get and easy to take home and this fits the bill! Pick-up is easy. The last time we were here, it was during a busy lunch and both the service and the food were below par. But tonight, it wasn't as busy and our server, Geovani, was excellent. First, we were quickly greeted and asked to select our table (since they were not that busy). Since there was only two of us, we picked a table for two. But, after we decided that we would split an appetizer and an entree, the table for two became way to small way too quickly. Geovani jumped right on this, suggesting we move to a larger table. He helped us move everything over and, voila, we were able to stretch out and relax and enjoy our meal. We started with the pear and blue cheese salad and, wow, we could have just ordered this, split it, and we would have been full. Very flavorful, generous portion that is definitely big enough to share. We also ordered the Sausage & Leek Fettuccine and I was definitely not thinking. Totally forgetting that leeks are part of the onion family (and I have a sensativity to onions). Once the dish arrive, I immediately noticed the similarity and was slowly trying to pick them away from my portion. Once again, Geovani came to our rescue. He asked how everything was and I told him I made a mistake (noted above). He quickly volunteered to have the kitchen make it again without the leeks. I asked, "Are you sure?", and he immediately said yes and removed the dish. Very shortly after, he returned with the "onion sterile" dish and it was wonderful. Both of us were so full you could have rolled us out the door. Good thing the parking garage is so close so we could just hop in our car and go home. Time to loosen the belt! ;) In a week where we have had some personal issues, it was so nice to be treated so well and received such a great tasting meal. Hope you get the time to stop in and I hope you get Giovani to answer all your questions and issues. Enjoy!!!

Then literally 30 seconds later my brother is here, then I tell him he is right right there, he goes "ok, I will let you know when a table is ready", why not use stove common sense & say that a table is not even ready? Sounds like steering maybe because of the 4 kids ? Maybe something else? Very rude and I'm acceptable behavior. Then to add to it, turns out I was talking to the manager "Ello", who is acting in your face and challenging you more like a night club bouncer than a "manager" at a cafe....
