Went to this place Saturday for a bite to eat. Had the rack of lamb plate and my girlfriend had the tri tip plate. The service was impeccable. Role was our server and she was very attentive and made sure all are needs were fulfilled in a timely manner. We have been there several times and always left happy. We will most certainly be back. For a local hookah place, it's not great but it's not horrible either. I've been here quite a few time because it's the half way spot between my best friend and I and we love hookah - I probably wouldn't come here if that wasn't our halfway hookah point. I try not to come here hungry because food is average and the service is hit and miss. The garlic fries are good and we typically order that along with our hookah. The downside with their hookah is that they are super slow and super cheap with the coals so you'll have to ask or you'll end up with little pebbles of coal. We've been known to stay for a really long time and they usually shut down before the actual closing time which is odd. They do have pretty interesting mixes for the hookah so we can't complain about the flavors...still not my top choice but not a bad alternative. read more

I would have gave them a 4 just because of good service in tough times but then this bee kept bugging us and I had to stop enjoying anything to shoe it away again & again & again & again...seriously. This will be a quick review. I know time are tough so I'll keep it simple. Not my kind of place. I like the openness with all the windows hut I don't like the hookah smell (my fault I didn't know). However clear the air better. There's enough with the smoke from the fires. Food was good. For the most part my wife and daughter like it but weren't impressed and felt rushed because that damn bee. A great option for those seeking good hookah and mediterranean cuisine in the Monrovia area. Cafe X2O has definitely become a go-to spot for me. They have good service, good food and good hookah - what more could you want? Their hookah selection is one of the more expansive i've seen, and their staff is pretty good about bringing new coals over. As for food - while the main dishes are good, their appetizers are what won me over. Two of my favorites are the spicy lebne with jalapenos (say whaaaa?) and a hummus special that has chunks of meat in it (because literally everything is better with meat in it). Drinks are pretty decent here too. Slightly pricy, but they don't skimp on the alcohol, which is nice. The one thing I don't love about this place is the closing time. Definitely surprised by the quality of food from here! I got a chicken kebob plate for myself and my bf ordered the lamb chop plate. The chicken was nicely charred on the outside but it was slightly dry on the inside. The rice was fluffy and full of flavor, and the mini salad was nice. For my two sides I got grilled veggies and hummus. The grilled veggies were a tomato and green pepper, both were perfectly grilled. Each plate also came with two thin pitas which was more than enough. The lamb chops were really tender and juicy, I liked it more than the chicken. One thing to note is that I ordered online and got a text within 5 minutes saying my order was ready for pickup, which I thought was odd. I went and my order wasn't actually ready so I waited probably another 5-10 minutes after getting there. read more

Easter dinner during shut down. Ordered online and picked up. Super efficient and order was correct. Food exceeded expectations. Ordered the family meal - chicken and beef kebabs, rice, hummus, eggplant dip, and ordered extra pita and garlic spread. The beef was very tender. Leftovers made delicious meat pies the next day. Horrible experience tonight ! We waited more than 20 minutes for the waitress to come to our table initially. After waiting almost 40 minutes she brought the raw meat without bread. We have ordered 3 items and after 40 minutes we only got the raw meat without bread. When I went to complain, with a rolling eyes and a horrible attitude the waitress stated " you actually might need to wait much longer, we are too busy" I asked to see the Manager. First waitress said that she will get the Manager, then another Waiter came to our table who Was clearly drunk and I actually saw him drinking and stated that the manager is not in and he will be coming tomorrow. Oh and this waiter said " don't worry about it" which was totally inappropriate. Few minutes later the waitress came back to inform us that the manager is in Resturant but very busy. Then she returned in 10 minutes stating that the menagerie cannot see us but he instructed her to give us discount. When we asked the menagerie name she refused to give that info. She also refused to tell us what her name is. We never received the discount she talked about. Additionally for the few times she was back to our table she clearly was showing inappropriate attitude to me and trying to only make eye contact and talk to my boyfriend. We had drove 16 miles to eat there because their food was good last time. Customer services is super important to me and I have high expectations. Won't ever drive there and won't recommend this place. Very disappointing. read more

This is a fun Mediterranean place. I love the covered patio area and the fact that you won't be overwhelmed by hookah smoke if you're there to eat. Food is good. Prices are average. Service is meh... Everybody is nice when you find somebody to help you. Even the, I assume, manager man helping out doesn't check on tables unless you call him. That was a bummer, both times. They weren't even that busy when we went in. The food is tasty though. We love Mediterranean food. The falafel plate and chicken kabob are fresh and good. The pita and hummus comes in large portions and is really great. Drinks are good too. Alcohol is really reasonably priced. I've been twice recently and both times the female server (same one) was preoccupied smoking hooka with her friends. She was nice but it was a little annoying. Food was fine, but the portions and the service... particularly the kebab plate for two was a rip off. The amount of food on this plate was about what you would get at other Mediterranean restaurants for one person for much less money (I.e Heidar Babar or Raffi's). Also, one person in our party asked for a little more Hummus for her falafel plate as there was only very little on the plate. The waitress had to ask the manager for approval, which she did not get. Sorry, but these folks need to go back to customer service training where they teach that it is much cheaper to keep a customer through good service than than to acquire one through advertising. I would recommend this owner revisit what value he provides, while keeping the quality. With what I experienced...this place is more about hookah smoking than eating. read more
